Emma threw her coffee cup to the trash before she entered the shop. The bell rang, Mr Clark stopped counting the daily income and welcomed the sheriff. Emma just nodded and immediately went ahead for the one thing that was she looking for. Long time ago, when she needed that thing it was between the tampons and pads. As she was walking next to the shelfs, she was looking at the goods. Toothpastes, shower gels, shampoos, Emma tried to seem really confident. She didn't want to speak with Mr. Clark.

As she went to the last line, she was thinking what name would Henry choose if this mission would be an operation? Operation Pregnancy Test? Too obvious. Operation Baby? No way, too easy too.

Mr. Clark obviously asked Emma if he could help her, but the sheriff just told him, she finally found what she was looking for. Luckily it was the truth. The last line with the last shelf, definitely between the tampons and the pads. Emma sighed and started thinking about which one is the perfect. In the Storybrooke drug store there were only three types of pregnancy tests. Emma had no idea which one was the best. She was thinking maybe she should buy three of each or three of one type. Suddenly she heard a familiar voice from her back.

"Do you need help?" It was Kathryn. Her father's "ex-wife" from the first curse.

"Kathryn! What a surprise! What are you doing here?" Emma asked confusedly. Her face looked like if Kathryn caught her in a serious crime.

Kathryn started laughing.

"Well, I'm doing what others do in a drug store." She said. "Buying things."

Emma laughed too, like that sentence would be the most hilarious one in the world.

"And you?" Kathryn asked. "Are you looking for pregnancy tests?"

"Yes." Emma said, but after she saw Kathryn's face with a smirk on it, she continued: "But not for me, not for me. One of my friends asked me to buy her one."

"Oh, okay, then I feel sorry for your friend." Kathryn started laughing again. "Sorry, I didn't want to be rude, I just realized I never want a child."

"No worries. When I had a baby, I immediately gave it to the Evil Queen, I understand you." Emma grinned.

"Anyway, I was serious, I can help you. Once I also had to do a pregnancy test." She took one from the shelf. "As I remember this one shows the results after three minutes. The other one in the blue box can be used ten days after the conception. Or inversely… Sorry it was almost two years ago." said Kathryn.

"It's okay. Maybe I will buy one of each type and my friend can choose." answered Emma and grabbed the tests one after the other.

"Yes, so she can be sure about the results." Kathryn nodded.

"I'm sorry ladies. I'm really glad you have fun, but this is a quiet place, please don't bother the other customers." Mr Clark told them. Emma and Kathryn looked at each other with a meaningful smile, there was no other customer in the store.

When Mr Clark went back to the cash register Emma thanked Kathryn for her help. She needed other stuff besides the pregnancy test, so she went for a toothpaste, makeup remover and a chocolate for her son. There were too many things for her two hands so when she arrived at the cashier and tried to take out her money, she just accidentally dropped everything.

"Bloody hell." She sighed and bent down for the tests and the other stuff.

"Wait, sister, I'll help." It was Leroy.

For one second Emma was in shock. Leroy was the biggest gossipmonger of the town. If he knows about the pregnancy test, everybody knows about the pregnancy tests. Emma took a deep breath, she collected everything from the floor except one test, which was closer to Leroy so the dwarf just picked it up. Emma took a deep breath, looked at Leroy with an angelic smile.

"Thank you." She said and grabbed the test from Leroy's hand. Leroy obviously realized what was in the blue box and Emma saw on his face, he was surprised.

The Savior didn't care about him, just went to Clark and put everything down on the cashier's table. Clark slowly started to scan the barcodes, Emma tried to be really patient.

"Excuse me, sheriff, can I have a question?" Leroy stopped behind her back. "Your mother… Is she pregnant again?"

"Oh no! Another pregnancy means another witch or demon or whatever. The Charming's kids are always in danger, especially when they are newborns." Stated Mr Clark terrified.

"Please could you just stop?" Emma was outraged. "No, my mom is not pregnant and I hoped I could go shopping without World War III breaking out."

"Well sorry if I care about the woman whom I protected for years back in the Enchanted Forest." said Leroy.

Emma didn't answer, she just pulled two twenties from her back pocket.

"I think it will be too much." Mr Clark looked at the money.

"Keep the change. Or buy discreteness from it." Emma collected the things and went to the exit. Her hands were full, she couldn't open the door, but Kathryn appeared next to her and helped.

"I think you spend too much time with the mayor." shouted Leroy after her.

– – – – –

Regina was sitting in her office, in front of her table and staring at a paper. She tried to read the same sentence at least three times but always lost focus. It was a public complaint about somebody, named Peter Peter, who had a too noisy pumpkin farm. Regina didn't know who this guy with that ridiculous name was and she either didn't know how on earth can a pumpkin farm be too noisy. But the people who lived next to it wanted to close the whole farm. In addition there was a woman, who suggested the mayor to close Peter Peter also. People in Storybrooke can be really dramatic sometimes.

"I don't want to bother you with details. But I wasn't afraid of ogres and the giant, as I was afraid in that bloody store." Emma didn't say hi, just walked to Regina's table and put the tests down on her table.

"I told you." Regina said and waved with her hand. Now the door of her office is finally closed. Emma forgot about it, again.

"Anyway, you're welcome."

Regina rolled her eyes.

"Do you know how to use it?" Emma looked down at the tests.

"No, but I think if you found out when you were 18 maybe I can too."

Emma smiled and nodded.

"Okay, go ahead."

Regina sighed.

"Why do I need to do this if I'm a hundred percent sure that I can't be…?"

Emma didn't let her finish the sentence.

"We already talked about it. Your symptoms are signs of pregnancy and if you are not you can tell me you told it."

Emma believed they were over on this conversation. She tried to persuade Regina to do a pregnancy test for days. Regina had nausea, she threw up a lot and after Henry also started to worry about her, Emma told her she needed a doctor or at least a pregnancy test. Regina said if she went to the drug store, everybody would make jokes about her. She didn't want to be ridiculous. That was the reason why Emma bought the tests. The sheriff didn't want to tell her she was right. If Leroy saw her in the store, he would make a greater scandal.

Regina took with her the three pregnancy tests and went to the bathroom. Emma poured herself a glass of water and layed down on the sofa and started reading her messages on her phone. David wrote to her, asked about having lunch at Granny's and the other text was from Killian. He sent a photo of himself and wrote: The sea is beautiful, I am thinking about you. Emma giggled. She has to explain to him the difference between front camera and rear camera. Almost fifteen minutes later Regina was still in the bathroom. Emma went after her and knocked on the toilet's door.

"Are you alright?"

"No." Regina answered. Her voice was almost a whisper.

"Did you get the results?" Emma asked, but she definitely knew the answer. She was pregnant.

"Yes." Regina came out from the toilet and washed her hands at the sink.

"Regina." Emma started speaking, but Regina interrupted her.

"If you wanted to speak about happiness, hope and unicorns, please don't even start."

"I'm not my mother." Emma answered.

"This is impossible, Emma, I can't be pregnant. I drank that damn potion years ago. That was the reason why I adopted Henry."

"I know." Emma heard about that potion almost a hundred times. "But we already went through more shocking things. Not just here in Storybrooke. When I was living in New York, I saw my fiance turned into a flying monkey!"

Regina sighed.

"This is just a baby. It'll be like Henry." Emma said calmly.

"Yes, and when he or she asks me about the father I'll answer: "Well, honey, he is living with his wife in New York. He doesn't even know you exist."

"Maybe you should tell Robin." Emma knew the situation was not perfect, but she was hundred percent sure Robin would return if Regina told him.

"No. We said goodbye to each other, it was the end. He has a life, he has a family." Regina answered quickly.

"That was not the end. He is the father, Regina. He has the right to know about it."

"Marian can't come back. You know it." Regina said.

"It's not about Marian."

"I can't ask him to leave his family behind and be with me, just because I got pregnant by accident, Emma."

"By accident? Robin didn't know what he was doing could lead to a child? He is an adult."

"Do you think I didn't mention the potion to him?" Regina raised her eyebrows.

"Whatever you said to him, he cheated on his wife with you. He has to take responsibility."

"The situation is more difficult, Emma." Regina answered. "Life is so cruel, maybe I got everything that I wanted, but not how I wanted."

"Maybe this is your happy ending, Regina. You can decide if you share the news with Robin, but if you do not… This child will have a really big family. We already have a son whose father was a loser, we are professionals."
