RESIST

One would believe that the universe came to be through a big bang, once upon a time. That somehow, out of that explosion, the stars and planets would coincide, creating what we now call solar systems. And Sasuke would wonder what driving force could have caused the initial explosion. What made it explode? Why did it explode?

Who was the culprit behind such explosions?

Sasuke could not help but wonder. He was more than sure that it might have been the same creator who made chakras. For some reason, his whole being felt like an empty planet that needed to collide with another one… in order to create a home for a living thing. Not in a producing-a-child sense, but in a manner of filling up the empty space in his soul.

This connection he began to feel toward Hinata whenever he was alone was enough force to create an explosion that could create a whole universe. Especially after having sex with her.

At this point, his mind was sprinting faster than his own body than his own ability to perceive what was happening inside of him. He definitely felt his strength growing; his previous ability to perform a genjutsu under 3 seconds, now he could do under 1 second. What if he would consume her more, to the depths of her soul; would she die or live?

He opened his hands and stretched out his arms. Sasuke had sworn he could see chakra surging in his veins, doing their thing of what one would call "upgrading". Yet, the speed of it would take a normal person 1 year to accomplish.

A smirk was evident on the man's face.

This way, he'd be able to destroy Konoha in a blink of an eye.

Before evil could consume him whole, Suigetsu walked into the room as usual with his notepad, and a pair of glasses. It was evident that he had done his research and Sasuke expected a magnificent set of information. Suigetsu's demeanor was different this time; not his usual dorky excited self.

"Boss," the white-haired began, glancing from his notes to Sasuke, "I think you'd want to know about this."

"Hn." Sasuke responded.

"This is about your brother, Itachi. I know it hasn't been long since…" Suigetsu paused, not wanting to spell out the death of Sasuke's brother out loud, "... So please stop me if he told you."

Sasuke's jaw tightened, as if it was his reaction to fear of being disappointed even more.

"I wouldn't like to think that it runs down in the family, but apparently your brother was locked with someone, too. With a girl named Uchiha Izumi."

Sasuke could barely remember what she looked like, but he remembered her.

"She was the only one to die of a genjutsu. Apparently they had completed their chakra unison process, knowing full well that Itachi would… well." Suigetsu would say.

"Go on," Sasuke urged.

"Your brother apparently loved her in return, and placed her in an illusion of her getting promoted to chunin. And also the illusion of Itachi's marriage with her, and that they had a child together."

Sasuke felt his heart throb, just a little.

"She experienced growing old with Itachi, and they both witnessed their child becoming an adult, until her old age, in her deathbed. She died thinking she was an old woman, when she was actually young. All this Itachi accomplished in a few seconds… evidence that he had acquired the full potential of the Locked Soul legend."

"How did you get access to this information?" Sasuke asked, almost emotionless.

"I had my channels… His story is not the only one."

Sasuke turned his head, fixing his eyes out the window, knowing the path that would lead him straight to Hinata like the back of his hand.

"So, did he forget about her after that?"

"Well, in his case, his memories of her never really were gone. I suspect that maybe it was because he had fallen ill throughout the years, and the memories of her was what kept his chakra unison alive for as long as the fates desired."

"Hn."

Suigetsu's brows furrowed, "Boss, I'm reading this off of his own writing. And I have compiled them for you just in case, you know, you'd want to keep them." The white-haired placed an envelope of Itachi's writing on Sasuke's desk.

The Uchiha didn't leave his eyes from the trail he would take to get to Hinata. Maybe he didn't want to show his emotions to his sidekick. "It's been 3 weeks since you were with her. How do you feel?" Suigetsu asked.

"I'm not sure why this is relevant." Sasuke responded.

"Very relevant, boss. I've been keeping tabs on your growth, symptoms, and so on."

Silence from the Uchiha before he spoke.

"I feel strength. But also emptiness."

Sasuke could hear Suigetsu taking notes the moment he spoke.

"Right now, I'm focused on 2 things; to obliterate Konoha to dust and to take the Hyūga with me. Sometimes I cannot discern which one is greater, but whenever I'm with her, Konoha is the last thing on my mind."

That was enough vulnerability from the Uchiha. He didn't want to admit how much he yearned to be close to her, to touch her, to take her away from that cursed village, and just have her all to himself. What if he had to kill her just like how Itachi had to kill Izumi?

Would he go that far?

"Based on your symptoms, it's safe to assume that the Hyūga might be in desperate need of you, boss. According to Izumi's account, migraines have developed into fevers that might potentially cause seizures."

Worry struck Sasuke to a level he never thought he'd ever experience, ever again. Not when it involved a woman. Sasuke finally turned his gaze toward Suigetsu,

"Do you have any idea when Tobi decides to invade Konoha?"

"Not that I know of. Surely, it depends on you, since you are preparing yourself with the Hyūga."

With that, the Uchiha took his sword, and left the cabin they stayed in. Suigetsu, frantically ran outside to catch up with Sasuke,

"Boss, when will you be back?!"

"A whole fucking month." And with that, Sasuke disappeared into the woods. Did he find it important to read Itachi's letters? Maybe. But his heart couldn't take more disappointments after learning off the whole truth. Not when he's got some accelerated time in his hands. When Konoha is destroyed, maybe then he'll finally become human.

Hinata could not handle the pain any longer. Her body gave her a mixture of the weirdest feelings; a feeling of actually being stronger, but with a chakra that constantly gnaws at her immune system, like a drug, asking for a triple dose after the first one. Just like the pills her therapist gave her.

She had multiple instances to swallow the pill. But she knew better, even though what's better was dangerous for her own home town. She had been pushed to an edge where she would do anything to be in his arms again. She couldn't waste another day.

The heiress didn't run from Konoha to pursue the man. It was more like she convinced the hokage to get herself back on the mission to retrieve Sasuke back. When she offered herself, she was in her prime. Their first unison cycle made her look like she was never sick in the first place. But the longer she was away from her, the worse her symptoms became.

She was now rushing through the trees, her arm hugging her torso, knowing that her chakra was depleting fast. Her gut hated her utmost desire; the feeling of needing Uchiha Sasuke. That she was a wreck without him. That she was nothing… without him.

Tears began to stream down her face as she came to a halt, falling from the branches and finally made impact to the ground under her. Hinata ran away from her squad to look for her traitor. Her monster. The devil himself.

She laid there, on her side, with the teardrop pendant sticking out of her vest. She laid there crying while her arm was still trying to get her gut from bursting.

"S-Sasuke, you b-bastard…–" she said before coughing, a small trickle of blood running out of the side of her mouth. She'd wipe it off her face with her hand before she used what's left of her strength to sit up, knowing full well laying there won't get her closer to her lover.

But to her relief, she saw her pendant light up a low crimson.

Her eyes lit up, searching for her surroundings with Byakugan. She couldn't see him.

"S-Sasuke?" she'd call out. The wind came to rustle the bushes and the leaves above her, which made it hard for her to concentrate. The sun was setting and she desperately needed a place to rest.

With tears welling up her eyes again, it caused her vision to blur. Hinata first thought it might have been the tears, but she soon realized she was getting weaker. When a hand was on her cheek, she noticed him kneeling in front of her. His face was not empty, filled with concern, and eyes engulfed with…

Love.

"You look like hell," he said.

Once again, the pendant lit up, having found the source of chakra within it.

"I feel like hell," she said.

Sasuke leaned in to kiss her. Something that would surprise the heiress.

But it wasn't hard to kiss him back. It was never hard to give herself up for him. It was second nature to place her life into his hands, even though she knew the Locked Soul will torture her. Even though she'd forget him in the end. But he wasn't a difficult individual. He was everything Hinata wanted Naruto to be, and everything she never wanted Naruto to be. Sasuke was her devil, and he brought her the sweetest hell she couldn't resist.

"What do you want, Hinata?"

"I-I want you," she said faintly.

Lips pressing with each other again, moving into a motion that required passion and desire. With that kiss alone, Hinata could feel the majority of pain subsiding.

"This time, I'm tying you up, and I'll torture you." Sasuke said after breaking the kiss, his fingers combing through her silky raven hair.

"Why do you torture me?" Hinata responded, completely yielded.

"I told you, I'm sick of you. Remember?"

Hinata's sad eyes weren't ones that wanted to hide.

"But I think I'm sick of you because I've fallen deeply in love with you."
