"...Project: Shadow... It was a secret government project to create the ultimate weapon for use against the supes in case they had gotten too powerful and out of control... Backed by GUN; an off the books black ops agency that didn't exist on any record... The head scientist hoped to create this living weapon and have it be immune to all diseases; hoping that his DNA could kill his ailing granddaughter Federick Vought was in envy at the work of the guy Gerald Robotnik; he could make Vought obsolete if he wanted to... It was theorised that the specimen that it created could kill Soldier Boy no sweat... You want Homelander dead; then this is the best bet..."
A secret black site was what Billy Butcher and his Boys had broken into; "So where is this Project: Shadow that Mallory sent us to retrieve..." Mother's Milk asked as they then found the containment tube. "You have got to be kidding me..." Mother's Milk muttered shaking his head as he looked at what seemed to be a living edgy cartoon character.
"She said to download this into the systems... Robotnik was working on some subliminal messaging tech... This is to send one that Mallory made; voice mimicry and will allow us to point this little bastard at the bigger one..." Butcher said putting in the CD to download into the pod with the data on the CD.
Shadow the hedgehog rode on his motorcycle that he had commandeered in New York as he was chased by the police cars; he slid down the road and then turned while still looking at the hapless officers who foolishly thought that they could stand a chance against the ultimate lifeform. But he had bigger fish to fry; he got the message that Maria left for him. She survived and was in hiding but he had to do things for her...
Take out threats to humanity's safety...
"Guns down everyone... Let me take care of this..." said a friendly voice as the officers coming out of the vehicles lowered down their weapons in awe as floating down was the smiling Homelander. Shadow glared at him.
Homelander; he is the biggest threat to humanity! You must destroy him Shadow! He works for those that tried to take me and Grandpa away...
"I have got to say... I wonder if you are some sort of Vought experiment that was kept hidden as no one had any knowledge or any file on you... But straight from the President's office; they said that you were to be KIA and no trace of you was allowed to continue to exist... That's too bad but hey... Who am I to turn down a direct order from my government?" Homelander asked casually firing up his heat vision and then firing at him.
"Chaos Control!" Shadow shouted and it like he teleported away and Homelander tried to find him but he was suddenly on top of him and charged right at him at a speed he thought even A-Train could match with all his Compound V addictions. Homelander felt it hurt bad as he was sent to the ground. "I am not impressed... I guess that's why I Shadow am the ultimate lifeform!" Shadow then said shaking his head making it clear in his voice that he wasn't trying to brag but was just stating a fact.
Homelander was angry at this short freak daring to call him the ultimate lifeform when existed. He then charged at him and he kept on disappearing. Homelander then managed to catch his wrists and pushed as hard on his wrist gauntlets as hard as he could they shattered.
"Do you know what you have done?" Shadow asked shaking his head as Homelander laughed.
"No... What?" Homelander asked as Shadow readied himself on the ground.
"Those were the only things holding me back..." Shadow remarked as with full power and full speed he charged at Homelander only to go right through him and was covered in his blood and organs. "He wasn't even tough enough for me to push at this speed and power..." Shadow sighed shaking his head.
Still more work to do Shadow and we will be reunited!
"I will take down the supes for you Maria..." Shadow swore as Maria's friends that helped freed him had given him the list of who to go after...
With the new remaster of Sonic Generations coming with new Shadow content and the highly anticipated Sonic 3 movie; this could be Shadow's year and though I prefer his blue counterpart, I am interested as well. Consider this a universe like in the movies though where they covered up the events of the first movie by making it seem like a mad scientist was going after A-Train and he was bribed to go along with it. Plus yes... I couldn't resist writing Shadow doing the Akira slide; one of the most iconic moments of anime movies from one of the most beloved and legendary anime movie not made by Hayao Miyazaki.
Plus I forgot to say this last chapter but I put up a TV Tropes page up for this story but had to leave out the number as it was impossible to put down as an article title for it so if you can; I would appreciate if you could help build it up. Thanks!
