Immunity Challenge
Day 14
"Come on in!"
Both tribes come marching in (not quite), ready to hear out todays rules. Hathuru's got smiles all around after the win.
Slade: It doesn't matter what we do tonight, we're ending it happy.
They come to a stop, ready for Jeff to talk his head off about their next tasks. "Here we are. Both tribes fighting to stay in the game once again. For today's challenge, each tribe will use one large log to smash through a wall. You'll then maneuver the log through a straight table maze. First tribe to get their long through the maze, and bang the gong wins immunity. Safe from the vote."
Welcome back, "Gate Crashers" from Cagayan.
"Losers, Tribal Council where someone's second chance will get crushed."
A disastrous fate.
"Loabi, you've got to sit someone out. It can't be Blu."
Gordon actually pitches in. "I'll take a seat." Once he heads to the bench, a Jeff faces the fourteen competitors, itching for a win.
Or is only one?
"I'll give you a moment to prepare, then we'll get started."
Sitting Out: Gordon
Both teams surround their logs. Gates won't be the only things crushed tonight.
"For immunity. Survivors ready?"
.
.
.
"GO!"
Both tribes lift that log, and prepare to ram. Loabi rams it through clean, while Hathuru takes a couple tries.
"Loabi's taking off early! Hathuru's got work to do."
Hathuru is..definitely not working. Metal and Sektor are taking their sweet time picking that log up. There's also less force on the ram with everyone else.
"Hathuru..what's going on?"
"It's very heavy." Sektor claims.
"ONE log's too heavy for a cyborg?" Jeff asks.
"This exact one."
While Sektor makes his excuse, Loabi's still running ahead. As they load that log on the maze, Sackboy looks back. "What are they doing?"
"Throwing." Cyrax answers working on that log. "I don't know why they want to ruin their chances, but it allows up to capitalize."
Chun and Diana jump in to help. Diana takes a quick glance over and finally, Hathuru breaks through the gate. Nobody's rushing to do anything, not even Metal.
"Hathuru, not in it at all!" Jeff criticizes.
"This guy…"
Diana: It's common for Metal to sandbag, but the WHOLE tribe doing it? They have devious intentions over there. I'd carry that tribe myself if I was there.
T'Challa's on a nice stroll to the table, and scoots that in. "How are we doing back there?"
As his tribe follows, Slade turns to Peach. "Just like we practiced?"
"I can't wait.."
The two cartwheel over to the table for..some reason. T'Challa shakes his head at the sight.
T'Challa: My pride hurts. But we are doing this for good reasons. Slade says it's good, I think it's stupid. Maybe this is why we never worked together.
As Hathuru "works" on the table, Metal mimicks a yawn.
"Hathuru has no hustle." Jeff's irritation comes out. "For a group of all stars we aren't competing like 'em!"
"Your insults tire me." Metal admits.
"I wouldn't get onto you if you'd actually compete."
"Aye, Jeff." Kano butts in. "Relax, chill—"
"RELAX?!" yells a miffed Jeff. "I'd rather have players who compete over players who give up!"
"How about you come down here and do it yourself?"
Jeff declines. "I'm just the host."
"Puss." Uh oh Kano..
"You calling me a coward?"
"Yeah!"
Peach sighs watching the scene. "He's too much. I can't wait to vote him out."
"Me too." Slade says, pretending to work on the log.
Slade: Just when I think my time Bomb can't get any worse, he picks a fight with the host. He's not my bomb anymore. He's already blown up.
Loabi's close to getting their log out. So close in fact, a majority just watch the drama unfold.
"Why are they being mean to Jeff?" Sack asks.
"They should know Jeff likes competitors." Chun-Li mentions. "I don't understand why they throw NOW."
"Yeah, but that Kano guy.."
"Don't worry, Sack. He's always like this." Li Mei interjects. "He paid for it once, he will pay for it again."
Li Mei: I don't ever want to repeat my mistakes. I've been more social, I've gotten into more conversations. I'm getting secondhand embarrassment watching Kano repeat his. Will he ever learn?
Pan over to Mac, in the same confession.
Mac: He could if he wanted to..but you know what he always says: "I WoN'T ChAnGE fOr AnYoNe." What makes it worse is that he does it in the WORST way.
Mei: Disappointing.
Back at the challenge…
CLICK!
Loabi's log is free! Diana gestures for her tribe to grab that log. That gong's not too far away..
GONG!
"LOABI…Wins immunity?!"
There's only light applause. Not even a group hug!
Sackboy: It's hard for me to..feel good about that. We didn't earn it.
Sigh.
Sackboy: At least I have more time with my friends :)
Both tribes reunite, and Jeff..he's not smiling at all. "Hathuru, we need to talk at Tribal. Clearly there's something I don't know about. Head back to camp, see you tonight." With that dismissal, those seven leave.
Peach: Jeff never sends the losers back first...wait. I know what happened! Kano's mouth has sent us into a scolding! Oh my..why does he do this?
That leaves Jeff with Loabi.
"Loabi..congratulations on the win."
"Are you okay, Jeff?" Sack asks.
"I'll be fine when they get me answers, Sackboy." Jeff responds. "I'll also chew Kano out for you. Anyways, head back to camp. Enjoy the night off."
The eight Loabi make the journey back. The last confessional before post-challenge goes to Sackboy. Dudes finally getting screentime at the end of all that.
Sackboy: I'm happy to be safe. I wouldn't want to watch all the shouting matches over there.
Hathuru
Day 14
Ellen Ripley, Kano, Metal Sonic, Princess Peach, T'Challa, Sektor, and Slade
The seven get back to camp, and unwind at the shelter. Weird to see the whole tribe together after recent events, but Tribal's coming close, and there's nowhere to run for some.
Peach isn't a downer about their throwing, though.
"I know we have our plans tonight…but at least we had fun together." She starts. "
That gets a smile from T'Challa. "Glad to see you in higher spirits."
Sektor definitely isn't.
Sektor: It is humiliating to lose endlessly. At least this one has a purpose. We cut one piece and leave the other in. There's also light at the end of the tunnel: I'm going nowhere.
Producer: Nothing about Cyrax?
Sektor: I have more things to fume over.
One by one, the tribe splits off, leaving Sektor alone with his boy Metal.
"Are you relishing this break?" Sektor asks.
"Very much." Metal says, lifting the machete. "I would like to thank Kano for shooting his own chances..but that would be horrible social game."
"You gloated in Samoa."
"NEVER AGAIN." Metal says. "I only keep the gloating to confessionals..and you..and Slade."
Metal Sonic: I'm relieved to get a break. Even for ONE night. After this is over, I will be the biggest target once again. From an overlord, to a plebeian. For now, I will "sip the tea" and watch my cast tear each other apart.
One of the targets, Peach, takes a walk with T'Challa.
"Is your pride hurting too?"
"Yes." T'Challa admits. "But as long as they stick to their words, we will be ok."
Peach bites her lip. "That's my concern..look at who we're playing with. Can we really trust someone like Sektor to keep his word? What if Metal's lying..AGAIN? Can we even trust Slade?"
"PEACH." T'Challa stops her. "Don't overthink it. We have Kano right where we want him. Nobody's breaking their word."
The princess covers her mouth. "Right. Don't ramble.."
"This pressure won't bother you, the more you get targeted."
"Still nervous."
"Well…" T'Challa tries to find something more assuring. "We will not let you go. Even if the tides turn."
"You and Ripley?"
"Yes." Dude didn't mention Slade.
Peach: I've never been a target before. What if they threw just to take me out? A swerve infront of another swerve?
She exhales.
Peach: Keep a straight face girl…
While she's stressed, Kano lounges on the hammock. His alone time is stopped to a halt when Metal shows up.
"Sup?"
"Your plan was pulled off to perfection." Metal praises. "All that's left is ripping a peach from its tree."
Kano chuckles at his bad wordplay. "Y'know, I could get used to this. Put more of our energy into that merge." he suggests.
"Are you suggesting we throw again?"
"We gotta cut T'Challa." Kano says. "No chance in hell he works with us."
"Cutting a challenge beast before the individual portion, will do us good."
That puts a smile on Kano's face. "They might as well just give us the money. Running CIRCLES around these people."
Kano: I'm playin' up me arrogance. Look like the asshole so people can take me further in the game. I don't care if people end up hating me at the end. As long as I can snag one of those spots. I'm Black Dragon, I don't care how much I get..just that I get SOMETHING.
Tribal Council
Night 14
Hathuru enters the Tribal Council Area, and go right for the firepit. Jeff awaits them with hands behind his back..and an unamused face.
"Dip your torches into the fire. In this game, fire represents your life. When it's out, so are you."
The eight light their torches and get seated. Jeff slaps his knee. "Before we get knee deep into the strategy, we gotta address the lack of it at the challenge. You were doing cartwheels, walking around, and even picking fights with ME. What happened?"
"We threw." Kano starts it off.
"Why?"
"We got people we want out. What else?" Kano asks. "Merge is coming. Might as well whip put the big guns for these next Tribals."
"Who?"
Peach raises her hand. "That would be me, Jeff."
"So Peach: you think Kano wants to finish the job?"
"I know he does. He was really condescending after Zelda's elimination." Peach reveals, getting a puzzled look from the host. "He pretended to give me advice, but was definitely looking to take me out anyway."
"Oh joy." Kano scoffs. "Don't play innocent."
"Is that all you say?" Ouch. "Don't fake this, don't fake that, but being 'real' like you only makes enemies. Nobody else would pick fights at the challenges, but here you are acting up. I don't understand why you can't just be normal. It's not difficult."
"I know you've been around asskissing frogs your whole life, but I don't have to kiss it either." Kano shoots back. "That's why you lost at your last Tribal, and that's why you'll bomb it again."
Jeff tilts his head. "Kano, you do realize that you can easily sabotage yourself in times like these..right?"
"My people got my back."
"Who are YOUR people?"
Everyone gives him a scornful eye, so he opts to protect his allies. "Can't say."
"You aren't willing to acknowledge your allies? How many do you really have on your side?" Peach asks.
"More than you." Kano laughs. "Let's face it. I'm an easy beat at the end. They know it, they'll take me and get the million. I'm still getting a piece of the pie anyway."
It's Jeff's turn to scorn him. "You didn't even come here to win?"
"They won't vote for me."
"So are you basically just..quitting?"
Kano smirks. "No. I'm just getting to the next day."
"It just sounds like your coasting..on a season where everyone wants it." Jeff emphasizes. "How do you think they feel when someone just stops caring. You're taking a seat from someone who wants it more."
"That's on them for losing."
T'Challa rubs a hand across his face. This dude… "What a slap in the face..but it doesn't surprise me. You never told Dark Samus about your immunity idol. Left an ally in the dirt."
"You kidding? She's Dark Samus. She'd have betrayed me by now." Kano snaps. "You mad I played an idol? Is that why you're such a hater?"
"I'm a hater because you're a douche." T'Challa with some fire! "Did anyone ask for you to tear down shelters, or talk down to people? NO. I've had to repeat myself over again about how badly you've been playing."
"Rant to someone who cares."
Wakanda's rep wears a steely glare. "Deny, deny, deny…"
Jeff takes his power back. "T'Challa, I've watched you go back and forth with Kano ever since THAT incident, and you like to come in hot." Jeff notes. "How will you react if Kano survives tonight?"
"I'd be honest about it. It's bad to keep someone like him around." He admits. "He hurts morale, and clearly: is the least trustworthy person on his tribe. Dare I say, in the game."
Kano shrugs. "High Horse doesn't get mutually beneficial gameplay."
"If I may.." Peach chimes in. "Keeping Kano around doesn't just bury him. It damages the game of everyone around him. If he has a vendetta against you, he'll keep reminding everyone. If he's WITH you..it puts a target on your back. Tremor, Kabal, Dark Samus, and if we merge: Hathuru will be targeted regardless."
Slade sets a finger on his chin. "Hmm.."
"Kano drags his alliances down, because they are guilty by association." Peach continues. "It's a sad fate for them, but history shows it's true."
Jeff nods along. "So Kano's like a plague?"
"That's too harsh, Jeff. Even for him..but he has an affect on perception." Peach clears up.
"Awww.." Kano cooes, only for her to turn away.
Jeff shifts his focus to Ripley next. "Ripley, you've been outspoken as well. Do you have anything to add?"
"Kano was being a dick to me too."
"What did he say?"
"Nothing different. Called me a snake and all that." Ripley explains. "But which predators more dangerous? The snake? Or the dragon?"
Jeff shrugs. "What kills faster? The poison or the fire?"
Sektor decides to interject. "This whole situation is ridiculous. If people learned to keep their mouths shut, this tribal wouldn't be nearly as long."
"It's a good thing we're speaking up.." Peach shoots back. "
"You have too much faith in him." Sektor responds, turning to Kano. "He's what I call..a bad boy. He snatched the fish me and my fellow machine captured, to have for himself." Despite reporting the crime, Sektor holds out a fist. "That only makes you a legend."
Kano bumps back. "Hell yeah."
While the rest address Jeff, Slade and Metal are behind the rest. "Think they fell for it?" Slade whispers.
"Certainly."
They snap their heads at Jeff before he can call him out. It seems like he's heard enough. "We have enablers, and haters on the same tribe. We'll see if throwing works out for someone..because it is time to vote. Kano, you're up first."
That criminal pops his wrists as he heads to the booth.
Kano: Jobs a job, Princess. Go find a man who'll pamper you, and tell you the bedtime stories your sensitive arse loves. (Peach)
Peach?
Peach: You are the rudest, crudest person I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. I've tried to see the good in everyone. There's none in you. You don't seek redemption. The only cure to your madness is a voteoff. (Kano)
Slade's in next…
Slade: You've slipped the most..and STILL had the chance to move on if you just kept your mouth shut..but you're Kano. Here's advice from one asshole to another: Change your game. (Kano)
Metal's in next..
Metal Sonic: Could have merged..yet you can't let yourself have good things. (Kano)
Ripley's in next…
Ripley: Get out. (Kano)
Sektor…
Sektor: For such a legendary assassin, you've taken the bait. Goodbye, Earthrealmer. (Kano)
T'Challa…
T'Challa: It would be my honor to write your name down for the last time. Maybe one day, you will learn from your mistakes. Until then, don't ever come to Wakanda with that attitude. (Kano)
After the votes are finalized, they get seated. That's Jeff's signal to fetch the urn. "I'll tally the votes…"
As he heads for the booth, Peach's hands cover her mouth, while Kano's got a smirk on. One of them will meet a deadly fate in this game. Who is the tribe fooling? The Princess or the fuckhead?
Jeff returns with the urn. "If anyone has a hidden immunity idol, or advantage they'd like to play: Now would be the time to do so."
.
.
.
Nothing.
"I'll read the votes." Jeff removes the lid and snags the parchment out. After ordering it for dramatic effect, he shuffles it into a neat pile. "First vote.."
.
.
"Peach."
Kano gives her a smug look. "Happy trails, Princess."
"Silence.." she says.
.
.
"Kano."
"Nice handwriting." Kano says.
"You don't need to mock me." The Princess snaps, seeing right through that.
.
.
"Kano."
The assassin cocks his head. "Ripley.."
She doesn't say a word.
.
.
"Kano."
Kano scoffs. "C'mon big T."
"You didn't know by now?" T'Challa asks.
.
.
"Kano."
That smug smile drops. "Are you f*cking serious?"
.
.
.
"Sixth person voted out of Survivor: Second Chance..Kano."
#Blindside
Kano grabs his torch. "Bunch a pussies."
Sektor adjusts his Metal dreads. "Says the liability."
"Now we're switching up, eh?" Kano asks, aiming his disgusted look at the cyborg. "You'll be the liability when Cyrax clocks your whole squad."
That gets Sektor out of his stump. "Big words coming from a two-time loser."
"I'm a loser, eh?" Kano gets right in his face! "Let's take 'er outside."
"Your threats don't intimidate me." Sektor says.
"Come over to Pondy and I'll kick your ass again."
Jeff and Peach get between the two, while Metal Sonic sets a hand on Sektor's chest. "Do not let him tempt you. He is simply not worth it."
"He's increasingly tempting."
"He wants you to hit him, leading to your own ejection."
Kano puts his hands up and goes to set his torch down. Jeff's sets his hands on hips, and some red shows up on his face. He's ready to yell at the Aussie any moment now..but he has a job to do. Staying professional, he grabs his snuffer.
"Kano, the tribe has spoken."
SNUFF..
"That was fast."
"Time for you to go."
Kano gives his tribe the finger, letting that say all he has to. As he crosses the bridge, he mutters to himself. "Buncha dumbasses." Yeesh, someone's upset. He ended up causing his own demise, he played himself! Had they just done the challenge like originally planned, he could still be here. But no. He just had to throw.
Once he's out of view, Jeff faces the cast once again. "I don't EVER want to see that behavior again. Got it?"
They all nod. Nobody wants to get ejected. Even if some don't really care about fighting or not, they're still riding on a win.
"Good. That right there is a good example on why you should ALWAYS consider other people in this game. If you treat them like trash, they won't treat you with kid gloves. Head back to camp, good night."
The remaining six Hathuru grab their torches, and leave the Tribal Council area. With Kano officially out of the game, this tribe can move onto new plans. With merge coming very close, some will need to execute their plans within the next few days.
Or else it could mean catastrophe for the planners.

Kano's Final Words
Kano: Ah hell. Those bastards got me. I set up a great plan and they used all that against me. Why get rid of the biggest prick? I'd have taken me to the end, but if these big baddies wanna care about feelings all of a sudden, let 'em. Won't win them shit. Who else are they gonna look to at a merge? Peach? Sackboy? They won't care about 'em until the end. This move sucks and now I look like an idiot.

Kano was a big character pre-merge, who really did it to himself. He pushed people away, was a dick, and ruined his game with all of Loabi. Tearing a shelter down is a no no in the game, but could be a "yes yes" for the audience. Nonetheless, he stuck to himself through and through as a real villain. He left Dark Samus in the dark about his idol, the idol that sealed her fate. He..tore down the shelter, and made the plan to throw. To cap it all off, he tried to get Sektor ejected. Sektor could have kept his face shut, but trying to fight someone on Survivor is too far. Megatron had to learn before him.
He also wanted Peach out, but everyone decided she'd be less of a liability. Kano got whacked by his own plan, the guy wouldn't let himself catch a break. He could have been useful for Slade or Metal Sonic, and he STILL got voted out. Is Kano the worst returnee (gameplay-wise) of all time? Who knows.
I'll be devoting more time to wrapping up "Mario and the Kingdom of the Apes", and another fiv I'm working on. So don't expect the next few chapters for a couple weeks. There could be one last premerge twist by the way ;)
Ticket out, have a good one!
