A/N: Thanks to qazse for help with reactions!

Also, before I begin, quickly responding to a guest's review.

I have a question. I love this story a lot but... do you hate rage? I get it he can be annoying. I just ask because rages videos on world and lore actually got me into monster hunter. I do love this story and love the character interactions.
Ps. Love the ships keep it up!
Jon

No, I don't hate Rage at all. I think he's hilarious. Anything I say against him is either a joke on my part, or what qazse and I think the characters would say about Rage either being mean to a monster, making silly jokes or undermining the destruction they cause.

Side note to any guests reading, you should make actual profiles and leave reviews that people can actually personally respond to. You're MUCH more likely to get answers that way.

Ren was deep in thought as he heard the name. "Dalamadur? I feel like we've heard that name before, but I can't put my finger on it. I think it had something to do with the Rotten Vale, but what could it be?" He pondered.

"Who cares? I wanna see some monsters! Let's get into it!" Yang declared.

A huntress was shown walking on some kind of mountain spire on a dark, stormy knight as she looked around for her target. All the while, Rage gave an ominous speech as massive letters took up the screen, spelling the name of the monster in question. "Dangerous beyond comprehension. Alarmingly colossal. Lord of the mountain. Almighty legend. Monstrous in its fury. Absolutely unchallenged. Destructive prowess on a scale unparalleled. Undeniable in its awesome might. Run. Run. Run. It won't help you. We face... Dalamadur!" Rage declared with his usual ominous echo while an even larger mountain spire was shown with almost a spear-like tip, before the spire the huntress stood on began to shake and crumble as the full name "Dalamadur" was shown.

Many of them got a chill from this opening. "I don't know what it is yet, but if you can break down its name like that and come up with something creepy like that, I'm not sure I want to know." Summer said, holding her daughters close.

Said daughters, however, did not share her sentiment. Especially Ruby. "I do! It sounds super cool! It must be some super giant!" She said excitedly.

"Yeah and last I checked, that's usually a bad thing!" Emerald yelled at the other girl named after a gemstone.

But then, the serious atmosphere was instantly ruined by cutting to a familiar clip of a young man with a snake puppet on his head, but superimposed over said puppet was the face of an actual, terrifying snake monster. "I'm a slither-y little sneaky snake! I'm so slither-y and sneaky, 'cuz I'm a snake!" The man said in a goofy tone.

But then, the infamous "I'm a snake" clip played, to which everyone groaned and facepalmed. "Oh, come on! That looked like the most epic monster EVER! And you just ruined it!" Adam snapped.

"Precisely! Snakes are incredible, majestic creatures that deserve respect!" Winter agreed.

"Still, it's nice to finally hear about another snake-like monster!" Pyrrha said eagerly, happy to see another serpent as the video's focus.

"Eh, the only snake I wanna hear about are the ones my boots are made of." Roman said uneasily.

"Best not wear those boots if you run into this creature, then." Hazel warned him.

The huntress was then shown again as a massive figure was moving in a serpent-like manner around the spire she stood on as she struggled to keep her footing. "Oh, yes, fellow hunters! It is long past time we talk about a dirty, great, big snake! And this is the dirtiest, greatest and biggest of them all! Behold- not the first time I said that-" Rage said with a laugh at the end as an absolutely massive snake-like body was shown as a massive lizard-like leg nearly crashed down on the huntress. "No, Dalamadur: the Serpent King Dragon, a worthy title for his majesty!" Rage declared as the creature slithered around and up the main, spear-tipped spire, before looking down at the huntress.

But then, they finally saw the massive serpent in all its glory. Needless to say, they were pretty much gobsmacked. "I-I-Impossible! It looks like it completely dwarfs Kulve Taroth and Lao Shan Lung! Nothing should be able to be that big!" Weiss cried out.

"This can't be real. Surely it must be some kind of nightmare!" Glynda said.

"Okay, Ceadeus could have been the size of Monstra, but this thing HAS to be bigger than it." Cinder said in horror.

"Huh, funny you mention that." Katana said, knowing the monster would be compared to a blue whale shortly.

But, upon seeing its limbs, Ren had to be that guy. "Wait... If it has legs, then does it really count as a-" He asked, but was interrupted by Nora giving a stern look.

"Not. Now!" She warned in a dangerously hushed tone.

The huntress looked up at the massive serpent as it looked down at her and roared. "He is the largest monster, FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY meters long. A living trunk of muscle." Rage explained as an image of the beast from its shoulders to its tail, not even the end of the tail, with a blue whale also being shown for scale, which wasn't even a tenth of the beast's total length, as once again, the full monster didn't fit on-screen, meaning it was still significantly larger than their frame of reference.

Upon hearing its true size, minds were blown. Almost literally in Penny's case. "Th-that's impossible! No living creature could possibly be that large! Gravity should cause it to collapse under its own weight! That's why whales are aquatic, as water takes the force of gravity off them, letting them grow to large sizes without straining their bones! But no land creature could do that! Even the largest snake on our planet, the anaconda, mostly stays in water because it is heavy and cumbersome on land due to its size!" The gynoid cried out.

"I'm truly starting to wonder if it magic can be ruled out of the equation. Because this creature seems to defy physics and science as only magic can." Ozpin said, amazed.

"I'm really starting to miss science and physics, where things make sense." Ironwood said, struggling to process the massive snake as much as the robot girl.

"I like all the spines on its back and head. They almost look like blades. It really makes it more fierce-looking and intimidating." Blake noted, appreciating the beast's aesthetic.

"I think it's intimidating enough." Velvet said, shivering from her spot behind the couch.

"But it's so cool! Look at how it's face lights up red! It's pretty!" Ruby said, jumping in her seat.

"I'm with you there, Rose. That's one sweet-looking snake. But, I'll take Naga any day." Coco said, nuzzling with her Tidal Najarala.

A group of hunters was then shown fighting with the giant serpent. "Which can constrict, assuming Dalamadur is of the squeezing disposition... Well, scaling off the Green Anaconda-" Rage began to explain as the hunters started attacking.

Suddenly, a pair of rodents were seen hiding behind a tree from a massive green snake. "~Green anaconda, Green Anaconda~" They sang as the snake thankfully slithered past them.

"That's a catchy little tune." Yang said, jamming to it a bit.

"I could do without the singing rats, though." Hazel grumbled.

"Still, it is quite impressive when Rage actually knows what he's talking about with animals." Winter stated.

The fight was shown once again as the hunter with a lance stabbed the snake as it slithered overhead. "Which has a force of ninety PSI- Ergo, being caught by one of these guys is like having a school bus placed neatly on your chest... Well, Dalamadur then would come out around the region of nine THOUSAND PSI, which is like being teleported to the bottom of the ocean, it's an instant smooshing scenario. However, the likelihood he hunts as a pure constrictor, given the size difference between him and likely prey... Well, it's not too high. More than likely, it's just a quick-" Rage explained, before making a striking sound as a clip of a snake lunging at a bird and biting it was shown while the bird let out a goofy scream. "And you are in the belly of the beast..." Rage declared ominously as the hunters continued to fight the beast.

To say they were stunned and disturbed by Dalamadur's crushing power would be the understatement of the century. "Yikes!" Velvet, along with many others, said in fear, with the Rabbit Faunus jumping behind the couch once again.

"Even the Green Anaconda's crushing power seems like way more that what is needed." Neo agreed.

"All those snakes can stay away from me! I don't want to get squished instantly!" Jaune said.

"Actually, there was an even larger snake back a few million years ago, the titanoboa, which could grow up to 42 feet long and was believed to be able to constrict with four hundred psi. Which would basically be like having three Eiffel towers placed on top of you." Katana explained, making the Remnant crew shiver in fear. Still not as bad as Dalamadur, but still more than any living person's aura could handle.

"Um, yeah... maybe keep these extra facts of yours to yourself." Ilia advised.

"No." Katana said with an evil smirk.

"At least we can be at ease with the fact he probably wouldn't have to constrict us, he'd probably just swallow us whole... And we'd have to wait to be dissolved by stomach acid..." Emerald said as she slowly realized what she said and what would happen if they were swallowed whole.

Qrow raised a brow at that. "Uh, if that was supposed to make us feel better, it didn't." He said.

Then, the clip with the bird getting bitten and screaming was shown. Despite feeling a bit bad for the bird, they knew it was nature and the scream got a laugh out of quite a few of them. "Okay, it's messed up, but that scream was pretty funny." Blake giggled, a fan of darker humor, anyway.

Ruby pouted at this. "It's not funny." She said under her breath.

The hunter with the lance jumped from one of the spires onto Dalamadur's body. "Especially since he does have two front legs armed with savage claws longer than... you are, to grip, tear and maim with grievous efficiency. This is also what lets him crawl around mountains, along with his powerful coils. Indeed, the spines on his back, coupled with this, let him carve out mountains. He can tunnel through the densest rock and shape the land to his very will. And this isn't even some Pokedex level exaggeration like we get here, he really can model the Earth itself. He is said to be a myth, a legend, seldom seen and even less recorded. A god to some, but- look... a lot of the powerful creatures get "god" thrown at them, I mean- it's like two explorers are going around going-" Rage explained as Dalamadur briefly paused from exertion, allowing the hunter with the lance to get some stabs in.

Then, as the beast recovered, Rage told his idea of how he believes these creatures got the moniker of gods. "'Oh, Steve! Steve, look at the size of that snake! Oh, it's like- It's gotta be a god, right?!' 'Yeah! Uh, Harry, I think probably it's a god!' 'Aw, yeah! I knew you'd agree, Steve! Snake God!' 'Snake God!'" The host gave a rendition of the two goofy explorers choosing what is and isn't a god, with one of them further in the distance with an echo to his voice and the hunters continued to stab at Dalamadur.

Everyone laughed at Rage's back and forth, but couldn't deny he had a point. "Jeez, do they just throw the word "god" at anything that sounds impressive? By that logic, based on what Katana said, we're all basically gods by their standards." Roman said.

Neo smirked at that. "I wouldn't mind that. I would be the god of money! And cuteness." Neo said.

"To be fair, the monsters they call gods are pretty worthy of that title." Summer told them.

"Still though, that's like, what? At least five things they call gods now? At least we only had two." Ilia said.

"Well, like Miss Rose said, it's very easy to get the impression that creatures this large and powerful could be anything but godly entities. Especially to a particularly young, primitive or ignorant society." Ozpin told them all.

The hunters looked up at Dalamadur's head as the massive snake's face began to glow bright red as it loomed down towards them. "Look- Okay, ignoring dumb and dumber over there, it is certainly powerful, arguably in raw strength, THE most powerful monster in existence and that is an impressive title to hold. It lives atop the Speartip Crag, which it modeled into its namesake and it waits there, slithered around it, caressing it, letting its shadow of death fall atop the plateau, waiting for the hunter to come and have a go! Indeed, one of these had never been slain before until the ultimate final battle of the Fourth Fleet after they discovered the Speartip Crag above Shagaru Magala's home of Heaven's Mount [1] and... Oh, I will never forget my first encounter with this guy." Rage said as Dalamadur swung its glowing red tail around and blue meteors rained from the sky, before epic music played as the beast was shown slithering up the Crag once again.

Hearing that hunters have only managed to kill only one Dalamadur truly painted a picture on just how strong this snake to the cast. "I'm impressed. This snake truly has my respect. I almost wish the White Fang had one of these on our side." Adam said.

"Being the physically strongest seems very likely. What else could possibly hold against such a monster? Its sheer body weight should be more than enough to crush any adversary it goes up against, before even factoring in how strong it is." Penny added.

"Well, I think it's nice that something more interesting and exotic is considered the strongest of all monsters, rather than just another dragon. Nothing against the dragons, of course, but their are quite a decent number of them already, so it's nice that the more unique monsters truly stand out for something." Pyrrha gave her own thoughts.

The lance-wielding hunter then stabbed at one of Dalamadur's coils as the fight continued. "Walking in and seeing him maneuver around as you try to figure out what exactly he is before you get a full view of him, going from 'Wait, what- Ohhh, it's a huge snake! Look at-! Oh, my god, he's so big! It's a huge snake! Oh, my god! That's so awesome! I wanna die!', then running up its side, up to its head and stabbing with all your strength, rendering it low for just a moment and letting you go to work on its face! It leaves a lasting impression. And an impression you probably won't get again, as if you do manage to survive, should you choose to go up against one, you will likely be too damaged, either physically or mentally, to ever go up against the beast again. And many hunters that have survived a fight with the beast report that they felt like they weren't even doing anything despite fighting for nearly an hour. He is a tanky son of a bitch." Rage attacked as the hunters attacked Dalamadur's head while it was rested on the crag they stood on.

Qrow nodded at this. "Makes sense. Even the wounds from the biggest weapons they've got would probably be like a paper cuts to this guy, assuming they could even break the skin. With all these monsters having hide that makes even the sharpest weapons bounce off, I'm willing a giant snake like this has those, too." Cinder said.

"Strong analysis. And that's even assuming they can reach the monster in the first place. From the looks of the video, it seems like they have to do a lot of climbing around to try and hit Dalamadur anywhere important." Ironwood added.

Dalamadur then raised back up, slithering around more to get its head away from the hunters attacking it. "Reclusive creatures for the most part, they oft not pose a threat, despite their intimidating nature. Hell, they're not even a problem- like, they don't attack things, they just live and hunt. Like, the Guild isn't really that bothered, WE got expeditioning to ITS home and, well... go 'That looks like a fun challenge, I'm having that!' And even when hunters do attack it, Dalamadur doesn't usually go all out, as most hunters, despite getting battered to hell, still usually come back from fighting one, just a bit embarrassed a snake kicked their asses." Rage explained as the hunters tried to climb up to Dalamadur's head.

Hearing that it wasn't much of a threat or even a concern from the guild truly left them all shocked. "They don't consider a GIANT snake a threat!?" Ren asked in shock.

"Well, he just said they don't really cause problems. Which is impressive, considering its size." Winter said, admiring the beast that much more.

And they found themselves even more shocked, something they didn't think possible, when they found out hunters usually survive an encounter with the monster. This was helpful to ease their tension, however and many gained a better opinion of the beast. "Aww, that's nice that Dala doesn't just eat them in one bite." Coco said. [2]

"I guess... maybe it's not so bad." Velvet said, untensing just a bit.

Then, they heard hunters considered it a challenge to try and overcome more than anything. "A challenge, huh? I might give that a go." Yang said.

"I bet I could be Huntsman of the year if I took down one of those!" Jaune said imagining in his head that he stood above the defeated beast, with everyone chanting "Jaune is the man!".

Ozpin chuckled at the boy's antic, but rolled his eyes and spoke. "A few things, Mr. Arc. First off, you're not a Huntsman yet. You're still in training. Secondly, as impressive as defeating a Dalamadur, defeating a creature that keeps to itself and only causes few problems far apart from each other, on accident no less, would hardly be a reason to reward someone. And third, being a Huntsman is about doing the right thing, upholding justice and protecting people. It isn't simply a popularity contest. Having people like that as the defenders of humanity would be incredibly foolhardy." Ozpin said.

In another dimensional viewing theater, a class of superpowered future heroes, as well as the pro heroes with them, collectively sneezed. [3]

The hunters continued to climb until they were level with the beast's head. "There's really little need for conflict twixt Dalamadur and hunters. It honestly feels more like sport. Granted, they DO cause huge landslides and boulders to fall and huge chunks of rock to come tumbling down. It causes damage and injuries, the surrounding villages that do live around the mountain are kinda a little bit terrified, but or the most part, it's quite a peaceful, unaware coexistence, so it is quite curious just how powerful and big it is compared to how little, in the general sense, of a threat it poses." Rage said in the monster's favor as the hunters attacked its head, which it lowered to a place they could attack it once again.

"What was that about them not being a problem again?" Glynda asked.

"Hey, that's on the people. Just like with old Lao Shan Lung, they know their in the danger zone, so they should get out of there. Common sense. That's like sitting in a restaurant that's on fire and going 'where's my order?'" Roman criticized.

"I can't believe I'm agreeing with him of all people, but he's right. Dalamadur's probably been on that mountain way longer than that village was ever there. If they get squashed, it's their own fault." Emerald said.

"That's just wasting a hunter's time and maybe even getting him killed. It can't be harder to move the village than it is to kill that thing. It's their own fault for being stubborn." Hazel agreed.

The hunters were climbing up to attack its face again, but the monstrous snake roared with such power it caused them all to fall from their climbing points. "But, aggressive they are, defending their territory, which is... an entire mountain range with a fury. And that fury... Well, it makes itself manifests. When threatened, a Dalamadur... Well, kinda starts the Hellfire apocalypse by summoning, you know- A METEOR STORM! Blue fire blazing from the sky showers the battlefield in gorgeous obliteration. And these meteors of blue flame that Azula would be proud of-" Rage began as the snake rained fireballs from the sky, before a girl with blue fire around her was briefly shown for a split second. "Well, they can last DECADES, lying dormant, ready still to burst forth and turn all to ash, as evidenced by the meteors still left undisturbed in the Rotten Vale, so long after the Dalamadur that caused them has been turned to naught but skeleton." He added as an Odogaron in the Rotten Vale attacked a hunter, igniting one of these meteors on the ground in the process.

"Yay! Dalamadur is a peaceful good boy! We can coexist and be friends!" Ruby said, imagining herself riding on the giant snake's head.

"Yeah, coexisting is all well and good, but I still would like to try and take that thing down. It'd be like the greatest workout EVER!" Yang said.

"I wouldn't mind seeing exactly what ol' scaly there can throw at me." Qrow agreed.

"I'd finally have a worth opponent." Adam added.

"Yeah! Me, too! I'd be wearing me some new snakes skin boots! And gloves! And a vest! Ooh and a trench coat! There's plenty of snakeskin to make clothes for maybe all of Beacon!" Nora declared. Meanwhile, Katana felt a bit uncertain about letting the hammer-wielder fight the Elder Dragon serpent, knowing she was based off Thor while Dalamadur represents the world serpent. And anyone familiar with mythology knows that Thor and the world serpent were a bad combo.

Then, they were once again floored when they heard about the monster's fireballs and how long they could last. "How can the meteors possibly last that long?! Surely, whatever gases or liquids that allow the flame to burn so powerful would deteriorate over time until they become useless! Especially when mixed with the effluvium of the Rotten Vale!" Penny cried out, her brain once again struggling to process this information.

"As long as those flames are kept away from the people of Remnant, I'm willing to just admire what they can do." James said, the rest of the Ozluminati nodding that he finally wasn't trying to immediately weaponize something.

"Okay, I'm starting to wonder if this thing's actually a god." Velvet said.

"I'd buy it." Coco agreed.

"I need to learn how to make my fire that incredible." Cinder said.

"You're already more than capable how you are, Miss Fall." Ozpin assured her.

The hunters on a mountain crag stabbed at Dalamadur's chest, before the creature slammed one of its feet down where they were. "Now, we also have the Dalamadur's mouth. Outside of a colossal bite force able to tear through rock with ease, it can produce one of the most blazingly beautiful beams of any known monster in existence, a swirling vortex inferno threatening to consume all in its path." Rage declared as everything slowed down and epic music played while the Dalamadur released a spiraling tornado of blue flame from its mouth that the hunter desperately dove out of the way of. "Pelted out at such force, the Dalamadur can nary contain it and is sent reeling in recoil, its temperature regulated by a mighty vent adorning its chest that glows crimson to match the rage of this almost insurmountable monstrosity." The host added as the hunter was near its chest, revealing the vent indeed glowing bright red.

Seeing its fire vortex, combined with the music, left Ruby, Nora, Yang, Neo and even Summer star-eyed. "So epic." They all said.

"You know! I think I'm good on trying to challenge it now!" Jaune said fearfully.

"Not me! I wanna fight it even more now! I bet I could charge right through those fires!" Yang declared.

"Holy crap! That was insane! That puts Exterminator 2: acuity night to shame!" Neo cried out excitedly. [4]

The hunter was on a lower part of the spires as Dalamadur slithered upward again. "They have lost the use of their back legs over time, rendering them as nothing more than little nubs. Honestly, Dalamadur kind of reminds me of a skink, they don't have really great use of their legs, they're essentially kinda hybrids twixt snake and lizard." Rage explained as a lizard enclosure was shown, someone pushing the glass and fake foliage out of the way to reveal a skink. "I have a blue-tongue and he is just lovely and every time I see him, I'm like 'Aww, there's my little Dalamadur!' Look at him and his little tongue-" Rage continued, lifting and showing his skink off to the camera before simply gushing over the reptile as it simply dangled in his grasp. "His name is Nix, in case you're wondering." He added as the skink stuck its tongue out a few times.

Of course, upon seeing the blue-tongued lizard, Ruby and Winter immediately cooed. "It's so cute! And Nix is such a sweet name!" Ruby cried.

"I must have one!" Winter declared.

"You live in Atlas. Cold and lizards don't mix. You do know that, right?" Ilia asked.

The hunters climbed the Speartip Crag in order to get a better vantage point AGAIN. "But, yeah- I really love how this things actually functions: its much bulkier forward body to give it that weight to throw itself against the rocky home it lives in, dragging and clawing, pulling and smashing cliff faces aside with its front claws and then drilling with a spin-like motion, turning the hooks down its body akin to a drill as it carves a great network of tunnels underground. Even passively burrowing under a settlement causes irreparable damage to a huge swath of the town. Even its tongue then, possesses paralytic properties that it can use to render its foes helpless, which I feel like is overkill for something like this. Does it need that? What was the evolution behind that?" Rage questioned as they started to attack the snake's coils.

The massive beast roared again, stunning the group of hunters. "Like 'Alright, so he's a FUCKING big snake, like a REALLY big snake! Like, people are gonna see him and be like-'" Rage began explaining another scenario, before an anaconda was shown opening its mouth, a loud scream being heard at the same time. "'He's the strongest, the largest, he can breathe a freaking tornado of blue fire and SUMMON METEORS! But you know, maybe... Maybe that's not enough.' 'Let's get him a paralyzing bite!' 'I like the way that you think!' 'Thanks!' 'Let's do it!' It's just like- come on! What's he fucking biting that needs subduing!? What can't he swallow whole?! Who's he fucking hunting, actual God?! The point is, he's a pretty effective predator." Rage ranted as the hunter stabbed at Dalamadur's leg, before getting knocked back as the beast moved its leg.

And this was one of the rare times they agreed with Rage. "Oh, come on! That's just broken! Something that big DOES NOT need paralysis!" Weiss complained.

"What a cheater." Nora pouted.

"Whatever THAT THING has to paralyze before it can eat it, I don't want to meet it." Roman said.

Dalamadur began to slither and weave around, making it harder for the hunters to attack him, especially with more meteors raining down. "He sheds his skin like any other to grow larger- though, I'd imagine a baby Dalamadur is still hefty-" Rage began, before an image of Aylia in the Rotten Vale was shown, a red circle around a part of the terrain. "And talking of the life cycle... The ones in the Rotten Vale- I did a lot of research on this, but the TL;DR... Scaling the size of the skeletal vertebrae of the Dalamadur there... At minimum, you get an adult length of TWO MILES LONG! And then people came up to me with their own research, a lot of lovely, extra math, scaling a lot deeper than I had time to do and they came up with a number closer to SEVEN MILES LONG! Incomprehensibly insane!" Rage declared as they continued to move to advantageous places to try and get hits on the beast.

The hunters moved to avoid Dalamadur's leg coming down on them, as well as another flaming vortex. "There is a reason that his official entry is: 'A massive Elder Dragon. Massive beyond human comprehension.' Initially that just sounds like, 'Okay, it's big, yeah, but you can still- you can comprehend big, come on now. Let's be accurate here.' But really, if we start to look at those potential sizes- Colossal, entire civilization- at least with that level of technology- ending sizes, it's essentially unstoppable! It is not a killable animal! He should be crushed under his own body weight, but it's just that powerful! I really am starting to think someone saw this and went-" Rage began as they stabbed at the monster's chest vent.

Suddenly, a clip of a man holding something with a very strange visual effect was shown. "If there's a scale from one to ten, I can't even!" He declared, gushing over whatever he was reviewing.

And once they heard the true sizes on the beast, their brains practically shut down and went on vacation. "There's no way... How could something get THAT big?!" Ren asked.

"I thought they were exaggerating with beyond comprehension, but no. There is literally no way to comprehend that. That's just WAY too big." Emerald said, her brain trying to refuse the knowledge, but was unable to.

"Even the two miles long was already way too much for me." Pyrrha admitted, just as stunned as the rest of them.

Penny could not handle what she was hearing any more. "Okay, that's it. I am done trying to rationalize this. I'm just blindly going along with whatever he says now. I will literally fry my brain if I keep trying to make sense of this." The gynoid stated in defeat.

Ruby, on the other hand, is just eating this info up. "I want to see one of these in real life SO BAD." She said.

The hunters once again continued to run around to a place where they could do meaningful damage to the beast. "And I get it now. I get it, he is the most absolute unit of any known monster. You SHOULD be in awe at the size of this snake. So, that's kind of already it. There's not a lot to him- Well, that's a lie- there is A LOT to him, he's fucking massive! But, in terms of deep lore and biology, not really that crazy. For his size and ranking amongst monsters, he's really quite animal in nature. He keeps to himself and his mountain home, it's a habitat that works, carving out a network and nest, the spines work to do it, the hooks to grip the rock along with his claws, he has the predator tool setup, he can essentially hunt ANYTHING and because is snake-like, he doesn't have to eat that often despite his size, a metabolism very much in his favor here with how slow it is able to function. He's really just a big snake living in the mountain doing snake-y things. And I can totally get behind that." Rage admitted a the Dalamadur writhed in pain as the hunters finally did enough to kill it.

"Aww, I was really hoping to hear some amazing lore or epic stories about this thing." Summer said, a bit disappointed.

"That thing!? A normal animal? Bullshit!" Qrow said.

"That is NOT a normal animal! No matter how much it acts like one, it cannot be called anything other than an extraordinary, supernatural beast." Ironwood said.

"Indeed. Calling something that massive and imposing regular is entirely too much of a stretch." Glynda agreed.

"Exactly." Weiss said, nodding adamantly.

Suddenly, a clip of a dark-skinned man was shown. "Buuut wait! There's more!" He declared with a bit of a lisp, some spit flying out as he spoke.

Wiess just groaned at this. "What? No! No more, please!" She begged.

Ruby and Nora, however, had the exact opposite reactions. "Yes! More! Give us more!" They yelled, starry-eyed.

Suddenly, the still form of a Dalamadur was shown with much darker skin, as if it was a frozen husk. "Oh, yeah! Meet the Shah Dalamadur! Not strictly a subspecies, but a state that every Dalamadur enters into after they have freshly shed. They're a little bit vulnerable, but they do gain some benefits- I mean, firstly: this lovely, bronze-y, orange-y, red-y appearance, looking really good there, mister Dala. But their temperature is in constant flux just after shedding. They lose the ability to perform homeostasis-" Rage explained as the creature's darkened eye was shown before snapping open to reveal it was under a layer of dead skin that peeled off as the beast rapidly moved about, before raising to the top of the stone-tipped crag, coming down with mouth agape to consume the hunter that was shown, as well as the entire spire he was stood on.

Suddenly, a record scratching noise was heard and unfittingly cheery music played as the hunter was shown closer, desperately diving off the doomed spire. "Yep! That's me! You're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation." A man narrated as the hunter just barely avoided becoming a meal.

Coco lowered her glasses and whistled at this. "Dang. Those are some nice colors. They really pop." Coco praised.

"Exactly. Very warm, fiery colors. I appreciate that. And from the sound of things, that's quite fitting." Cinder agreed.

Then, they saw the hunter about to be eaten. "And that truly cements just how monstrous this creature is and why we absolutely CANNOT have them on Remnant. It could eat dozens of citizens at once." Ironwood said.

"Oh, yeah. All the people on top of a mountain. Sure gonna have a buffet up there." Qrow said sarcastically.

"Qrow, are you forgetting some homes in Mistral are quite literally built into the sides of mountains?" Glynda reminded him.

"Oh, yeah... Way to kill the mood, Glynds." He told her.

So the giant serpent devoured the spire where the hunter once stood and rose back up to roar at the hunter. "And in this regard, they fluctuate from incredible, burning heat where their very presence scorches the very landscape, but they are incredibly vulnerable to attack and freezing cold, where they are resistant to damn-near everything, but slow and sluggish. Outside of that, they're a little bit more aggressive and their flames are a little bit more 'fired up' as it were and... really, that's kind of it- a bit stronger... they kind of go into 'Oh, my god! I'm vulnerable!'- Really, Dalamadur? You're a fucking 500 meter long snake! I don't care that you've just shed and your scales are a bit softer! Oh, they've gone from being able to repel the sharpest weaponry literally available to now you can kind of get dented a little bit. Oh, no! What are you gonna do! But, I guess to be fair, that does pour forth the animal instinct it's undergoing, despite its own power and size, it still has to look out for itself and feels the need to do so, so they go a little bit molt crazy." Rage finished as the serpent fired one last vortex of flame, before retracting its head from view.

A lot of the group laugh at Rage's... Well- rage, on Shah being more aggressive now that it's scales are "vulnerable". "I suppose he has a point. It's difficult to reach it at all to damage, nevermind the fact its constantly moving, biting and shooting fireballs and flaming vortexes." Ozpin said.

"And even if they do hit him, what does he have to worry about? Even if they're a little softer, they can still take way more damage than most other monsters. Besides, what's even going to attack it besides the occasional brave hunter?" Blake added.

"What a drama queen." Neo said.

"So, thoughts?" Katana asked.

"Please put them on Remnant! Please, please, please!" Ruby and Nora both pleaded.

"NO!" Literally everyone told them.

"I'm happy we got to see another snake monster, but I was not expecting that much from one." Pyrrha said.

"I wasn't expecting that much from anything!" Jaune said.

"The fire power it had was amazing. And it's really interesting how it lasts for decades, even after the monster itself is dead." Cinder added.

"I still question if it can be called a snake while having legs, but it is very fascinating. And having its spikes to be a drill is very interesting." Ren stated.

"Plus, they're great in terms of pure aesthetic, too. It's just a really good-looking monster." Blake said.

"Yeah. It looks cool, what it can do is cool and how it behaves is cool." Coco agreed.

"Well, I guess that's basically everything we can say on that, then." Neo said.

"So, what's next?" Penny asked.

"Oh, this one's gonna be fun. But just a warning to you clean freaks, Gogmazios can be pretty dang messy." Katana told them, playing the next video.

[1] This isn't confirmed, but the notes on the Speartip Crag say that it's most likely located above Heaven's Mount.

[2] Man, it is really tough dancing around gameplay aspects more often than not. I couldn't just have them say that they farm the monster, since that DIRECTLY contradicts the whole "only one has ever been hunted" thing.

[3] The joke here is in Insane Boy's story of Monster Hunter 101, he has Hagakure make a joke that anyone around the age of the students would be stupid to fight the monsters with weapons, then the RWBY crew sneezed. So, the RWBY crew gets to send a jab back at the MHA crew.
