Hi! Lugal kug-ga here! I am a long time reader but a first time writer.
Imma say this now, I own nothing of the originals portrayed in this fic, I'm merely making an iteration.
And should you see some similarities with other fanfic Authors, it might be because I've…. copied it. Or took some parts of their works and incorporated it in mine. So, credits to them.
Enough of the boring A/N and onwards to the story.
I've committed to finishing this work, should it stop updating for a year, I've probably self deleted. So, sit back, enjoy, and review!
Chapter 7
——Overlord——
——Jean POV ——
Waking from her slumber, Jean's eyes fluttered open to behold the serene countenance of her Lord. Laying beside her, his golden eyes closed in peaceful repose, strands of crimson hair clinging to his brow with a sheen of sweat. As the memories of their intimate night flooded back, a delicate flush crept across Jean's cheeks. With a steadying breath, she reached out to tenderly brush his hair, allowing herself a moment to admire his features.
Ardeat, a figure both feared and revered throughout the realm of Yggdrasil, had ascended to lordship not out of ambition, but out of a steadfast commitment to safeguarding his creations. The very position of his throne within the Tomb of Avalon spoke volumes – facing the entrance, poised to defend against any threat that dared breach its sanctity.
Within the depths of the tomb, each layer housed its own marvels and mysteries. From the solemn mausoleum of the Entrance to the vibrant kingdoms of Egypt and Babylon nestled within the second layer, the realm bore the imprint of Ardeat's craftsmanship and vision. The third layer unfolded as an endless expanse of untamed wilderness, teeming with verdant forests and shimmering lakes, while the fourth layer boasted a meticulous recreation of ancient cities, their tiled roofs and paper walls echoing with the whispers of bygone eras.
Venturing deeper, one would encounter the majestic kingdom of Marble at the heart of the fifth layer, its grandeur epitomized by a colossal colosseum that stood as a testament to Ardeat's boundless creativity. And yet, beyond lay even greater wonders – from the enigmatic realms of the sixth, which is a realm of perpetual night and seventh layer which houses every creature of myth then to the illustrious Camelot, home to the lion king and guardian of the eighth layer.
But it was within the ninth layer that her Lord's true treasures lay ensconced – a veritable hoard of riches, from gleaming gold to precious jewels, from ancient artifacts to potent weaponry, all amassed over countless hardships of her lord. It was this wealth, this power, that drew the covetous gaze of would-be usurpers, their ambitions thwarted time and again by his indomitable might and his loyal subjects.
As Jean rose from her slumber, the blanket fell revealing her bare and beautiful figure. After picking up and putting on every piece of her clothing she sat beside Ardeat and caressed his head with a gentle smile.
"... Ardeat…'let it burn' huh." She said, saying one of the meanings of her lord's name as said by Nero. " Then, I, as your servant, shall do my best to turn the one who shall burn into the one who shall Love."
As the weight of responsibility settled upon her shoulders like a mantle. She gave him a kiss on the forehead. Then she stood and went towards the door. Turning her head back, she spoke. " Rest well My Lord."
With each stride down the dimly lit hallway, she found herself lost in contemplation, the flickering torches casting long shadows upon the walls adorned with tapestries and sculptures of ages past. Yet, her reverie was abruptly shattered as she collided with a figure clad in resplendent armor, the distinct visage of the lion king, Arthur Pendragon, looming before her.
An uneasy silence enveloped them as Jean offered a hasty apology.
"...my apologies, I was not paying attention to where I was going and accidentally bumped into you."
Then her gaze was drawn to Arthur's emerald eyes that gleamed with an inscrutable intensity. The tension thickened as Arthur's accusing gaze bore into her, After an uncomfortable drawn silence, Jean tried to excuse herself, as she was finally at arms reached from Arthur's back. Arthur finally spoke.
" …his chambers." This made Jean stop in her tracks.
".. you went out of his chambers." Arthur spoke with a flat tone.
"...we were merely discussing some things." She said, now facing Arthur.
"Does that discussion include you sleeping with our lord?" her voice laced with scorn as she questioned Jean's actions within Ardeat's chambers. "..whore."
Struggling to maintain her composure, Jean bristled at the veiled accusations, her own voice trembling with indignation. "I—do not call me su–!" " I shall call you whatever I deem you to be called. Wench."
Arthur spoke with a tone of authority while stabbing her sword on the marble floor, but ended only slamming into it without piercing through.
Jean shut her mouth at that action. But still looked at Arthur with a glare.
Seeing she stopped talking, Arthur now holding her sword at the side questioned. Her tone was heavy.
".. answer me. Did you slept with—"
Before the confrontation could escalate further, however, a voice rang out, cutting through the tension like a blade through silk.
"My, my, calm yourself down lion king. Before you do something untoward that which would make the praetor disappointed in you. You'd not want that, would you?"
It was Nero, her presence a welcome reprieve amidst the brewing storm.
"...This does not concern you, leave." Arthur said, turning towards the new arrival.
"Oh it does. Anything that concerns the Praetor is my concern." She said, still smiling.
"What about you then, my dear Lion. Why do you harbor such animosity towards our dear saint here, hmm."
"..."
"Is it perhaps because…the Praetor let her warm his bed?" She questioned with a tilt of her head. But her words managed to pluck Arthur's strings.
" Watch what you say, Nero. Or this blade shall find its way to your neck." She spoke with a Growl. Even if her expression is hidden by the helmet, the clenched fist holding the sword was trembling, showing her current emotional state.
" or maybe…are you jealo—." She did manage to finish her sentence, as a sword now rested upon her neck.
" Finish that sentence then your beautiful head shall roll on the floor." Said Arthur in a cold tone.
Raising her hand in surrender, her smiling visage still didn't disappear.
" Ara, ara, my bad, my bad. I won't, so would you kindly put down your sword? I still quite love my beautiful neck."
After a few seconds, Arthur finally removed her sword from Nero's neck. Sheathing it she turned to leave.
But stopped hearing Nero's next words.
"The Golden king calls for a gathering in his castle. He asked for the presence of every Overseer."
"...when?" She asked with her back towards them.
" At the earliest. Though I reckon it would start at noon."
Then, Arthur merely left.
Left were Jean, who seemed to sport a guilty expression, and Nero who's attitude she noticed after she appeared before her and Arthur was not exactly the same as her usual.
"Jean, my dear," Nero's voice was smooth as silk, a calm amidst the storm. "I trust your encounter with Arthur was not too distressing?"
Jean forced a small smile, though her thoughts churned with uncertainty. "It was... tense, to say the least. But I think she was merely concerned about the Lord."
Nero nodded, her gaze thoughtful. "...Indeed, But it might not be something as simple as a concern. But if it's you, I believe you can rectify this slight mishap and reach an understanding together, even if it is a rough endeavor. Remember, the bonds forged in adversity often prove the strongest. Umu, Take heed, for there are also others who seek the praetor's attention."
With those cryptic words, Nero turned to leave, her dress billowing behind her like the wings of a raven taking flight. Jean watched her go, a newfound resolve kindling within her heart.
——End of Jeans POV ——
——Ardeat's POV ——
As consciousness seeped back into him, Ardeat found himself gazing up at the familiar sight of his chamber ceiling. Rising from the bed, he stretched, his movements fluid and purposeful. His form was bare for the world to see, and a testament to his draconic nature, bore no traces of weakness or imperfection. Looking at his hands, and clenching them he could now clearly control his nature as a dragon thanks to Veldaruin, that which seeks wrath and destruction. Finishing analyzing his body, and seeing that it has no abnormality.
He wore nine rings on his ten fingers, and only his left ring finger was bare.
Usually in YGGDRASIL, one could only wear two rings, one on each hand. However, Ardeat had used permanent cash items (which were very expensive) to let him wear a full ten rings, one on each finger, and use all their powers at once.
This was not unique to Ardeat; most players who valued power would spend that money too.
One of the nine rings Ardeat wore had an emblem on it which bore a resemblance to the symbol of a Sheath Which was at his hip.
That ring was called the Ring of Avalon.
Although he could use the power of ten rings at once with the aid of cash items, when he applied the cash item, he had to decide which ring he wanted to assign to which finger, and that decision was irrevocable. Even so, Ardeat had removed the ring on his left ring finger and sent it to the Treasury. The reason why Ardeat did that is the same as how the Yakuza cut off their fingers as a form of punishment or loyalty. It could have been because of his own arrogance at that time, that no one was able to defeat him.
Alas, someone did. wearing shining platinum white armor, with a helm in the design of his chosen race, and a chest piece that has a huge sapphire embedded in the middle over the sternum/heart; the armor itself is described as radiating with a pure and divine light. He is also adorned with a crimson-red cape with gold accents attached around his left shoulder; as well as a draped coat tail from the hips of his armor at ankle length. Additionally, he is armed with both a sword and shield. The Paladin of the Guild Ainz Ooal Gown, Touch me.
Touch me, challenged him to a Duel of honor. And he accepted due to his Pride, bordering arrogance at that time. Even saying that he would give him a handicap, wearing only the Vitality ring, and should he lose, Ardeat would never use that Finger and its ring anymore.
Suffice to say he lost, rightfully so, underestimating his opponent thinking that it was already over when touch me's hp reached zero. Touch me used a paid item of resurrection, his hp returning to full bar. And with Ardeats nearly nearing zero, he fell from the power slash that touch me delivered on him.
You could say it was a wake up call for him. After that he honored his words and didn't wear the ring on that finger anymore. They've also become friends.
The power of the Ring of Avalon was unlimited teleportation between named rooms of the Nine layers of Avalons tomb, and it would even allow one to teleport into the Tomb from the outside. Since Avalon has a ward to block teleportation into or within itself (except for a few specific areas), this ring was very handy.
The only places where this ring could not teleport its wearer was to his personal room, but it could be used if one wanted to exit it.
This ring was also required to enter the Treasury, which was why he could not do without it.
The ring that he gave Jean is exactly the same as this ring.
Ardeat sighed deeply.
After this, he would be using the ring's power. He knows from analyzing it that it's ability to teleport is legit, but he couldn't help but sigh that one of magecraft lost from the age of the gods, he now used it this way.
Materializing his clothes and armor he stood up.
As he unleashed the ring's power — the world before him instantly turned black.
Right after that, the scenery in front of him changed, and his surroundings were now a bright hall of limestone and marble, crescent rising Thrones and a black oaken round table in the middle with 13 thrones surrounding it.
The hall's design was made following the Doric style. There are thirteen columns on both sides and six columns each at two ends. At the end of the tunnel he could see the Gigantic double doors, and his throne facing it. The hall was illuminated by the giant chandelier.
"It worked…"
Ardeat muttered to himself, relieved at the successful teleport. He walked down the wide and high hall, toward the lone throne ahead of him. The marble floor amplified the sound of Ardeats footsteps, and at times he could hear echoes. Looking around he only saw the oaken round table and the empty thrones with a door behind them. Their owners have returned to their designated layers.
He then decided to teleport to the hall of Gilgamesh's castle in the 2nd layer. Here he saw several heroic spirits seemingly gathered by Gilgamesh. Looking over the elevated platform where Gilgamesh's thrones were located, he saw him sitting there while his advisor stood beside him. Noticing his arrival, they all looked over at him.
Then Gilgamesh spoke.
" It seems you have woken up. Good timing, I was about to send someone to fetch you." Ardeat looked at the King of Uruk. the one who he modeled after the ancient king of sumeria, his caster form to be exact. He is the one who oversees every single one of his created NPC's or to what he got used to calling them, heroic spirits.
" …did something happen?" He inquired.
" Yes, as a matter of fact, the hassans have found something when they've investigated the surrounding area." he said as he glanced at the map of the surrounding area made by the hassans, spread out on the rectangular stone table.
" It seems we are currently located in the middle of a vast plane. They've scouted the area Within 10 mile radius, they've found some kind of fortress within the mountain range north east as well as some construct that seemed like a tower." He pointed towards the illustrations of a mountain range, then slightly downward, where the tower was supposed to be.
" And in the southeast is a body of water, maybe a lake. Then, to the north west and south west. It seemed they've sighted a trace of a city. We do not know yet if they have any connections to the fortress and tower." He said with a shake of his head.
"... hmmm, they've certainly worked fast. It's been only a day and a half, they've already managed to gather such Intel." Ardeat said with an appreciative tone. Taking the offered cup filled with wine. "Thank you." He said towards Gilgamesh's advisor, though it's more apt to call her a Secretary.
Bowing towards him before She walked back towards Gilgamesh's side. Her name is Siduri, wearing a dark green one piece dress but exposing her left arm. Also a cloth which covers her head. She has a transparent veil which does not hide her beautiful appearance and covers her face below the nose.
He might have been staring too much, because Gilgamesh's next words caught him off guard.
"... Shall I send her to your chambers?"
"Pfft!—'cough'! 'cough'! Wha—what are you saying!" Ardeat exclaimed, a hand to his mouth as he coughed, the drink entering the wrong pipe.
Receiving the towel Siduri offered and finished cleaning himself he looked around the other heroic spirit who was now also sporting an expression mirror that of Gilgamesh whose expression showed that of amusement.
"... don't joke around like that." Shaking his head, he tried to change the subject, an effort to preserve what dignity he had left. " …so? Did you send someone to investigate those cities?"
Though it seemed like Gilgamesh wasn't letting the matter go that easily. " I was not joking though." He said with a serious but mirthful tone.
"..." Ardeat, deciding to ignore the question, remained silent.
" Hmmm, or would you prefer someone who's more well endowed, maybe?" Again, he remained silent, but the giggles and chuckles of the others made it hard for him to hide his rising blush.
But thankfully, someone came to his rescue, it was in the form of a fully armored knight. " Enough. Do not make fun of the Lord, and get on with your explanation to his question." The hall became quiet as her words tinged with a slight tone of annoyance.
But the Golden king was not deterred, he merely smiled.
" Oh, I see you've finally decided to join us Arthur." He glanced at her. " And I was not making fun of him, I was merely trying to say that should he desire so, I shall send Siduri to accompany him for the night."
" And I'm saying that, it's not necessary." She said with a forceful tone. At that, Gilgamesh's smile just got bigger.
" Hmmm. I see, I see." he said while looking her up and down then nodding.
"..What?" She asked with a snark.
Gilgamesh glanced up and he spoke. " I see that you've already reserved yourself for that position?" the words nearly made Arthur draw her sword, if not for Ardeat coming in between them.
" Enough! Arthur, calm down. And Gil, that was uncalled for. She didn't do anything of the sort." He said, trying to alleviate the tension.
Thankfully it worked. As Arthur backed down and let go of the hilt of her sword, her expression cannot be seen under that helmet, but it seemed like she was sulking. While Gil merely shrugged and went back to looking at the map.
" I have planned to send Cu, Achilles and Sasaki towards the city in the northwest." Looking over towards the three who nodded with a smile, though Cu's smile is that of a blood thirsty one, holding his red spear over his shoulder.
"While, three knights of the round table towards the southwest, specifically, Bedivere, Gawain and Gareth." he said towards the three knights behind Arthur.
"Nero, Siegfried, and Chiron shall be sent towards the direction of the fortress and gather what information they can get. The hassans shall of course accompany them to relay information back here. As for the lake… what say you, shall we go fishing for a change?" Plenty of cries of agreement and discussion on what to bring came from those gathered. Not wanting to pass up on some outings.
" …hmmm, that's great. I'll trust in your judgment." Saying so after contemplating everything. " By the way, where's Nero?" He asked, looking around and not spotting Nero. But he need not look any further because her voice sounded in the direction of the entrance alongside the sound of her footsteps.
" I have arrived, praetor. And no need to worry, Gil has already informed me earlier of his arrangements."
Turning towards her, Aldeat saw the Queen of Rome in her regality, with her Corona triumphalis a golden laurel wreath rested upon her head.
"... I see" he said briefly before quickly looking away. Why did he even design her exactly as the original! While he was agonizing over Nero's revealing dress, Gil addressed the Queen of Roma.
" Are your preparations done already?"
"Umu, I and The others could depart anytime." She nodded at his question.
After that, they and the concerned parties discussed the specifics, then it devolved to mere casual talks. Ardeat merely stood aside and watched them with a faint smile.
After two hours, the meeting neared its end.
" Then, that is all, should you have any more concerns, just discuss it with the Overseer of your layer and they shall convey it to me. You're free to do as you please, but until we still have no knowledge of the surroundings, even if you could be revived using「Resurrection」, I advise you not to leave Avalon. Well then, meeting adjourned." Gil said, standing up.
At that, every heroic spirit dispersed and left after, bidding Ardeat goodbye. The only ones who remained were Gil, Siduri who stood beside him holding a tablet, which she had recorded the contents of the meeting. Nero, Ardeat and Jean, who now stood there before he even knew it, and as if nothing of the sort happened last night, but still, her cheeks were tinted with a slight blush.
Arthur was the last one to leave, looking at Ardeat and hesitating over leaving or staying, but she still had duties to do, so she left. But not before giving Nero and Jean a Glare which was noticeable even with her helmet.
"...hmmm, I see." Gil spoke after noticing Arthur's attitude towards Jean, and Nero's uncontrolled smile while looking at Jean, and the girl's mannerism. Thinking of the Lion king's apparent Irritation when Gil mentioned sending Siduri towards Ardeat's quarters, he grinned.
" …what." Ardeat asked, feeling uncomfortable with the look Gil was giving him.
"It seemed like the suggestion to send Siduri to your chambers had been moot." Gil said, his grin now, became a full blown smile.
Ardeat's brow now twitching at his words looked towards Jean. Then, golden Reptilian eyes met that of golden yellow.
The tension between them was palpable, and Ardeat couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable under Gil's watchful gaze. But he knew that he couldn't put aside the issue anymore, not when there were still so many unknowns in their current situation. But that doesn't mean he's not going to have a slight revenge.
" …how is Enkidu doing?" He spoke while sporting a grin. But it had an unexpected reaction to what he was expecting.
"..pfft, hahaha, ahahahaha! M–my my, I didn't know the king swung that way." He said amidst his uncontrollable laughter.
"Wha–! No!" He exclaimed, then cleared up the misunderstanding before it was too late.
"Well, I'm not one to judge the supreme being." Gil said. Having stopped laughing but still sporting an amused smile.
" I told you it's not like that!" he argued one last time before remaining quiet, standing there with crossed arms and an annoyed expression and looking away from Gil.
…
…
"Well, I'll leave you to your own devices then." Gil said, breaking the silence. "I'm sure you have much to discuss."
Ardeat nodded, and Gil left with Siduri in tow.
As Gil departed, Nero leaned in close to Jean, her voice barely above a whisper, "You really know how to surprise me, don't you? Umu, I didn't expect that after our talk you'd decided to give your answer that very night." Jean's cheeks flushed a deeper shade of red, a shy smile playing on her lips in response to Nero's teasing remark.
Turning her attention to Ardeat, she then walked towards him. Then unexpectedly Nero gently placed her arms around his neck, hanging over him due to their height difference, a warm smile gracing her features, and her eyes one of mirthful expression. "So, Jean managed to sneak under your blanket, huh?" she chuckled softly, noticing the faint blush that colored Ardeat's cheeks. "Umu, You're quite the duo," she added with a playful glint in her eyes.
Ardeat, caught off guard by the unexpected turn of events, couldn't help but smile wryly at that "it wasn't her fault, it was because I couldn't manage to suppress my nature." he replied with a shake of his head and an awkward yet firm tone.
At his answer, Nero's expression couldn't help but soften.
"... yeah, I guess." She said with a smile, but he felt that she had more to say but didn't comment on it.
Then Nero Did something that he didn't expect when Jean wasn't looking. Nero leaned in to give him a quick peck on the cheek, "Take good care my Praetor and wait for the stories we shall bring back. It shall be beautiful, but it won't still compare to the beauty of the Flower of Olympia, which is I!" She said with a vigorous and lively tone. Ardeat, despite being dumbfounded with her actions, still nodded in agreement, appreciating Nero's words. "... I will then, I look forward to it." Smiling as he said so.
With a final farewell and a knowing smile, Nero bid adieu not after saying something to the now blushing pair, leaving behind an awkward but sense of warmth and camaraderie lingering in the air.
…
….
As Jean and Ardeat stood in the now empty Hall of Gil's Palace, a palpable silence settled between them, thick with unspoken words and emotions. Ardeat, feeling the weight of the moment, finally broke the silence, his voice soft yet determined, "...Would you mind accompanying me to my chambers? There's something important I want to talk with you about." At his words, Jean nodded, her smile gentle and understanding, then they made their way to Ardeat's chamber via teleportation of the Ring of Avalon.
Upon entering his chamber, Ardeat led Jean to the balcony that overlooked a vast forest, the tranquil scenery spreading out before them like a painting come to life. The Chamber was connected to several of the layers of the Tomb of Avalon, but it's not possible to enter it via his chambers, should intruders manage to enter it. This particular view in the balcony connects to the Layer of the vast forest, offering glimpses of serene falls and ponds in the distance.
Standing side by side, both gazing out at the natural beauty before them, a comfortable silence enveloped them. Ardeat, after a moment of contemplation, turned to Jean with a mix of sincerity and regret in his eyes. "... I'm sorry, I failed to control myself, and for that, I am truly sorry if I made you experience something unforgivable."
Jean met his gaze with understanding, her expression soft and reassuring. "...My lord…it was my choice to offer myself to you. I have willingly chosen to serve you in that way, without regrets. So you have no need to apologize." Her words were spoken with a hint of bashfulness, her cheeks tinged with a delicate blush as she glanced away momentarily.
Ardeat's initial seriousness melted into a warm chuckle, a genuine smile gracing his features. "...Thank you, Jean. Your acceptance and understanding mean more to me than you know."
Jean, surprised by his laughter but touched by his gratitude, met his smile with her own. "You're welcome," she replied, her voice filled with sincerity and warmth.
The air was light and serene, a stark contrast to the tension that had once lingered between Jean and Ardeat. Their shared moment of vulnerability and understanding had deepened their connection, paving the way for a newfound sense of trust and an unexplained emotion between them.

—Arthur/Artoria POV —
As Arthur strode through the halls of Avalon, her thoughts swirling with the duties and responsibilities that lay ahead, she was suddenly joined by Merlin, the Magus of Flowers. His presence was announced with a flourish of flower petals, and he appeared by her side, chattering away about his interactions with various female heroic spirits.
Merlin's frivolous tone and lighthearted banter about his romantic exploits, or lack thereof, were a stark contrast to Arthur's focused and determined demeanor.
"Ah, my king, you should have seen the way she looked at me! It was as if I was the only one in the room. But alas, I am a man of duty, and I cannot be swayed by such fleeting desires."
Arthur, her patience wearing thin, cut him off. "Merlin, what is it that you want from me? Why are you here?"
Merlin, sensing Arthur's impatience, replied with a knowing smile, "Is it not enough for me to simply wish to spend time with my king? To offer my counsel and support when needed?"
Arthur, however, remained silent, her eyes narrowing as she glared at Merlin. The silence between them grew heavy, and Merlin, sensing her displeasure, sighed before offering some advice.
"...Arthur,I urge you to consider your actions and the consequences they may have. It is important that you express your true feelings to our lord, before it is too late and your heart becomes frozen, leading you to do something you may regret."
With those words, Merlin once again disappeared in a burst of flower petals, leaving Arthur standing alone in the hallway, lost in thought. A grimace appeared beneath her helmet, and she clenched her armored fist in frustration.
After a few minutes of standing there she Continued on her way, Arthur eventually reached her office, where she found Guinevere, her consort, waiting for her.
Guinevere, a noble woman through and through, supported Arthur in all her endeavors, and yet, Arthur couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered within her.
She hesitated, unsure whether to confide in Guinevere about her current predicament. After all, they were married, bound together by the will of their creator. But the thought of being married to someone of the same gender was still a foreign concept to her, one that she struggled to come to terms with.
As she stood there, lost in thought, Arthur knew that she had to make a decision. Would she confide in Guinevere, or would she keep her feelings to herself, locked away in her heart? Eventually she did.
After a moment of hesitation, she decided to confide in her consort. At which Guinevere smiled and offered her opinion. "Why not just tell our creator what you truly feel? It may help to alleviate some of the weight on your shoulders."
Arthur considered Guinevere's words, her mind racing with thoughts. "What if my feelings are a result of his design? Would I feel betrayed?" she asked, her voice laced with uncertainty.
Guinevere shook her head. "If your feelings were not already there from the moment of your creation but recently, and you have not noticed our lord tampering with your design, then perhaps they are truly genuine and of your own. But it is important to be aware of any changes or manipulations"
Arthur considered this for a moment before nodding in agreement. "You're right. I must trust in my own feelings and not let fear dictate my actions."
"...Guinevere, I apologize…. despite our bond in Matrimony, I dare ask for your counsel on my feelings for another." Arthur admitted, her voice quiet.
Guinevere smiled softly, her eyes filled with warmth. "Arthur, you need not apologize…but if your feelings for him are true and not influenced by our creator's design, then there is no need to worry. But if you have any doubts, it may be worth discussing with our creator," she suggested.
Arthur returned Guinevere's smile, her heart filled with gratitude and love. "...Thank you, Guinevere. Your support means the world to me," she said, her voice filled with emotion.
Guinevere smiled, her eyes filled with warmth. "Of course, Arthur. I am here for you, always. But do not forget that I am your wife, and I deserve your attention as well," she reminded her, a playful glint in her eye.
Arthur giggled now more at ease, reassuring her consort. "Of course, Guinevere. I will make sure to pay you the attention you deserve." she promised, a smile on her lips.
Taking a seat, Arthur and Guinevere continued their conversation, delving deeper into their feelings and the dynamics of their relationship.
"Guinevere, I must admit that I sometimes struggle to reconcile my duties as an Overseer of the Guardians of our layer with my personal feelings. It can be overwhelming at times, I know it was an honor bestowed upon me by the supreme being, but…" Arthur confessed, her voice tinged with frustration.
Guinevere nodded, understanding the weight of Arthur's responsibilities. "Arthur, it is important to find a balance between your duties and your personal ones. Perhaps setting aside dedicated time for relaxation and self-reflection could help alleviate some of the pressure, I'm sure our Lord would be willing to grant that much. I heard Gil has proposed a visit to the discovered lake in the south east. Why don't we go and have some relaxing time?" she suggested.
Arthur considered Guinevere's words, her expression thoughtful. "You're right, Guinevere. I will make preparations then, I'll leave the duty of management to the knights for at most three days, in which we are free to do anything we want…just the both of us." she promised with a smile, to which Guinevere blushed, but her eyes filled with pride.
" I–I see, the–then, I'm looking forward to it, Arthur." she said, her voice Bashful yet filled with sincerity.
With that, the atmosphere in the room became more relaxed and comfortable, as Arthur and Guinevere continued their conversation, their bond growing stronger with each passing moment.
