Blaze doesn't usually like holidays. But now she actually has a girlfriend. She kinda has to enjoy Valentine's Day. Even if this year it's at school. She still hates school even with Amy around. Amy's the only reason she comes. But that doesn't matter. She got Amy a romantic gift. A nice simple gift that she hopes she'll enjoy. Blaze wakes up excited for the new day. Excited for the gifts to give and the gifts to get. She gets ready quickly too, like she can't wait. Maybe she can't, Blaze feels like she might explode with all this excitement in her head.

Amy loves holidays and this isn't much different. Seeing how people react and having a break from the monotony. Plus she has a girlfriend this year! Making Valentine's Day even more special than usual. Amy got Blaze a bunch of gifts. Maybe a bit too many. But she'll make sure Blaze gets them all. They're too too many. It's enough but not too small if anything. Plus it is their first valentines together. Hopefully the first of many between the two. Amy is excited to give all the gifts to her girlfriend.

Blaze gets on her bus with her gift. A small chocolate heart. She hopes Amy likes it. Cream and Marine already gave each other their own gifts. Cream got Marine some homemade chocolate, Marine got Cream a card. That she bought the day before. Cream loves it anyways and Marine apologized profusely to her girlfriend and also won't stop telling Cream how good her chocolate is. Blaze is glad she will get away from them soon. Even if for a bit and then she'll see them again. Hopefully they'll stop being lovey dovey with each other. Maybe she can even get Amy to be lovey dovey with her to get revenge.

Happily Blaze gets off the bus and goes to class. When Blaze arrives at class, she sees Amy. With a lot and I mean a lot of gifts. Almost catatonic at the amount of gifts she sees waiting for her with Amy at Amy's desk.

"Amy?"

"Happy Valentine's Day Blaze!"

Blaze laughs and hugs Amy.

Blaze gives Amy her gift, which she loves. Amy gives Blaze her gift, which she has so many. She can't help but love at least one. But she loves them all, no matter how many. She is still confused about the amount.

"Why did you buy so many of these?"

"Because I love you?"

Blaze laughs again. The rest of class is filled by Blaze trying to fit all the gifts in her bag. While Amy smiles at the scene. The rest of the periods fly by like usual. Then lunch occurs. Where everything can go and will go wrong… for Silver. Which isn't that bad, Blaze will take it. Better than her.

"And that's the 17th person that's rejected me" Silver says crying at the table to the others

"Ever?" Amy asks concerned

"Today" Silver sulks harder and basically curls up into a ball in their chair

"Can't relate." Blaze says.

"Me neither." Cream says.

"Ditto" Marine comments

"Well I can, and I'm sorry for you Silver" Amy says to comfort Silver

"Who rejected you?" Blaze asks angrily.

"A bunch of people, no worries though" Amy says and waves off the concern

"Suddenly I feel sympathetic." Blaze states

"Really?"

"Not to you."

"Aw man"

Music class is nice. Blaze spends it sitting with Amy. Not doing any work.

"So if you press harder then it will shade more on the paper"

"Like this?"

"Yes, exactly! Good job Blaze!"

"Thanks."

Study hall is the same as always for the two. Homework that they have to finish. So you might as well get it out of the way.

"Reduce this"

"Why would I divide that?"

"It's a fraction"

"Why wouldn't I just divide it?"

"The problem doesn't call for that"

"Well why doesn't it?"

Then the final period.

"Now that's the 33rd person"

"You've been rejected by 33 people today?" Tails asks

"Yes" Silver muffled through the table

"You should go for the world record. If they have one for that." Tails says

"Wow thanks for the help"

"I'm being serious, you could manage that."

"Thanks?"

"You're Welcome." Tails goes back to whatever she's doing while Silver wonders if that was actually a compliment or not.

"So, Knuckles, do you have someone special?" Marine asks

"Nope"

"Why not, big guy?" Blaze asks.

"Never had the time to do so" The Echidna shrugs.

"Fair enough." Blaze says.

"How about you Tails?" Amy asks.

"I have a few crushes on some people, but other than that, no."

"Who is it?"

"Not saying."

"C'mon Tails tell us!" Marine says

"Yeah Tails!" Cream says

Tails blushes at the other two girls.

"Nope, maybe later."

"Aw, man" Marine says

"What do they look like?" Amy asks

"Can we talk about something else please?" Tails asks, hiding herself.

"Alright, fair enough, let's leave her alone." Blaze says.

The period continues with talk and hopes of love or the lack thereof for some people (Silver). But the day ends to the sadness of some and to the relief of others (Silver). They walk out back into the real would to go home.

They end the day on the buses like usual. Some things never change. They all go home, then go to eat dinner, go to bed, then go to sleep. It seems Romance is in the air. Maybe more than you think. Even after Valentine's Day. Love is everywhere seemingly. It's still there even if you keep getting rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected and rejected, again and again. You'll be fine, maybe.
