It was a rainy summer day and the trio was bundled up in the refurbished drawing room of Grimmauld Place watching the tv Harry had configured with George's help to work around magic, watching Gene Kelly in "Singing in the Rain". Hermione had picked it and sniffled quietly as it played the famous scene of Gene Kelly doing his song and dance on a soggy looking set.

Alarmed but cautious, Harry and Ron turned to their friend.

""Mione? Are you alright? Do you want us to take a break? Or watch something else?" Ron asked softly, nudging her thigh with a socked foot.

She sniffed loudly and scrubbed at her eyes. "I'm alright. It's just…my parents loved this movie."

The boys looked at each other. Hermione's parents were still a sore spot now five years after the war. They had tried to track them down after the war, but they'd been killed in a car crash five months after Hermione had relocated them. Harry helped her pay to have their remains shipped back to Britain and stood by her side as she buried them under the correct names.

Harry put a hand on her forearm to comfort her. Then, he got an idea to cheer her up.

"Why don't we try dancing in the rain? It's summer so we won't catch a cold or anything. We can even sing Ron's favorite, Celestina Warbeck." He said grinning.

Ron rolled his eyes but smiled. Hermione bit her lip and looked like she was tallying up negatives and positives before nodding.

"But we will have wellies on, Harry Potter! I'm not getting my running shoes wet."

They mockingly shook on it and went to the door to grab rain boots before trekking to the garden door in the back of the house.

They started slow, just walking in the rain, then Ron grabbed both his friends hands and began to walk in a circle before starting to skip. They all fell into step, giggling like first years. Ron sang a few bars of "Do the Hippogriff" and they danced for hours until the rain stopped and the sun came out. Finally, the trio just laid down on the warm, wet brick and laughed and laughed.
