It was early in the morning with sun slowly peeking over the mountains creating a beautiful sunrise. Nicole just finished tying her boots walking out of her room closing it behind her on her way to the kitchen. She grabbed her thermos pouring herself fresh coffee and milk hearing Stanley coming in. "Whos it this time?" Said Stanley pouring himself a cup off coffee. "Pizza Peter." Said Nicole looking at him. "Electric fuse issue and drain in the tub." Said Nicole. She grabbed her tool bag walking passed Stanley after kissing his head once he sat down. Nicole walked into town to one of the neighborhoods going to one for houses knocking on the door. She saw the front looked about the same then faced a large guy with a pizza shirt drinking a soda. "Petey P. Hows it going?" Said Nicole. "Alright. Just letting you know that the drain does have an unpleasant smell." Said Peter. "I can manage." Said Nicole following him to the hallway closet. She placed her tool bag to take out the flashlight to get a better look after Peter opened the fuse box. Peter went to went to the living room watching tv zoned out on the show that was on. "Okay. Thats not good. Peter has the lights been flickering or powering out when you plug something in. "One or the other. Been like when i got this place." Said Peter. "I good news. You called me right on time before this thing burst into flames. Bad news i have to shut the power off and go back home to grab the wires and fuses to replace them." Said Nicole facing him grabbing her tool bag. "Starting now. Its gonna like two hours depending if theres a disaster at home." She says flipping the switch to cut the power. "I'll just go next door then." Said Peter getting up as they both went through the front door. "Here is the spare key and give us knock when youre done." Said Peter handing her the key. Nicole walked back to the Mystery Shack seeing Dipper and Mabel talking on their way inside.
"Had fun you two?" Said Nicole getting them to turn. "Yeah. Im actually working getting my summer romance and i think its working." Said Mabel. "Its been . . . ok." Said Dipper. "Define okay. Its Gravity Falls where weird things are sometimes considered normal." Said Nicole. "He found a diary in the woods while he putting signs up." Said Mabel. "Its a journal. I read a few pages and says a lot of things about this town. The author even mentioned that no one can be trusted."said Dipper showing her the journal. It was red looked worn-out with a gold printed hand with six fingers and labeled as 3. 'i goes Dad was really into his work but why hid it?' She thought. "Nicky? You okay." Said Dipper. "Yeah. Just few shocks from helping Pizza Peter. I was came to get some things for work before going back." Said Nicole walking in after them. She walked to the storage room in the museum looking through the shelves until she found the box she was looking for pulling out what she needed. "Nicky i need you to sew a swimsuit on a second sasquatch!" Said Stanley somewhere close by. "Im going back to work, Dad! I was grabbing some shit i needed!" Said Nicole walking out. "Fine but it gonna cost your week allowance." Said Stanley. Nicole rolled her eyes looking around before shutting the door without touching it by just looking at it. She then walked out going back to Pizza Peter's house and used the key to get inside. Once the fuse was fix she went to the tub to the only bathroom taking a a snake like tool. She sat on the edge of the tub pulling out the plug then gagged loudly from the smell hitting her in the face. Nicole put the tool down the drain until her hand was close to touching it and moved it around then pulled to slowly seeing what looked to be hair. She almost threw up of how strong the smell is getting once the clump of hairs were out and cleaned it out and threw it in the trash then tied it to take it to the trash bin.
Nicole then walked to the next door neighbor knocking on the door to see a guy wearing a mickey mouse shirt. "Fuse fixed and drain cleaned. Here Peter's key." Said Nicole handing them the key. She then walked home seeing a guy with a dark hoodie standing by the front door. "Can i help you?" Said Nicole making the guy turn to see her. "No. I have a date with Mabel." Said the guy making her drop her tool bag. "Care to run that by me again?" Said Nicole walking towards slowly. "Oh my gosh. Hes here." Said Mabel after opening the door. "Hold that thought." Said Nicole slamming the shut on Mabel. She crossed her arms ignoring Mabels yelling to look at the guy who seemed nervous. "Let go fo the door Nicky!" Mabel shouted. "Im not touching the door. The door gets stuck sometimes!" Nicole lied not taking her eyes off of the guy. "This better not be a real date or you are going regret messing with my family." Said Nicole getting his face. "You. Dont. Scare. Me." Said the guy. "Oh yeah. Look down." Said Nicole. The guy did so seeing he was levitating high above the porch as Mabel kicked the door startling them. He then dropped by on the ground as Nicole let go the door letting Mabel open it and walked past her. Nicole walked to the chair where Dipper was reading the journal plopping behind him landing face first into the arm rest on Dippers right. "Rough day at work?" Said Dipper. "I almost been shocked and vomited in the bathroom." Said Nicole. "Everyone this is my date. We met in the woods." Said Mabel. "Whats your name creep?" Said Nicole lifting her head up to look at him. "Normal . . . man." Saif the guy. "He means Norman." Said Mabel holding his arm. "More like pervert." Said Nicole under breath. "Whats that smell?" Said Dipper sniffing the air. "Oh come on. Sorry i unclogged a drain the juice mustve gotten on me." Said Nicole getting off the chair and went to her room to get ready to shower. She grabbed her fresh clothes and went tot eh bathroom while Dipper went to the attic to read the journal.
After a short shower Nicole heard the twins talking leading Mabel slamming the door in Dipper. She watched Dipper walked downstairs sighing and looked at the journal. "Wanna talk?" Said Nicole drying her hair with a towel. She opened the secret door to her room gesturing Dipper to go inside. Dipper saw it was a a bit smaller with than the attic with a dresser, a desk, a vintage carpet, and a window right where her bed is. He even looked at the wall with a few drawings and posters until he saw the Polaroid photo of Nicole and Claire. "Anyways what's going on besides Mabel dating a possible pervert." Said Nicole sitting on the desk chair. "She doesnt see things the way i do. I was telling her that this guy isnt right. I looked into the journal and all signs point to a zombie that disguises as teenagers. I told her and she got mad." Said Dipper. "Girls can get like that sometimes when it comes to first relationships. I know you want to protect her and so do i." Said Nicole. "You lived here long enough have you seen or heard anything strange." Said Dipper. "All the time. Besides that if you want we can take turns being on lookout." Said Nicole. "Thats sounds great. Good thing someone is on the same page as me." Said Dipper. "Oh i can record them on their date right now." He says running up to the attic. "Dont get caught!" Said Nicole. She closed the door without moving from her spot and pulled out her laptop from her desk drawer browsing the internet. Nicole typed away on her keys when a small noise by her window drew her attention away from the screen. She turned to the direction listen closely for a minute to see if it was animal or a person as it happened again. The window opened quickly to show the teen that she saw back when she arrived to Gravity Falls. He looked the same except he wore a grey shirt over a white long sleeve that was smudge with dirt. "You?" Said Nicole. "Awe. You remember me?" Said the teen grinning. "Yeah from nine years ago. What are you doing sneaking around?" Said Nicole looking at him. "Relax i came to talk to you, Arrow." Said the teen. "I dont talk to creeps unless they deserve a reason to get a serious beating." Said Nicole. "Your funny and cute. Im Billie Golde. Wanna get out of here?" Said Billie. Nicole hummed in thought before thrusting her hand out to shut the window on him and locked it. "Okay. See you around. Arrow." Said Billie walking away. He went to the woods with Nicole slowly watching him through the yellow tinted glass before going back to her laptop.
