Chapter 199: The New Phantom Lord!
"So, we just have to wait here, and the bandits will show up" asked Lisanna in a curious tone as they all waited along the pathway leading towards the small town. Dante turned his attention towards his little sister as he started to speak.
"Yah it's like the mayor told us. The bandits are scheduled to show up today to collect ransom money from the town and this is the only way into town, so they have to come along this way" responded Dante with a smile. Smiling back at her big brother, Lisanna started to speak.
"All this waiting sounds boring. Do you think we can do something to make the wait go by faster big brother" asked Lisanna in a flirty tone. Seeing that Juvia was also giving him a flirty look, Dante smiled at his two whores as he started to speak.

Becoming fully alert Dante watched as serval bandits walked unknowingly into their ambush.
Dante took a moment to count the number of bandits and assess their strength. In total there were twelve bandits in total. Counting the number of bandits, Dante didn't sense any strong magical power coming from them, but they could be hiding their power he supposed. Frowning to himself Dante thought the number of bandits was strange. The town was small sure, but it seemed odd that only twelve bandits could cause this much trouble. Either there were more bandits who just didn't come along this time to collect the money from the town, or these bandits were more powerful than they let on. Sighing to himself, Dante supposed there was only one way to find out as he stepped out into the road.
"Hey who the hell are you" asked one of the bandits as Dante stepped out in front of them. Dante smiled at the bandits, since they were focused entirely on him they all failed to notice Lisanna and Juvia creep up behind them.
"I'm Dante Strauss, you actually might have heard of me" responded Dante with a smirk. The bandit that asked Dante who he was started to speak.
"Wait who d-don't mean that Dante Strauss?! The Angel of Fairy Tail" asked the bandit in a frightened tone.
"Oh, so you have heard of me" responded Dante with a smile. The bandit that had been talking was left speechless as he gawked with fear in front of Dante. Seeing that his accomplice was speechless, one of the other bandits started to speak.
"Hey, pull yourself together man! If the master sees you like this then we are all dead" stated the bandit to his frightened accomplish. Dante was curious when he heard these words. So, there was more bandits than the ones in front of him. Who was this master the bandit mentioned?
"That's right, it doesn't matter who this guy is! He can't beat all of us" responded another bandit, clearly ignorant of the reality of his situation.
"Oh, I'm not the one who is going to beat you" responded Dante with a smile since he could see that Lisanna and Juvia were ready to attack.
"What the hell does that mean" asked one of the bandits right before Lisanna and Juvia launched their attacks. Since the bandits were caught completely by surprise, it didn't take long until they were all defeated.
"Geez I know we caught them by surprise but that was really easy" stated Lisanna in a happy tone. Dante smiled at his little sister, proud of her strength as he started to speak while walking over to her and Juvia.
"These guys did go down fast, but don't discount your own strength sis. You were awesome, you too Juvia" stated Dante with a smile. While he knew that there were more bandits, he could not help the smile on his face. If the rest of the bandits were like these ones then it didn't matter who their mysterious master was, this was going to be easy.
"Hehe thanks big brother" responded Lisanna with a smile as she enjoyed his praise. Dante smiled back at Lisanna before he turned his attention towards Juvia. Dantes' smile faded when he saw the terrified look on Juvia's face.
"Juvia what's wrong? You're not hurt are you" asked Dante in a concerned tone. Juvia was a strong wizard, if she was this worried then something must be terribly wrong. Juvia turned her attention from one of the bandits towards her master and started to speak.
"M-master look at the mark on all of the bandits" responded Juvia in a terrified tone. Juvia was happy that the ambush had been successful, but her happiness vanished the instant she saw a very familiar guild mark on one of the bandits. After a quick look around, Juvia confirmed that all the bandits had the same guild mark. Dante hearing how scared Juvia was become even more concerned as he looked at the guild mark on one of the bandits.
"I don't understand, what sort of guild mark is that" asked Lisanna in a confused tone. Lisanna noticed the terrified look on Juvia's face so this mark must mean trouble. Her guess that this guild mark meant trouble was confirmed when Dante swore to himself before he started to speak.
"Fuck" stated Dante as he recognized the Phantom Lord guild mark on the bandit. Dante felt worried fill him as he tried to think about what this meant. Had Phantom Lord really come back? That wasn't possible, after the war between the two guilds Phantom Lord was disbanded by the magic council. If Phantom Lord really was back then that meant they were a dark guild. Dread filled Dante as he realized who this mysterious master must be, there was only one person that Dante could think of that would reform Phantom Lord.
"What is it big brother" asked Lisanna in a worried tone as she watched Dante's expression. Turning his attention towards Lisanna and Juvia, Dante started to speak.
"It's Phantom Lord, somehow they are back" responded Dante in a worried tone. Lisanna was still confused as she turned her attention between Dante and Juvia. Juvia looked terrified, even more shaken than Dante was.
"What is Phantom Lord" asked Lisanna in a confused tone. Dante remembering that Lisanna wasn't around during the Phantom Lord troubles took the time to explain to her the situation. After hearing the story about Phantom Lord, Lisanna had a worried expression on her face while she started to speak.
"W-what?! You mean that they are back?! How terrible" responded Lisanna in a worried tone. Dante nodded his head as he started to speak.
"Yah this isn't good" responded Dante as he turned his attention towards Juvia. While Dante was worried about Phantom Lord coming back, he was concerned for Juvia since this was bringing up bad memories for her.
"T-there back, Juvia can't" Juvia started to say before she trailed off. Dante was worried about Juvia, especially when he felt it start to rain. Glancing towards the sky Dante frowned at the sight of stormy rainclouds. Just moments ago, there wasn't a cloud in the sky, which meant that the rain was from Juvia. Giving her a sympathetic look, Dante closed the distance between the two of them.
"Juvia it's going to be okay. I'm here for you" stated Dante in a warm tone as he stood close to Juvia. Seeing her old guild mark, Juvia was filled with guilt as she remembered the person she used to be. Juvia couldn't even look her beloved in the eyes, shame filling her as she started to speak.
"M-master, Juvia is ashamed" responded Juvia with tears in her eyes as she was forced to remember the person she used to be. Juvia remembered with regret that she helped attack Fairy Tail, that she attacked her beloved. Dante cupped Juvia's chin, forcing her to look him in the eyes as he started to speak.
"Please don't cry Juvia. No one blames you for back then. You have proven yourself time and time again to the guild. Juvia you are kind, sweet and beautiful. I love you Juvia" responded Dante in a loving tone before he leaned forward and kissed Juvia on the lips.
Dante was worried about the possibility of facing a revived Phantom Lord, but he was more worried about Juvia in the moment. Pushing herself against her beloved, Juvia felt her worry and shame melt away as the skies above them became clear once again. "D-do you really mean that love" responded Juvia in a shy tone. Dante smiled lovingly at Juvia as he started to speak.
"Of course, I mean it Juvia. You are an incredibly devoted woman, no one in the guild thinks bad of you for being a former Phantom Lord" responded Dante with a smile. Overcome with emotion for her beloved, Juvia crashed her lips onto Dante's in a heated kiss. Smiling into the kiss, Dante wrapped his arms around Juvia's waist as he pulled her closer to him. The two of them made out for a while, Dante was glad he was able to cheer Juvia up. After a short while Dante and Juvia parted from each other.
"Thank you love, Juvia loves you so much" responded Juvia with a wide smile. Smiling at Juvia, Dante placed another quick kiss on her lips before he started to speak.
"I love you too Juvia, please never forget that" responded Dante hoping that Juvia wouldn't not feel guilty about her former Phantom Lord days any longer. Juvia smiled at her master as she nodded her head and started to speak.
"Juvia won't forget master" responded Juvia in a happy tone. Dante flashed Juvia a warm smile before his face turned serious as he remembered their situation.
"We need to tie these bandits up and take them back to town. Once we get them there we will question them about Phantom Lord" stated Dante in a serious tone as Lisanna and Juvia nodded their heads in understanding. As they got to work tying up the bandits, Dante continued to speak.
"I'm also going to see if the mayor has a communication lacrima. I have the suspicion we will need backup" responded Dante thinking that if Jose really was back then he was going to need help. Lisanna nodded her head with a smile as she started to speak.
"Well at least Natsu will be happy to hear about all of this. I bet he will think this is exciting" responded Lisanna with a smile. Dante smiled back at Lisanna as he agreed with her. If Dante could count on one thing it would be that Natsu would jump at the chance for a strong fight.
"You're right about that sis. Come on let's get these guys in town so we can ask them a few questions" responded Dante with a smile. It seems that this job was going to be more complicated than any of them originally thought but it didn't matter. No matter what Dante would protect Lisanna and Juvia and if he was honest with himself a small part of himself was excited for a rematch again Jose.
