By now, it has been over 3 Months since Gojiras Rampage. In that time, he had been sighted several times, but Gojira must have calmed down, as he hadn't attacked a City. Gojira had been sighted first in New Orleans, where he harmlessly passed through the Gulf Coast, and disappeared off the coast of Florida, specifically Pensacola. From there, he would disappear for the next day before once again off the shores of the Dominican Republic , and would vanish for yet again another day before being discovered off the Coast of Barbados. Gojira would come ashore, briefly, at St Vincent, but didn't cause any damage as he just slept on the coast.
From there, over the course of the next week, Gojira would sail South. Tracking along the coast of Brazil, he briefly made his way into the Amazon river, before returning to the sea and continuing south, eventually being sighted off Rio De Janeiro, Sao Palo and then Montevideo, before making his way into deeper waters. 2 Weeks after his rampage, he would be sighted off the Falkland Islands, before disappearing yet again for another week. The Next Week, he would be sighted off Cape Horn, and then would disappear into the Pacific for 2 Months, until a Few Days Ago, Where Gojira would be sighted again near the Coast of New Zealand. Gojira would not be recorded directly attacking any ships.
After the Battle with Kamoebas, the Turtle-Monster would make his way to Cuba, where, unlike Gojira, he would go on a Rampage in Havana and then return to the sea. This would cause at least 2,600 deaths and cause at least 11,000 injuries. Kamoebas would then head further south, making Landfall in Costa Rica and going into a Hibernation. It appears that Kamoebas does not like being approached, as any times where he was has resulted in the deaths of the offending researchers. Kamoebas has been recorded as being a Harmful and cruel creature, with him regularly torching Costa Rican Forces when Woken up.
Komodithrax, the Komodo-Dragon-Monster, seems to be more inclined as a 'Gojira-Like Monster', she does not seem to go on Rampages, although when she passed by the Vietnamese Coast she would be attacked by a Line of Vietnamese Artillery, this resulted in the Mountain being partially melted, and Komodithrax since has been sighted off the coast of Alaska, she recently made landfall and has made her way into the wilderness.
Another Monster has been sighted in Oklahoma city, following Gojiras Rampage what appeared to be a Massive Dromaeosaur surfaced in the city, it appeared to be weaker than Gojira, and smaller, being around 35 Feet tall. It was recorded as heading east and has been sighted tentatively in the woodlands of Appalachia. Some searches have been conducted, although nothing has come up and it's been abandoned as of recently. Some speculate that 'Jira' is actually trying to nest, although no other specimens of the species have been found leading to the idea that Jira reproduces through Parthenogenesis. If this is the case, then eliminating Jira and any potential offspring is utmost priority.
However, since the Gojiran Rampage, The UN Has created a Division dedicated to the Discussion and study of these monsters. The United Nations Gojira Countermeasures Center, or U.N.G.C.C has been founded by the UN and is dedicated to the Study as to what are now called 'Kaiju'. They were named Kaiju after a suggestion from Doctor Serizawa, and that's what they would come to be known by. The UNGCC would be tasked with the construction of multiple offices and have a Humanitarian Branch related to Kaiju-Activities, unfortunately, the offices would take time to be built, and the UNGCC would for now be operating off a Floor in the UN Building in New York.
The UNGCC, would ultimately be made up of a Council of Members, including Doctor Serizawa, some other officials, biologists and Physicists. The UNGCC would also be given some vehicles, assets and other helpful stuff from member nations of the UN to help better respond to disasters and coordinate resources within the organization. The UNGCC would be given a RnD branch to eventually develop proper Countermeasures and weapons to deal with offending Kaiju. The Planned Headquarters of the UNGCC is in Dallas, Texas.
Speaking of Dallas and the affected Cities, the US Economy had been plummeting over the past few months. Losing a populated area like this and billions of dollars worth of infrastructure was never a good thing, and with some less than good management by the President it was no surprise that this had happened. No Reconstruction had been initiated in the affected areas, and the UNGCC HQ in Dallas would be built in the area where former homes were located. This had caused a great deal of backlash, and given that the UNGCC would be the only new infrastructure to be built in the path of Gojira many questions would be raised, many of which would evolve to be conspiracy theories.
Of course, for now RnD and the HQ were the future, the reality now was that the UNGCC was terribly un-equipped to handle any Kaiju attacks currently. The only weapons the UNGCC had were basic vehicles, some APCS and scientific equipment. It would be years before any proper UNGCC weapons could be created to counter Gojira or any other Monster, besides perhaps Jira the UNGCC was even more defenseless than the military itself. The UNGCCs role, for now, was regulated to tracking the Monsters, and also doing humanitarian work. Even the UNGCC had hardly the resources to even do that however, and they were already overstretched dealing with everything.
It would be a really, really bad time for anything to Happen that involved Kaiju.
New York City, United Nations building, UNGCC Floor.
The Floor was a Mess, Chairs were bunched up against the walls and the Hastily assembled tables were arranged in a Semi-circle, with a Television screen displayed where they were all facing. The Banner of the UNGCC was displayed in the center of the arrangement, and behind the tables sat the officials of the UNGCC.
This, of course, included and a host of other individuals, many of which had either been in the attacks first hand or were affected or proficient in the entire thing. Of course, they had sifted through the wreckage of Dallas and Oklahoma city as Well as Beaumont looking for any stray flesh, scales or even teeth. They had analyzed Gojiras Flesh and determined from the fragments that most of his body was made up of elements formerly considered unknown on the Periodic Table. This had led to 'Gojirinite' being classified as a new element on the periodic table, and the UNGCC has classified the Kaiju by number, Gojira being 001, Komodithrax being 002 and Kamoebas being 003.
Serizawa had been immensely stressed over the last few days, everyone wanted to know what Komodithrax was doing in Alaska, no one could think of any other reason that Komodithrax was going north, the natural habitat of the Komodo Dragon was all the way in Indonesia. They had also tracked Gojira and it seemed he too was moving Northward, his most recent sightings putting him, supposedly, near the coast of Guam, some course projections they ran through supercomputers predicted either he would make landfall in either Japan or Siberia, and the Governments of Japan and Russia were already constantly knocking on their door whether the unstoppable Lizard would make landfall in either country, and Serizawa was already dealing with enough.
Then there was the Matter of Kamoebas, what was he doing? He was hibernating, albeit shallowly, in the Jungles of Costa Rica. Some had suspected he was evolving, although that would have likely happened by now. He had concluded, in Conjunction with the rest of UNGCC, that Kamoebas was just sleeping, although they had no idea for how long. Some suggested that Kamoebas might be hibernating due to him waiting for mating season, although no other Turtle Kaijus were present.
Serizawa had just gotten off a call with General Packard, who was under investigation, supposedly, for corruption and embezzling money. He didn't have anything to make of the allegations, that wasn't his profession, but supposedly UNGCC funding had been secured for the next 4 years. He wasn't fully happy with his new position though, as the Military had taken a lot of his researchers to work on the Oxygen Destroyer Project. He knew a Couple of other military DoD Contractors were also working on a Military Weapon, although it was classified to the general public he himself knew about it, It was a Mechanized-Version of Gojira, dubbed by the Ceo of One of the Companies developing it lovingly as 'Mecha-Jira'. He had no opinion on it, perhaps it could work and perhaps it couldn't, time would tell.
He heard a Distinct noise, footsteps, followed by the opening of a Door. It was Dr. Brody, one of the few researchers not to be shoved onto the Oxygen Destroyer Projects. He had been hoping that the UNGCC would have the Oxygen Destroyer Project under its Command, but it was not to be as they hadn't been given permission to work on the project, and gave it to a newly created government division.
"Good evening." Brody said, and he just nodded. Everyone took their seats, about 25 of them in all.
"Let's get this over with." The Head of the UNGCC said, that would be Dr. Morales, he had been a part of the Mutagen team too, although he was shuffled before the Gojira incident. The Head of the UNGCC would eventually get his title when it had formed, mostly thanks to the fact he had been the one calling for its creation. It was inevitable that an Organization like the UNGCC be formed, of course, but being the one asking for it had its perks.
"We've been tracking Gojira Northwest over the past few days. Based on his Trajectory he won't be making Landfall in Mainland Honshu at least." One of the UNGCC Officials said, clearing his throat, "We have ruled out landfall in the Southern Japanese Islands and Korea, as well as China."
"That's good." Serizawa said, "We need to make sure Gojira stays clear of Populated Areas, I mean could you imagine if he came ashore in Tokyo?" He said, one of the officials next to him Shuddered, the thought of him entering the most populated metro area in the world filled them all with dread. It was their goal, and duty, to make sure such a scenario never happened.
"Let's hope that stays Imagination." Brody said, "Either well, we have had trouble doing the calculations for Gojiras Atomic Reactor, although it's almost certainly fusion we don't have a good idea of how he maintains a Net-Positive during the reaction."
Suddenly, someone rushed into the room. It was one of the assistants, although they did hold some rank in the UNGCC.
"Sir, Sir, you gotta see this!" The assistant said, handing the head of the UNGCC a Tablet. The UNGCC Leader suddenly stared in shock at whatever it was displaying. Evidently, Serizawa could tell something was wrong almost immediately. He could read the expression of the UNGCC head pretty well, he had known for a while after all, and he knew what his 'Shocked' Look was.
"Mackanzie, is this true?" Morales said, Mackenzie nodded, and there was some clamor from the UNGCC officials in the room.
"Morales, tell me…what is it you're seeing?" Serizawa heard Brody say, and Morales sighed, putting the Tablet down and starting to speak.
"Well, I don't know how to put this bluntly, but 2 New Kaiju have surfaced." Morales said, and there was a collective gasp from most of the others.
"Where are they?" Serizawa said, Morales plugged the Tablet into The Machine, and after finicking with some buttons the Screen of the Tablet was transferred to that of the TV at the head of the room. Instantly, a Map of the World was displayed, including the known locations of some monsters. A 2 Green Icons were on the Map, K-002 and K-003, Komodithrax and Kamoebas in Alaska and Central America Respectfully. There was a Gray Dot, in the Northwest Corner of the Pacific, that being Gojira, marked gray since it wasn't completely known where he was. That was when he noticed the other dots, 2 Orange Ones. One was in Northwest Mexico, the other one was in Svalbard.
"2 of them." Morales repeated, "The One in Mexico is Avian, the one in Svalbard is Snakelike, Mexico takes priority as it is over a more populated area."
"How soon can we get the military over Mexico?" He asked.
"Mexico has already sent in their own units, they are making contact as we speak, the US Military has already offered assistance," Morales Said, pausing before speaking again. "As for the one in Svalbard, we just need to hope."
Province of Chihuahua, Mexico.
Rodan hadn't ever been this powerful before, before he had just been a Small Being, a Bird, a Small Hawk that had been trying to find his way. Thanks to whatever that liquid was, from that strange building, he was now a Giant. A True Bird of Prey, Worthy of his name as 'Demon of Terror and Fire'.Much Like Gojira, he had absorbed information from people when he ate them, and thanks to that, he actually knew what Gojira was, given Gojira was world news basically everywhere now, whoever he had eaten was obviously up to date. Rodan was obviously going to make it to the same amount of Fame, a Flying Bird with invincible scales. Rodan had already destroyed some small amounts of Mexican Forces in the Suburbs of Chihuahua, and now he flew over the city itself.
Rodan, unlike Gojira, had a Much Weaker military to deal with. Gojira had dealt with the strongest military in the World, while Rodan didn't. So when Rodan ended up evolving to the level he did, he was met with far less resistance. Rodan now landed on a Building near the Center of the city, what looked like an Office Building, he perched on it, the building creaked under the Weight of the Kaiju, who dug his claws deep into the frame of the building. It shuddered as some of the windows broke, and Rodan watched as Glass Cascaded down the side of the building. He could hear the oncoming Jets, which were approaching from the South. He could also Hear the Aircraft approaching from the North, that being the US Armed Forces. With a Heave, Rodan Lifted himself into the air and flew northwards, back across the smoking trail of destruction he caused. As he headed north into the Deserts and Towards New Mexico he came across the US Air Force Detachment sent to deal with him. Rodan screeched as a Missile struck him, the explosion not damaging but surprising him. Rodan, now angered, let a Fireball loose, clipping a USAF C-130s Wing and ripping it off. He Watched as the Downed plane spiraled into the Mexican Landscape, and Rodan now flew towards one of the F-15s. The Plane quickly nosedived towards the ground as one of Rodans Fireballs raced past it, striking a Small Mountain and blowing a Chunk of it off. Rodan followed the plane, flying now at Supersonic Speeds. He eventually caught up to the F-15, he ensared the Fighter in his Talons, he felt one of the planes Missiles strike him harmlessly, and Rodan tore the Plane in his Talons Apart as he quickly turned towards the Opposing Aircraft that dared to fire on him. Rodan, with anger, beat his wings so hard that the Rush of Air de-stabilized the aircraft, and he flew straight into it. He felt the craft explode against his now fiery scales, and what remained of it fell to the ground. He could hear more Craft approaching him, from the US. He flew across the border, the sheer size of him Generated Shockwaves that whipped up a Small Sandstorm behind him, and he quickly saw the US Forces, about Half a Dozen A-10s. He produced a Fireball that directly impacted the Lead Plane, the Explosion generated completely destroying the aircraft and reducing it to Smoldering Shrapnel, The Other Planes broke off and began to surround him, Rodan, sensing that they were going to do a Multi-Directional Attack, Banked hard to his left. He Flew straight into another Aircraft, the A-10 exploded, followed by him quickly turning, and given that he could outturn the A-10s he had no troubles picking them off. He repeated the process, occasionally being hit by the Harmless Missile before, eventually, There was just one Plane Left. He watched as the A-10 quickly began to move away in an attempt to flee and Evade Rodan. It was an Obviously a Futile Attempt as the A-10 was an overall slow and Unagile aircraft, Rodan flew after it as the plane flew low to the ground, the aircraft, now moving at its top speed, was making some Risky Maneuvers around the mountains of New Mexico.
Rodan, Giving Chase, made the same maneuvers, and as he closed the Jet flew low over a Highway, Rodan, chasing after him, passed over the highway, the sheer speed and size of Rodan Rocked the Structure, blowing out Car Windows and Causing Car alarms, Rodan caught up to the jet and bit down the rear, biting it off and letting go. He watched as the A-10, now without proper control, began to spiral down and hit a Small Patch of Bushes, exploding it and setting it on Fire.
Rodan, now quite happy with his victory, flew to the Nearby Town of Roswell, landing on a Office Building near the Center of the City, the building too shifted under his weight, and as he dug his Talons in he heard the Structure make terrible Noises as its frame creaked, he could see some people gathering below, gasping, while some more sensible individuals ran. He looked at those who stood, and breathed a Stream of Fire at them, he watched, curiously, as they burned.
He roared, spreading his wings in victory, then he pushed himself off the building and flew into the air, the force of it finally doing in the office building and causing it to collapse, spreading a Cloud of Dust Around it.
UNGCC Floor.
With Horror, the UNGCC Officials watched as the buildings were destroyed by Rodan, his fiery wings sweeping over roswell, spreading flames over the Historic New Mexican City.
"God." Serizawa said.
"Huh?" Someone else asked.
"Gods." Serizawa said, his tone became Dark and Low, and the words sounded more ominous. "Many Religions, Cultures, and even societies have Deities they worship. These are Gods, beings beyond human Control, Unstoppable to Man yet in Casual Existence." He paused for a brief moment, looking at the fires spreading around Roswell onscreen, the Fiery Eagle now leaving the City and heading Southwest. "Rodan, Gojira, Komodithrax, Kamoebas…They to us are the Real Gods, we cannot Kill them, try as we might, even though they are our own creation, a Consequence of our Greed and willingness for war." Serizawa finished.
"That's all well and Good, but we need to focus on studying this guy." Brody said, "This guy is flying around the Mainland US, and we need to be aware if he gets within a Hundred Miles of any Populated areas."
Serizawa nodded, but as he looked at the Map of the Current Kaiju he couldn't help but notice Gojira was still gray, when Gojira inevitably made landfall, what would they do?
Pray, that's all they could do.
