When things get good for this story, they get even better. We're back with more of "Through the Rough" as we've reached the climax of the Shie Hassaikai Arc. Not only has Overhaul taken on the monstrous appearance of three men fused together, but God Acnoella's also arrived, aiming to eliminate his plans thoroughly. It's essentially a free-for-all with Eri in the middle.

So now it comes down to this. One of the best moments of My Hero Academia in my eyes, along with amazing scenes. And you know that I'm gonna try and amplify it to a hundred.

Sit back and enjoy, folks! This is the climactic battle to the Shie Hassaikai Arc for "Through the Rough"!

THROUGH THE ROUGH

"Agh…" Shota groaned out as he sat up, rubbing the back of his head, "What happened…?" he muttered in question.

'I must've gotten myself knocked out for a bit…' he concluded, standing up on his feet, only to stagger a little, 'Chisaki probably sent me down here to keep me away from the fight…' he added through his thoughts, looking around. He then blinked in surprise upon spotting something.

"What the hell…?" he uttered out, removing his goggles and putting them onto his forehead. A light gasp left his lips.

ONE MINUTE EARLIER

Bursting out of the melted ground, Acnoella charged toward Eraser, who grimaced as his eyes widened. Knowing how much of a threat his Quirk posed, it was only natural for the Oracion Seis member to go after him first. However, her attempted attack was thwarted by Holy, who landed a left hook to her face to knock her back.

"Ichiro, stay back for now!" she insisted.

"Hm," the Dragonization Quirk user huffed, retaliating with a left cross to her female foe's stomach, "Aren't using bare fists in battle unbecoming of a lady such as yourself?" she inquired, "Or have you abandoned those moralities because of you desire to stop me?" she wondered on. Gritting her teeth, the Light Quirk user thrusted her right hand out, unleashing a beam of golden light that narrowly seared past her foe's head, as she tilted it aside in the nick of time.

"You made the mistake of making that big hole in the ceiling…" she pointed out to Acnoella's surprise as she blinked, "Now that the sunlight shines through…" she continued as her hair glowed a bright gold, "you're no match for me!" she proclaimed, firing off a flurry of light bursts that exploded, blowing her opponent off of her. She landed and slid to a stop, chuckling a little.

"So it would seem…" she concluded, "Well then…" she began, raising her right hand up to the dual-type Quirk user's confusion, "METALICANA!" she bellowed commandingly. Holy widened her eyes.

'That must be the name of the dragon up top with Ryukyu and the others!' she realized with a grimace, 'Even when Ichiro manages to recharge, he'll have to erase them both at once!' she noted on through her thoughts. At that moment, a rumbling caught her attention along with those of the others. The ceiling gave way, with Ryukyu coming down alongside Feather, Nejire, Ochaco, Tsuyu, and Rikiya. Acnoella's eyes widened a little at the sight of the Dragoon Hero, who took notice of her and glared.

"Well…" the Oracion Seis member uttered as she grinned, "this certainly became interesting…" she admitted aloud.

END OPENING

As if dealing with Metalicana wasn't bad enough, Rikiya had managed to reawaken in the midst of the women's fight with the dragon. His drug had kicked in, allowing him to steal their vitality just by inhaling. However, Feather took advantage of his increased strength, having him wrestle against the iron creature.

Unfortunately, that didn't help much as both of them got the others caught up in the scrum. Eventually, they all tumbled down into the hole in the intersection, as it collapsed more beneath them. Watching from afar within an alleyway were Fie, Himiko, and Twice.

"Dang…" the Transform Quirk user uttered out in surprise.

"Ergh…" the sniper of the trio growled, "We should get in there an' light that masked bastard up!" he insisted angrily in a whisper.

"Now, now, don't be so hasty…" Twice insisted in a serious tone, "I wanna kill him, too!" he proclaimed with a carefree voice.

"Hmm…" Himiko hummed out, "I get the feeling we should go…" she admitted quietly, looking over to see Kleene and some of the other heroes escorting the exhausted police officers to safety. Back inside the completely wrecked area under the intersection, Ryukyu pinned down Metalicana.

"Nejire, what about the other one?!" she called out in question. The Surge Quirk user was floating over the downed Rikiya as his body shrank a little.

"I think he's out for the count!" she responded.

"Ryukyu and the others…!" Rebecca gasped out.

"Deku! Rebecca!" Ochaco exclaimed, spotting her classmates.

"And Kleene's brother!" Tsuyu croaked upon seeing the bleeding Kris lying beside the couple.

"What happened here…?" the Zero Gravity Quirk user wondered aloud. Metalicana tried to lift its head, only for Ryukyu to angrily pin it down by stomping fiercely onto it with her right hand.

"Dragoon Hero, Ryukyu," Acnoella's voice chimed in, getting her attention as she looked up and spotted the Oracion Seis member, "How fitting that you've come here today," she pointed out, "Perhaps this may finally be the time that I tame you…" she proclaimed, readying her hands. The Dragoon Hero growled angrily.

"Ryukyu?" Nejire uttered upon noticing. The others were just as surprised. They had never seen her look so angry. At that moment, a barrage of mini-missiles rained down onto Acnoella, who flipped back to evade them as they struck the ground.

"Feather?!" Holy exclaimed upon spotting her fellow I.U.A. Hero up above descending as her metal wings folded in.

"We need to apprehend Acnoella!" she insisted firmly.

"Wait, what about Chisaki?!" Eraser questioned.

"I think you have more important things to worry about, heroes!" the Dragonization Quirk user proclaimed as she lunged out at the trio. However, she suddenly found herself ensnared by the jaws of Ryukyu, who slammed her up against the wall.

"This time… I'm not letting you go!" she declared firmly.

"Ryukyu…" Ochaco uttered from afar as she and Tsuyu landed.

"Uravity, look!" the Frog Quirk user exclaimed, getting her attention as she looked over in horror to see the wounded Nighteye.

"Oh no…!" she gasped out.

"Take care of him!" Izuku requested as he hurried over to where Eri was, "Go!" he yelled. Unfortunately, he was too slow to reach the little girl as a pillar shot up beneath her, propelling her up into the air, while also knocking Pino back. He looked over and growled to see Kai with his six combined arms placed against the floor, having reformed it to his liking. "CHISAKIIII!" the One For All inheritor yelled, watching as the Shie Hassaikai leader created a pillar beneath his own body, carrying himself up to the surface.

"You filthy heroes screwed everything up!" he yelled angrily, catching Eri and holding her under his right arms as the pillar carried them towards the surface.

"She's coming with us!" Izuku proclaimed, leaping after Kai as the green sparks of bio-electricity crackled around his body.

"Izu!" Rebecca cried out, while Tsuyu hopped over to help her tend to the wounded Jinn. The One For All inheritor was still determined to save Eri. In spite of everything, he reached out to her. Even when she refused to be saved, he saw her crying. He saw Pino begging for her not to go back.

'This time… I'll save her for good!' he vowed inwardly.

"Stubborn fool…" Overhaul muttered as he could see the freckled teen coming toward him. He then noticed something else that had gotten blown up amidst all the commotion down below. It was Mirio's cape. "That piece of trash got here, too?" he inquired upon spotting it, "Disgusting…" he grumbled out. Eri took notice of it.

'His cape…' she uttered inwardly, remembering everything that the now Quirkless teen had done to try and save her. She recalled the efforts of Takashi and Komi as well. Everyone was fighting for her sake. And though she didn't want them to be hurt… was it really better for her to just go back? Especially now?

Without thinking, she grabbed the cape as it came near her. And at that moment, her horn shined brightly with a golden energy. Before Kai could think to do anything, both Shin and Hari unfused from his body, as if they were never together at all.

'No…!' the Shie Hassaikai leader exclaimed inwardly, 'Why now…?!' he questioned aloud. Meanwhile, Eri blinked in realization. None of the people fighting were going to give up on her. Even if it was risk to their lives, they wouldn't rest until they made sure she was safe. She remembered Pino pleas to her, standing up. For once, she had to go. She leapt, holding onto the cape that cradled her.

X

"Eri!" Izuku cried out as evaded and kicked away the debris and falling Hassaikai members, who both hit the ground hard, losing consciousness. He continued, jumping from platform to platform to reach her. "ERI!" he screamed. This time, he wasn't going to let her go. And she leapt into his arms, allowing him to hold her close. "I swear… I'll never let you go again," he promised, gently placing his gloved hand onto the back of her head.

"Izu, watch out!" Rebecca screamed, getting his attention. His eyes widened as he saw Kai palm the pillar he was riding upon, preparing to reassemble it.

"GIVE HER BACK!" he roared, shooting out new arrays of spikes toward the falling freckled teen.

"Deku!" Holy cried out from afar upon noticing. As much as she wanted to go and help him, she and her fellow I.U.A. Heroes were too occupied in dealing with both Metalicana and Grandeeney, while Ryukyu was battling Acnoella alongside Tamaki. Izuku was barely managing to evade the spikes sent his way. He couldn't dodge well in midair, and more were coming. But that wasn't going to stop him. It was a hero's job to save people, and in doing so, he had to win.

"HRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" he roared out as he leapt and spun to shatter a few of the spikes with his kicks. And as more came his way, he suddenly vanished.

"Wha—?" That was all Rebecca could utter before she and the others were hit with the fierce force of pressurized air. More of the ceiling caved in from the force of the sudden blast of wind, as everyone braced themselves. Izuku himself wound up high in the air with Eri still in his arms.

"…Huh?" he uttered in shock, not sure as to what just happened himself as he looked out at the horizon. The sparks of yellow energy flickered off from Eri's horn.

"Agh…" Holy groaned as she sat up from the broken floor from back in the base, "Is everyone alright?!" she called out in question.

"All good here…" Eraser replied, getting to his feet. Feather also stood up, though winced as sparks of electricity emitted from her metal wings.

"My pack's out…" she told her colleagues.

"That's alright," the dual-type Quirk user assured, getting up onto her feet as she looked around. It appeared both Grandeeney and Metalicana were bested, lying unmoving upon the ground. Tsuyu and Rebecca were still with Jinn, while Ochaco was with Sister, who was tending to Nighteye. He had glanced up during the commotion, having witnessed Izuku's daring rescue.

"Wait, where's Ryukyu?" Eraser asked, causing Holy to perk up in realization. At that moment, she saw the Dragoon Hero fly out from the dust, reassuming her human form as she landed upon the ground.

"Ryuko!" the dual-type Quirk user exclaimed, going over to her side as she breathed heavily with exhaustion, "Are you alright?" she inquired in concern.

"Hmm… what a pity…" Acnoella's voice echoed from the remainder of the dust cloud, "Seems you were already weakened from your prior battles," she noted aloud, "The same can be said for this boy here…" she added, holding Tamaki up by his neck in her right hand.

"Suneater!" Holy screamed.

"You monster…!" Ryukyu growled out, "Let him go right now, Ryuga!" she shouted in demand. The I.U.A. Heroes, save for Feather, blinked in surprise.

"Hm," the Oracion Seis member huffed, "Now is that any way to talk to your older sister?" she inquired back.

"What?!" Eraser exclaimed out of shock.

"Acnoella… is your sister?!" Holy questioned of Ryukyu, who gritted her teeth angrily.

"What… just happened?" Tsuyu wondered, looking up toward the widening hole in the ceiling.

"I'm not sure…" Rebecca admitted in reply. It wasn't a total lie. She assumed Izuku managed to propel himself away with a full-powered attack like All Might, but she wasn't sure.

'Wait… that would mean he probably broke something!' she realized, quickly grabbing her pulse pistol and getting ready to head off.

"Bluegarden…" Nighteye's voice uttered weakly, causing her to look over to the still injured Foresight Quirk user.

"Hey, try not to move…" Ivry insisted as she stood up, hurrying over to the downed Kris. Rebecca was still in disbelief over all that she and the others had suffered throughout this conflict. She then took notice of Kai, who was stumbling about as blood dripped down his head. He reassembled his right arm.

"I never told her what her power is…" he grumbled, "Much less how to use it…" he added as he stumbled toward the downed Rikiya, "Eri… naughty girl…" he muttered on, "You belong to me…!" he growled out.

"Stop right there!" Nejire exclaimed from above, readying her hands as she aimed them towards him. However, her attention was drawn away when she heard Grandeeney screech, unleashing a blast of air that blew back Ryukyu, Tamaki, and the I.U.A. Heroes. It distracted her long enough for the Shie Hassaikai leader to reach his subordinate, placing his hands upon his body.

"In order to fufill Pops' wish…" he continued as he instantaneously blew apart Rikiya, "I need your power, Eri…" he noted, destroying himself before fusing together with his subordinate.

"Hey, stop it!" Nejire yelled. All of a sudden, a large hand reached up and swatted her aside.

"Nejire-Chan!" Tsuyu cried out. Luckily, the Surge Quirk user was able to catch herself with her twisting energy waves before she reached the ground. She and the others looked on in horror to see what their foe had become. He fused into a monstrous stone structure, protruding multiple appendages each equipped with clawed hands. His upper body was the same but lied within the mouth of the structure, and its upper jaw had Rikiya's mask.

"You gotta be kidding me…!" Rebecca growled in frustration.

"We have to stop him!" Ochaco insisted.

"Don't worry…" Nighteye said, getting the girls' attentions, "He won't be going after any of you…" he assured, "He'll be heading up to the surface…" he continued, "where he'll take Eri back… and kill Midoriya…" he confirmed. Rebecca's eyes widened with horror.

"No…" Ochaco uttered out, pivoting around, "We can't let that—!" As she took a step, she suddenly toppled over onto her stomach.

"Uravity!" Tsuyu cried out.

"Damn…" Ivry cursed, "I'd go up there if I could, but I can't leave you bozos dying here…" she pointed out, "Though honestly, I doubt I'd be of much help…" she admitted.

"Bluegarden…" Nighteye uttered, trying to get the Cat Leaper Quirk user's attention, "I'm sorry…" he apologized, "But that future… can't be changed…" he affirmed sadly. Rebecca tuned out everything around her. She thought back to the moment she lost her boyfriend in the last universe before she jumped over to another where he didn't die.

In the time after, she found herself lost. Even with friends and family supporting her, she couldn't bear the thought of being completely without Izuku in her life. If he was gone… would she be able to reverse it again?

"Rebecca…" Tsuyu uttered worriedly. The Cat Leaper Quirk user dropped her pulse pistol onto the ground. She clenched her fists.

"I've seen my boyfriend die a lot of times, Nighteye…" she pointed out to the Foresight Quirk user's surprise, along with those of the others, "and I didn't know if I'd ever get him back…!" she admitted, trembling in frustration, "But this time…" she continued as her markings at her ankles glowed brightly, expanding along her body, "I WON'T LET HIM DIE!" she declared. Elsewhere at the abandoned forest church, Nox perked up and turned.

"Rebecca?" she uttered in surprise. Meanwhile, a barefooted Xiaomei came to a stop in the middle of a public park, turning around curiously.

"Hm," she hummed out, grinning a little, "Seems the cat's found her claws…" she remarked with a giggle. Back in the open room, Nighteye widened his eyes as did everyone else watching. The Cat Leaper quirk user's appearance changed almost entirely. Her outfit became a blue leotard with detached sleeves, a dark trim and no footwear. Her hair turned white with a tint of a light blue color, she gained a pair of cat ears on her head, and obtained a cat tail with a ring that sported energy lines that were shaped like a heart above. She also had light blue markings across her legs and upper arms, and a pair resembling cat whiskers across her face. Opening her eyes, they burned a bright blue as bio-electricity crackled around her body.

"R-Rebecca…?" Tsuyu stuttered out.

"An Overdrive user…?" Acnoella questioned upon noticing, "And one so young…" she added aloud, narrowing her eyes. Nighteye was astonished. It wasn't just Rebecca's transformed appearance that shocked him, but the familiar sense of power and confidence he felt coming from her. In fact, it was similar to someone else…

Back on the streets above, Izuku had landed. He was still trying to process everything. His body felt like it was on fire one moment and then cold the next. And even though he used the full extent of his power without regard for himself, his bones were intact. His other injuries had also disappeared. He put Eri down, crouching to her eye level.

"Is this… your Quirk?" he inquired of her, "Are you… a healer?" he presumed on. The horned girl looked as if she was about to tear up.

"Is…" she started to say, causing the freckled teen to perk up, "Is Pino… going to be okay?" she asked.

"Pino?" Izuku repeated in confusion.

"My friend…" Eri said, "She looks like a bunny…" she mentioned.

'Oh, she must be talking about that little robot that was with her…' the One For All inheritor realized.

"Yeah, she'll be okay," he promised, reaching out to her. However, she flinched and turned away to his surprise, "Hey, I'm not hurt…" he assured, "Everything's just— URK!" he yelped, clutching his stomach. He felt like his whole body was about to come apart.

"So she doesn't know how to stop it…" a familiar voice noted, causing Eri to gasp. The whole street started coming apart, with spikes forming as they trailed towards her and Izuku. Reacting quickly, the One For All inheritor picked her up and leapt aside with her before they could get skewered. They looked over to see Overhaul in his monstrous, fused form. "Eri has the power to rewind people. That's her secret…" he explained, "Use her right, and she could probably turn a man back into a monkey," he mentioned on, "As long as that power's active, you won't be able to carry her like that unless you want to be rewound into nothing!" he proclaimed fiercely. Even hearing that, the freckled teen didn't hesitate to have the horned girl climb aboard his back, fastening Mirio's cape tightly around them both.

"Okay, Eri… hold on…" he advised of her softly. He realized that because of her rewinding, his injuries that would've been life-threatening had been healed. But as long as her power was active, he would need to make sure to keep breaking himself in order to not be rewound into nothing like the Shie Hassaikai leader had said. "It seems to me your Quirk is a blessing, Eri," he affirmed, causing the little girl to tear up as she held onto him.

Understanding her power's effects and how fast it worked, he had a plan. And it was even more of a blessing, because he now had the opportunity to go all out. The bio-electricity crackling around his body brightened. His gloves and most of his costume's sleeves tore off from the force of the energy coursing through him. His pupils and irises distorted as his hair spiked up, glowing with a brighter shade of green than normal, while his skin gained a reddish hue. A yellow energy emitted from his eyes as he took on a ready stance.

'One For All: Full Cowling…' he began inwardly, 'One Hundred Percent!' he exclaimed through his thoughts.

"Eri… will you please lend me your power?" he inquired of the little girl aboard him.

X

Nighteye's eyes were shaking at the appearance of Rebecca after her transformation. Everyone watching was stunned. At that moment, Acnoella huffed.

"I suppose there's no point in prolonging this," she admitted to her foes' surprise, "Grandeeney," she beckoned, enticing the air-made dragon to fly over, allowing her to jump aboard its back.

"Hold it right there!" Holy yelled, firing off a beam of light from her right hand. However, it was stopped by Metalicana, who stood in the way of her and the other I.U.A. Heroes.

"Hm," the Oracion Seis member huffed again, "I think I've done you all a favor today," she noted to her foes, "Now you can all focus on that Hassaikai bastard…" she pointed out.

"RYUGA!" Ryukyu bellowed out, getting her attention as she glanced down at the Dragoon Hero, who breathed heavily with exhaustion, "Tell me…" she began, "what is that you're after?!" she questioned angrily. Her sister let off a wicked smirk.

"To one day attain rule over this pathetic country with my power…" she answered grimly, "And after a demonstration today, I'm certain I'll reach that goal…" she declared on before being flown off through the giant hole in the ceiling.

"Ryuga!" Ryukyu yelled, only to falter over onto her right knee.

"Stay calm," Feather advised, crouching down to tend to her.

"Well… James isn't going to be happy about this…" Eraser remarked over to Holy, who sighed. She then perked up in realization.

"Suneater!" she exclaimed as she whipped around.

"I'm okay…" the Manifest Quirk user assured, staggering over to her relief.

"What about the other Hassaikai members?" she inquired.

"All secured over here, Holy!" Nejire confirmed as a reply, having the downed Hari and Shin beside her.

"And what's the status on Rutherford and Nighteye here?" Eraser added in question, approaching alongside the dual-type Quirk user.

"Well, I can stabilize the kid…" Ivry answered, having finally stopped the bleeding of Kris' severed limbs, "but he's another story…" she pointed out, glancing over to the weakened Foresight Quirk user, "Spike through the stomach isn't exactly something I can help deal with on the spot…" she mentioned in admittance, grimacing with frustration.

"Nighteye…" Holy uttered. He and Ochaco were still looking at Rebecca, whose fists were clenched tightly as she looked up to the surface.

"Bluegarden…" he uttered, getting her attention as she looked over at him, "Do you really think… you can change the future?" he inquired of her.

"…It's not a matter of whether or not I can do it…" she responded after a moment, "I just have to," she stated. She then crouched down and took a great leap upwards, resulting in a shockwave of air that blew past everyone in an instant.

"What the…?!" Ochaco exclaimed out of shock.

"So that's the power of one's Overdrive…?" Eraser presumed aloud. Holy's eyes were shaking.

'That kind of force…' she began inwardly, 'it was just like…' she continued, quite astonished.

"…Uravity…" Nighteye uttered, getting the Zero Gravity Quirk user's attention, "I need your aid…" he requested of her as she blinked in confusion, "Take me… to the surface…" he said.

"Take me, too…" Pino chimed in, causing Ochaco to look over at the little android in surprise. Up above, Kai was continuing to spout how useful Eri's power was to him. With it, he could rewind a person to a time before Quirks ever existed, meaning he could eliminate them entirely. He thought the powers themselves were a disease, and that the little girl's Quirk was the only thing that could cure them.

"She is mine!" he proclaimed as he lunged out at his opponent with his multiple large arms, "A naïve little brat like you wouldn't know how to use her!" he added angrily.

"SHUT…" a familiar voice started to bellow, causing both him and Izuku to perk up. Coming up right below Overhaul was Rebecca, who had a fierce expression upon her face. "UPPPPP!" she roared, swinging her right leg out and striking the underside of her foe's body, propelling him high up into the air in an instant.

"R…Rebecca…?!" Izuku gasped out, while Eri awed the sight of the Cat Leaper Quirk user in her empowered state.

"It's not over yet, Izu!" she called out, making him blink in surprise, "Let's take him down together!" she insisted, leaping high into the air.

"R-Right!" her boyfriend replied, jumping after her.

"Dang, Izuku…" Himiko uttered from afar as she, Twice and Fie peeked out of an alleyway, "Nice," she commented.

"Dat Bluegarden chick's gots some crazy power, too…" the Flame Ammo Quirk user pointed out.

"Indeed…" Twice agreed in a serious voice, "I think we oughta' book it," he advised in a more carefree tone, "The heroes are more focused on Overhaul now," he pointed out.

"Yeah, he's gots a point…" Fie agreed. Himiko stared up in wonder at the pair of Izuku and Rebecca, who joined together as they were about to take on Kai. He, on the other hand, was recalling when he was first brought into the Hassaikai. He was extremely loyal.

So much so that he picked fights with those who dared to challenge the yakuza. The boss wasn't happy about his doings, especially when it came to trying to deal with drugs. He was set the old, proper ways of the Shie Hassaikai. But those ways weren't helping the organization prosper.

When Kai posed his plan of using Eri to help create drugs to destroy and restore Quirks, it was immediately rejected. The boss said he was losing his humanity with what he was doing. And if he failed to understand that, then he wasn't to have a place with the Shie Hassaikai.

So Kai did what he had to. He injured the old boss to the point where he was stuck in bed, with life support being the only thing keeping him alive. And from there, he continued his operation. But there was something else that had happened…

FLASHBACK

"What the hell is this?" Overhaul asked as he and Hari entered the dark room alongside a few more of their masked compatriots.

"No idea…" one of them answered as he shined a flashlight onto what looked to be a locked large safe door, with the words 'CODE 3173' above it.

"Code three-one-seven-three…" the Shie Hassaikai leader noted, narrowing his eyes, "You know anything about this, Kurono?" he inquired of his advisor.

"Sorry, no," he answered apologetically, "And if I don't know, I doubt the boss does either," he mentioned, making Overhaul growl with frustration.

"How'd you even find this thing?" he asked of his subordinates.

"Actually… it was Eri…" one of them answered to his surprise, "We were chasing her through the halls earlier and… she came across this…" he told the Shie Hassaikai leader.

"It was almost like she was drawn to it…" another member mentioned. Staring at the door for a moment, the Shie Hassaikai leader approached it, removing his right hand's glove and placing his palm against the door. After a moment, he stepped back.

"Whatever this is, I can't use my Quirk on it," he said, putting his glove back on, "Have this room locked up," he advised seriously, "We'll look more into it after we finish our plans," he promised, walking off. Taking one last look at the mysterious door, he was determined to uncover what lied within.

END FLASHBACK

"Why doesn't anybody… see the big picture?!" he roared in question, reassembling himself again as Izuku and Rebecca approached, "All I'm doing is helping tear down this very world, destroy its very foundation!" he proclaimed fiercely, "You're all blinded some outdated sense of what's right!" he continued, "You're only pretending to be heroes!" he yelled on, "So stay out of my way!" he roared, having created multiple arms around his body to fight off his foes. The Cat Leaper Quirk user clenched her teeth.

"You're the one…" she began angrily, "WHO'S IN THE WAY!" she roared as she kicked apart several of his arms, while her boyfriend did away with the others, striking them fiercely with his legs. Even as their foe reformed himself, neither of them were willing to back down, propelling themselves towards him.

"If we can't save one little girl that's crying right in front of us…" Izuku began as he zoomed up above, readying his fists.

"Then how can we call ourselves…" Rebecca continued as she reared her right leg back. First, her boyfriend barraged him with a flurry of punches, while she followed with her flurry of kicks. Together, the two of them bombarded their foe with rapid attacks before he could even think to counterattack, breaking off more and more pieces of his reassembled body. He managed to bat his eyes open, only to see the figures of the two people about to strike him.

"HEROESSSSS?!" they exclaimed simultaneously, with Izuku punching him in the face, while Rebecca slammed her left leg into his gut. Having just arrived to the surface were Ochaco, Nighteye, and Pino.

"Didn't you say… Deku was going to die?" the Zero Gravity Quirk user inquired of the former sidekick of All Might.

"Yes… but…" he started to answer, "this is…" he tried to say, only to trail off at the sight of both of his work study students landing upon the ground in their empowered states, staring out at a downed and bloodied Kai.

'Does this mean… the future can actually be changed…?' Nighteye wondered inwardly, amazed by what Izuku and Rebecca had done together. All he could do was smile. If the future could be changed as they had done, then all was well…

Opens with Rebecca as a little girl waking up in the morning at the orphanage she grew up in. She plays with the other orphans as Witch watches on, smiling all the while. Growing up, Rebecca is a big help around the orphanage, learning to cook with Witch, organize, and even clean.

At one point, a cat is adopted by the orphanage, being none other than Happy. Rebecca is the one to take care of it the most, feeding him every so often and sleeping with him. She goes out on a walk with him and Witch one day, heading to a local park. There, she sees Izuku lying on the ground after having to deal with Katsuki and the other bullies.

From then on, he and Rebecca become friends, growing up together. They even go out to get hero trading cards one day, coming across the rare All Might card in their respective packs. Throughout their school days from kindergarten to elementary to junior high, Izuku and Rebecca stay great friends.

One night during a school dance, Izuku sits dejectedly as everyone else is dancing together in pairs. Rebecca approaches him, wearing a lovely green dress. She offers her hand to Izuku, who graciously accepts it as his face scrunches up. They dance together, all while Katsuki watches on from the corner with a look of annoyance on his face.

The years go by, up to the end of middle school. The day arrives that Izuku and Rebecca get to U.A. High, entering alongside each other. We see flashes of everything they've gone through: the Quirk tests, the battle training, the USJ incident, the Sports Festival, the internships, the final exams, the forest camp attack, the incident in Camino Ward, the provisional licensing exam, and Izuku and Katsuki's fight afterwards.

From there, we see the couple dressed in their hero costumes, looking out to the horizon as they're joined by their classmates, prepared to face whatever lies ahead. Izuku looks to Rebecca and smiles, taking her hand into his own and holding onto it firmly. Neither of them are ever going to lose hope in each other.

And there you have it! Rebecca's got her Overdrive and with her boyfriend, they've bested Overhaul. Of course, things aren't over from here. We've got a lot to cover in the next couple of chapters, so stay tuned for what'll likely be quite a ride to close this arc out.

Thanks for reading, everyone! See you next time!
