Chapter 34
Loose Ends
Varian was regretting eliminating every rock, it meant that Frederic was free now. Adrien was held back by Ladybug wanting to tear apart the man who had hurt his family. Seeing the deranged king Hector also took out his blade ready to carve Freddy a new one but Edmund held him back seeing Rapunzel step up and shoved Varian behind her. With his Moon powers restored and the king powerless it wasn't really necessary but the gesture was appreciated.
"It's over Dad. You can't hurt Varian any more and you can't make me hurt him either." With all the reformed villains helping during the final crisis she almost expected her Dad to offer some kind of apology.
"You just think it's over but Corona will face-"
"Dad, stop! Zhan Tiri has been manipulating everyone; there is no pact or curse or whatever." Frederic's eyes hardened.
"It is clear you are the one being manipulated but fear not. As your father and you King I'll-" but his words were cut off as Cassandra held her sword under his chin. "You too Cassandra? I thought you were loyal like your father." Cassandra was currently seeing red.
"I made a fool of myself because I was so blindly loyal. You won't be getting anywhere near Rapunzel, or Varian or anyone else. You don't deserve to be king, you deserve to be locked up."
"Ungrateful whelp! Corona isn't one of those traitorous countries where you can just overthrow your king because you disagree with a few rules! Given time I'll make my daughter see this and she'll be a great ruler like me some day."
"I don't want to be a ruler like you!" Rapunzel shouted back, finally telling her father how she really felt. "I don't even want to be Queen!" She took a deep breath hardening her resolve. She had already made up her mind when she chose her name for the battle. "But if the choice is abandoning my people to you or one of your allies I'll take the crown from you."
"Yo…you can't do that!"
"I just helped defeat a demon today! I can and will see to it you end up in jail for everything you've done." Frederic just tutted.
"You have no idea how to rule a kingdom yet. You told me so yourself how disastrous it was when you were left in charge for just a few days. Even before the blizzard." Rapunzel fought the urge to back away. She knew this would come up but she had been thinking about this for a while now. Seeing how unhinged her Dad really was she had come to a final decision.
"It's true. I hated being in charge, I don't know enough about my own country to decide people's day to day squabbles, never mind making rules and having to punish people who break them!" Frederic started to smile thinking he was triumphant but she wasn't finished. "But I'll learn. I work hard and study harder. I'll make Corona a Kingdom I can be proud of. Most of all, I'll protect it from the likes of you!" Hearing all this, Eugene came up behind her.
"And she won't be alone either." He took Rapunzel's hand in his. "If that's what you want, Blondie, then I'll support you." Rapunzel was honestly surprised.
"Are…are you sure? It's not going to be all parties and luxury, it's going to take a lot of hard work to make the needed changes." He sighed but looked her straight in the eyes.
"Honestly I'll miss pampering but I can't say this surprises me. You're a lot stronger than people give you credit for, including yourself. I keep trying to protect you from the world but that was never what you needed. You needed to be a part of it." He sighed deeply.
"I should have seen how much pressure you were under, especially after the blizzard. I tried to brush your troubles under the rug and that only made them worse. Raps, we both had lousy childhoods and maybe we should work on ourselves as well as Corona." she smiled back feeling at peace with that plan.
"You mean that?"
"I do. Speaking of, "I do's" let's put a pin in that whole marriage proposal thing. I promise not to ask you again until you say you're ready. And if the answer is a definite no then we'll cross that bridge when it comes to that." As the pressure was slowly being lifted off her shoulder she started to relax.
"I like the idea of getting to know Rapunzel and learning who she really is. I tried to get that from this quest but it's obvious I still might need some help." Cassandra, still keeping her sword at Frederic's throat, agreed.
"I think we're all dealing with some issues and past trauma, me included. But maybe if we support each other it won't be so bad. You've got my support as well." Rapunzel hugged her friend while Lance held the sword.
"I'd like that, Cass." Frederic on the other hand didn't like what he was hearing at all. He launched into a trade that no one was listening to at this point. Even so it was hard to ignore all the remarks he made about Varian. Taking a page out of Rapunzel's book he marched up to the king and looked him straight in the eye.
"Give it up Freddy! You have no power over us any more. I've lived in fear of you for so long but the truth is you're just a paranoid delusional man with too much power. Well, I'm not giving you any more. I will NEVER let you hurt me or anyone else ever again." Everyone from his world nodded in agreement ready and willing to put an end to King Frederic's reign of terror.
"You are all fools! Corona will fall apart without a good ruler to lead them. You will change nothing! Mark my words all of you will-AHHH!" He screamed and everyone jumped back seeing a black rock skewer his arm. Varian held his hands up looking terrified.
"It…it wasn't me I swear!" It couldn't have been him; he would have felt the rock move. Somehow this one wasn't his. But who-
"No, it was me." From behind Frederic was yet another Varian. This one also seemed to have Moon powers but he had a crescent moon scar by his right eye. When Frederic saw who it was he turned white with fear. "Did you miss me Freddy? I missed you." he purred in his ear, twisting the rock a little making him cry out again.
"Wh-who…" Varian stammers have to look away from the blood to avoid fainting. The scared Varian smiled.
"You can call me King Varian." He looked up and for some reason didn't seem surprised to see three other versions of himself. "Off tormenting other Varians are we? Well you don't need these softer ones I'll give you my full attention." Frederic looked out at the crowd with a pleading look on his face.
"P-please Rapunzel help me!" King Varian was undisturbed at the large number of people who could potentially attack him.
"I heard your little speech before making myself know you know." If possible Frederic became even paler. "You don't exactly have many allies here. Sounds like you were planning to throw all of them in the dungeon when you got back or worse. Seems I'll be doing them a favor."
"Varian!" someone yelled from behind him and for the first time King Varian's grin slipped from his face.
"Rapunzel?" Everyone was surprised to see another version of the Princess marching up to the young king.
"How could you!" He actually looked down as if he was ashamed of doing something wrong. The change was so quick it was giving everyone whiplash.
"I…I'm sorry." Frederic thanked the Sun for his good fortune. It would seem this Rapunzel actually had control over the brat.
"How could you start without me?" And his relief was gone as she grabbed his other arm burning a hole in his robe.
"Sorry Sis, you know how I get around your Dad." Frederic's eyes widened in shock.
"Sis, Rapunzel, what's going on, why are you helping him?" She cast him a wicked smile not unlike her little brother.
"We finished off my real Dad a little too quickly when we took over Corona. When my baby brother said another one had fallen into our laps I raced home only to discover you had somehow gotten away. And before I got to have any fun, so mean." The original Rapunzel was taken aback seeing her counterpart.
"I…I know I was furious at my Dad but…what did yours do that would make you want to…kill him?" They both gave her cold looks and then refocused on their new Frederic.
"Well that's what happens when you lock up your kid for their entire lives just because they were born…different." Rapunzel said glaring at Fred. "Lied to my mother too, he told them I was kidnapped by a witch. She died never knowing the truth." King Varian gridded his teeth.
"Or when your supposed best friend dies and instead of taking care of his five year old son you looked him up because his hair was a different color. At least you kept your promise when you said I'd be treated like one of your own." he looked at his Rapunzel and gave her a soft look before turning back to Freddy. "But funny thing, kids don't really grow up all that sane when they've been locked up all their lives. Especially when you don't screen their caregivers properly or bother to check on them for god knows how long!"
He pointed to the scar on his face while Rapunzel pulled back her collar revealing a similar scar but in the shape of the sun. It seems that the pair had suffered even more at the hands of their Frederic and were looking to take it out on this one. Not that he didn't deserve it.
"I had a heck of a time finding you." Varian said mockingly. "I was even more pissed that you stole my Mind Trap Stone. Those brotherhood members gave us such a hard time when they woke up. They wanted to keep us imprisoned our entire lives so we just returned the favor. Luckily I found another one in a world where they weren't abusive jailers." He turned to Vari and winked. "You're welcome." Vari was also taken aback but at the same time relieved his clan didn't have to worry about that in the future. "Sadly your Frederic was actually remorseful for what he did and turned out to be a decent guy."
"You didn't…"
"Na, it's no fun hurting the rare good Frederics. We only like hurting the cruel ones. We're not like him after all." Rapunzel smirked and turned to Vee.
"Speaking of which, we found your Frederic hiding like a coward in the mountains. We took care of him for you." Rapunzel said to Vee who was now also looking shocked. "Don't give us that look. If you knew what he was planning for your Rapunzel and your Dad you'd be thanking us." Vee paled at the thought of the unseen threat but that did beg a serious question.
"How have you been traveling through all these different dimensions?" King Varian just smirked back.
"Can't reveal everything all at once it would ruin the intrigue." He glanced back at his Rapunzel who gave him a subtle nod. "Well it's been fun but we really must be going." Before any of them could react a jagged portal opened up behind them. They disappeared into it as quick as a flash dragging a terrified Frederic with them. His fate sealed with the closing of the portal.
Rapunzel raised a hand as if to stop them but by then it was too late, they were gone along with her father. She wasn't sure how to feel about this. As twisted and cruel as he was he was still her father much like how Gothel had been the Mother who raised her. She should be feeling at least a little upset but she only felt relieved. Truthfully for all her speeches she wasn't sure what she was going to do about her father when she got home. He was still the King and still had people loyal to him. Enacting any form of punishment would be a challenge to say the least.
Did that make her a bad person as well? Shouldn't she be more sad about never seeing her father again? She turned to Varian who looked like he was also going through some inner conflict.
In a strange way he almost felt cheated. He should have been the one giving Frederic his just desserts but…seeing the cruel looks in their eyes and what those other two had been reduced to was making him think. Would he have gone that far? The thought did scare him a little.
He was being truthful when he said he didn't want to give him any more power over him. So in an odd way maybe they did him a kindness. He wouldn't have to make that choice. At last he was free. Even if the circumstances made it so he couldn't be all that pleased about it. He looked at Rapunzel who looked as conflicted as he was. That thought was oddly comforting.
But as fate would have it their troubles were not quite over yet. The world shook slightly as the crack in the sky became noticeably bigger. Ladybug looked surprised it was still there.
"I thought the Sundrop infused Luckycharm would have fixed that as well." She turned to the crowd all with worried looks on their faces. "I…I don't know what to do. I don't know how to fix this." No one else seemed to have an answer either. It was almost funny really. Together they beat a freakin demon only for the world to end because it shattered.
"Ah, I might be able to help." Said an almost familiar voice. The group turned to see yet another Varian, only this one looked older. It was the first adult Varian the group had seen. Taller, slightly broader chest and he even seemed to have grown into the ears.
After just witnessing an evil Varian and Rapunzel drag King Frederic away you couldn't blame them for being skeptical and on edge. According to Kaalki only 4 people came through when the crack first opened, everyone else came here on purpose.
"What do you want?" asked Ladybug both worried and flat out exhausted. It had been a long few days. The older Varian however didn't seem offended. He just pointed to the crack in the sky.
"I'm technically not supposed to interfere with the timeline too much but we really need to fix this." Everyone blinked in surprise.
"Wait, you're from the future?" Ladybug asked as Varian looked him up and down.
"Are…are you me?" The man was wearing gloves unlike the other two.
"Yes, well no I'm not you from the future I'm you from another world. Also in the future." Seeing he was losing some people he figured he'd better get down to business. "I'll prove it to you."
He moved over to Ladybug and whispered what Bunnyx told her in her ear. Realizing he was telling the truth she let him have the floor.
"Alright I believe you. So how do we fix…" she pointed to the sky. "That."
"So while the timeline is…almost stable it won't make a difference if the dimensions tear themselves apart. I can fix it but to insure it doesn't break open again I'll have to permanently seal this world and your Corona since that's where the crack began. So we need to start sending everyone back where they came from." He pushed a button on his bracelet and a large stone circle appeared behind him as if it had been hidden from view until now. It looked like a bunch of connected rocks all with strange symbols on them.
"Let's start with the one who caused all this trouble in the first place." He pointed to the caged Zhan Tiri looking at him unimpressed. "We can't safely imprison her here or in Corona so we're taking a page out of Demanitus's book and sending her to the Lost Realm." She looked unafraid and even smirked at him.
"Seems you've spent some time there yourself." The others were confused until they saw a snake slithering up on Older Varian's head in place of his signature hair stripe. Several of them gasped as Older Varian looked embarrassed.
"Yeah, I got stuck there for a short time a while back and now I have a new friend."
"Hi!" the snake said, bobbing its head imitating a wave.
"Don't mind Folli, he's harmless." Zhan Tiri just found all of this amusing.
"Send me away again, it makes no difference. I shall return one day and all shall fear the name of-" Before she could finish her sentence Older Varian threw the switch and she was sucked back to the dimension she had spent so long trying to escape.
As the portal closed the earth shook again and the crack in the sky grew a little larger. The man frowned.
"We don't have much time left and I can only open the portal a few more times. Vee, let's get you home next." Vee was a little apprehensive but his desire to return home over rode his sense of caution.
"As weird as it was, it was nice meeting you all. Especially the other mes. Well, expect that evil one but if he took care of King Frederic from my world so I guess he wasn't so bad." All three Varians got together for a large group hug and Vee tried that pointing thing again. "Maybe you'll get that reference one day. Bye everyone."
As the portal opened Vee jumped through. And just like that he was gone.

At the headquarters for the United Heroez in New York a frantic Knightowl and a stressed Quirin were going over the plan to try and find their missing charge. Without warning a portal opened up and Vee stumbled out shocking everyone in the room. It took him a few moments to get his bearings but when he looked up the first thing he saw was his Dad.
"Vee! You're back!" Hearing the stories from the other Varian and knowing just how close he came to losing his father he practically ran into his arms.
"Dad!" The large secure hug brought a sense of comfort to him. Something he sometimes took for granted. Not any more. As the hug loosened Vee pulled him back.
"Vee are you OK?"
"I'm fine Dad just…just a little longer." Quirin suspected there was something more going on but that could wait, his son needed him. That was all that mattered right now.

Vari was a little more eager to get home. Between everything being backward, getting mind controlled by a rock and his bully having a crush on his counterpart he was ready for things to just be normal again.
The portal dropped him off in Betterfly's headquarters. The man looked so relieved to see him as did Nino and Alya. But he did a double take seeing Shadybug and Claw Noir in the room with them. Before he could freak out and transform Betterfly assured him it was OK and that they were on their side now.
So much for returning to normal.
"Dude you missed so much drama while you were away," commented Nino while Alya rolled her eyes and gave him a hug.
"No, I just went through a different one, a weird one. But tell me yours first I need to make sure no one else is brain washed again.
They explained that after he disappeared Betterfly had been trying to find him. During his search he found a world where Shadybug and Claw Noir were good and they helped turn their most fearsome villains to their side. They then wanted to hear his story.
He told them to sit down, this was going to be a long one.

After Vari was safely home came the hard part. As much as Varian wanted to stay he knew he couldn't. As the keeper of the Moonstone he would always be a danger to those around him. He wasn't sure what his life would be like when he returned. He'd probably have to stay in the Dark Kingdom with the Brotherhood but at least he could free his Dad which was his goal all along. He would have given anything to free him so he should be happy…right? But before he could start saying goodbye to his friends the older Varian stopped him.
"There's…something else we need to discuss. Varian, I'm sorry but I can't let you go back." The holders were all shocked while the Corona crew and the Brotherhood were up in arms.
"What do you mean you can't let him?"
"He's the holder of the Moonstone, his place is in the Dark Kingdom!"
"He can finally free his Dad, he has to go back!"
Everyone was talking at once and Varian's head was just spinning. Suddenly someone let out a very loud whistle. Everyone turned to see Luka blowing hard with two fingers in his mouth to get everyone's attention.
"Everyone, let's hear what he has to say." Both Varian were grateful since the sky was looking like it could shatter at any moment.
"It's because the Sundrop and the Moonstone will always be seeking each other out as long as they are in the same world. But unlike most other worlds Rapunzel is the Sundrop and Varian is the Moonstone. They can never be fully separated." He turned to the pair.
"You've felt it haven't you? You don't feel complete unless the power is within you?" Rapunzel and Varian looked at each other; neither one could argue that point. "Even when the stones left your body completely you could still access that power through other means." That was true. It was the whole reason they stood a fighting chance against defeating Zhan Tiri.
"In many other worlds it is the destiny of the Sundrop and the Moonstone to come together but if your powers combined fully it would not only destroy you but just about everything around you." The realization was starting to sink in.
"Even if you try to keep your distance, even in separate countries the opposing powers will forever be drawn together. It's why the rock spread across the land in the first place. Even when Rapunzel was sleeping her hair was pulling her towards the Moonstone, literally. The only way to keep you and your world safe is to separate you permanently."
Everything the older Varian said made sense but now Varian felt conflicted. Yes he would love to stay in this world but now it felt like the choice was being taken from him.
"But…what if my powers get out of control again? I…I can't put Paris through that nightmare again." The older Varian smiled.
"You'll find now that you are fully connected to the Moonstone you'll have full control over your power. But if you return with Rapunzel that might not be the case." King Edmund and the rest of the Brotherhood weren't as convinced. This was a stranger after all.
"You can't expect us to just leave Varian and the Moonstone here!" Edmund argued with his hand hovering over his sword but the older Varian would not back down.
"I'm sorry, but he has to stay and Rapunzel has to return." he would use force if he had to but he hoped it wouldn't come to that.
"If Varian does stay won't he just be imprisoned again?" Adira pointed out turning toward Ladybug. "Have you decided his fate? He did say he would leave it in your hands."
Everyone turned to Ladybug who unbeknownst to them knew something the others didn't. Bunnyx had warned her that Varian must not return to his home world. Since this new Varian knew she had received the same message she knew he was telling the truth. Even so, something was off. Bunnyx said she couldn't go into details but this older Varian was giving them the whole story. Or was he?
Was he leaving something out? Maybe there was another reason Varian needed to stay here. One thing was for sure, if Bunnyx risked upsetting the timeline to tell her it must be important. Varian was needed here for some reason and her decision might be the deciding factor on the others allowing him to stay.
"Varian has a lot to make up for that's true." Varian flinched, convinced Lady was going to suggest at least some jail time. "However, he's clearly regretful of his choices and does seem to want to help people. I don't think jail would do him any good, rather he should make up for his past actions by helping the citizens of Paris." Varian looked up surprised, he…wasn't expecting that. "Our Miraculous can be altered when we show growth or have a change of heart. Put Tanuki to rest and as Ringmaster help us defend this city. Shadow Moth may be retired but he won't be the only one to threaten the peace." She offered him her hand. "What do you say Varian?"
This…this was more than he could have hoped for. She was basically offering him a pardon and letting him be a superhero for real. The only thing was…
"What about my Dad?" The older Varian hung his head.
"I'm sorry, the portal is stretched thin as it is, and we don't have enough time." Varian knew at some point he would likely have to choose, but now that the moment has arrived it hurt. He knew the right thing to do, the only thing really but it still hurt.
"Is it possible when Varian called all the rocks back he called back the ones in Corona as well?" Rapunzel asked, giving Varian a little bit of hope.
"I can't say for sure." Older Varian answered. "I don't know if he can feel the rocks through the dimensions or not." Hearing this Rapunzel made up her mind.
"I'll check on your Dad for you. I can't promise I can release him but I'll try." It was comforting but the problem was he'd never know the truth once the portal was closed. He'd never see his Dad again, he'd have to let him go.
"I…I appreciate that."
"I am sorry for not being there for you before. I'm going to work on being a better person in the future. Maybe we're not friends but maybe I can learn to be one for others." She looked back at the other holders, most of whom cared for Varian deeply. "You've got real one's here so I'm not going to be too worried about you." He smiled back.
"I'm sorry too. As much as I was hurting it didn't give me the right to take it out on you and your family. Well, maybe Frederic." They all shared a laugh. "Tell you mother I'm sorry too?" She ruffled his hair affectionately.
"Of course." At this King Edmund spoke up.
"Look, I'm grateful that Varian isn't going to be punished if he stays but we can't just leave him and the Moonstone here unguarded."
"Then I'll stay." Everyone turned to Hector at his surprise proclamation. No one was more surprised than Edmund.
"Wha-Hector you?" Hector just shrugged.
"What's the problem? I can be here to help him if he has trouble with his powers and answer questions he has about the Dark Kingdom and his heritage." The older Varian was typing something into the device on his wrist making some emergency calculation.
"Ah…I think that will be OK." he said, keeping an eye on the numbers hoping Hector being here wouldn't throw them off too much. But it seemed to be OK. Edmund on the other hand was still concerned.
"Hector I understand the need to fulfill your duty but-"
"This isn't about my duty. It's about being there for my nephew if Quirin can't be here with him." Varian looked at him genuinely touched. Hector was going to sacrifice his whole world for…him?
Edmund was more than a little surprised with Hector's decision but also very proud. As King he'd never be able to abandon his kingdom but if Hector stayed there would also be someone keeping an eye on the Moonstone. Hector also deserved a bit of freedom for having dutifully guarded the Great Tree for so long. Strictly speaking he should still force Varian and Hector back but they both deserved their freedom.
"Then good journey to you brother." He said clasping his hand with Hector's, giving him a smile.
"And to you my King-no brother." Adira watched the exchange with more than a little bit of guilt. Sure she was right about the Sundrop and the Moonstone but wrong about their destiny. She had put everything aside for her quest only to find out that fulfilling it was a mistake. She couldn't do much to make it up to her family, Varian included but she would try. She doubted Varian would be happy if she stayed behind too so she chose to offer her best wishes instead.
"I'll see to your animals Hector." It wasn't much but it was a start. As much as they fought Hector didn't want the last meeting with his sister to end bitterly like last time.
"Sure you can handle them?"
"They'll have Fish Skin to chew on."
"Hey!"
"Better not, he might make them sick."
"I'm just going to ignore you two." Adrian gave a light bow knowing he didn't like long goodbyes.
As the Brotherhood said their farewells Ladybug collected their Miraculous. Ziggy and Stompp gave Rapunzel and Cassandra a farewell while Orikko just waved goodbye praying his next holder would have a better grasp of his power. Maybe he could suggest that Reverser guy. Ladybug got the necklace back from Lance but noticed Barkk trying to stow away in Lance's pocket.
"Barkk, I'm sorry but you can't go with him." Both Barkk and Lance were truly disappointed.
"Aw, why not?"
"Yeah why not." Ladybug could think of several reasons like how Lance tried to steal half the Louve but she gave them a more sensible reason. He did get the stones back from Zhan Tiri after all.
"Kwami magic doesn't work in your world. Varian said Ruddiger was just a normal raccoon there. It would be the same for Barkk." Barkk looked like he was going to say he didn't care but Lance couldn't do that to the tiny dog.
"As much as I'd love to play fetch with you everyday, Ladybug's right. It wouldn't be fair to you." Barkk still looked sad so Lance scratched him in that spot he could never reach. They said their goodbyes before Barkk flew back into the necklace.
Eugene and Cassandra came up to say their goodbyes to Varian. They wanted at least a chance to make things right with Varian before they left.
"I know I wasn't the hero you were expecting, kid. I couldn't see past my own desires and believe it or not I saw you as a threat." He ran a hand through his hair trying to force the words out. "You deserved so much better and from the looks of it you're already on track to becoming a hero yourself."
"He already is." Cassandra corrected, looking at Varian sadly. "It's…going to take a lot more than fighting a demon to make up for everything I did. Don't let people like me tell you who you are or that you don't deserve to be heard." Varian smiled at them both. He couldn't quite say all was forgiven but an honest apology was a good start and maybe in time he'll be at peace with them.
"Hate to rush things but we gotta get everyone back and fix that dimensional barrier ASAP!" Older Varian called out and sure enough the sky was beginning to turn an angry shade of red around the crack. Varian knew time was short but he just had one thing to say.
"I'm not going to try and make anyone else proud. Rather I'll strive to become a person I can be proud of. Take care everyone and if anyone sees my Dad tell him…tell him that I love him!"
With those parting words the portal was open and Rapunzel and the rest of the Corona crew along with the Brotherhood returned home. As the portal closed with Varian and Hector permanently on the other side he shed a single tear.
"OK, now that everyone is where they need to be I'll be heading off myself." The older Varian said activating the portal again.
"Wait!" cried Ladybug, seeing the sky getting worse. "I thought you knew how to fix this?" He just gave her a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry I have everything under control. Best of luck to you all!"
The moment he stepped through the portal the ruins on the frame began to glow. The frame broke apart and the pieces flew up into the air seeing out the crack. Like liquid puzzle pieces the parts of the portal molded themselves into the crack expanding to fill every part of it. As everyone watched the redness in the sky began to fade and the crack slowly blended back into the night's sky. It slowly shrank in size until it was no longer visible and just like that it was gone.
The day was saved and the danger had passed and at that moment everything Varian had been holding in for so long came gushing out. He clung to his uncle as he wept for his first home and his old friends and family. None of which he would ever see again. He wept for the good times as well as the bad as the life he once knew came to an end. This may have been the start of a new beginning but the past was a part of him too.
As his friends and brother gathered around him to offer him comfort he wept in relief for he didn't have to go through it alone any more.
To be continued…
The battle is over and the monsters are gone but what is to become of Paris and Corona now?
