60. Training sessions

Kara opened her eyes slowly, feeling a great sensation. It has been a long time since she felt that way, like in cloud 9, and wouldn't mind if she could stay the whole day like this.

- Good morning – She felt a kiss in her neck and smiled, turning around

- Good morning to you too – She said, giving Oliver a peck on the lips

Kara touched his shoulder and Oliver hissed a bit. She looked worried at him.

- I'm so sorry for that…

- It's ok, totally worth it. – He smiled, looking at her with full admiration – At least my nose is intact.

Oliver teased, making Kara laugh.

- Can we spend the day here, please? – She said as she came closer to him, giving him slight kisses on his neck and cheeks.

- As much as I would love to, we can't… You won't escape me.

- Oh right… training… Why do we need to, again?

- Because if you lose your powers again, you can be prepared for whatever it comes.

- But I know how to fight.

- I know you do, but even your sister agreed that is good to update your techniques.

Kara kept staring at him, hoping it would change his mind. It worked every single time.

- No, not the puppy eyes. – He said, closing his eyes – it won't work.

- I had to try – She laughed

- We can stay in bed afterwards.

Kara embraced him once more and gave him a full kiss on the lips, her legs intertwining with his. She caressed the back of his head and Oliver started giving in, adding more passion to their kiss, until he rested his forehead on hers.

- Nice try.

Kara exhaled, giving up while Oliver stood up.

- It's hard to get up with this vision I have in front on me – She said, looking knowingly at him.

- Kara Danvers you weren't like that… Did I ruin you?

- Maybe – She smiled at him, turning around and also getting up.

- My vision is also stunning.

Kara blushed and grabbed her clothes. She put them on and turned her head towards Oliver.

- Well, you said we have to trai, so… Let's do it. But first, breakfast!

Oliver looked at her and smiled back, knowing he was about to witness something he was still not used to, even after two years together: see Kara consume 5 times more food than he could.

Later at the DEO, Kara and Oliver stared at each other inside the training room. Oliver had a button on his hands.

- Alex agreed on having red solar panels here, so we could train with you having no powers.

- Why? You know you can't beat me with powers – She smiled, teasing him.

- The point is for you to be better when you have none, so yes, we are going with no powers for now… And I won't comment on that affirmation.

Oliver pressed the button and the room went all red. Kara started feeling more vulnerable, but she still knew how to fight, so she was ok with that. She trusted Oliver with her life.

They were together for two years now, it all started a few months after she went to Earth one to help Barry with the Dominator invasion. They had a rough start, with him siding her and she getting really pissed at him, but then she saved his life and he apologized. Since then, she popped up sometimes to help them or just visit, Oliver and Barry came once to help her train the Guardian and they started seeing each other. A few months later, she suffered an attack and lost her powers and it almost got her killed. Since then, Oliver has been worrying, warning her it could happen again and new moves with training could help her if it ever happened again.

Oliver showed her a few things he had learned, like the trick where he can fake being dead, among other things he learned over the years. Oliver knew Kara was good and strong, but he worried about even more when he almost lost her. He remembered feeling desperate and like somehow it was his fault, even when Alex told him over and over again he wasn't to blame. He felt he could be more present, visit more even if things on Earth 1 was also crazy as hell.

- So, I just go like this? – Kara said as she turned around and surprised him attacking from behind, holding his neck. – That's too violent

- But it can save your life – Oliver deflected her next attack and switched positions, holding her from behind – Never lose focus.

- Got it.

The room went all dark and its lights changed. Kara looked around, confused.

- What is going on?

He smiled as he grabbed Kara's hand and stared deeply into her eyes.

- I can't stand this band, but I know you love them, so… I thought this was perfect. I'll die denying it, but this song its good.

- I knew deep down, you liked them.

- Not them, this song…

Oliver took two steps forward and held Kara by her waist, slightly bringing her closer to him.

- I spent five years in hell, not knowing if I could ever see my family again, or be able to go out, have a few drinks, and fall in love again… I did many stupid things in the past and all of that time away, having to survive, it changed me. I also became the worst. I did many things I regret now, and even if people told me it was necessary, it still made me feel bad. But you believe in me. You saw something I didn't see. You are the kind of person that sees past the surface, that can understand things that others can't. You are compassionate, pure, strong, beautiful inside and out, and I feel lucky that you said yes to me when I asked you to be my girlfriend.

Kara stared at him, with her eyes battling the tears. She felt her heart skipping a bit at each word that came out of his mouth. She looked startled as Oliver went down to his knee and opened a blue velvet little box in front of her.

- I can only hope you say yes again, because I can't imagine my life without you.

Kara covered her mouth with her hands, looking shocked.

- Kara Zor El, would you be my wife and make me the happiest man alive?

- Yes.

Kara didn't even think twice and Oliver got up, smiling also in tears at her. She jumped him, giving him a passionate kiss, the most passionate one she ever gave him. She had no way to explain to herself what she felt inside, because each day that passed by, she noticed she was even more in love, but was too afraid to let others know. Because every time she felt this way, something bad happened. But somehow, Oliver made all her fears and traumas go away and she couldn't wait to spend the rest of her life loving him and saving the world by his side.

- I love you – She told him once they broke the kiss apart.

- I love you too – He caressed her cheeks, kissing her one more time
