Chapter 14

While travelling through a time and space, Valerie was going through Bike's console choosing what event she should go and check out next involving River. She had done and seen the time River met up with the 11th Doctor and a young Amy when they all investiaged a ship crash involving the Wheeping Angels "The Wheeping Angels are scary but interesting" Valerie thought to herself.

The events involving the Pandorica were interesting where the Doctor almost sacrifices himself to save the entire Universe. River was trapped in the TARDIS that was about to explode!. She also had seen her quietly attending their parents wedding (Amy and Rory's) before later that night meeting up with the Doctor before she disappears using her whist transportation device. Amy and Rory end up spending the rest of their wedding night with the Doctor travelling in the TARDIS. " I believe this was when River and I were conceived, no wonder we are rathered to as the "Children of the TARDIS"!" Valerie says to Bike.

As she swiped the console looking at which River event to look at next, she couldn't help but notice 2 events that involved 2 other men who called themselves the Doctor. One of them was tall and wore sneakers while the other looked older and wears a suit. Valerie wants to the leave these events for last. She was told by the Doctor that he is the 11th and that he can re-generate. These must be his before or after versions of himself.

Demons Run keeps capturing Valerie's eye. She keeps getting goosebumps with this event as something tells her this is a major event for River. Ths is where Amy needs saving. Could this be when she gives birth to her and River having no knowledge that she was even pregnant leaving the 11th Doctor and Rory finding out they had been travelling with a ganger verison of Amy for months.

Valerie still didn't quite understand was exactly what a "Ganger" was, though she was eager to find out and learn about them but maybe for another time. The Doctor had mentioned them briefly when he told her about his adventure with Amy and Rory to a acid mining factory and the miners were making duplications of themselves that became evil.

"Ok, Demons Run it is!" she says to Bike while biting her lower lip slightly. The reason why Valerie was nervous about this event was because this was when she and River were born. Amy their mother gave birth to twins not even knowing and Valerie was determined to find out what really happened that dark day. She revved up the engines and programmed Bike to enter a time vortex to head to Demons Run an asteroid in the 52th Century.

"Beep, Beep!" the sound of Bike's horn sounded "We must be here!" Valerie cried quietly as she looked around at her dark and dreary surroundings. They had landed on what looked like a military base and was swarming with army soldiers "Perhaps time for an outfit change!" Valerie commanded towards Bike who agreed to her request giving her a more military looking outfit. Bike then disguised itself as a military necklace around her neck.

She begans to walk around and notices many soldiers who look like they are preparing for something. Many of them men and women holding guns and weapons which made Valerie feel nervous. She was beginning to have second thoughts on whether she should be here or not, this was unlike her to be afraid. Normally her courage levels were 100% but something here made her have 50% courage right now.

Valerie saw a ladder fixed to a wall and decided to climb it to get a better view of her surroundings. Walking around the corridors of the military base were busy with soldiers like a shopping strip and she kept getting pushed around. She got to about half way up the ladder when she suddenly hears an almighty scream!. Valerie immediately knew that it sounded like a womens scream.

She looked around and everyone on the ground had heard it too. Something she did notice was that all the soldiers stood still and placed their right hands on their hearts like they were wishing or praying for something. Valerie climbed more of the ladder till she eventually reached the top. The top of the ladder was a landing almost like scaffording that led to another corridor.

She stood on the landing and began to look around seeing if she could identify as to where the scream came from. Valerie then got out a pair of goggles from a pocket in her military trousers. These goggles can track soundwaves and identify were the sound is coming from. They can magically make her see actual sound waves. The goggles brought her memories of the Haunted Mansion Field Trip she took her old class on about a year ago or so. They were learning about sounds & vibrations back then.

Screams began to occur again and Valerie placed the goggles on her face. She began surveillancing the premises for the sound as soon she was able to see the sound waves coming from what looked like a hosptial block. Valerie noticed some ropes and began climbing them to swing herself to one to another in order to get closer to the hospital block. The usual Valerie Frizzle was back as her adventurous verison of herself!.

She swung herself onto a deck/balcony as soon as she landed the sound waves were getting louder and the vibrations were getting bigger "This must be the place where the screams are coming from!" she says to herself. Now the screams were more frequent and now with breathing sounds. This was when it hit Valerie, this is where Amy is being hold captive and is now in labour. Amy was about to give birth!.

Valerie walked around to every window she could find and that were accessible, the rooms looked science and medical like but there was no sign of her mother apart from staff in lab coats. There was even a women who didn't look like she fitted in. She was an older women who looked like she had a serious nature and was wearing an eye patch. She seemed like she was waiting for something, highly possible for the birth.

Valerie hoped that Amy is ok, the sound of her labour screams were piecing to the ear. "Right if i cannot be shown was it happening, then i must come to the show myself!" she says to herself while holding her necklace in which Bike was still disguised as "Bike do you...". As Valerie was about to summon Bike to magically shrink and transform into something to go through walls, she heard voices saying "Its a girl, Baby One Born but the mother has fainted", "QUIET! Even though the mother has fainted she could probably still hear you!".

"Fainted? Amy had fainted during labour? Could this be one of the reasons why she had no knowledge that she had twins?" Valerie quietly whispered to herself, it was time to take action Valerie now really wanted to investigate into what was currently happening. So she demanded Bike to shrink itself and her and become a tiny space ship like vehicle that can go through walls.

Soon she and Bike were the size of a clothes peg. Valerie activated a function to go be able to go through walls. When they got passed wall they flew into a room where two medical staff who looked like nurses were present along with the eye patched lady. Valerie drove Bike onto a nearby table and magically disguised themselves as a tissue box to get a better view in what has happening.

She still could not see Amy but she could see a baby who was being weighed and scanned by a hand held device "This baby is showing time lord genes ma'am" one of the nurses explains to the eye patched lady. The eye patched lady smiled although Valerie could sense that it wasn't a genuine smile. The eye patched lady then answers "Perfect! She will have the destinty to be the perfect weapon for when the time comes! Prepare her to be transported", "But Ma'am the baby needs to be with its mother!" nurse number two says back.

The eye patched lady gave the nurses a stern look "Oh very well but only for a month, training must commence as soon as possible!" she demanded. All Valerie could do was swallow hard, she couldn't believe what she was hearing!. Soon another nurse comes into the room holding baby number two into the room, could this be me? Valerie thought to herself. How did the nurses get baby number two out while Amy had been in the faint status?.

"Its twins!" the third nurse announces, "Yes, well come along haven't got all day, place it on the weights and we will scan it for time lord genes!" the eye patch lady tells the nurse in a stern voice. The nurse places baby number two on the weights and the first nurse scans her. The eye patched lady sticks her nose up "As i thought no time lord genes what so ever! We shall not be needing her!" she informs the nurses.

"But Ma'am what if she shows time lord activity later on in life?" the second nurse asks "The mother cannot know it was twins, is she still unconcious? Good! Wipe her memory about one of them, infact wipe her memory of the current useless one! We will still take her with us for monitoring, if she is no good we will place her in a orphinage!" the eye patched demanded. The nurses looked shocked but were too scared to argue. Valerie was only able to watch and listen in horror.

Why would someone be so cruel to a small child and worse to the mother aswell, wiping her memory of having a twin baby. This hurt and sadden her, Valerie had enough. The Doctor had warned her that it wasn't going to be a walk in the park and that some truths are to be left untouched. Some truths will hurt particularlly when it come to time travel. Next stop a jump ahead to four weeks in the future.
