And so, we continue with "Through the Rough" as we've entered the Joint Training Arc! Hope you all enjoyed last week's chapter, because we've got all the action going into this week! There are going to be quite a few surprises to come from this chapter, particularly with Laguna and Hitoshi. Let's just say it'll be something that comes into play later for those two in particular.

Anyways, I shouldn't go beating around the bush too much. Enjoy!

THROUGH THE ROUGH

FLASHBACK

"Artificial Vocal Chords?" Rebecca said to Hitoshi, discussing with him and their teammates about their strategy going into the match.

"Yeah," he responded, "My Quirk doesn't work through things like a megaphone," he told the group, "The electronic waves disrupt the effects, so no one ends up brainwashed," he explained further.

"Then… what's the mask for?" Denki inquired.

"It's a vocal modulator that adjusts my voice accordingly," Hitoshi responded, "Persona Chords," he said.

"So it has to be your real voice they respond to…" Tsuyu realized.

"Yeah," the Brainwashing Quirk user confirmed in reply, "Through the variation and resonance of plates in this mask," he continued, "the mask can change how I speak while still making my voice heard directly," he told the group.

"Oh yeah, I get it…" Denki said, putting his left hand onto his chin.

"It changes your tone, but it's still your voice…" Tsuyu noted.

"That's pretty amazing, Hitoshi!" Rebecca complimented.

"Yeah, you're pretty much unbeatable with that thing!" Eijiro concurred. Just then, the horn to signal the beginning of the match went off.

"Whoa, already?!" Denki exclaimed, "That was fast!" he pointed out.

"We might not have a plan, but let's go for it, guys!" Eijiro insisted, running off with the rest of the group to follow.

"Hey, Bluegarden," Hitoshi said, getting the Cat Leaper Quirk user's attention, "I'm surprised you've been so friendly with me," he admitted to her surprise as she blinked, "After the Sports Festival, I kinda figured Midoriya told you what happened…" he mentioned while glancing away.

"He did," Rebecca confirmed to his shock, "But I get why you did it," she pointed out, "It was a logical deception, right?" she presumed with a grin. The Brainwashing Quirk user was surprised, but grinned a little underneath his mask.

"Yeah… you're right," he responded.

"Let's do our best," the Cat Leaper Quirk user insisted, charging forward alongside her teammates.

END FLASHBACK

'So he copied my voice…' Laguna noted inwardly as he stood off against Denki and Hitoshi, 'He always told me he couldn't use his Quirk with something like a mic or a megaphone…' he mentioned to himself, 'Just what is that mask?' he wondered through his thoughts, narrowing his eyes.

"Got you now!" Hitoshi proclaimed as he grabbed his scarf, ready to throw it out.

"I don't think so!" Laguna yelled, making his markings glow brightly, "Tears Wave!" he shouted, unleashing a wave of water that engulfed the Brainwashing Quirk user, washing him away in an instant. At the same time, he also splashed Jurota, snapping him out of his stupor.

"Thanks, Husert…" he said gratefully.

"Just be on the lookout from now on," the Tears Lover Quirk user advised, "If Hitoshi gets either of us, then—" Before he could finish his sentence, he was suddenly knocked back by a pair of blue blasts.

"Husert!" Jurota yelled, growling as he looked over to see Rebecca on her feet with her blasters in her hands.

"Now Denki!" she cried out. With that, the Electrification Quirk user dashed forward, closing in. As he sat up, Laguna grimaced.

"Damn it!" he cursed, hurrying away. Jurota was quick to catch Denki in his left hand, but he smirked.

"Got a good enough grip, bro?" he inquired to his confusion. He then randomly released a discharge of electricity onto the Beast Quirk user, zapping him like a taser. Reflexively, he threw his opponent away, sending him crashing into a set of pipework nearby.

"Denki, you okay?!" Rebecca questioned worriedly.

"Ergh… yeah…" her classmate grunted out as he sat up, rubbing his hurting right shoulder, "Dang…" he uttered, noticing Jurota trying to withstand the discharge he was just dealt, "He almost fought through that jolt…" he pointed out. Rebecca ran over, charging toward Laguna.

"You wanna get washed away again?" he inquired of her. She steeled herself, holding down the triggers of her blasters as a blue light started emitting from their respective barrels. "Tears Arrow!" her foe exclaimed, adjusting his hands as his if he was holding onto a bow before unleashing several balls of water at high speed. The Cat Leaper Quirk user aimed her blasters forward.

"One Hundred Percent!" she yelled to her opponent's surprise, "Happy Blast!" she roared, unleashed a powerful burst of blue light from her weapons, eviscerating the water balls and forcing the Tears Lover Quirk user to run aside to evade them.

'So she's got a support item now…' he noted to himself.

"Regroup back at base, Shishida!" he called out, right before having to duck to narrowly avoid getting caught by Tsuyu's long tongue.

"Just missed him!" she croaked in frustration, seeing him slide under a wall and hurry away.

"It's okay!" Rebecca assured, "We've still got Jurota—!" She gasped as she turned to find that the Beast Quirk user was moving, charging toward Tsuyu.

"No way!" Denki exclaimed, "He shouldn't even be able to move!" he pointed out frantically.

"Tsu, get away!" Rebecca insisted, chasing after the Beast Quirk user, "Denki, help Hitoshi!" she advised on.

"R-Right!" the Electrification Quirk user stammered, getting to his feet. In spite of the pain in his shoulder, he went over to the Brainwashing Quirk user, helping to lift him up. "You good?" he inquired of him.

"Yeah…" he responded, though he sounded frustrated, "Where'd the others go?" he inquired on.

OPENING

Insert "Kizuna no Kiseki" by MAN WITH A MISSION X Milet

Starts with Class 1-A walking out onto Ground Gamma, dressed in their winter costumes. They discuss amongst themselves what they're hoping to work on for the end of the year, with Izuku leading the way alongside Rebecca. However, they stop as they spot their opponents of Class B, as some of them wave to the group. Neito cackles madly at the sight of them, only to end up chopped in the neck by Itsuka.

What follows is a shot of Laguna, who thinks back to being a part of Oasis with Goodwin and his other friends. He also sees a blurry figure with long, dark hair, only to witness her fade away as he reaches out to her. He opens his eyes, widening them to find Hitoshi there with his new scarf and support item.

We get to see the Shining Star Heroes with brand new costumes, who are gathered with Shota, Sekijiro, Nemuri, and All Might, as they're about to watch the training matches commence. In round one, Rebecca is grouped up with Eijiro, Denki, Tsuyu, and Hitoshi, leading the charge against their opponents as she draws her Happy Blasters and fires. Laguna and Hitoshi come face-to-face, with the former looking rather anxious compared to normal.

The second round features Weisz equipping his Arsenal Mark II armor, using it to defend himself from the onomatopoeias shot towards him by Manga. Meanwhile, Momo finds herself struggling against the likes of Itsuka, whereas Fumikage and Yuga can't seem to overcome the combination of Kinoko and Shihai. As the match continues, Izuku furiously writes down notes on Class B, while Rebecca looks at him and smiles.

In the third round, Homura clashes her energy blades against Kris' wind. The two of them stare each other down determinedly, rushing forward and enveloping themselves in bursts of red and green light respectively before colliding. The fourth round features Kleene using her wind to pull in the likes of Tenya, Mezo, and Mashirao, as the latter of the trio starts getting sucked in. However, he's saved by Shoto as he fires a blast of flames toward the Wind Snatch Quirk user. She dodges, letting off a little grin.

For the fifth round, we see Shiki and Katsuki standing back-to-back as they're surrounded by the multiple pieces of Setsuna's body. The former of the two assumes his Overdrive form, stamping the ground to make the pieces fall instantaneously, followed by the latter firing off a multitude of explosions. From afar, we see Kyoka and Hanta hanging back, glad that they're letting the muscle of their group handle their foes.

Finally, the sixth match features a team of Izuku, Ochaco, Koji, and Mina. The One For All inheritor shoots his girlfriend a reassuring thumbs-up as he enters the stage, making her giggle. However, her expression shifts into one of fear as she witnesses the mass of black energy tendrils that suddenly start rampaging about.

Meanwhile, we go through various scenes of Endeavor, Hawks, Mirko, the I.U.A. Heroes, and many others, including the League of Villains as both Tomura and Shura are standing in the shadows of All For One and Nero respectively. The song winds down, closing out with a picture of Class A gathered together for their joint training session.

END OPENING

Rebecca caught up with Jurota, having the wing-like markings at her legs glow brightly. He took notice too late as she slid through the openings of his arms and legs, tripping him up. He tumbled forward, crashing against more pipework.

"Rebecca!" Tsuyu cried out, seeing the Cat Leaper Quirk user get to her feet.

"I'm okay!" she assured. With a grunt, the Beast Quirk user emerged from the cloud of dust, towering over the two girls as they readied themselves.

'My Happy Blasters still need a few seconds before they're fully charged again…' she noted to herself, 'I can shoot off rapid-fire bursts, but I can also switch to charged shots, which are more powerful,' she explained inwardly, 'The only downside it that after a charged shot, it takes a minute or two for the blasters to automatically reload, meaning I can't fire anything off…' she mentioned through her thoughts thoroughly.

"Red…" a familiar voice started to bellow, getting the girls' attentions as they saw the hardened figure of Eijiro rush in, "GAUNTLET!" he exclaimed, using his right fist to block off Jurota, who winced.

"Eijiro!" Rebecca exclaimed.

"You guys good?" the Hardening Quirk user asked of his teammates.

"Yeah, we're managing…" Tsuyu responded, "Kaminari's making sure Shinso's okay," she pointed out.

"Alright, then let's take down this—!" Eijiro's proclamation was interrupted as Jurota suddenly picked him up off of the ground, hoisting him in his arms.

"Ergh…" he grunted out, "That was a good blow, Kirishima…" he complimented as his foe tried to wriggle himself free from his grip, "If we left you standing, you'd likely be even more of a problem for us…" he pointed out, rearing his arms back as he turned to his left, "So…" he continued as both Rebecca and Tsuyu blinked in confusion, "I'll send you away!" he decided, flinging a now-yelling Eijiro off into the distance.

'HE JUST CHUCKED HIM?!' the Cat Leaper Quirk user exclaimed inwardly.

"Wait… maybe she's in that direction!" Tsuyu suggested, causing her to gasp in surprise. As it turned out, Ibara was lying in wait, having her vines spread out in search of her foes. She overheard Eijiro's yell, looking him to see him coming toward her.

"A lost sheep's come plummeting from the sky…" she commented gracefully. Another scream erupted from the Hardening Quirk user, causing Rebecca to grimace.

"We're not letting you get away!" she proclaimed to Jurota, firing off small bursts from the Happy Blaster in her right hand, only for him to leap away. Tsuyu tried to lash him with her tongue, while at the same time, Denki was closing in, firing off discs from his shooter.

"Nice try!" the Beast Quirk user yelled, jumping away from the attacks. He knew that he couldn't fight three people at once, especially since they knew he was coming. So he retreated.

"Shoot…" Rebecca muttered, "Denki, is Hitoshi alright?" she inquired of the Electrification Quirk user, who rolled his hurting right shoulder.

"Yeah, I'm good," the Brainwashing Quirk user's voice answered, getting her attention as she saw him approach, "Sorry," he apologized, "I was too slow back there," he pointed out.

"No, we all got caught off guard," Rebecca affirmed in reply, "And even though we managed to recover, we still couldn't get the advantage in our favor…" she mentioned.

"Being down Kirishima's not great…" Tsuyu added.

"Man, that guy's Beast Quirk is so cool!" Shiki exclaimed from back in the viewing section, "He's able to take a punch from Eijiro and toss him so far!" he mentioned with a laugh, "Boy, Class B's really gotten a lot better!" he complimented.

"Indeed they have!" Sekijiro agreed over the microphone, "With Class A down one man, things aren't looking so good for them in this first match!" he pointed out emphatically, "It just goes to show how superior my students of Class B really are!" he proclaimed on.

"Yeah, keep speakin' the truth!" Neito insisted.

"Stop the biased commentary!" Mina and Kyoka yelled, holding up picket signs in protest.

"It's going to be tough for them to get any leverage in terms of strength with Kirishima caught," Momo commented.

"Strategy may be the key for this battle," Fumikage added, "They'll need to come up with something to overcome their foes' Quirks…" he pointed out.

"What should we do, guys?" Denki inquired of his teammates.

"We spent too much time wondering about Shinso's Quirk instead of planning," Tsuyu noted, "They took us completely by surprise, and it could've been a lot worse," she mentioned thoroughly.

"Yeah, but it isn't over yet," Rebecca affirmed, holstering her blasters, "Hitoshi, your Quirk can still be useful here," she assured, "We just have to use it in a way that it won't be exploited by the enemy," she told him.

"What do you mean?" he inquired. The Cat Leaper Quirk user took a moment to think before blinking in realization.

"The way you should fight is to strike from the shadows and play those mind games," she explained to the Brainwashing Quirk user.

"Oh yeah, like Wanda!" Denki remembered.

"Wanda?" Hitoshi repeated in confusion.

"It's from a movie we saw," Tsuyu told him, "So I guess the idea is to have Shinso use his Quirk from somewhere he can be hidden," she presumed, "And once the target's brainwashed…" she continued.

"We separate them from the rest of the team!" Denki concluded, "Nice thinking, Rebecca!" he complimented with a thumbs up.

"When you've got a boyfriend who's always thinking about how useful some Quirks can be, that tends to rub off on you…" the Cat Leaper Quirk user pointed out.

"Ribbit!" Tsuyu croaked in agreement.

"Thanks for saving me back there, man," Denki said gratefully to Hitoshi, who blinked in surprise, "I know you said you weren't here to make friends," he continued, "but I like you, Shinso," he admitted, "You're totally gonna be a future pro," he affirmed, causing the Brainwashing Quirk user to sheepishly rub the back of his head.

"Whatever…" he muttered out, "So anyway, I get the plan…" he assured to his comrades, "But how are we gonna make it work?" he inquired of them, "Shishida's got incredible senses, and we don't know where they are," he pointed out.

"Hmm…" Rebecca hummed in though, putting her right hand onto her chin.

"I have an idea," Tsuyu confirmed, getting the group's attention. She pulled down her right sleeve, revealing a mucus she was secreting from her skin. "Kaminari, look for your pointers," she advised of the Electrification Quirk user.

"Uh… okay…" he responded unsurely. In the meantime…

"You used me as a decoy for an ambush?" Ibara inquired of her teammates back near their basecamp, "Oh, what a simple act of deception…" she said, holding her hands together in prayer, "I fear I must whip you now," she concluded.

"Wait, what?!" Jurota exclaimed in question.

"Knock it off," Laguna insisted, getting their attentions, "We might've gotten Kirishima, but we're still not in the clear just yet," he pointed out seriously.

"Well, it's good we know about that voice changer thing Shinso has," Hiryu commented, "We'll have to be sure not to fall for it," he mentioned on.

"If we nab Shinso, Bluegarden, and Asui while avoiding Kaminari, there's no way we'll lose," Jurota proclaimed.

"Yeah, that sounds about right," Hiryu agreed, "Still, Husert's right about us not being in the clear just yet," he noted on, "As long as Shinso's still on the field, he's a threat," he affirmed.

"All of them are," the Tears Lover Quirk user said. Just then, Jurota sniffed the air as he caught wind of a scent.

"Ergh… trickery…" he growled out.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Laguna asked.

"I know it's gonna sound strange, and I'm not sure what it means…" the Beast Quirk user started to reply, "but there are four Asuis heading our way!" he confirmed.

"They're fooling your sense of smell…" Laguna realized, "Not bad on their part…" he admitted as he adjusted his neck with a crick.

"If that's the case, I must chastise them…" Ibara concluded as her vines started to grow off from her head, "Devious schemes… are hallmarks of defilement!" she declared.

"Yeah, sure," Laguna concurred, readying himself as well.

X

"What's Shishida saying?" Sen wondered aloud from the viewing section, "Asui can't multiply like Mister Ectoplasm…" he pointed out.

"Hey, Midoriya…" Minoru whispered, getting the One For All inheritor's attention, "You think the plan's gotta do with that?" he inquired.

"Yeah, definitely," the freckled teen responded. He remembered when he, Minoru, Tsuyu and Rebecca were trapped on the boat in the Shipwreck Zone at the U.S.J., the Frog Quirk user had told her classmates about her Quirk in terms of its uses. One of her capabilities was secreting a mucus from her skin that only stung a little. That mucus was coated over her teammates as they ran ahead to find their foes, with their scents masked to confuse Jurota.

Another thing was Denki's pointers. One of them had managed to latch onto the Beast Quirk user's pocket during the earlier confrontation. With it, the team could pinpoint where he was, thus leading them in the direction they needed to go.

"Good thinking on your part, Tsu!" Rebecca complimented, "With our scents covered, Jurota's not gonna be able to tell who's who," she pointed out.

"And it looks like he's just hanging out wherever he is!" Denki added.

"Which means his teammates aren't too far behind either," Hitoshi presumed.

"I know we're all a bit banged up, but let's try to pull this off!" Rebecca insisted as leapt over some pipework. However, she took notice of something ahead of the group, being the clusters of green, thorny vines heading their way. "Crap, it's Ibara's Quirk!" she realized, coming to a stop with the others.

"Guess she laid out her vines after Shishida couldn't tell us apart," Tsuyu presumed.

"And he could still tell we were coming…" Hitoshi mentioned.

"But they don't know which one of us is…" Denki chimed in to the group's surprise, stepping forward.

"Kaminari?" Tsuyu said.

"What are you doing?" Rebecca inquired on.

"What if I'm the only one of us who gets captured?" Denki questioned back to their surprise, "If they think I'm the big bad out here, I'm the last person they'll wanna draw close," he pointed out, "If I go wild and be the focus of her attack, she'll have to use a ton of vines to stop me, right?" he presumed further.

"Uh, yeah, but…" Rebecca tried to say.

"Don't worry," the Electrification Quirk user assured, "I got complete faith in you guys!" he affirmed confidently, "Denki out!" he exclaimed as he stepped onto the vines, followed by screaming as they dragged him away. His teammates looked at each other in bewilderment, but then gave off serious expressions.

"If he's the bait, we can split ourselves up and pick them off," Tsuyu noted.

"Right," Rebecca agreed, grabbing her blasters, "Let's go, everyone!" she called out.

"You got someone?" Laguna inquired of Ibara as her vines were retracting.

"Yes, I'm bringing them in now," she confirmed in reply.

"Careful!" Hiryu exclaimed, "We don't know who it is!" he pointed out, "If it's Kaminari then—!"

"Ding-ding-ding!" the Electrification Quirk user's voice rang as he appeared, ensnared in Ibara's vines, "Sucks to be you!" he remarked, "And I'll gladly go ahead and zap you all as one happy family!" he declared, readying his pointer fingers as electricity crackled around them. However, the Vines Quirk user readied a large mass of her foliage around him.

"Faith's Shield!" she exclaimed, having created a wall of vines to defend herself.

"They got us for sure…" Laguna noted, narrowing his eyes, "I'm going to find Hitoshi!" he declared, running off.

"H-Hey, Laguna!" Hiryu yelled with a stutter, grimacing a little, "Crap…" he grumbled. Meanwhile, Denki grinned. With his pointer locked onto Jurota, even if Ibara was able to capture him, he could still unleash another powerful shock onto him. However, as the lightning bolt curved to the disc-like object, Hiryu shot it off thanks to the scales he released from his body.

"Aw, man!" Denki groaned out of frustration.

"Phew, that was close…" Hiryu remarked.

"Shiozaki, hurry up and get ready for the next attack!" his voice suddenly echoed, though not from him.

"Right," she responded, lowering the mass of vines entrapping Denki, "I'll just be a mo—" She suddenly froze up, having just been brainwashed.

"No, that wasn't me!" Hiryu exclaimed, "Shinso's nearby!" he realized in frustration, "But where'd the voice come from…?" he wondered aloud.

'We can only hope Laguna could hear it better than us…' he noted inwardly.

"Okay, I'll wake Shiozaki up!" he decided, aiming his right arm out at the Vines Quirk user. But all of a sudden, she was whisked away by Tsuyu, who wrapped her up with her tongue. "Ah, shoot!" Hiryu yelled, followed by suddenly getting himself tripped onto his stomach, "Agh…" he groaned.

"You didn't see that coming?" Rebecca's voice remarked, making him perk up to see her there.

"Bluegarden?!" he exclaimed, firing off more of his scales towards her. She zipped away from them, only to see Jurota hurrying off. She held the triggers of her Happy Blasters tightly as she dashed in front of him.

'Eighty-Percent Charge…' she began inwardly as the Beast Quirk user gasped.

"HAPPY BLAST!" she exclaimed, striking him with a powerful burst of blue light.

"Shishida!" Hiryu cried out. He growled, attempting to fire onto Rebecca, only to suddenly get ambushed by a flying kick from Tsuyu, who had camouflaged herself beforehand.

"Agh…!" Jurota groaned, shaking his head, "You think that'll stop me, Bluegarden?!" he roared in question to the Cat Leaper Quirk user, slamming her down onto the ground with his right fist, "I'm just getting started! Hahaha!" he laughed out.

"Ergh…" his foe growled, letting off a grin, "Yeah, so am I!" she proclaimed to his surprise. The markings at her legs shined brightly before she found herself standing in the position she was just a few moments ago. And Jurota was looming just in front of her.

"You think that'll stop me, Bluegarden?!" he roared in question, about to slam his fist onto her.

'When it comes down it, I need to only use something like my Overdrive when the situation calls for it!' she noted inwardly as a blue light enveloped her body, 'So when dealing with someone as powerful as Jurota…' she continued through her thoughts, assuming her Overdrive form as she swung her right leg up, kicking his arm away and making him gasp in shock, 'I know exactly what to do!' she declared to herself.

"Aoneko… RUSH!" she roared, kicking the Beast Quirk rapidly in the stomach, knocking him back. He grimaced, shocked by how strong she suddenly became. Meanwhile, Laguna was wandering about the pipework in search of Hitoshi, looking around.

'From the sound of things back there, we're in a bind…' he noted to himself, 'But if I can get Hitoshi…' he continued inwardly.

"Husert, help!" Hiryu's voice cried out, getting his attention. It echoed around the training ground, though it sounded close. The Tears Lover Quirk user huffed.

'Like I actually care about my classmates…' he muttered inwardly, 'I'm not like Jinn or Sylph,' he mentioned to himself, 'They're just the people I'll be fighting with when we get to face Nero,' he affirmed through his thoughts.

"They're too fast!" Jurota's voice yelled.

"We need your help, please!" Hiryu's voice screamed desperately. Laguna growled, making the markings at his eye shine brightly.

"Tears Geyser!" he roared, slamming his hands against the ground. Water began swelling underneath him, spreading into the pipework and unleashing a powerful blast. The Tears Lover Quirk user heard a yelp, enticing him to hurry into the array of pipes. He spotted a figure dripping with water, seeing that it was Hitoshi. "You're finished!" he proclaimed, drawing forth a sword made up of water. The Brainwashing Quirk user was quick to act though, throwing out his binding cloth to wrap around one of the pipes above him. He yanked it down as hard as he could, causing it to fall apart onto his foe, who narrowly dove out of the way.

"Good as ever, aren't you, Laguna?" he commented in Hiryu's voice. The Tears Lower Quirk user growled.

'I'm not going to get fooled by you!' he declared inwardly, rushing toward him. He turned to run away, trying to swing along the pipework with the binding cloth.

"Asui and Bluegarden probably took care of your teammates by now!" Hitoshi noted in Jurota's voice.

'So what?' Laguna muttered through his thoughts, readying his hands as water swirled around them, 'Their performances don't matter to me!' he yelled to himself, throwing bursts of water that struck the Brainwashing Quirk user, knocking him down onto the ground, while his mask fell off.

"Agh…" he groaned out.

"Hmph," the Tears Lover Quirk user scoffed, "I played my part with Drakken Joe, but I never held ill will towards you," he admitted, "I thought you were different from those guys on the hero track," he pointed out, "It makes me almost sick to think that you still want to be one of them…" he added aloud, "You're a fool, Hitoshi…" he finished, while the Brainwashing Quirk user tried to push himself up.

"Yeah… I guess I am a fool…" he confessed as he turned his head slightly, "I mean…" he kept going as he teared up, "I'm the idiot who fell in love with you…" he said. Laguna's eyes widened. Flashes of his memories as a part of Hitoshi's class went through his head. Though they were mundane, he remembered smiling with him on several different occasions. And it was genuine.

"Wh…What did you just—?" The Tears Lover Quirk user froze instantaneously. His mind was completely blank as he wound up brainwashed. Standing up, Hitoshi reclaimed his voice changer, setting it back on and wiping his eyes.

'Sorry, Laguna…' he apologized, 'I wish I told you before everything that happened…' he admitted inwardly. Back by the base camp, Hiryu was slammed up against a column by Tsuyu's tongue, losing consciousness as he slumped down.

"You almost done there, Rebecca?!" she called out in question to the Cat Leaper Quirk user.

"Yeah, just one more second!" she responded, speeding away from a charging Jurota. She looked at her Happy Blasters, seeing them both glow a bright blue. She held down their triggers tightly, leaping into the air as she reverted back to normal from her Overdrive.

'When it comes to the Charge Shots for the blasters, they go up in power based on how long I hold the triggers,' she noted to herself, 'A second for twenty, two for forty, three for sixty…' she listed off through her thoughts.

"I've got you now!" Jurota declared, leaping up to try and grab her.

"Rebecca!" Tsuyu cried out.

"Two-Hundred Percent Charge!" the Cat Leaper Quirk user exclaimed as she aimed her blasters down at her incoming foe, "HAPPY BLAST!" she roared, unleashing a pair of powerful bursts onto the Beast Quirk user. He cried out in agony before crashing into the ground in a smoky heap. When it cleared, it revealed him lying in a daze, while Rebecca landed, blowing out the smoke emitting from her blasters. "That'll sting a little…" she admitted, "but you'll be just fine!" she assured with a wink.

"That was amazing, Rebecca!" Tsuyu complimented as she hopped over.

"I'm glad I tested just how strong I'd need my charged shots to be to take him down," the Cat Leaper Quirk user noted as she looked at her weapons, "With how fast he was, I thought I'd have to rely on Overdrive again…" she mentioned in admittance.

"But by getting him in the air, you lured him into a trap," the Frog Quirk user pointed out, earning a nod of confirmation from her teammate.

"You got Ibara in a cell, right?" she inquired, holstering her blasters, "Before we go help Hitoshi, we should make sure these two are—"

"Don't worry," the Brainwashing Quirk user's voice chimed in, getting their attentions as they saw approaching with Laguna, "I've got him," he affirmed, gesturing to the mind-controlled Tears Lover Quirk user.

"No way, he brainwashed him!" Minoru exclaimed from the viewing section.

"But how?" Mashirao wondered aloud, "I would've thought Husert would by the wariest of Shinso's Quirk…" he pointed out in admittance.

"He was probably provoked by something," Homura commented, "What a troublesome power indeed," she mentioned with narrowed eyes.

"Yeah," Shoto agreed. Closing his notebook, Izuku smiled. His girlfriend had shown an impressive amount of growth during the bout, and Hitoshi was showing just how much of a force he was to be reckoned with. As the Class B team was imprisoned, Laguna snapped out of his stupor. He looked out to see Rebecca, Tsuyu and Denki gathered with the Brainwashing Quirk user, who merely spared him a glance. Grimacing, he turned away.

"How'd you get Laguna to fall for your brainwashing, anyway?" the Electrification Quirk user wondered curiously. Hitoshi pulled his mask down, rubbing the back of his head.

"I just… came up with a logical ruse…" he replied. Rebecca blinked, noticing what looked like tear stains under his eyes.

"Grrr…" Sekijiro's voice growled through the loudspeakers, "Despite their failures…" he began in frustration, "the Class A team plus Shinso are the winners!" he announced.

ENDING

Opens with Izuku receiving a notification on his phone. He picks it up and looks at it while seated on his bed, while Rebecca sits up beside him and yawns. He smiles, showing her what he just read. She beams after a moment, nodding to him.

The two of them head downstairs together, seeing groups of their classmates heading out together for the day. They smile at each other, holding hands as they leave the dorm. We see Shiki walking on a sidewalk with Momo, calling for her to hurry after him as he hurries off towards a set of stores. Meanwhile, Tsuyu and Ochaco meet up with Kleene and Kris at a supermarket, talking happily with them. Fumikage's checking apples with Dark Shadow, only to see Laguna doing the same.

Elsewhere in the store, we see Katsuki checking some bottles of hot sauce, while Weisz and Minoru are browsing some adult magazines. Homura's eyes sparkle at the sight the Valkyrie-brand energy drinks, which she buys a lot of to the shock of Kyoka, Mina, and Toru. Izuku and Rebecca arrive, having a shopping list on hand. They nod to each other, splitting up with their classmates to gather what they need.

Izuku grabs packets of noodles and rice, while Rebecca gets pork, bok choy, panko bread crumbs, and other ingredients. She's joined by Rikido, who advises her on what specifically she should look for.
