The next morning, Marinette woke up and then she went downstairs to have breakfast with her mother who was doing the dishes, Marinette spoke
"Mom, do you know where my suitcase is?" Marinette asked
"What for dear?" Sabine asked as she turned around to look at her daughter
"With what's happening I would like to leave Paris and go and travel the world and learn new culture and designs." Marinette said
"And, uh, what about money?" Tom asked as he walked through the door
"I'll sell the designs I make." Marinette said
"Okay, we'll let you go but you'll have to contact us from every country you visit." Tom said
"That is if they have a phone signal." Marinette said as she ran up to her bedroom while her parents watched her
"18 years old and she's already exploring the world." Sabine said
"Our girl is growing up too fast." Tom said
"She even has a fiancee as well." Tom said
"I remember when Marinette came running into the bakery with the biggest smile on her face as she showed us the ring on her finger as she said that Adrien proposed to her." Sabine said
"That was only two years ago, I thought I would have more time with my little girl before she leaves the nest." Tom said as Sabine put her hand on his shoulder
Upstairs in Marinette's room
Marinette was running around her room picking up the clothes she needed for her trip
"Should I pack my winter clothes?" Marinette asked as she looked at her winter gear
"You should especially since you Ladybug tendencies you have gotten from the earrings." Tikki said
"Heavy winter gear it is." Marinette said as she packed it into her bag then she stared at her summer clothes
"Might as well pack my sexy swimsuit." Marinette said as she put her pink bikini in her bag then she put in her ladybug printed bikini as well
"Aien't you dating Adrien, so why are you putting those in?" Tikki asked
"So I can send photos of me wearing them to Adrien while I'm on holiday and I want to get a tan." Marinette said
Marinette put normal clothes into her bag and she even put her shoes into her bag as well, once she was done she walked over to where she hid the miracle box and took out
"It would be suspicious if I put it in my bag." Marinette said
"Where are you going to put?" Tikki asked
"I don't know." Marinette said then she closed her eyes to think of something then a few seconds later the miracle box started glowing shocking the kwamis
"Could it be possible that Marinette is the one." Wayzz said
"She could be." Tikki said as the Miracle box shrank down into a smaller size perfect for a piece of string to go through the hole that formed on top, when Marinette opened her eyes she saw that the Miracle box got smaller and fit into her hand
"It got smaller." Marinette said as she examined the smaller Miracle box
"Now you can wear it as a necklace so no one will be able to find it or steal it from you." Tikki said
Marinette walked over to her desk where she pulled out a gold chain then she put it through the hole, once she was done she put the necklace on and then hid it under her shirt with her Kwagatama
"Now that's sorted let's finish packing and let's head to the airport." Marinette said
"You can use my Miraculous to get to the temple faster." Kallki said
"I know, I just don't want any photos or videos of me transforming since they will know it's Ladybug." Marinette said then she looked at the kwamis
"All right you guys, back into the miracle box until we have arrived at the temple." Marinette said as she lifted the miracle box out of her shirt then the kwamis went inside one by one, once they were all in the miracle box, Marinette put it back into her shirt then she picked up her bag and walked downstairs where her parents were waiting for her
"Have you planned where you are going?" Sabine asked
"Nope I'm going to be like a nomad and travel the world and learn new things and culture and if I'm in China, I'll visit Uncle Cheng, and hopefully during my travels, I would run into Grandma Gina." Marinette said which made Tom hug Marinette tightly
"I can't believe my little girl is going to travel the world on her own." Tom said
"Don't worry Dad, I'll send you a cookbook of different baked goods from different cultures you can try for the shop." Marinette said
"Thank you for doing that for me Marinette." Tom said as he broke the hug then Sabine walked over holding Marinette's passport
"Call us when you land wherever you are visiting." Sabine said as she handed Marinette's passport to her, Marinette put her passport into her purse then she hugged her parents for the final time then Marinette ran downstairs where she got onto her motorbike after she tied her bag tight then she started it up then she put her helmet on then she speeds off towards the airport
While driving through the streets of Paris, Marinette saw flaming piles of Ladybug merch on the side of the road which made her tear up as Ladybug is now a disgrace to the city of Paris so she continued driving to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
When Marinette arrived at the airport she put her bike into the parking lot then she took her helmet off where Marinette put it away under her seat, Marinette then unlatched her bag from her bike then she walked inside the airport where she went over to the self-checkout where she paid for a ticket to Shanghai China
A few minutes later, Marinette went through the airport security and did the regular security checks, once that was done Marinette walked to her gate where she waited until her gate was called and when it did, Marinette showed her boarding pass which then she walked towards her seat on the plane where she sat down
A few hours later, Marinette arrived in Shanghai
Marinette collected her bags then she left the airport and got a taxi in perfect Chinese she asked to go to her Uncle's restaurant.
The taxi arrived at Uncle Cheng's restaurant, Marinette paid her taxi fare and picked her bags up then she walked inside where Uncle Cheng and Fei looked up to see Marinette standing there
"My dear niece, your mother told me that you are traveling the world." Cheng said
" I want to learn new things while I'm traveling." Marinette said
"You must be exhausted during your flight coming here so why don't you go to your room that I have set up for you." Cheng said
"Thank you, Uncle." Marinette said as she walked to her room where she put her bag on the table then she sat on the bed and took her shoes off then she laid down on the bed, and fell asleep when her head hit the pillow
Next day in Paris
Just before the sun rose in Paris, Chrysalis and her akumatized army exited her hideout and walked through the streets of Paris
"Spread out and take over a section of Paris." Chrysalis said the akumatized went in different directions where they took over a place and created their hideout when the sun rose over Paris, the city was now under the akumatized control. A magical wall appeared on the outskirts of Paris locking the city down so none of the akumatized could leave the city and the airport that Marinette was at not that long ago canceled all flights from leaving or arriving in the city.
When the citizens of Paris exited their homes they were transformed into Darkblade Knights, Pharoah's mommies, or turned into a Refelkta except for Team Miraculous who quickly hid so they don't get spotted by any of the Akumatized.
Team Miraculous all meet up at an abandoned warehouse to discuss how to take Paris back without their Miraculous and that's when they see they were missing Cat Noir, Ryuko, and Argos
"Where's Cat Noir, Ryuko and Argos?" Rose asked
"Kagami and Felix left Paris with Adrien to live in Paris after what happened." Nino said
"Then where's Cat Noir?" Rose asked
"He's possibly still disappointed with Ladybug keeping a massive secret from him that he could have left Paris as well." Alya said
"So we don't have a leader or 3 other Miraculous holders." Zoe said
"Then who's going to be our leader since Ladybug is now a disgrace to Paris and has left?" Ivan asked
"Since I have been a hero longer than you guys and have more experience I nominate myself as Leader of Team Miraculous." Alya said
"We support you Alya." Team Miraculous said which made Alya smile
"Okay, the first order of business is to gather which akumatized has taken over what part of the city and what how much stronger they are and also see what minions they have with them this time." Alya said
"Markov and I can gather information on where the Akumatized has set up bases." Max said
"Good work Max." Alya said then she faced the others who looked away
"You know if we don't defeat the akumatized then there won't be a Paris left for us to live in anymore." Alya said
"Alya, what are we going to do with the akumatized once they have been defeated? We don't have Ladybug's cleansing cure to cleanse the akumatized?" Mylene asked
"We will capture their akumas in glass jars and wait for Ladybug to return so she can cleanse them." Alya said
"That could take years for her to return." Juleka said
"Then we need to bring her home much faster and that's to show her what's happening to the city of Paris." Alya said
"There is a slight problem with that plan Alya." Max said
"What do you mean there's a problem?" Alya asked
"All signal is blocked off from leaving Paris." Max said
"How can you tell we not getting any signal from outside of Paris?" Kim asked
"Look at your phones and do see any signal coming through." Max said
Team Miraculous pulled out their phones and when they did they saw they had no signal
"You are right Max we ain't getting any signal coming in." Alya said
"Looks like we won't be able to contact any heroes outside of Paris so it looks like we are on our own in this city." Alya said which made Nino smile as he had an idea
"It looks like the Resistance is reborn again ever since Gabriel was defeated by Ladybug all those years ago." Nino said
"Should we look for survivors out in Paris so they can join our resistance and help us take back the city." Ivan said
"Yes we should but we need to do it carefully so we don't get spotted by any of the akumatized that are out in the city." Nino said then he put his fist out then the others also pounded their fist
"Team Miraculous is back and the Resistance is reborn again." Team Miraculous said
Over in Shanghai
Marinette enjoyed having breakfast with her Uncle and Fei
"Where will you be going today, Marinette?" Fei asked
"I'm only staying here for a night then I'll be off and explore the world so after breakfast I'll be leaving." Marinette said
"I have packed you a bag full of food so you won't be going hungry during your journey." Cheng said
"Thank you, Uncle." Marinette said as she finished her breakfast up then she went back to her bedroom where she repacked her bag then she picked up her bag then she exited her bedroom and gave her Uncle and Fei a hug then she exited the restaurant and started to walk towards Nepal where the Guardian Temple is located
