A/N: Yes, it's happening. I couldn't resist giving ItN the Remake treatment, esp since the game is so freakin' GOOD. I really thought the SH franchise was dead up until this point. I feel like I'm seventeen again!

I'll be posting chapter 1 as soon as I finish the game (I am at the prison...and suffering).

"The fear of blood tends to create fear for the flesh."

Fear is an interesting thing.

The presence of it is enormously unpleasant. We sweat, we get the shakes, our hearts pound, our brains go into a primal state of fight or flight.

When the danger passes, though, the sheer relief is intoxicating—enough so that in our human arrogance, we've commodified the cycle, made a game out of an evolutionary response meant to keep us alive. We've become desensitized. The things shifting in the shadows are dismissed as paranoia from an overactive imagination.

The reality is that beneath the veil of our limited perception, the world is full of monsters.

What happens when it's not a game anymore?
