It's been a few months since Demon King and his friends have stood against Drakken Joe and saved the entire network from being under his control. Ever since then, Demon King has become quite the idol to many duelists in the virtual network. He's consider a hero to them.

"Demon King the Dueling King. Demon King is the best. Aoneko is not only cute, but she rocks for getting footage of him. Hey, nice that someone mentioned me, but I was dueling against those creeps, too." Rebecca said as she was looking over comments people were leaving about Demon King. "Everyone loves you, and I can't blame them. You were the one that saved the entire network from one of the biggest cyber criminals there is."

"And it's certainly help you, Rebecca. Your channel has gotten tons of hits since you broadcast my duels." Shiki said. "Although, you're out of footage that you can use. Maybe we should head to Duel Links and try to get you some more video footage."

"Unwise." Eden said. "We could end up drawing some unwanted attention. Even Aoneko, Kyubi, and Wiseman are getting recognized as heroes of Duel Links."

"Besides, I don't want to be known for just Demon King footage. I have to find other content I can use." Rebecca said. Shiki could not believe how much his life has changed. Ever since Shiki found the special duel disk and deck his late grandfather left for him, he met Eden. A special AI that was designed to aid him that his grandfather Ziggy made specifically for him. Ever since Shiki found her, he actually made friends like Rebecca, Homura, and Weisz. Never did he think that he would be some sort of dueling hero.

"You think all the people who left these comments would want to be friends?" Shiki questioned.

"I would be more careful with that. They might just want to be friends with you because of the fame." Rebecca said. "Anyway, can we talk about what we going to do about Duel Links? I do need to start getting new content to keep my streaming going, but going back could be a problem. Plus, I heard they went through some serious upgrades. I'm curious to check the place."

"I would have to advise against it. You know what they say about curiosity." Eden alerted.

"That's true, and it hasn't really gotten any better for us." They all looked and saw Homura arrived at Shiki's place.

"Hey, Homura." Shiki said. "Things aren't better? It's been a few months. You would think things would have settled down by now."

"Perhaps, but they haven't." Homura said. "Although, Weisz was curious about the updated version of Duel Links. You know how he likes to go looking for trouble. I certainly hope he knows what he's doing."

Duel Links

Duel Links is a virtual reality that duelists are capable of logging their consciousness in. There, they are free to duel to their hearts content. Ever since Drakken Joe tried to take the place over, the whole place has gone through some serious changes.

"Wow. This place looked like a digital copy of the city before, but now look at it." Wiseman said as he stuck to the shadows and had a look around the place. "Interstellar really improved on this place. It's like a palace, and there's those floating islands and structures." He looked around the place and couldn't believe the changes. Duel Links looks different than it did before. It looked like an entire civilization in the middle of a special space. It also had floating islands and different structures. "With those islands, you can duel in different types of areas like forests, deserts, or other pieces. They're always adding to it. Now if only they would change their memorials to us instead of making us look like criminals." He claimed as he noticed the wanted posters of Demon King and his friends over the place. Obviously, not everyone sees them as heroes

Interstellar

"Justice, when are you going to give this up?" Holy asked. The executives of Interstellar were having a meeting. Even though Demon King and his friends saved Duel Links, the higher-ups on Interstellar were unsure about him. "Demon King and his friends saved Duel Links, and the whole network for that matter, from the likes of Drakken Joe."

"Exactly. We should be the ones to handle that situation, not them." Justice said. "The simple fact is that I don't trust Demon King. He just showed up with an unregistered duel disk and A.I. and has been causing trouble ever since. For all we know, Demon King taking down Drakken Joe was just an attempt at a power play."

"That's quite the accusation, but you really have no proof on that." Cure claimed.

"But how trusting can someone named Demon King really be?" Eraser teased.

"Duel Links is our responsibility, and we must enforce law and order." Justice said. "We cannot make exceptions. Demon King must be held accountable for his actions. It would be easier if we knew who he was, but it seems he's found a way to mask himself. He hasn't been seen in the past few months, either."

"Not that we could do much because of privacy rights to the duelists that do enter Duel Links." Holy said. "For all we know, Demon King and his friends completely changed their avatars so that they wouldn't be recognized."

"Which is why we should keep our eyes open and be ready to take action." Feather said. "If Demon King happens to appear, we will have to take action ourselves. Not to mention that Drakken Joe wasn't the only cyber criminal. There are others out there as well." They all could agree to that. The virtual world is a wide and fast place where anything could happen. No wonder they feel the need to monitor it.

Duel Links

"Well, it wouldn't be the first time I got into some trouble." Wiseman said. "Better get a little work done than get out before I'm caught."

"Demon King? Yeah, we're tight. After all, he saved me because he's into me. Then again, who wouldn't be." Wiseman could see a crowd forming and it was all around Labillia, the rude video streamer that likes to bully Aoneko. "Sure, Aoneko might have been the one shooting videos of him, but he and I are real close. In fact, he told me that he saved all of Duel Links for me because he cares so much about me. He's a real fan." She's been saying a whole bunch of lies and the crowd was believing it.

"Unbelievable. Is she spouting lies about D.K. to make herself look more popular? Sounds like someone is getting jealous of Aoneko's latest success." Wiseman said. What he didn't know was that someone found him when he was suppose to be keeping a low profile.

"You're Wiseman, aren't you?" Wiseman turned around and saw a guy with green hair wearing an open jacket with a fur collar and showed off the tattoos on his body with some bling.

"Dang it. I was suppose to be keeping a low profile." Wiseman said.

"You should have." The guy said as he was looking for some trouble.

Shiki's Home

"You think Weisz is going to be okay?" Shiki questioned. "Maybe we should go in and check on him."

"Shiki, I know you would like to go back into duel links, as do I. However, I do believe it's best we remain out of sight." Homura said. "Everyone would love a piece of Demon King, but the people who run Duel Links see us as fugitives."

"Exactly." Eden said. "In the meantime, if you do wish to duel, you can just duel each other. If anyone sees, we'll just say we have similar cards to them." That wouldn't be too bad. Being real duelists, it's rather hard for them to ignore the call of wanting to duel. Just then, Rebecca was getting a notification.

"Looks like Labillia is streaming right now. Might as well check it out." Rebecca said as she watched the video.

"Oh my gosh! Wiseman has actually been spotted, but it looks like there's some serious trouble going on!" Labillia said in the video. Hearing that got their attention. They all looked in the video and could see smoke in there, and they also spotted Wiseman appeared to be hurt.

"Oh no! Weisz!" Rebecca said.

"What's going on in there? What trouble has he gotten into now?" Homura questioned.

"Initiate Link!" Both of the girls saw that Shiki was already jumping in.

"Shiki, wait!" Rebecca called, but it was already too late. "Should have known seeing Weisz in danger would have caused him to act first."

...

Duel Links

Rebecca's assumption was right. He dived right in the moment he saw Wiseman was in trouble. As he logged in, Demon King has returned to duel links. Once he logged in, he was near the location Wiseman was attacked in.

"Wiseman!" Demon King called as he hurried over to him. A lot of people saw him there and they were all happy to see him back in action. He just simply ignored them and went to where his friend might be. Once he arrived to the spot, he saw Wiseman limping through the place. "Wiseman!" He called as he hurried to aid him. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I'll be okay." Wiseman said.

"What happened to you?" Eden asked.

"Somebody attacked me out of nowhere." Wiseman said. "I don't know who the guy is. I've never seen him before."

"Just tell me where the guy is. I'll get him." Demon King said.

"That might not be the wisest decision." Eden said.

"I don't care. No one attacks my friends like this." Demon King said as it sounded like nothing was going to stop him.

"He jumped on a duel board and took off into the island." Wiseman said. "Look for a guy with green hair showing his bare chest with tattoos, but be careful. It doesn't look like he wants to turn us in. It looks more like he just wants some trouble."

"Well, he's got it. Eden, bring my board." Demon King said.

"While I strongly advise against this, I know I can't stop you." Eden said. She summoned Demon King's board and it flew right in. Demon King jumped right on and flew off after the guy that attacked Wiseman. If the guy whoever did this thinks he's going to getaway with it, he's got another thing coming.

"Oh my gosh! Demon King's return is bound to get me some hits!" Labillia said as she started filming.

...

Interstellar

"Sir! We've detected Demon King! He's returned to Dule Links!"

"He's what?!" Justice said. "Locate his precise location, and get me a visual as to where he is! Don't lose him!" Now that Demon King has returned, he doesn't plan to let him go.

...

Duel Links

"Wiseman said the guy that attacked him should be around here." Demon King said as he looked around for him. It didn't seem like there was anyone around.

"Above us!" Eden called. He looked up and saw someone coming straight down at him. He would have crashed right into them, but Demon King was able to move out of the way in time.

"I knew you would show up, Demon King." The guy said.

"You must be who attacked Wiseman. Why did you hurt my friend?" Demon King questioned.

"That was just to get you to come out of hiding." The guy said. "You see, you were the one I was really after. I want to see what you were made of."

"You were after us? Who are you?" Eden questioned.

"You can call me Shura. I've heard a lot about you, and I want to see for myself just what it is you're capable of." Shura claimed. "Before you go thinking I'm just another wannabe that wants a shot at the big timer, you should know that I'm not. I might have a couple surprises for you."

"I don't really care about that. You want to face me so badly that you had to attack my friend, you got it." Demon King said as he accepted his challenge. "Eden, are you ready for this?"

"I am. This Shura does need to be taught a lesson." Eden said.

"Let's have some fun!" Shura said as they were ready to go.

"Let's speed duel!" Both of them said as they were starting with 4000LP.

"I'm going first!" Shura said as he started this duel. "Since I have no monsters on the field, I can pay 800LP to summon this monster without a tribute. Dark G. Golem!" He summoned out a golem-like monster with it having 1800atk points, but his life points dropped to 3200. "Next, I'm activating Pressurizer! By destroying one rock-type monster, I can add another one to my hand. So, I'll destroy my golem!" He said as his golem appeared to be crushed. "That allows me to add Dark G. Igneous to my hand." He said.

"Dark G?" Demon King questioned.

"I did a quick search." Eden said. "It stands for Dark Gravity. They're rock-based monsters that is said to be comprised of meteorites."

"You mean space rocks?" Demon King questioned.

"Yes, but why would he destroy a strong monster to get a much weaker one?" Eden questioned.

"It's so I can use Dark G. Golem's ability! When he's destroy from an effect, I get two Dark G. tokens." Shura claimed as two pieces of rock appeared with 0def points. "I'm placing one face-down and ending my turn!"

"So, he traded away one big rock monster for two weaker rocks?" Demon King questioned as he didn't get it.

"I think it's obvious now. He must planning to use them to summon a monster that's much more powerful." Eden said.

"Well, that's not going to happen. It gives me the chance to try some new cards. My turn! I draw!" Demon King said as he drew his card. "I activate Wind of Edens! This allows me to summon Edens Sylph!" He summoned out a brand new monster that arrived in a gust of wind. It took the appearance of a young lady with her hair tied in a flowing tail and had a set of fairy wings on her back. She also had 1300atk points. "Next, I summon her big brother: Edens Ninja!" He summoned out another new monster that resembled a male ninja and it had 1600atk points. "When I have these two monsters on the field, Sylph's special ability gives both of them 400atk points!" Both of their powers raised to 1700 and 2000atk points. "Once I set a card, my Edens Ninja will break your token! Attack with Hi-Speed Slash!" His ninja attacked by crossing his arms and unleashing an X-shaped attack.

"I thought you knew better than that! Did you forget about my own face-down?!" Shura said as he activated it. "I activate Dark G. Elliptical! This prevents my Dark G. monsters from being destroyed by battle this turn!" The attack went completely around his monster like the gravity around them shifted. "Since they were in defense mode, I also don't take any damage. Don't tell me that's all you got."

"I'm only getting started. So go ahead and make your move." Demon King said.

"Gladly. My turn!" Shura said. "Time for that surprise. You'll get a kick out of this. I activate my skill!"

"His skill? Already?" Eden questioned.

"You might know it. I can compress the data around to add a card to my extra deck." Shura said. They couldn't believe it. Those who were watching couldn't believe it either.

"It can't be!" Demon King said.

"Impossible!" Eden said.

"Gravity Call!" Shura compressed gravity right into his hand. Data was gathering around it and was being compressed into a brand new card for him to use. They didn't think he could do it, but he managed to pull it off. A brand new card was formed right in his hand.

"He has the same skill we have?!" Demon King questioned.

"That's impossible! It's not uncommon to have the same skill as another, but that skill was designed specifically for you!" Eden said. How is it possible that Shura has the same skill?

"I now summon Dark G. Igneous!" Shura said as he summoned out another rock to the field with it having just 100atk points. "I will now build my circuit!" He called as he opened up the circuit. "The summoning conditions are three Dark G. monsters!" All three of his rocks went into the circuit and went in all three arrows on the top half. "I link summon Link 3 Dark G. Halley!" He summoned out a giant floating rock structure that had two large arms with glowing red eyes. It also had 2800atk points. "Now you're in trouble."

"That's got to be the monster his skill allowed him to obtain." Demon King said.

"This is unprecedented! Who is this man?!" Eden questioned. It seems like this isn't just a regular duel. Their first duel of their return has ended up being more serious than they thought.
