James stood in the kitchen covered in an egg flour mixture. Lily stared in shock.
"What on Earth were you doing, Jimmy?"
He laughed and reached to muss up his hair like usual, only to remember last second what was in his hair. He pouted and looked at his young bride, pregnant with his child. They had only found out at the beginning of the month, but he was psyched. He kept thinking of all the things they would do as a family.
Well…you see Lily Bloom…I was going to make you a cake for your birthday. But it's being trickier than I thought it would be." He said, tugging off his flour dusted spectacles. He looked for a clean spot on his shirt before giving it up as a lost cause and grabbing the tea towel instead and using it to clean his glasses. He put them back on and shot the redhead a sincere smile.
"Jim. Jamie. Darling. Have you ever made anything in this kitchen by yourself?" She asked, holding back laughter.
He pouted. "I can make tea just fine."
"Tea is a whole lot different than a cake, baby. Here, we can do it together. After we clean up in here."
