Day 15 "Let's try this"
As Sharon is struggling with being off due to her cardiac problems, Andy tries to find something to keep her busy

as if life was not busy enough with ... life (studies, work, being a friend/mom/wife..) lol , kiddo and I are sick. Holala can we create a 2h a day off just to enjoy the magic of fanfiction ?!

A big thanks to TheShadowsEdge who helped with the idea (but the grammar and faults are all mine, oh yeah ahaha)

Yoga for the mind

"What's this?" asked Sharon as she peaked into the big Michaels bag Andy had just brought.

"That, my Dear, is to keep you from going insane while you stay home." responded Andy with a crooked grin and smile in his eyes.

"Well, good luck with that." She muttered. She was so bored, it actually stressed her out to think about how to spend her next few weeks of sick leave. She had never stayed home without anything to do. She had worked her whole life and only took off when she had her kids. Six weeks, alone, taking care of a baby is anything but restful. Of course, over the years, she took holidays. When she did, she rarely, if ever, stayed home. She would visit her family, go skiing or go to Gavin's condo on the beach. These few last years, since Rusty came to live with her, she had not even taken holidays. She didn't know how to relax anymore. She doubted she ever knew how.

"Oh well, we need to at least try." He said, taking balls of wool and cotton out the bag, followed by a bag with several hooks from different sizes and an US8 circular knitting needle. " I imagine that a woman from High Society like you knows how to use these."

She took the circular needle in her hand and enjoyed the cold feeling of the blend of metal and plastic that was forming the string. "I've never seen anything like that." She said, continuing to admire the needles.

"The lady at the store said it's what's best nowadays. Since I wasn't sure which was your favorite, I took both.» he told her with a loving smile, talking about the crochet and knitting needles. He took her hand closest to him and kissed it. Once, then twice then peppered it with kisses moving up her wrist and arm.

«Oh Andy, you sweet sweet man.» she said with delight as he finally reached her neck. She ran her hands around his back and pulled him over, finding his lips with a sight and forgetting all about knitting and crocheting.

The next day, as Andy arrived home, he was surprised to hear the tv through the door. Sharon wasn't much of a fan of it. She watched the news, sometimes the sports channel but rarely let it on for a long period of time. Come to think about it, she had not texted him today. That was weird. She usually tried to sneak her way into their investigation. He opened the door a bit worried but broke in laughter as soon as he saw her.

Watching a rerun of Girlmore Girls, sitting crossed legs on the sofa, she was partially hidden by the long blanket she was knitting. Her glasses had slipped down her nose. A cup of tea was sitting on the coffee table. And, he would never tell her that, but her roots were showing. She wasn't wearing any make up, letting him appreciate her freckles and fair soft skin. Oh she looked every one of her 57 years at that moment and his heart swelled with love. Before she got a chance to move, he sneaked a pic with his phone.

"Hello Sweetheart."He called softly as he was taking his shoes off, not wanting to surprise her especially with her heart condition.

She turned around and smiled brightly. « Hi you. » it was an invitation enough and he moved to join her on the sofa. They talked a bit about his days, about hers. He was surprised to hear her voice that she did not even get bored, that she loved knitting, that it felt like yoga for the mind. He was impressed seeing her work from up close. She had made intricate patterns that looked hard to do. As he asked her if she felt relaxed and if she wanted him to grab her some more wool, she only laughed and said that she'd rather spend her time with him, making out and enjoying his incredible massages. If it was not possible, well, he might at least bring her some wool, and a book of patterns.
