CHAPTER 17

As Marcia and Elincia were soaring through the skies on their pegasus mounts, something strange was going on in the distance. Marcia, having questioned Elincia about the strange activity, wanted to know exactly what was happening. As the two flew over there, the raven laguz Nealuchi, right hand to Naesala, was protecting Leanne, the sister of Prince Reyson and Prince Rafiel. However, Begnion Dragonmasters and Dracoknights were attempting to kidnap Leanne. Marcia and Elincia heard every word from Nealuchi.

"Begone, Begnion! Begone!" yelled Nealuchi.

"No way are we leaving until we have the heron princess!" yelled a Dragonlord on a maroon wyvern. "Besides, the herons fetch a biiiiiig price at markets!"

"Nealuchi!" yelled Leanne in Ancient Tongue.

"Don't worry, my lady Leanne." said Nealuchi as he understood her language. "I shall protect you in the name of the Raven King Naesala!"

"Hah hah hah!" yelled a Begnion Wyvern Mage. "Do you really think that you, a simpleton of elders, is going to protect a young heron laguz changeling?"

"S-stop it!" yelled Nealuchi.

Elincia and Marcia later flew over to the terrain to see what was going on.

"Queen Elincia!" yelled Leanne in Ancient Tongue.

"Queen Elincia, it's a pleasure to see you." said Nealuchi.

"Heh. Company. How droll." said the Dragonlord on the maroon wyvern mount.

"Let them go right now, and leave them alone!" yelled Marcia. "We will not let Begnion dracoknights capture and sell any laguz into slavery!"

"That's my job, Marcia!" yelled a female voice of familiarity to Marcia.

"Cecily?" asked Elincia.

"Yup, I'm here, ready to save the laguz in the name of the Laguz Confederation Legion!" proclaimed Cecily.

"What?! This lady…saves the stupid laguz?!" asked the Dragonmaster deputy.

"That's what she said…" said one dracoknight.

"STOP!" yelled Cecily. "….That's better." Cecily later called out for Haar. Unfortunately, Haar was sleeping on his ebon black wyvern. Cecily went to yell at him to wake him up.

"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn….." Haar yawned loudly.

"Haar, stop your sleepy nonsense and help us!" yelled Cecily.

"...Right….yaaaaaaawwwn…" Haar said as he yawned again. He later soared down on his ebon black wyvern to fight off the Begnion troops.

"Insignificant sleepy Daein soldiers." said Cecily. "None of my laguz soldiers sleep on the job. Hell, not even my beorc soldiers Hannah and Colin sleep on the job either."

Cecily later soared down to deal with the Begnion wyvern knights and other Begnion wyvern mages coming in as reinforcements. There was really a big battle ahead of the game for Crimea.

All the wyvern soldiers were down, All except for the Dragonlord captain, who was wielding a poisoned Venom Axe, an axe inflicted with a toxic and deadly poison on the blade. Haar went to take care of the Dragonlord with the Venom Axe. As he almost got poisoned, he stepped away. However, as swords beat axes, and Elincia was wielding a Steel Sword, she went to knock the axe out of the rider's hand. The rider was later presumed dead after falling off his wyvern and onto the ground, hitting a rock below.

"Die, you dragonbackers! Never return to Crimea!" yelled Marcia.

Everyone later landed on the ground. "Is everyone alright?" asked Elincia.

"I'm alright." said Nealuchi. "What about you, Lady Leanne?" he asked Princess Leanne.

"I'm alright, Nealuchi." Leanne said to Nealuchi in Ancient Tongue. "On the other hand, I'm so happy to see Elincia again! Too bad she had to see Begnion causing drama."

Nealuchi translated to Elincia what Leanne said to him.

"Well, I'm happy to see you again, too." said Elincia.

"Frankly, I didn't think my old raven bones would be up to the task of protecting the princess of herons." sid Nealuchi. "We kindly thank you, Your Majesty, Queen Elincia."

"You are welcome." said Elincia. "The most important thing is that all of you guys are safe." Elincia then asked what brought Nealuchi and Leanne to Crimean grounds, as she thought they were in Gallia.

"Lady Leanne wanted to see the great General Ike." said Nealuchi. "We were traveling to Melior, the capital of Crimea, for that very purpose."

"Oh, that's sadly unfortunate. Ike left Melior half a year ago." said Elincia. "Rumor has it that reorganized the Greil Mercenaries….now no one knows where they are."

"So the whereabouts of the Greil Mercenaries are unknown?" asked Cecily. "I wonder what had happened to Kamaria and her brother Kito."

"I did forget for quite some time after the Mad King's War that you had Kito for so long, Cecily." said Elincia.

"But the whereabouts of the Greil Mercenaries…" said Nealuchi. "Now what are we to do?"

Elincia offered Nealuchi and Leanne to visit her royal court, saying that she would be very much pleased to investigate where the Greil Mercenaries are. Nealuchi and Leanne agreed to go with Elincia.
