Here's another amazing story! I would love to add Melissa into this, so it here it is! I thought that it would be fun to throw her into this amazing story along with Kitsune! We'll see where it goes, but I really like where it's already heading. I like how things went with Do You Believe In Magic? and the little hints to more to come!
I highly recommend reading The Winter Dance, and everything else after that just to get the full experience especially if you want to know who Kitsune is!! Enjoy :)
In Class 1-A's dormitory...
It had been a few days since Midoriya dealt with some pretty magical things happening to him. Something about it still felt good even if he was trapped in a spell book. He met a fairy, which he was never expecting. He never thought that would happen to him, ever. But now that things were finally back to normal, he felt like he could finally get ready to see friend of his that he hadn't seen in a while.
Melissa was coming over to visit AllMight for a while.
He couldn't help smile as he got ready for school. He got his school uniform ready and tied his tie just like he usually does it. Something about Melissa coming over felt like things were finally going back to normal. Melissa was a good friend of his, and he could even relate to her in some ways. Then he thought about Uraraka and was excited to tell her about them being together.
Something about him made him a little nervous for some reason. He deep breath in and out and grabbed his backpack. Once he got red shoes on, he headed down towards the common room. He couldn't stop smiling, thinking about how much fun him and Melissa were going to have. He had to show her around campus, if anything. He knew she would love the support classes, and maybe get along with Hatsume.
Soon enough, he entered the common room and found everyone already up and ready to go to school. He spotted Uraraka who was finishing her breakfast. He walked up to her with a smile on his face, surprising her.
"Good morning Ochaco," Midoriya said while he gave her a kiss on the cheek.
Uraraka was stunned by his surprise kiss and felt a little blush form across her cheeks. Everyone noticed and was shocked to see him so happy in the morning. Iida noticed and wonderered what was going on with him.
"You seem to be in a good mood," Kaminari pointed out, "Is anything going on with you that we should know about?"
"Please don't tell me that this has to do with that spell book. We've had enough of that thing," Yaoyorozu said to him as she let out a sigh.
Midoriya grabbed a cup and poured himself some orange juice. He still had a smile on his face, happy to share the news.
"Well, there's actually someone visiting U.A. soon," Midoriya told them, "Melissa Shield is coming over to visit AllMight!"
Everyone was shocked to hear this, especially Uraraka. Midoriya didn't even notice the way Uraraka looked at him when he walked by her. Something about it seemed to bother her.
"Wait Melissa, as in I-island?" Yaoyorozu asked him, "That's amazing!"
"She was pretty fun to hang out with, you know before everything kind of fell apart," Jirou told him.
"I'll say. She's pretty hot," Mineta said with a smile on his face.
That earned Mineta an earphone jab to his ear by none other than Jirou herself. Midoriya grabbed his orange juice and then some bread to toast.
"She's really excited to finally come over," Midoriya said with a smile, "I'm sure that she'd love to finally meet everyone from U.A."
"She's sounds pretty great, but I don't know anything about her," Ashido said to him, "What's she like? Come on, tell me!"
Midoriya felt a little embarrassed talking about her like this. He looked at Uraraka and felt little uncomfortable talking about her for some reason. But then he noticed her seeming to be somewhat okay with it. He scratched the back of his head as he remembered what she was like.
"Well, she's a lot like her dad, David Shield. He helped AllMight with making all of his hero costumes. She really wants to be a lot like him since she's... she's actually quirkless," Midoriya told them.
Everyone was shocked to hear this, especially everyone that actually knew her. Uraraka's eyes widened, and Midoriya didn't notice.
"Quirkless? Really?" Ashido asked back.
"Huh. I never noticed when we were on I-island with her," Kaminari pointed out.
"She's probably shy about it," Jirou said as she gave him a dirty look, "Give her a break, Denki."
Midoriya thought about it for a while and realized that he finally told Uraraka that he was quirkless. He looked at her and noticed her looking a little shocked. He could tell that she wasn't expecting that. He hoped that this didn't change things between her and Melissa.
"Yeah. She's quirkless, but she didn't let that stop her from making amazing inventions," Midoriya said to them with a subtle smile, "She's really smart and knows her way around gadgets and inventions. She deserves to be here and see what this school is like. Maybe we can show her around at some point. I'm sure she'd love that."
"Yeah! That sounds like fun!" Ashido cried out.
"We could show her the support class. She'd love that," Yaoyorozu told him with a smile.
"As long as we don't get Hatsume involved," Iida said with a slight twitch around his eyebrow.
"This is pretty crazy. Hey Uraraka, isn't Kitsune getting a job offer here at U.A.?" Kirishima asked her.
Midoriya's eyes widened, not remembering Uraraka ever mentioning this. He looked at her, and she looked a little shy about it. She avoided eye contact with him, and he knew that she forgot to mention it to him.
"She is actually. She told me that Mr. Aizawa and the teachers offer a job. I think she's coming over today to get interviewed," Uraraka explained to them.
"Great. More weirdness," Bakugo said under his breath.
"Katsuki, don't be rude to her," Kirishima said to him, "I'm sure that she'll keep her distant with you and Uraraka."
"She better. I'm not planning on switching bodies again with anyone any time soon," Bakugo said to him.
Midoriya kind of figured that Melissa would be excited to come up, but he had no idea that Kitsune was getting a job offer. He just hoped that nothing stirs up between anyone with Kitsune and anyone who comes into contact with her. He at least hoped that her quirk had improved since he'd seen her.
"What are the odds of that happening? Two of our friends are coming over on the same day?" Kaminari pointed out.
"Yeah. It's a little weird," Sero said to them, "But maybe Kitsune and Melissa can meet up. I'm sure things would be fine between them. It's not like she knows her."
"That's true, and if things do stir up, we can help them out," Iida told them, "Melissa is a friend, and she helped us a lot back on I-island. We should help her out and get to know the place better just like Midoriya said."
Midoriya smiled, feeling so grateful to have friends that want to help settle Melissa down into U.A. for a while. He finished his orange juice and quickly put butter on his toast. They left the dormitory once he was done buttering up his toast, and he ate it on the way there. He walked beside Uraraka, and she kept glancing at him as he ate.
He noticed her looking at him, and she looked away a bit nervously.
"Are you okay Ochaco?" Midoriya asked her as he finished his toast.
"Y-Yeah. Everything's fine," Uraraka told him with a slight blemish across her face, "I just... I had no idea that Melissa was coming up. You didn't say anything about this."
"Well, I wasn't sure if she'd come up or not," Midoriya told her, "She said that she was, but I wanted to make sure that it was actually happening."
"I guess..." Uraraka trailed off, and Midoriya noticed.
Midoriya felt like there was something bothering her and wondered what it was. He couldn't tell what would've bothered her. Melissa is a great friend, and he couldn't see why she wouldn't be excited for her. He looked at her, wondering if there was anything he could to help her feel better.
"Do you want to come with me to see her?" Midoriya asked her.
Uraraka's eyes widened, and Midoriya blinked at her not sure why she was acting this way. He tried to understand why she was doing this, but then she smiled at him.
"S-Sure... Why not?" Uraraka said back.
Midoriya's eyes shined, happy to have her tag along.
"Great! We can go see her during lunch," Midoriya told her, "She'll be visiting AllMight, so we can go see her there."
Midoriya couldn't stop smiling, and soon Uraraka smiled with him. She wrapped her arm around him, and they walked to U.A. feeling pretty good about school today. Midoriya didn't notice Uraraka feeling a little bothered by seeing Melissa after classes. He was so excited to finally see Melissa after all this time.
Even Kitsune was coming over for a job interview.
He couldn't stop smiling, feeling pretty good about today.
In Class 1-A's classroom...
After classes, Midoriya almost launched out of the classroom to go over to AllMight's private room. He took his time however when he remembered that Uraraka would come with him. He grabbed his backpack and took his time as he walked over to Uraraka. He smiled widely as he waited for her to come with him. She looked a little tired from sitting around for a long time and got up slowly.
"Let's go see Melissa. She's probably waiting for us," Midoriya told her.
Midoriya noticed that Uraraka didn't seem as excited as him and hoped that she was feeling okay. He just really wanted to see her and show her around. He even wanted her to join them for hero training so she can see how much they've improved. Uraraka slowly put her backpack and let out a sigh. Midoriya didn't question it, and they both headed out together.
Midoriya and Uraraka both walked through the hallway together, and he couldn't stop smiling. He didn't even notice Uraraka constantly glancing at him. He was too busy getting exciting to seeing Melissa and AllMight. He really hoped that everything was going well with Melissa already settling down and all that. As they headed over to the private room, they soon noticed someone familiar coming around the corner.
"Kitsune! Hey!" Uraraka called out of no where.
Uraraka's eyes shined as she ran over to her friend. Midoriya almost jumped from her out burst, and he caught up to her. Kitsune looked a little nervous and was dressed up pretty well for a job at U.A.
Kitsune wore her long blond hair up in a ponytail, showing more of her pale face. Her horns and blue eyes stood out even more with her suit. It actually looked like it was slightly not quite the right size on her as she waved at them.
"Hey Uraraka! It's so nice to finally see you!" Kitsune cried out as she hugged her.
"It's so nice to see you too!" Uraraka told her as she hugged her back, "So, you're actually going through with this interview?"
"Y-Yeah. I'm a little nervous though. I mean, this is U.A.!" Kitsune told her with a sweat drop forming on her forehead.
"Don't worry about it. You'd be great to have here in U.A., and your quirk could really help others understand one another better," Midoriya explained to her, "If you can control it better, you could actually help others know what it's like to have different quirks. It could actually be a huge benefit to this school!"
Kitsune's eyes sparkled, but still looked shy as she avoided eye contact with them.
"Y-You... You really think so?" Kitsune asked back, feeling a little proud of herself.
"Yes. I really do," Midoriya told her with sparkles in his eyes.
Kitsune took a deep breath in and out, ready to face Mr. Aizawa and the other teachers.
"Okay. I think I'm ready," Kitsune told them, "If I get this job, maybe you can show me around later."
"Sure! Sounds great," Uraraka said back, "I can't wait."
Kitsune smiled at them and headed towards the staff room. Uraraka looked like she was just as nervous as her as they walked further down the hallway. Midoriya smiled, knowing that Uraraka would finally have another friend around here. He held her hand, which seemed to surprise her for some reason.
"Don't worry about Kitsune. I'm sure that she'll get that job," Midoriya told her, "It seems like the school reached out to her for a reason. I'm sure she'll do great."
Uraraka let out a sigh and squeezed his hand tightly. Midoriya looked at Uraraka, and she looked like she felt a lot better.
"You're right. I just..." Uraraka trailed off, and Midoriya noticed.
Midoriya felt bad for her, whatever was bothering her. He wanted to help her out with whatever it was.
"Ochaco. Is something wrong?" Midoriya asked her a with concerned look on his face.
Midoriya didn't know what was bothering her, but he didn't notice until just now. Uraraka looked at him, but then she smiled in a way that wasn't convincing.
"No. Everything's fine," Uraraka told him as she pulled him towards AllMight's private room, "Come on. Let's go see Melissa. We don't want to keep her waiting."
Midoriya felt her pull him and run faster than he expected. Something about it felt a little unconvincing. The way she smiled, he knew that something was up with her, and he didn't know what it was. He wanted to help her out, but first he just had to go visit Melissa. He let her pull him along for now and headed over to the private room.
Soon enough, they came across AllMight's private room. Midoriya remembered the last time they were here. It was when Uraraka found out that he was quirkless and given One for All from AllMight. He stood there, feeling so grateful to have her by his side. He held her hand, ready to finally see Melissa through these doors.
Midoriya smiled widely and opened them. Once he slid them open, AllMight and Melissa stood there hugging and smiling. Then Melissa heard the door open and looked to see Midoriya standing there with a big smile on his face. Melissa's eyes sparkled, and her smile widened so much to finally see Midoriya in what felt like forever.
"Deku!" Melissa cried out as she threw her arms around him, "You're here!"
Midoriya wasn't expecting that and felt a himself heat up from her hugging him. Something about her coming this close to him felt like he was still on I-island. Melissa smiled at him and didn't let go as she embaraced some more.
"It's so good to see you!" Melissa exclaimed.
"I-It's good to see you too, Melissa," Midoriya told her with a blemish across his face.
Then Melissa noticed Uraraka, and her eyes sparkled as well just seeing her again. She let go of Midoriya and gave Uraraka a hug as well.
"Ochaco! You're here too! This is great!" Melissa exclaimed.
"Y-Yeah... I-It's good to see you too Melissa..." Uraraka said less enthusiastically.
Midoriya noticed Uraraka looking a little uncomfortable, but soon were brought into the private room. AllMight was glad to see both of them here to greet Melissa.
"Hey Young Midoriya and Young Uraraka, it's good to see you join us," AllMight exclaimed, looking just as excited to see Melissa.
Midoriya smiled from ear to ear, hoping to show Melissa around soon. They all sat down, and Melissa sat with AllMight. As they sat down, Uraraka instantly held hands with Midoriya. Something about it felt less romantic or more defensive. Midoriya didn't know what was going on with her, but he shook it off since he was so excited to see Melissa.
"It's so nice to finally have you visit U.A.!" Midoriya exclaimed, "There's so much here to show you, I don't know where to start!"
"Well, I've always wanted to check out the support class," Melissa told them, "I heard that it's one of more lesser known courses, but still pretty important."
"We'd love to show you around. Hatsume is in support class, and she's pretty skilled with inventions just like you. Although, you probably don't get as many explosions with your inventions like she does," Midoriya told her with a sweat drop forming on his forehead.
Uraraka's hand squeezed his a little tightly, causing him to notice. Midoriya got a little concerned about her, but knew that she was just nervous about seeing her.
"That sounds amazing! But first, what about you two? What have you guys been up to since we last saw each other?" Melissa asked them.
Midoriya and Uraraka flinched and felt their faces begin to blush a little. He tried to shake it off and avoided eye contact with Melissa for a moment. He knew that she was talking about school and hero training, but all he could think about was Uraraka in that moment. There were others that happened, that's for sure, but something about Uraraka being in the room made him feel really hot. He got a little flustered which caught Uraraka's attention.
"W-Well... Th-There was this Winter Dance that was pretty fun," Midoriya told her, "Actually, me and Ochaco performs for everyone including other classes. I-it's... kind of a first year thing. It was pretty fun and different from anything else we've ever done here in U.A."
"Wow! That sounds like a lot of fun!" Melissa exclaimed to them.
"We even got to have a sleepover with everyone in Class 1-A," Midoriya told her, "You should definitely meet everyone! They're all excited to see you!"
Midoriya noticed that Uraraka was pretty quiet during the conversation. He didn't want to turn everyone's attention to her, so he decided to keep going.
"Well there have been other things going on, but it would probably be fun to save for when you meet everyone else," Midoriya told her.
"Of course! I wouldn't want you to tell me everything," Melissa said back, "Uncle Might, can we go have lunch in the cafeteria? I wanna meet Deku and Ochaco's friends."
"Sure. Why not?" AllMight said back with a smile, "Just meet me back here before classes start up again."
Midoriya noticed Uraraka tense up when Melissa wanted to join them for lunch. Something about it seemed to bother her. He definitely needed to talk to her about this later.
AllMight waved them off, and they soon headed over to the cafeteria.
