Episode 394: Sora and Croagunk
After the battle Chimchar had when battling a pack of Zangoose, Sora, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, Michael, Sorrel, and the Pokémon made it back as Sorrel was treating Chimchar.
"There, that wasn't so bad," Sorrel said.
"Glad you're looking a hundred percent, Chimchar," Sora said.
"Chimchar," Chimchar said.
"But there's one thing that's eating at me. Why did Chimchar act like he was scared of Zangoose? Could something happen to him that made him shake like a leaf on winter?" Sora asked.
"Those are good questions," Sorrel said.
Just before Sora could ask, he heard some rustling.
"What's that?" Elaine asked.
"Vee?" Maple asked.
"It can't be more Zangoose, could it?" Lucas asked.
"Unlikely. Sounds different," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
They waited until they saw a Pokémon walk out. It is a dark ultramarine-blue, bipedal Pokémon that resembles a poison dart frog. It has yellow eyes, which are surrounded by black markings. There are orange, expandable pouches on its cheeks, and its teeth are wide and flat. A black marking encircles its upper arms and chest, and there are white bands around its chest. It has three fingers and toes, most of which are black. The only digits that are not black are its center fingers, which are orange instead.
"What kind of Pokémon is that?" May asked.
"It's a Croagunk," Sorrel said.
"Let's see," Sora said, taking out his Rotom Phone and scanned it.
Croagunk, the Toxic Mouth Pokémon
Type: Poison/Fighting
Croagunk has poison in its cheeks and can spray poison from its fingertips. It also makes noise by expanding its poison sac.
Croagunk demonstrates by making its croaking sounds.
"Cro, Cro, Cro, Cro, Cro, Cro," Croagunk croaked.
"I guess he must be out for a stroll," Kairi said.
"I guess you're right to guess Croagunk's gender, because it would have been female if the white mark was higher," Sorrel said. Croagunk noticed the group looking at him. He lookked right at Sora.
"I think he saw us, so we should leave him be," Kris said.
"Yeah, and maybe Croagunk would like that," May said.
"Good idea. Let's go," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
With that said, the group left Croagunk alone, but the Toxic Mouth Pokémon began to follow them.
After a while, the group kept going on forward, but Rui noticed the Toxic Mouth Pokémon following them.
"Everyone, I think that same Croagunk is following us," Rui said.
"You don't think he's hungry, do you?" Chase asked.
"Seems likely. Maybe when we make a stop, I can make some Pokémon food, so he'll be satisfied," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Yeah, maybe," Sora said.
They eventually made stop and Croagunk just kept looking at Sora as he ate.
"Cro, Cro, Cro, Cro, Cro, Cro," Croagunk croaked.
"Croagunk is still at it," Brendan said.
"I guess Croagunk likes Sora," Lyra said.
"Maybe," Roxas said.
"Chu," Xipak said.
As everyone ate their meal, Croagunk didn't take his eyes off of Sora once, not even while eating the Pokémon food Kairi gave the Toxic Mouth Pokémon. Just when Sora was about to start training, Croagunk kept looking at Sora.
"Okay, Croagunk, you've been staring at me all day, so cut it out. You're freaking me out," Sora said, Sora dropped a Pokéball. Croagunk then points to the Pokéball, so Sora puts two and two together. "Oh, you just wanna be with me, is that it?" Croagunk nodded. "Okay, I guess you can join the team." Sora picked up the Pokéball, so Croagunk tapped on the button, flowing inside. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora then lets Croagunk out of his Pokéball. "Well, since you're a Fighting-type Pokémon, let's see how well you fight." Sora took out some training pads. Comes in handy when training with Fighting-types, so let's see what you got. Go!" Sora moved one forward, so Croagunk gave the pad a Poison Jab. "Poison Jab, huh? That's a cool move. Keep it coming." Croagunk kept Poison Jab coming.
Sorrel was watching, impressed by how Sora is training Croagunk.
"I see how it is. That must be how Sora is able to train Fighting-type Pokémon without having to result in physical combat," Sorrel said.
After hours of physical training with Croagunk, Sora panted, smiling at Croagunk.
"Man, you're stronger than you look, Sora said.
"Croagunk," Croagunk said.
"I think I had a few close calls with your Poison Jab, but it was spot on," Sora said.
"Croagunk," Croagunk said.
A little later, after eating some dinner, Croagunk looked right at Sora and Kairi, seeing how close they are. He looked at Pikachu and Angel who are just as close.
On the next morning, Sora decided to have a practice battle with Wes, so Sora has chosen Croagunk while Wes has chosen Espeon. Croagunk senses Espeon's attacks.
"Espeon! Use Psybeam!" Wes ordered. Espeon fired Psybeam at Croagunk.
"Dodge it and use Poison Jab!" Sora ordered. Croagunk dodged Espeon's Psybeam and came at him with a Poison Jab. "Great! Use Poison Sting!" Croagunk fired Poison Sting at the Sun Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Psychic Fangs!" Wes ordered. Espeon came at Croagunk and lands a Psychic Fangs on the Toxic Mouth Pokémon. "Psychic Fangs again!"
"Poison Jab!" Sora ordered. Croagunk lands a Poison Jab on Espeon, poisoning Espeon.
"Hey, that was awesome. Croagunk had that kind of fight?" Ethan asked.
"Sure has. I think Croagunk's ability is Anticipation," Michael said.
"What's Anticipation?" Lucas asked.
"Anticipation is an ability that allows Croagunk to sense whether when the opponent has a super-effective attack, or attacks like Explosion or Self-Destruct, or one-hit knockout moves like Horn Drill and Fissure," Michael said.
"I had deduced that, too. And it makes sense since Espeon knows Psychic-type moves. Also, Espeon's Synchronize had no effect on Croagunk either," Sorrel said.
"Synchronize? What's that?" Dawn asked.
"Synchronize is an ability that Espeon and Umbreon both share. When they're hit with status conditions like paralysis, burns, or poisonings, the opponent gets the same effect," Rui said.
"And since Croagunk's a Poison-type Pokémon, Croagunk's not gonna be poisoned," Brendan said.
"Use Psychic!" Wes ordered.
"Dodge and use Poison Sting, Croagunk!" Sora ordered. Croagunk dodged Espeon's Psychic and fired Poison Sting at Espeon, dealing some damage. Esepon's poisoning kicked it. "Okay, use Poison Jab!" Croagunk came at Espeon and lands a Poison Jab onto Espeon, resulting in a knockout. "Great, Croagunk! That was awesome!"
"Croagunk," Croagunk said.
"Sora's right. You have some potential, Croagunk. And with Sora as your Trainer, you'll definitely go far," Wes said.
"Cro, Cro, Cro, Cro," Croagunk croaked.
"Anyway, here's a Pecha Berry for Espeon," Sora said, handing the berry to Wes.
"Thanks," Wes said, accepting the berry. Espeon ate the berry and healed from the poisoning.
Later at a Pokémon Center, they made a stop as Sora made contact with Professor Oak.
"Ah, Sora, good of you to call. I was wondering if you made some progress," Professor Oak said.
"Well, we're getting close to Jubilife City before we get to Oreburgh City. But I caught some Pokémon from Sinnoh. So far, I caught a Starly, a Piplup, a Turtwig, a Chimchar, a Shinx, and a Croagunk," Sora said.
"Ah, and what Pokémon did Kairi catch?" Professor Oak asked.
"She caught a Starly, but that one's a girl, but she also caught a Bidoof, a Buneary, and a Kricketot," Sora said.
"You two sound like you're well on your way. You be sure to keep your eyes opened for some more Sinnoh Pokémon," Professor Oak said.
"Sure thing, professor," Sora said as Dawn walked up.
"Sora, Kairi wanted me to get..." Dawn paused when she spotted Professor Oak on the phone. "Hey, I know you!"
"You do?" Professor Oak asked.
"Yeah, you're into Pokémon poetry, aren't you?" Dawn asked.
"Yes. I take it that you enjoy Pokémon poetry as well, young lady," Professor Oak said.
"I love Pokémon poetry. I have loved them ever since I was little," Dawn said.
"Professor, this is Dawn, she's one of the new Trainers we met when we got here. She's working on being a Pokémon Coordinator," Sora said.
"I see. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Dawn," Professor Oak said.
"You too," Dawn said.
"Anyway, Sora, give Kairi and the others my regards," Professor Oak said.
"I will," Sora said, breaking contact with Professor Oak.
"Wow, I can't believe you know that poetry guy!" Dawn said.
"I actually knew Professor Oak for as long as I can remember," Sora said.
"Really?" Dawn asked.
"Yeah. He treated me like I was his grandkid. He was there for my mom when my dad died," Sora said. Dawn was shocked to hear Sora's dad had died.
"How old were you when he-" Dawn was cut off by Sora.
"My sister and I weren't born yet when he died. He died three months before we were born," Sora said.
"Oh," Dawn said, understanding. She felt sorry for Sora.
"Well, I know him from his voice and his pictures," Sora said. He sighed to himself.
"How did you deal with it?" Dawn asked.
"By focusing on everything I already have and not the things I don't have," Sora said.
Sora and Dawn rejoined the rest of the group as they had their meal. Just then, a girl with blonde pigtails noticed Sora and she squealed with delight.
"Excuse me, but are you Sora Ketchum, the Pokémon League Champion of the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn Pokémon Leagues?" The girl asked.
"Um, yeah. Something I can do for you?" Sora asked.
"I was wondering if I could have a battle against you? I thought I'd get in some practice before I challenge the Oreburgh City Gym," the girl said.
"Sure. I can take you up for that," Sora said.
"Great! We'll head for the battlefield they have at the back," the girl said.
With that said, the made it outside as Sora and his opponent made it to the battlefield.
"So, how are doing this?" Sora asked.
"We'll make it a double battle. Two of us uses two Pokémon each, and the battle is over when both Pokémon from either Trainer loses," the girl said.
"Okay, I can take you up on that," Sora said.
"Okay, here we go!" The girl said, taking out two Pokéballs and threw them. Carnivine, Yanma! Go!" Her Pokéballs opened and let out a Yanma and another new Pokémon. It is is a green plant-like Pokémon resembling a Venus flytrap. Its circular eyes have small pupils, and it has spiky teeth. Its stem is yellow with green spots, with red and green vines beneath with the appearance of tentacles. It has two arms resembling leaves with three leafy 'fingers' each.
"Better check this out," Sora said, taking out his Rotom Phone for information
Carnivine, the Bug Catcher Pokémon
Type: Grass
Carnivine uses its stem-like tentacles to graph itself to a nearby tree and wait for its prey to arrive while its mouth is opened, giving off a sweet smell from its saliva. Once the prey is within range, it uses its massive jaws to clamp down on its victim, devouring it.
"It looks like Victreebel has some competition, but I have the two for this battle," Sora said, taking out his two Pokéballs and threw them. "Chimchar, Croagunk! Go!" His Pokéballs opened and his two Pokémon emerged from inside. Croagunk's Anticipation kicked in. Sora figured Yanma knows at least one Flying-type move. "Okay, Croagunk! Use Poison Sting on Carnvine! Chimchar! Flamethrower on Yanma!" Croagunk fired Poison Sting while Chimchar fired Flamethrower.
"Dodge it!" The girl called out. Yanma and Carnivine dodged their attacks. "Carnivine! Use Bullet Seed! Yanma! Use Air Cutter!" Yanma unleashed Air Cutter as Carnivine unleashed Bullet Seed.
"Croagunk! Dodge it and use Poison Jab on Carnivine!" Sora ordered. Croagunk lands a Poison Jab on Carnivine. "Chimchar! Use Flame Wheel!" Chimchar rolled into a ball of fire and rolled right for Yanma. Yanma dodged it.
"Didn't Yanma move fast so fast?" Lucas asked.
"It's Yanma's Speed Boost. It increases Yanma's speed each passing second," Ash said.
"Use Air Cutter on Croagunk!" The girl ordered.
"Dodge and use Poison Sting!" Sora ordered. Croagunk fired Poison Sting, hitting Yanma on the mark. "Chimchar! Flamethrower!" Chimchar fired Flamethrower right at Yanma, earning a burn status. "Okay, Chimchar! Flame Wheel, but aim it at Carnivine!" Chimchar came at Carnivine with Flame Wheel. Carnivine is plowed into.
"Carnivine! Use Bite on Chimchar!" The girl ordered. Carnivine lands a bite on Chimchar. "Keep a good grip on it!" Carnivine bites into Chimchar.
"Croagunk! Brick Break on Carnivine!" Sora ordered. Croagunk lands a Brick Break on the Bug Catcher Pokémon, this causes Carnivine to let Chimchar go. "Use Poison Sting!" Croagunk fired Poison Sting, hitting Carnivine on the mark. "Okay, Chimchar! Use Scratch! Croagunk! Poison Jab!" Chimchar scratches Carnivine as Croagunk jabbed Carnivine with Poison Jab.
"Yanma! Use Quick Attack!" The girl ordered. Yanma dashed at Croagunk with Quick Attack.
"Croagunk! Poison Jab on Yanma!" Sora ordered. Croagunk lands a Poison Jab on Yanma, resulting in a knockout. She called back her Yanma.
"Okay, Carnivine! Vine Whip on Croagunk!" The girl ordered. Carnivine extends a Vine Whip at the Toxic Mouth Pokémon.
"Croagunk! Dodge it and use Brick Break!" Sora ordered. Croagunk avoids Carnivine's Vine Whip and lands a hit with Brick Break. "Use your Poison Jab to finish Carnivine!" Croagunk lands a poisonous jab onto Carnivine, resulting in a knockout. "Great job, Croagunk! You too, Chimchar!"
"Chimchar!" Chimchar cheered as he celebrated his victory.
"Cro, Cro, Cro, Cro," Croagunk said.
"Ah, I can't believe I lost!" The girl cried.
"Hey, you did your best. I mean, you gave it everything you had," Sora said.
"Really?" The girl asked.
"Yeah. You did. I mean, your Yanma and Carnivine did a great job," Sora said.
"Well, I appreciate it, but there is another reason for it," the girl said, blushing. "I was wondering maybe if you and I could go out for a date?" Sora blushed, making Kairi puff her cheeks out with jealousy. Croagunk saw how jealous Kairi was when he saw another girl flirt with his Trainer.
"Um, I... I don't think... The thing is... Um..." Sora stammered. Croagunk then approached the girl, making him look at the Toxic Mouth Pokémon. "Croagunk?"
"What's the deal with your Croagunk?" The girl asked. Croagunk's fingers gave off a purple glow and gave her a Poison Jab in the stomach. "Does...that mean...no date?" She fell backwards.
"You okay?" Sora asked.
"Mommy, may I wear the jammies with the cute, little footies?" The girl asked in a daze.
"I think she's okay," Sora said. Kairi looked right at Croagunk and he looked back at her. He nodded right to her.
A little later, Kairi and Angel approached Croagunk as she is carrying a bowl of Pokémon food for him to eat.
"Hey, Croagunk. About earlier. I bet you did that just so you can show your loyalty to Sora by keeping anyone coming between me and Sora, right?" Kairi asked. Croagunk nodded.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I guess that makes sense. It's because you saw me and Sora being sweet on each other, right?" Kairi asked. Croagunk nodded again. "Well, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
"Croagunk," Croagunk said. The two of them shook hands.
Meanwhile, Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Koichi, Mime Jr, and Munchlax are walking on Sinnoh soil as Takuya sent out Aguni to battle against a Chimchar.
"Fire Punch!" Takuya ordered. Aguni lands a Fire Punch onto Chimchar, making the Chimp Pokémon fall backwards. "Use Slash!" Aguni slashed at Chimchar, knocking it out. Takuya took out a Pokéball and threw it. Aguni flowed inside it and stars swirls around it to confirm the catch. "Alright, I got me a Chimchar."
"And we're happy for you, but you think you can give us a hand here?" JP asked.
"Okay," Takuya said. He threw his Pokéball and he let out his new Chimchar. Takuya's Chimchar got to know Aguni, Camerupt, Magmar, and Flareon.
Koji has an Arcanine and Espeon out. JP has Pinsir and Forretress out. Zoe has Clefable, Togetic, and Sylveon out. Tommy has Piloswine, Sneasel, Snorunt, Glaceon, and an Alolan Sandshrew out. Koichi has Gengar, Houndoom, Umbreon, and a Shinx out.
They were setting up camp as soon as they arrived.
"Well, Chimchar is the first Pokémon we caught here in Sinnoh," Takuya said.
"Yeah, but we don't know where to find Sora and the others," Koji said.
"They said there were others who can use Keyblades, so chances are they might have met up with them by now," Koichi said.
"I'm with Koichi. They did it when they bumped into Brendan and May," JP said.
"Yeah, and there's also Chase and Elaine. But it could be anyone else we meet here," Zoe said.
"Well, we're gonna have to keep an eye out for them just in case we see them first," Takuya said.
"How? It could just be anyone," Koji pointed out.
"Koji's right, Takuya? How would we know who can use a Keyblade and who can't?" Zoe asked.
"Maybe we'll know when we see them with a Keyblade. And the good thing about it is, Organization XIII isn't here to spoil it," Tommy said.
"Yeah, but the Heartless are. And so can the Nobodies, the Unversed, and Vanitas," JP said.
"Okay, you made some fine points," Takuya said. He huffed, "Wise guys."
Meanwhile, Tai, Davis, and their DigiDestined team are elsewhere in Sinnoh. Matt has his Lucario out as Cody has caught a Turtwig, Yolei has caught a Staravia.
"So, Matt, why have you withdrew on Lucario until now?" Davis asked.
"Lucario has been a part of the family since an egg. Other than Mimi, Riolu's been by my side right until it evolved into a Lucario," Matt said.
"I think it's cool you have a Pokémon that can read the auras of other things," Davis said.
"What would you do with it if you could do what Lucario does?" Matt asked.
"See if anyone is talking smack about me," Davis said. Just then, something came out of the ground. It is a small, bipedal dragon-like Pokémon that is primarily grayish-blue. It has a big mouth filled with sharp teeth, no neck, and arms that start at the outer edges of its jaws. Its stomach is relatively small compared to its mouth. A red underbelly stretches from its abdomen to the bottom of its jaw. It has two horns that resemble jet or plane engines, each with a light blue stripe in the middle. It has a single light blue stripe wrapping around its back, and a short tail. On top of its head is a dorsal fin, which has a notch on it. Davis's face lit up when he saw it. "Hey, a Gible! What a cool find is that?"
"I heard Gible mostly live on mountains, but this one looks lost," Matt said.
"Not for long," Davis said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it at Gible, making it flow inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. "Yes! Gible's mine!"
"Hardly a surprise, Davis. You always had a thing for Dragon-type Pokémon," Matt said.
"Yeah, because Dragon-types are cool. Besides, I wanted to be Lance," Davis said.
"You're not gonna wear a cape like Lance, are you?" Matt deadpanned.
"Lance has his style, so I'm getting my own," Davis said.
"That I would like to see," Matt said.
Back with Sora, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, Chase, Elaine, Lucas, Dawn, Wes, Rui, Michael, Sorrel, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Volt, Maple, and Piplup, Kairi, Dawn, Angel, and Piplup came across a Glameow sleeping up in a tree.
"Dawn, doesn't your mom have that Pokémon?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah. That's a Glameow. My mom's Glameow is her longtime partner," Dawn said.
"Better have a look at this," Kairi said, taking out her Rotom Phone and scanned it.
Glameow, the Catty Pokémon
Type: Normal
When it is displeased, Glameow shows its claws, but when it is affectionate, it purrs. Glameow is a popular Pokémon among many Trainers.
"I can see why. She looks very beautiful," Kairi said, looking at Angel. "How about it, Angel? You up for it?"
"Eevee," Angel said. She stepped in as Glameow woke up and saw the female Eevee.
"Okay, Angel! Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel fired Swift, hitting Glameow on the spot. Glameow came at Angel with a Scratch. Glameow then dashed at Angel with an Aerial Ace. "That was Aerial Ace! Quick Attack!" Angel dashed at Glameow with a Quick Attack, landing a hit. "Iron Tail!" Angel swings her tail and lands a hit with Iron Tail. Glameow came Angel with a Scratch. "Headbutt!" Angel rammed her head against Glameow. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it. Glameow flowed inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. "And I got myself a Glameow."
"That was awesome," Dawn said.
"Thanks. And I know you'll do fine with your first catch," Kairi said.
"You think so?" Dawn asked.
"I know so," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Piplup," Piplup said.
A little while later, Sora and Kairi decided to help Lucas and Dawn with some training.
"Okay, you two. You both want the same thing, so we're gonna help you out," Sora said.
"Yeah?" Lucas asked.
"You would be willing to help us?" Dawn asked.
"Of course. I mean, you're our friends," Kairi said.
"And I think a practice battle would be good. And here's the deal. It'll be a practice battle, so when a Pokémon is in a position of being unable to battle is the winner," Sora said.
"I like that deal," Lucas said.
"Figured you would," Sora said. He looked among his Pokémon and he decided to go with Shinx. "Okay, Shinx, I didn't use you yet, so how would you like to have your moment in the sun?"
"Shinx," Shinx said.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
"Sorry, buddy. I know it's been since Paul's Elekid since you battled, but you'll have your chance soon. For right now, let's give Shinx a chance, okay?" Sora asked.
"Pika," Pikachu said, feeling uneasy.
"I promise, the next one will be yours," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"You ready, Shinx?" Sora asked.
"Shinx," Shinx said, stepping in.
"Okay, I'll use a Shinx, too," Lucas said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. His Pokéball opened and Lucas's Shinx came out. "Wanna have the first move?"
"Why don't you go first?" Sora asked.
"Shinx! Use Tackle!" Lucas ordered. Lucas's Shinx charges at Sora's Shinx with a Tackle.
"You use Tackle, too, Shinx!" Sora ordered. Sora's Shinx charged right at Lucas's Shinx with a Tackle and they land a hit on each other. "Okay, Shinx! Thunder Shock!" Shinx lets out a Thunder Shock.
"Dodge and use Bite!" Lucas ordered. Lucas's Shinx dodged Sora's Shinx's Thunder Shock and land a bite on him.
"Nice one! Use Bite!" Sora ordered. Sora's Shinx came at Lucas's Shinx to land a bite. Sora's Shinx came too fast for Lucas's Shinx to dodge.
"Use Thunder Shock!" Lucas ordered. Lucas's Shinx fired Thunder Shock right at Sora's Shinx.
"You use Thunder Shock to block!" Sora ordered. Sora's Shinx fired a Thunder Shock to block Lucas's Shinx's Thunder Shock. They held on until Lucas's Shinx overpowered Sora's Shinx's Thunder Shock and land a hit on him. Sora's Shinx had taken a lot of damage. Sora could tell his Shinx was close to being beaten, so he decided to throw the practice match for Lucas. "And that is that. Your Shinx is the winner, Lucas."
"You mean, I win?" Lucas asked.
"Yeah. Your Shinx's Thunder Shock overpowered mine, so it's clear your Shinx had gained the upper-hand," Sora said.
"Cool. I know it's only a practice battle, but it was awesome to battle you," Lucas said.
"I feel the same way. And I'm already looking forward in seeing how stronger you'll get the next time," Sora said.
"Now, it's our turn, Dawn. Let's just use our partners, huh?" Kairi suggested.
"Sure thing. You ready to go, Piplup?" Dawn asked.
"Piplup!" Piplup said.
"Great! Spotlight!" Dawn said. Piplup stepped in.
"Go for it, Angel," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Both Angel and Piplup got into position.
"Piplup! Use Peck!" Dawn ordered. Piplup rushed at Angel with his beak out forward.
"Use Headbutt!" Kairi ordered. Angel dashed at the Penguin Pokémon and they collide with each other. They collide with each other, each landing a hit. "Use Swift!"
"Bubble Beam!" Dawn ordered. Piplup fired Bubble Beam. The stars and bubbles collide with each other, resulting in Sparkly explosions. "Peck!" Piplup came at Angel with a Peck. Piplup came too fast for Angel to dodge.
"Nice job, Dawn. Wanna keep going?" Kairi asked.
"I sure do," Dawn said.
"I thought so. Use Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel fired Swift at Piplup.
"Use Bide!" Dawn ordered. Piplup took the hits of Swift. Kairi knew what Bide does when a Pokémon is hit by it.
"Angel, stop!" Kairi called out. But it was too late because Piplup unleashed a burst of energy and it struck Angel hard. Kairi was very impressed. Sora and Lucas was also impressed.
"That was awesome," Lucas said.
"I'll say. That Piplup of yours has so much power for a little guy," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Piplup!" Piplup proudly said.
"You and Dawn are in perfect synch, Piplup. She was right to pick you," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel agreed.
"They're right, Piplup. You're my number one partner. You and I are an unbeatable team," Dawn said.
"Piplup!" Piplup said.
Sora has gotten himself a new Croagunk while Kairi has gotten a Glameow, and the couple gave Lucas and Dawn some inspiration for their separate goals, and some more adventures are surely coming their way, so stay tuned if you wanna see what else will happen.
