Chapter 1-14: Quite Dashing
Soon, there are a few more people coming out.
One of them is Malleus as he says, "Thank you for your patience."
"Sorry it took us long," Briar's voice adds.
Sebek is shocked, "Sir!"
Even Sereia, Grim, and the twins are shocked.
"Woah! Is that really you, Briar?!" Grim asks.
Soon, Briar and Malleus walk out to reveal their outfits.
Malleus is wearing a black outfit that looks like it has black feathers on the shoulders, with gold designs on it. He also wears a black cape, and the collar gas gold accessories with a green gemstone. He also wears gold and green colored earrings. He also wears a black hat with gold trims and grayish laces. The back of the hat has feathers that are darkish grayish to green. He also wears green eyeshadows as well.
Briar's outfit is an elegant black dress. The dress is close to her ankles in length and the top is shoulder off with long puffy sleeves, and the dress flows a little. The laces along the bottom of the dress and cuffs are green, and around her waist is a green fabric with gold tassels. She also wears gold bracelets, hooped earrings, and a gold headband with a yellowish green gemstone in the center. She also wears black flats.
"What a comfort this is to wear. I wouldn't mind taking this home to Briar Valley even," Malleus says.
"Yes. I agree. I really like the clothes they've given us," Briar says.
Soon, Azul's voice appears, "I rather like mine as well."
Azul comes out to reveal his outfit.
Azul's outfit is black with some purple, and with golden designs on the sleeves and shoulder areas. He has a long string of pearls around his neck and a spiral seashell pin on ir. His hat is black with gold accessories of shells, pearls, and it has purple feathers on top. He also has a purple transparent cape.
"It's both elegant and well-made. And I'm quite enjoying this style!" Azul says.
Follow by Idia's, "I don't wanna go out... Don't make me…"
"President Rollo maintains a very strict timetable. Now move along!" The vice president says, and practically forces.
"Oof!" Idia yelps.
The gang turns to see Idia in his outfit.
Idia's outfit is black with pale blue designs and accessories. He also appears to be wearing a coat that is black with pale blue laces and tassels. His hair is died up in a black top hat with black feathers and a gray skill on it.
"...This sucks. I'm a giant bird now," Idia says, annoyed.
"I believe that's everyone, then," Trains says.
Soon, Sebek cries out, "MY LIIIEGE! You look magnificent... No, beyond magnificent. Am I dreaming?!"
Then turns to the others, "Humans! Can you see Malleus's noble personage?!"
"Yep," Jamil says.
"My word! It's like a dream, and yet it's so very real!" Sebek continues, excited, "To think there's attire outside of Briar Valley's that does justice to my liege's charm… FLEUR CITY HAS EARNED MY PRAISE!"
"Um... Thanks...?" The Vice president says, confused.
Sebek continues to comment, "My liege, that black ensemble accentuates your elegant demeanor. You look truly amazing!"
"Do you think so? But I always wear black," Malleus replies.
"Absolutely! It gives you an even greater aura of power than usual!" Sebek says, "And what's more, it emphasizes the graceful beauty you possess tenfold. It's brilliant!" Then calls out, "Come, Silver! Have you nothing to say?!"
"I couldn't get a word in. You look truly handsome, Malleus," Silver says.
"The sentiment is appreciated. Thank you," Malleus says.
'Malleus! I'm FAR more awestruck than Silver!" Sebek says, happily.
But Silver tries to calm him down, "Sebek, maybe rein it in a bit. You look like you're going to pass out from overexcitement."
"Yes. I think the entire college can hear you," Briar says.
"He's geeking out hardcore... Yikes…" Idia replies.
"I'm impressed with how unruffled Malleus is in the face of such egregious fawning," Azul says.
"Malleus also notices, "Oho? Silver and Sebek, your outfits seem to form a matching pair."
"Yes, sir. I think they designed them so that we'll look good when flanking you," Silver says.
"Very smart of them. Once again, I give my praise to Fleur City!" Sebek says.
"Uhh... Thank you...?" Aide says, a bit confused.
And Malleus says, "You both look quite dashing. You'd fit right in amongst any castle's royal guard. I must send Lilia a picture. It would hardly be fair if I were the only one to see you dressed as such. My cellular phone is broken, however," Then turns to Briar, "Briar, take a picture of them for me, if you would. I can see the look of delight on Lilia's face now. It seems I've gotten a souvenir for him already."
"Okay," Briar says, and brings out her phone.
"Thank you, Malleus," Silver says.
"What generous praise! And just as an aside, my outfit is one size larger than Silver's!" Sebek says.
Then Trein asks, "What purpose is there in competing over clothing size...? I deduct points for Zigvolt's noisiness, but I'll grant that you all look superb. Aren't you glad they provided you with such lovely attire?"
Idia sighs, "Yeah, yeah, I know you have to be polite. Sorry for making you baby me like that."
"Why must you put yourself down so? Have a little confidence," Trein responds.
And Azul says, "Can't you ever take a compliment at face value? All that finery is wasted when you're so negative, you know."
"And subject myself to people laughing at me? No thanks. They'd be all like, 'LOL he actually believed that? Dude was just being nice, rofl.' Oh, but Azul, you look great BTW," Idia responds.
"Am I supposed to believe that after everything you just said?" Azul questions with a frown.
"No, really, I mean it. That outfit ups your sus-factor like 100 percent, ez," Idia says.
Ruggie then says, "Idia and Azul definitely stand out. They're givin' classy vibes, all the way. This thing makes me feel all itchy, but... I guess if I think of it like a merchant's outfit, it's not so bad."
"True, it has a certain shrewd, calculating air that suits you nicely," Jamil says.
"Gee, thanks for the backhanded compliment. I could say the same thing about your outfit," Ruggie says.
Then Riddle says, "Why, Deuce. You're looking positively gallant. You could be a knight who stepped straight out of a historic painting. You look quite nice."
"Huh? ...Oh, um, thank you!" Deuce says, feeling flustered, "Honestly, I feel pretty out of place in this getup, but hearing you say that makes me feel a lot more comfortable. You've got this whole boss vibe going, yourself. Way to nail the look!"
"I question what 'vibe' that would even be, but I'll accept your sentiments," Riddle replies.
"You guys both look great. I'm jealous…" Epel says.
But Deuce says, "But you look just as nice, Epel. Why are you upset?"
"Well, I mean... My outfit's the only one that's, um… Cute," Epel says.
"Oh yeah, it totally is cute!" Deuce happily comments.
"It does have a distinctive charm to it," Riddle says.
But Epel says, "That's just it! Why don't I get one that's all knightly like yours? Or one that's mature and gentlemanly like Rook's? His outfit's all sleek and cool…"
"Merci, Epel! But there is only one person in this world capable of doing justice to your charming attire—you," Rook says, "Your shorts poof out in a way that evokes an apple! I think it's quite fitting for you."
"You do?" Epel asks.
Deuce agrees, "I agree. Only you could pull off a cool look like that. I say wear it with confidence!"
Epel soon smiles, "...Yeah, maybe I will! Thanks guys. I feel a lot better now! And I'll have to make sure to brag about it to Vil later, heh heh."
"Everyone looks so perfect. It's like our clothes were coordinated by an intimate acquaintance. Beauté, one and all," Rook says. He then turns to Azul, "In fact... Did you change your glasses, Azul? Your gold frames are most elegant."
"Very observant, Rook. The frame and lenses were provided as part of my attire. They knew my glasses prescription—which is a tad disconcerting, admittedly," Azul says.
The Vice President says, "I'm glad to see you all like your gifts. Now you can really get the full Fleur City experience!"
"Thank you for the outfits," Briar says.
"I agree. Briar looks really beautiful in the outfit," Sereia says.
"Yeah. Your outfit looks really elegant and you can dance freely in it," Tanzanite says.
"Thank you, you all look great too," Briar says.
Rollo then says, "Yes, yes, very good. On to exploring, then," As he covers his mouth with his handkerchief. He then says, "There's much to see in Fleur City—far more than time will allow, in fact."
"Absolutely! There's going to be a show at the festival this evening. I'd highly recommend seeing it," The vice president says.
Rollo uses his handkerchief to cover his mouth again and mutters, "...Hmph, the festival. We have even less time, then."
