Season of the Skull

Out in space, the Skeleton King Worm is floating to find the planet to corrupt as the Super Robot is pursuing it. Everyone is seated in the bridge as they chased the Skeleton King Worm.

"A Skeleton King Worm is gaining speed." Gibson reported. "Its distance is two-point-seven astral units."

"This is all or nothing, team." Chiro said, "Charge up the Torso Cannons!"

Otto brings up the weapon system.

"Charged and ready, Chiro!" He said.

"Target locked!" Tyran said, locking on the Skeleton King Worm.

"Fire!" Chiro ordered.

The Super Robot fires its Torso Cannons at the Skeleton King Worm which it roared in pain and upset.

"Um, I think all we did was make it angry." Nova gulped.

"Hold our position!" Antauri said, preparing for worst.

Skeleton King Worm turns and breathed its dark energy at the Robot. The Robot is being warped in the dark tunnel with ghouls as the Hyper Force is holding on to their life.

"What's happening?!" Chiro asked.

"The beam is…transported us across the cosmos!" Gibson gasped.

The Super Robot is soon transported to an unknown world. The door opens for the Hyper Force before they step out to see the fog that covers the sight.

"Where are we?" Nova asked, "I can't see anything through this fog."

"Wait, I sense many life-forms approaching." Antauri said, looking at something in the fog.

As they did, the eyes is glowing in the fog.

"Hugh!" Chiro gasped.

He looked to his right and saw more glowing eyes, but not only that, the Hyper Force is soon being surrounded by more glowing eyes.

While exploring the outskirts of the city, I discovered an abandoned Super Robot. It was then my life was transformed by the mysterious Power Primate. The Robot Monkeys and a Cyborg were awakened and I, Chiro, became their leader. Our quest: save Shuggazoom City from the evils of the Skeleton King.

The Hyper Force is unmoved by mysterious glow eyes, not knowing what to do.

"Chiro, look out!" Otto yelled as one that looks like a demon is flying and tackle Chiro.

"Get off of…" He grunted while trying to get it off.

Soon, more creatures has emerged from the fog before they attacked.

"Magna-Tingler Blast!" Sparx fires his energy magnet at them, but it didn't affect them.

The demon clawed him away, knocking back to the group.

Nova jumped up to punch the demon, but it gobbled her up as she tried to break free until it spit her out.

"Ugh…!" She disgusted, covered in drool.

"Chiro Spearo!" Chiro stabbed the demon with lightning spear, knocking it away.

The demon shot its fireball from its tail, blasting Chiro away. Antauri used his Ghost Phase to attack it, but the demon used its eye laser, blasting him as well.

"Our power is useless against these fiends." Gibson said while he, Otto, and Tyran is surrounded.

The Hyper Force is backed against each other away from them until they heard a howling and growling sound in the fog.

"Now what?" Tyran said.

"More monsters." Otto said, readied his saw blade.

The figure emerged from the fog, with a green skull.

"Back, vile creatures of the night!" He bellowed, scaring the demon creatures away as they vanished in the fog.

He then approaches the Hyper Force, who were remained cautious about this figure.

"You are safe now, strangers." The figure assured and took off his mask, "It is only a mask."

It surprises them before the fog is dispersed, revealing that they're in the leafless forest with the moon hovering the night skies.

"Where in the universe are we?" Chiro asked.

"Right outside of Crypto-vania, my friends." He pointed at the village. "I am magistrate of this tiny town. Follow me."

They follow him to the small town.

As they walked in the small town, they see everything is… Halloween theme like a Jack-o-lantern lamppost, a witch of the well, and a bat for the weather vanes. Before they pass the crossroads, they see a couple of large size black cats, pulling the Jack-o-lantern as a carriage.

"Cool!" Otto awed. "Look how spooktacular everything is!"

"Can we leave now?" Sparx said, uneased by a scarecrow.

"What's the matter? Scared?" Nova teased.

"No, I just got this weird feeling." He denied.

"Really? it's just a scarecrow. I mean it's like it's gonna jumped and scare you." Tyran joked, making Nova giggled.

"Would you tighten those lips, will ya?" He chided, "I like it better when you couldn't talk like that."

"Actually, I agree with Sparx…for once." Gibson agreed, "This world and its custom are highly suspicious."

He noticed the residence of this world is holding their mask before they proceed to the manor.

"So, Magistrate, um, exactly what is going on here?" Chiro asked.

"A great curse has befallen us." He answered, "Every night, demons from another world come and steal our little ones away."

"Demons, you say?" Gibson inquired.

"Why would those demons want to take the children away?" Tyran questioned.

"The only thing that can ward them off are mask…" He said, pulls out his mask, "More frightening than they are."

Once they arrived his manor, they stopped to see the woman with red hair, making Sparx taken back by her frightening appearance.

"We call this curse, the season of the skull." She said as the thunder flashes.

"This is my wife, Severine." Magistrate said, "Welcome to our humble abode."

The doors opened behind her as the bats flies away and ghosts flies around, laughing.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, you think I'm going into that house with that old creepazoid, you're out of your box!" Sparx huffed.

Chiro, Tyran, and the monkey team went in the manor.

"No need to fear these superstitious life-forms, Sparx." Gibson shrugged, skeptically, "Curses, magic, it's all a mass of mumbo jumbo."

"Don't be too hasty to condemn these people's beliefs, Gibson." Antauri said.

Having a second thought, Sparx looked up to see more ghost and went in with the others. Magistrate lit the candle lamp while the Hyper Force looked at the interior of their manor.

"There are only a handful of little ones left in the village." He said, "We need your help."

"Here strangers, take these magic masks to protect yourselves." Sarah Mina showed them to an opened cabinet, revealing the Halloween-theme mask.

"Huh." Chiro said, looking at the mask and putting it on as Sparx walked to him. "RAAAHHH!"

Sparx shrieked in fear by Frankenstein mask.

"Hey, how do I look?"

"Weird, I want one!" Otto said,

Sparx puts on the Satan mask on.

"I feel like an idiot." He groaned.

Chiro thumbs-up and grunted in response.

"Ahh!" He yelped to see the Witch mask that Nova puts on. "Nova!"

"Heheheh! Got you!" She cackled, slapping his back.

"I really hope blood-drinking is not part of this ritual." Gibson said, putting on the Dracula mask.

"I suppose my ghost mode would be appropriate now." Antauri joked, putting on the Ghost mask on.

"How you like me now? Woohoo!" Otto hopped around, wearing a Jackalope mask. "I'm a Jackalope! Woowoo!"

"Hey, where's Tyran and what kind of mask did he take?" Chiro asked, looking around for him.

"Right here…" They turned to see the cyborg, wearing a big green mask with crazy grin, swirly eye on left eye, and big purple bulbous nose. "OOGA BOOGA BOOGA!"

"AAAHHHH!" The Hyper Force screamed by the hideous mask he choose.

"Scared ya, didn't I?" He laughed.

As they flinched from the mask that he take, Gibson noticed the book at the podium.

"Hmm, what's this?" He said, flipping his mask off. "The Grimoire of Necrotis. Perhaps there's a rational answer to this mystery and this somewhat diabolical looking tome."

As he examine the pages, he come across the mark of a demon that attack them earlier before hearing a sound that's coming from outside as the others join in to see what's happening.

"The demons! The demons have returned!" He said as the demons is flying down to terrorize the village.

The villagers panicked and runs away from the demons before the Hyper Force rushed out to save them.

Chiro punched the demon away. Antauri flying-kicked the demon away. Sparx fires his Magna-Ball Beam Splitter at three demons while Gibson fires his Spin Shocker at two demons and Otto uses his Scritch-Scratch Doom Thrower on one demon as the other two retreated.

"Hey, these masks is boosting our powers."

"Boo!" Nova jumped and grabbed them before hurling them around until she throws them against the building.

The group of demons decided to retreat, but Tyran jumps, with the mask, in front of horde of demons.

"OOGA BOOGA BOOGA!" He yelled, scaring the demons, who was frightened by crazy green mask and flies away. "I'm so keeping this mask."

Thinking that they've won the fight, they heard a sobbing and whimpering from the villagers, leaving the Hyper Force, confused.

"What's wrong with everyone? We just saved the town." Otto said, scratching his head.

"Our little ones! They're gone!" Sarah Mina cried, "They're gone!"

"Well, how can we get them back?" Chiro asked.

"There is only one way. You must find the Mystic Flame of Thanatos." The Magistrate said.

"Its fire is the only thing that can destroy the demons." She said.

"So, where we get this mystic flame?" Chiro inquired.

"It forever burns in a sacred cemetery beyond the haunted forest." He pointed at the forest. "But I warn you, all who ventured there have never returned."

"Don't worry, Magistrate. How hard can it be to find a flame in a dark cemetery?" The boy said.

The Hyper Force began venturing to the Haunted Forest.

"Follow the path, my friends. Do not stray from it, lest evil come." Severine advised before fog rolls in as Chiro looked back.

At the trail, the Hyper Force pass by the tree that looks like a cloaked phantom before entering the Haunted Forest. Everything in the forest is quiet, except the chirping crickets and the hooting owl.

"Stay out with me, Sparx." He heard an eerie voice and ran to catch up with others.

"Where are we? We've been walking forever." Nova said.

"Has anyone noticed? The moon hasn't moved since we arrived here." Gibson noted, looking at the moon.

"Gibson is right, this world is not governed by normal time and space." Antauri exclaimed.

"Listen, gab all you want, but I say we take a shortcut." Sparx suggested.

"No way, Sparx. Remember what Severine said about staying on the path, lest evil come." Chiro reminded him.

"Okay, okay, just let me get a bird's-eye view." He shrugged.

Sparx flies up to get a view, but gets smacked down by a tree branch.

"Oh, what hit me?" He groaned and see the tree has come alive and grabbed him. "What the!?"

"Sparx!" Chiro and the others ran in the forest to save him. "Drop him!"

He blast his Monkey Fu at the tree, making it release Sparx.

"Sparx, are you okay?" Nova asked while Gibson aimed his drill.

"Never better." He said as another tree comes to life and swat them away.

"Claw Slash Attack!" Antauri sliced its arm off.

"Needle Laser!" Tyran shot his purple needles at two living trees.

Otto lungafter the tree, but was caught by the tree branch and thrown away.

"Thunder Punch!" Chiro throws his fist, but the trees grabbed his fist and restraining his body. "Monkey Fu!"

He unleashed his Power Primate energy, releasing himself from the tree. Tyran and the monkey regroup with Chiro as they are surrounded by more living trees.

"Get back on the path, team, now!" He ordered.

They head back to the path as the tree branch stretches out to reach them. As they're almost there, Otto was fallen behind before he was grabbed.

"Woah!" He yelped as the others made it to the path.

The living trees faded back to normal trees and Otto stop struggling as he sees the trees stop before he was yanked out by Tyran's grappling harpoon while everyone else panted.

"Sparx, I'm gonna say this just one time: STAY ON THE PATH!" Nova scolded Sparx.

A few minutes later, The Hyper Force resumed their trial to find the Mystic Flames of Thanatos.

"What is that tome you're reading, Gibson?" Antauri asked, noticing the book he's reading.

"A so-called book of magic." He answered, "But I highly doubt this grimoire actually works."

"Let me try it out." Otto takes the book from him and read. "Agooloo Koo-Koo Roo-Roo!"

Gibson's head turned into a Rooster's head.

"Egad, I've become some sort of poultry!"

"Oh, sweet!"

"Admittedly, I make a rather handsome chicken."

"Malaha Moo-Koo Lumwei!"

Gibson's head changed back to normal.

"Well, at least you know the book works." Nova exclaimed as Gibson took the book from Otto.

"Nonsense, it's simply the will manipulating reality at the quantum level." He scoffed, "I really don't believe in magic."

As they walked, the path ended as they stopped walking.

"Wait a minute, the path is gone." Chiro said.

"Chiro, look." Antauri pointed at something.

"It looks like we're here." Tyran said.

"The Sacred Cemetery." Nova added.

The Hyper Force explored the cemetery to find the mystic flame, hoping they don't disturb the dead.

"Antauri, do you see the mystic fire thing?" Chiro asked.

Antauri use his binoculars to locate the flame.

"Over this hill." He pointed beyond the hills where the demon statue, holding the green flame torch. "Thirteen meters."

"A flame of Thanatos." Chiro grabbed the torch.

Once he took the torch, something is making a strange noise before the jack-o-lantern on the tombstones, comes to life and attack them.

"Hyper Force, Go!"

Nova jumped and punched the pumpkin, but she went through it. Otto tried cutting pumpkin ghost, but it knocked him against the tombstone.

"Hey, let me go!" Sparx yelled while the pumpkin ghost restrain him before the ghost throw its own head at him. "Get this thing off of me!"

Tyran tried hacking the pumpkin ghosts with axe and mace, but the pumpkin ghost throws their head at him, stunning him as he was covered in pumpkin seeds.

"Ugh!" He groaned, wiping the pumpkin seeds off.

"Gibson, use that magic book!" Chiro told him while fending them off with mystic flames.

"But I can't make it work! It's not logical!" He protested.

"Gibson!"

"Oh, very well. Klaatu Barada Nikto!" He said, but the flower appeared on his head. "It didn't do anything!"

Gibson sees the incoming pumpkin ghost, but Antauri slashed it as it covers him with pumpkin seeds.

"Aim for those gourds!" He said.

"Lightning Kick!" Chiro kicked the pumpkin head, destroying it.

Gibson fire his Spin Shocker at the pumpkin ghost, destroying its head. Tyran throws his Axe-Mace Chuck Thrower at two pumpkin ghosts' heads, destroying them. Nova smashed two pumpkin ghost's head. Otto lunges at the last one as he rushed passed it as he sliced it. He looked to see that the pumpkin ghost stem cuts off, then its head in half.

"We got the magic flame thing." Chiro said. "Now let's get back to town."

Back in the Cryptovania, The Magistrate and Severine sat on the rocking chair, waiting for the Hyper Force if they come back with the Mystic Flame of Thanatos

"Magistrate, we're back!" They looked to see Hyper Force have returned mystic flames.

"Strange ones, you've done it! You truly done it!" He said.

"You found the mystic flames." She said.

The Magistrate took the flame from Chiro and held it up in the air as the demons are gathered, along with the villagers. They all laughed, evilly.

"What's going on?" Nova asked.

"Yeah, what is this?" Sparx added.

"You fools! We've been trying to get this mystic flame forever." The Magistrate sneered as he turned into a demon as his wife did. "But demons are forbidden to enter a Sacred Cemetery."

The whole villagers turned into a demon as well.

"This doesn't look so good." Otto said.

"Now you understand these imps weren't stealing our children; these imps are our children!" Severine laughed.

"So you used us to get that mystic flame for you?!" Tyran snarled.

"Why yes and who does, cyborg?" The Magistrate smirked.

"Well, what about this?!" Chiro and Hyper Force pull out their mask to scare them.

"Did you truly think those masks would protect you?" He laughed, throwing his mask away.

Suddenly, their masks turned into a rope and bind them as they struggled to break hold of it.

"You fell right into our trap, boy."

The Hyper Force were lifted in the air and pulled as the villagers heads to the hill where giant scarecrow-like statue is standing on the hills.

"Demons of Cryptovania, tonight we are here to honor the great lord, the Skeleton King!" The Magistrate announced as the Skeleton King Worm hovers above them, shocking the Hyper Force

"To you, we offer these new victims." She said as the demons hollered and cheered.

"We now have the one thing that can bring life to the Wicker Skeleton, the Mystic Flames of Thanatos." He held the mystic flames. "Let the ritual begin!"

The Magistrate lit the statue, bringing the Wicker Skeleton to life.

"I can't activate my drills!" Gibson grunted.

"Antauri, can you ghost phase through the ropes?" Chiro asked.

"Negative, these restraints are magical in nature." Antauri said.

"Wait, I can get my tail free!" Nova said.

"Well, hurry up because we're about to become sacrifice to that big flaming scarecrow!" Tyran said

"I'm trying! Come on, come on." Nova struggled as the Wicker Skeleton is walking towards them.

She's struggled to get her tail free until she did and turn it into a spin blade, freeing herself and the others.

"No!" The Magistrate yelled.

The Wicker Skeleton approached and raised its foot.

"Look out!" Chiro yelled.

"Incoming!" Tyran yelled.

They scattered before the giant foot crushes them as the Wicker Skeleton howled and swatted Nova and Antauri. Chiro threw his Chiro Spearo at it, but it became less effective.

"Uh-oh!" He gulped.

"Destroy them! Destroy them all!" Severine laughed, evilly.

The Wicker Skeleton punched down on Chiro, but missed when he jumped. Otto fires his Scritch-Scratch Doom Thrower at it, but it has no effect. Tyran shot his Cryo Optic at the Wicker Skeleton, but it became less effective.

"Our energy attacks are useless!" Chiro exclaimed.

"Let me distract this creature." Antauri said before flying around the Wicker Skeleton as it tried to swat him.

"Gibson, try and find a spell to take that monster out."

"But there's no way I can muster the belief to-" Gibson protested as Antauri was blasted by its fire breath.

"Do it! Do it now!" Chiro yelled.

"Knick-knock Knick-knock Foofoo!" He chanted the spell.

They waited to see it happened as The Wicker Skeleton held its head in pain, but it was only kidding.

"Nice going, Gibson. Why don't you give it some extra arms while you're at it?!" Nova said, sarcastically.

The Wicker Skeleton breathed fire at Otto, Nova and Tyran, but Gibson, Chiro, and Sparx jumped out of its way.

"The only way it's gonna work is if you have the power of belief." Chiro said.

"That's not logical!" Gibson argued.

"Sometimes logic isn't the answer."

Sparx used his Magna-Tingler Blast on the Wicker Skeleton, but the creature swatted him away.

"Sparx!" Chiro cried and unleashed his inner primate power. "Use the book!"

He holds off the Wicker Skeleton while Gibson is flipping through pages before it breathes fire on Chiro.

"Augh! Gibson!" He screamed.

"Eh, yes! I believe this one will do." Gibson said before chanting the spell. "Hakama Shagama Ragada!"

Chiro's inner primate is starting to waver as the Wicker Skeleton is pushing him down a bit.

"Gibson!"

"I'm not through! Asai Supa Moomen Shance Boyaconsha!"

Suddenly, the Wicker Skeleton roared as its body is glowing and exploded in rain of fire. Gibson braced from the explosion until he was shielded by Chiro.

"You did it, Gibson." He said, making him smiled of believing inbelief.

The flames from the Wicker Skeleton shot up and hit the Skeleton King Worm while Tyran and the monkey team recovered and saw it as it shot up to space. The Villagers of Cryptovania yelled as the demon essence was exorcised from them and vanished into nothingness.

"W-where am I?" Severine asked, confusedly.

"What happened? Who…" The Magistrate asked, confusedly before facing the Hyper Force. "Who are you?"

"It seems that they don't remember what happened." Tyran said.

"Yeah, I think we've got a lot of explaining to do here, guys." Chiro said.

"Gibson, do you believe that you can use the book to get us off this strange world?" Antauri requested.

"I believe anything is possible." He said.

A couple hours later after explaining, The crowd cheered before the Super Robot takes off as The Magistrate and his wife waved goodbye to the Hyper Force.

"Abram Allen Abraxalerm!" Gibson chanted as the portal to space opens.

They flew in to the portal and resume searching for Skeleton King Worm.

"We're back in pursuit of the Dark One Worm." Antauri said.

"Yes, but they've gained a substantial lead." Gibson said. "It could be days before we catch up with them."

"I agree, who knows what sort of damages that Skeleton King Worm could do any world they come across?" Tyran added as Sparx shows up and gasped at the gourd that they brought in.

"Y-you actually brought one of those gourd things with you?" Sparx said, uneased by a Jack-o-lantern.

"That's a souvenir from the villagers." Tyran said.

"Yeah, I was thinking maybe we could celebrate a Spook day back on Shuggazoom." Chiro said.

"Yeah, that would be the best." Otto agreed.

"Huh, is that Gibson's spell book you're reading?" Nova asked.

"Uh-huh, listen to this little remedy for itchy fur!" Otto said before chanting, "Aizad Boro Dosage Devac!"

With the poof of smoke, Sparx turned into a giant red rat.

"What did it do? Did it do anything?" He questioned.

"EEWW!" Nova disgusted, cringed at the sight of rat

"What wrong? What?" He asked, making Gibson fainted. "Wh-"

He sees Nova as a big Swiss cheese as he licked his chops and licked her.

"Sparx? What are you doing!? PUT ME DOWN!" Nova yelled, "SPARX!"

The others laughed at her predicament before Tyran came up to them.

"Don't worry, Nova. I know just a cure." He said.

"What?" She inquired.

Tyran pulled out his big green crazy mask.

"This! OOGA BOOGA BOOGA!" He yelled.

"AAAHHH!" Nova and Sparx screamed as he turned back to normal.

"AAHHHH!" Chiro and the rest screamed at the sight of that mask and scrambled as Otto dropped the spell book until they took covered in their chairs.

"That never gets old!" Tyran laughed, "Lucky, the villagers made this mask for me to scare you."

He laughed as Chiro and the monkey team gave him an annoyed look.

"That was not funny." Chiro frowned.
