63. What happens in National City...

Kara turned off her phone and smiled to herself. It was a new world, one with all her super friends living on the same Earth, things were a bit crazier than before and she knew it, but she couldn't help but feel less alone. She was always surrounded by her friends like J'onn, Nia, Brainy, her sister Alex, she had Eliza and all, but they never actually understood her, what she had been through the way she saw things. Somehow, Oliver, Sara and Barry, even being humans, they have been through similar challenges and hardships, so she felt a bit closer to them than others. Sometimes she doubted Sara was actually human, for the amount of times she died and came back to life, but that was another story.

She finally convinced them to hang out with her in the alien bar in National City, so she could show them how an amazing place it was. Not that they didn't want to, but they were always dealing with end of the world problems, so they never actually had time for that. But now they had, and she was excited. She texted them the address and agreed to meet them there. She put her favorite jeans, a grey sweater, let her hair down, put her fake glasses on and left her apartment.

- Hey there. – She said as she greeted Oliver as he was the first to arrive.

He smiled, greeting her back and sat across from her in the booth.

- How are you? – Oliver asked, noticing there was something different with Kara today.

- I'm great. And you?

- I'm amazed with the fact that a speedster and a time traveler manage to be late every time we go out. – Oliver teased, making Kara laugh. – Other than that, I'm just fine… From someone that came back from being a Spectre, at least.

- Oh, you get used to it. Coming back to life is a piece of cake – Sara said as she arrived and sat next to Oliver, nodding at the two of them. – Sorry, team screwed up at the last minute, had to fix it.

- And what else is new? – Oliver said as he stared at his phone. – Barry's here.

Barry arrived and sat next to Kara, apologizing for being late.

- Well, since we're all here now… - Kara said as she smiled at the three of them. – This is where all aliens from everywhere come to hang out, a place where they can be themselves… And they have cool drinks…

- This is really cool, Kara. – Sara said as she looked around, admiring the place and its people. It felt good to be in a place where people could just be themselves, no judgment. – And I want to know more about those drinks… Tell me everything!

- They have some drinks that actually work on us, aliens.

- So, you can get drunk? Oh, I so want to see that! – Oliver looked at Kara with curiosity.

He knew many things had zero effects on her, and he always wondered what Kara would be like if she could get drunk. He never knew why he wondered that but he was indeed curious. Barry also couldn't get drunk, given the fact he's a speedster, but Oliver got to see him drunk once and it was the funniest thing he had ever seen in his life. Barry just behaved like a lost kid that was too happy because they won some candy, in his case, alcohol.

- Yes… It's not very nice afterwards, but…

- But it's worth it. C'mon, a little hangover doesn't hurt – Sara said – Lead the way, it's your job today to introduce us to those new things since you know the place.

Kara looked at Sara and smiled, agreeing with her. It has been a long time since she stopped a few minutes just to have some fun with her friends. She loved being Supergirl, but she felt the need to press pause and just take deep breaths sometimes.

Sara went to the bar with Kara's suggestions and ordered some drinks. Barry got up to help her. As soon as he grabbed half the drinks he brought them back to the table ad noticed Sara was still in the bar, distracted with some girl that was asking her something. Barry saw some alien trying to add something to Sara's drinks, he let the drinks on the table as fast as he could.

- I'll be right back

He moved fast and in seconds, he was back in the bar, in his Flash suit, grabbing the alien by his collar.

- What happened? – Sara looked confused. She was just a bit drunk and just sipped a bit of the drink, feeling dizzy.

- He drugged your drink! Why did you do that? – Barry said as he looked mad at the alien – What was that?

- Nothing… just alcohol… - The alien said, gasping

Sara tried to take two steps forward and started to fall down, but Barry dropped the alien on the ground and ran to catch her, just in time. Kara nodded at Oliver and used her super speed while he ran towards Barry and Sara. Kara came back as Supergirl and grabbed the alien before he could go anywhere.

- Are you ok? – Oliver said, grabbing her glass and smelling it. He looked at Barry – Is not poison.

- Yeah, I'm just… - Sara got up, smiling at the both of them – I'm just really… Really… I want to party, c'mon… Otherwise I'll party alone… At home… - She said almost in a whisper to Barry

- Hey… - Barry held her by her waist, getting her hair from her face – you can't be alone like this, so… - He looked at Oliver.

Kara approached the tree of them after dealing with the alien, something that made Oliver feel really proud of by the way.

- He told me he wanted to ask her out, and just added a special alien drink so she could say yes.

- This is… - Oliver said, feeling really angry about that, and wanting to smash that alien face.

- I know – Kara said as she crossed her arms – He's locked up now. He won't harass or drug anyone else!

Oliver reached for Sara and brought her to the table while Barry and Kara vanishes and came back in regular outfits. Kara came from the bathroom and a few minutes later Barry came from the bar's entrance.

- So… - Kara said as she sat on the booth by Oliver's side and Barry reached for Sara, worried about her.

- Guys, I'm fine… - Sara said after drinking some water – That was just really strong, but I'm already feeling it wear off… Don't worry.

- Well, I'm sorry but we do worry – Kara said, pretending not to notice she was almost glued by Oliver's side, from how close she sat next to him, unintentionally.

- Let's not spoil the night, ok? – Sara looked at the three of them, feeling a lot better – I just need to stay away from that drink, anything else, I can handle!

- I believe you… - Oliver said – We're all here for you as well, so…

The four of them drank some other stuff Kara suggested them and were laughing and chatting, when Barry looked at the stage, feeling excited out of sudden.

- Kara, is this karaoke night?

- Oh Yes! I forgot! – Kara clapped her hands together and stared at them all, even more excited than Barry. – C'mon, let's do it!

- Oh, no, no, no… - Oliver said as he laughed nervously. He was not the singing kind of guy. Not at all

- Oh Yes! – Sara said, getting up and already walking to pick a song.

- Are you sure you won't join us? – Barry asked Oliver

- 100% Sure!

- It's your loss – Kara gave him the tongue, laughing and followed Barry and Sara.

Sara really tried hard, but was destroying the song. She had a nice voice, but not being drunk, and she didn't care. She just danced and sang her heart out, making everyone laugh.

- As a singer, she's a great fighter! – Oliver commented while laughing as well, from the table.

Oliver saw Barry and Kara take turns on the stage and dominate it for at least half an hour. They could really sing, even drunk, and Oliver was actually enjoying Kara's sweet voice. Kara approached the both again and sat across Oliver while Sara kept trying to sing something and Barry laughed at her.

- You have an amazing voice, Kara – Oliver said, making her blush and nervously fix her glasses on her face

- Thank you. I really like singing. It's fun.

After a while Sara and Barry came back to the table, noticing Kara was a bit happier than normal. Sara and Barry sat once again across each other and Sara turned to her side, noticing Oliver was finally drunk.

- It took you longer this time… - Sara laughed

- It might be experience… - Barry laughed as he drank a bit more of the weird blue drink he ordered from the bar. That thing was really heaven, and a bit better than Cisco's drink that could make him drunk. – What you guys are up to by the way?

- I'm trying to convince Oliver to sing! – Kara said a bit slower, laughing afterwards.

- Well, we can always make things interesting… - Sara said as she looked from Oliver to Kara.

- I won't sing! – Oliver said, having another sip of his drink.

- Wait for it… - Sara said as she looked excited.

Barry looked at her, worried about what she was going to suggest them, giving the fact that she was usually wild and now she was drunk with them, God knows what she would invent.

- Let's make a competition between the two of you. And Barry and I will be the judges.

Barry left a breath he had no idea he was holding, out. He felt relieved but at the same time curious. This was going to be fun.

- Whoever drinks this faster, wins. And the winner gets to ask whatever they want from the loser. – Sara said as she poured the drink from the blue bottle she had in her hands, into two glasses.

- This stuff is really good, but really strong – Barry said, already smiling at Kara and Oliver. – By the way… No powers allowed – He looked straight at Kara, that pouted at him.

- Well, this sounds fair – Oliver looked at Kara, challenging her – I'm in.

- So am I! – Kara slapped the table and almost turned it, Sara and Barry grabbed it fast and laughed. – Sorry, got too excited.

They all prepared for the challenge. Kara had no idea what was going on into Oliver's mind but she was sure about making him sing, finally. And she would pick the song. This was too good to be true, she would even film it and keep it forever in her phone, so she focused on the task ahead because she had to win.

- And… GO! – Sarah yelled, excitedly.

Kara and Oliver picked up their glasses at the same time and started to drink. Barry looked surprised to see Kara swallowing it all at once, not even blinking it. Oliver was used to drinking a lot, he knew it, but there was no way he would win this one. He never imagined he would see Kara like this one day.

- Wow, Kara really wants Oliver to sing… Well, if I'm being honest, we all want to see it – Sara laughed as she paid attention. – AND…WE HAVE A WINNER!

- YES! – Kara said as she put the glass back on the table, breaking it by accident. – Oops… I'm too excited… - She looked around, laughing and cleaned the mess quickly before any of her friends could hurt themselves.

- Damn it! – Oliver looked annoyed at his friends.

- So… Which one it will be? – Kara said, teasing as she pretended to think about what song she would tell him to sing.

- I guess Fly Me To The Moon by Sinatra is a good choice… - Barry said as Oliver looked at him like he could murder him. Barry laughed

- I don't know… I think the Pussycat Dolls would be better… Imagine Ollie singing Don't Cha? – Sara laughed, making Barry and Kara laugh as well.

- Don't worry, I won't be this cruel – Kara said as she looked at Oliver – Even if it's a great song… I'll go with Sinatra. C'mon Oliver!

Kara gestured for Oliver to go to the stage and he did, still looking annoyed while the others laughed. Oliver thought about it while the music started and it wasn't actually that bad. It was kind of fun. Kara looked surprised at him as she enjoyed the song and Oliver started to let it go little by little, feeling more comfortable. Kara watched as Oliver started feeling the song and she had to admit he had a great voice for this kind of song. She would definitely try to hear him sing it more often. She started smiling without realizing and suddenly, a weird feeling took over her. She knew she was drunk, but she was actually enjoying the view and what she was hearing. She blinked twice as she noticed Oliver gesturing for her to go up on stage with him and she didn't even think twice. She got up there with him, grabbed the other mic and started to sing with him. It felt warm and comfortable and special.

Sara got up and grabbed Barry's hand to follow her to the free space they had in front of the stage.

- I want to dance – Sara said as she gave a small push and Barry stumbled on his own feet, ending up really close to her, even more than he thought it was possible to be.

- Sure – He said, hypnotized by her deep blue electric eyes. – She reached for his hands and put them in her waist as she slowly moved her body against his.

- This is nice – she said in a whisper, making Barry's heart jump from his chest.

Barry smiled, as she kept moving in a way that it was definitely making him feel things. She turned his back to him as her back rested on his chest. His hands were on her belly and she kept dancing and moving against him and Barry felt the need to take deep breaths and think about something else, like Cisco's socks when he crashed on his friend's apartment once. But Sara wasn't making things easy for him. She turned around once again and approached her lips to his ears.

- I know you want me… - She teased, feeling him taking a deep breath.

- We're both drunk and…

- And it's ok… I mean… I'm drunk but I want it even before I was drunk so…

- Really? – Barry looked at her, surprised.

- You're cute. – She smiled, still dancing with him. Her hands went to his back and she slightly ran her nails underneath his shirt.

- I.. I'm…

Barry grabbed Sara by the waist and used his super speed. They ended up in a cabin, inside the bathroom. Barry locked the door behind Sara and slammed her back against it while he kissed her and she responded passionately. Sara hugged his waist, bringing him even closer to her. She grabbed the edge of his shirt and took it out of him, going back to kissing him.

As soon as Barry helped Sara out of her shirt, she started kissing his neck and smiled as Barry left a small moan out. Suddenly, they heard noises. They were alone in the bathroom before, but not anymore. Sara and Barry stared at each other; stopping moving at all and trying to pay attention and also don't let anyone notice they were inside the cabin, together.

- I swear I heard something… - Cisco's voice echoed through the bathroom.

- And I think you're crazy and watching too many horror movies! – Ralph's voice was heard and Barry and Sara looked alarmed at each other.

Oliver and Kara were back in their booth; Kara ordered some chips and ate them like they were the most wonderful things in the world. Oliver smiled at her, grabbing some himself.

- I have to say it, you're a great singer! – Kara said as she took a few more sips of her drink, finishing eating the chips – I don't why you were so reluctant about it.

- I just don't feel comfortable with it. I like singing to myself in shower sometimes, not in public, while being drunk.

Kara coughed and blushed as she looked at him. She had a sudden view of Oliver, in the shower, singing with that amazing voice of his. And suddenly, she felt really nervous around him.

- But… Today was different. I guess I need to thank you for helping me feel comfortable there.

- Oh, it was nothing… - Kara said, still blushing.

She was definitely feeling things. Things she was not used to.

Sara smiled, seeing the nervousness in Barry's face while Ralph and Cisco were washing their hands and talking. She approached her lips once again to his ears.

- Are you ok? – She said, her hands going down his back, giving a little squeeze to his butt.

Barry jumped, trying to stay calm and nodded with his head.

When it was finally safe, Barry left the bathroom, and Sara came walking behind him. They were glad no one seemed to notice that they were in the men's bathroom together. Sara approached Barry and whispered to him while they walked through the now crowded bar.

- That little adventure of ours was awesome!

Barry felt something down his stomach and bumped into someone by accident. It was Cisco.

- I knew you were still here, and I'm sure it was you at the bathroom… - Cisco said, looking at Ralph with a smirk

- I just…Ate something and…

- Ok, I don't need to know it. Gross! – Cisco said – I'm leaving to meet Kamilla…

- I'm leaving as well... Got stood up and I'm not happy about it! – Ralph said as they said their goodbyes to Sara and Barry.

- That was fun – Sara laughed as Barry followed her back to their booth

The four of them were laughing and chatting. Kara was thankful for it, she barely got out to enjoy some free time with friends and all of that, if always felt like she couldn't have fun, have a normal life. But that night, she felt differently. And dizzy. She looked forward and could swear she saw Alex came in a hurry.

- Kara, didn't you check your messages?

Yep, it was her.

Kara looked at Alex with her infamous puppy eyes, not having a clue about what Alex was talking about.

- Don't you look at me like that, lady! I was worried sick about you! We got some reports at the Tower, about a fight in an alien bar involving The Flash and Supergirl… Care to explain? And tell me why didn't you call us?

- We just had it handled – Barry said

- Some alien tried to drug me to ask me out, ridiculous, I know. But they took care of me… Specially Barry – She smiled, knowing that inside comment only Barry would get it. Barry just let a small cough out.

- Yes. We all helped – Barry said, tried to hide his nervousness. Oliver looked at him suspicious of his behavior but kept quiet.

- Well, I'm sorry guys, but I need you guys back in the Tower. We have to make sure you're all really ok and that you're not poisoned with something… Drunk, I know you all are. – Alex smiled at Kara – It's just for safety, given everything that happened.

- Ok, Aunt Alex! – Barry teased as he got up with the others and followed Alex to her car.

After a few hours, Oliver walked Kara back to her apartment, both of them feeling a bit less dizzy than before. The effects of what they drank were starting to come off, at least from Kara's system. Oliver would feel it a bit longer, since he was human.

- Thank you for coming with me. – She said as she stopped in her front door and stared at Oliver. – You didn't have to…

- I wanted to… Also… Barry was too busy with Sara to super speed me back to Star City so…

- I know – Kara laughed – It's funny how they think we didn't notice…

- They came out of the bathroom suspiciously at the same time. – Oliver laughed, making Kara laugh as well. – It was a fun night. I really needed it.

- Yes, it was. – Kara said as she unlocked her door and adjusted her fake glasses to her face. She actually didn't want it to end, at least not for a while. She took one step closer to him, and stared deeply into his eyes. – It doesn't have to end…

- What do you mean? – Oliver asked, wanting to make sure he heard her right.

He was trying to keep himself in control the entire night, especially when they sang together. He loved hearing her sing, he just never told her that, but he felt so comfortable with her that he didn't think he needed to say it out loud, he was sure she noticed.

- Stay? – She looked serious at him.

Oliver couldn't actually believe she said that. She really wanted him to stay and he felt his heart jumping once again inside his chest. He took one step closer, brushing his lips against hers while he held her strongly by the waist, guiding her towards the door. He opened the door, not letting her go and they both walked inside her apartment. Oliver closed the door behind her and she gave him a little push, following him, still kissing him, until they reached her couch. Oliver brought her down to it with him, her body fully covering his while they kissed.

Kara used her super speed and brought Oliver to her bedroom, making him fall on the mattress while she grabbed her sweater and took it off, laying above him. Oliver grabbed her by the waist, turning them around while she helped him out of his shirt. She stared at his torso, at all of his scars and traced them with the tip of her fingers. His hands traveled all over her body as he brought his lips to the base of her neck, exploring all over it.

He definitely needed to come to National City more.
