Here's another chapter! Uraraka's kind of going through something at the moment. She seems a bit jealous, but is trying to be friendly with Melissa. She just wishes that some of them would be happy for Kitsune. I really like Uraraka and Kitsune's relationship, even if it isn't much. I just really like the fact that she is happy for her getting this amazing job. I like that she really cares about her getting this job as well! Melissa is beginning to understand why she's feeling this way...

I highly recommend reading The Winter Dance, and everything else after that just to get the full experience especially if you want to know who Kitsune is!! Enjoy :)

In Class 1-A's dormitory...

Midoriya was already up pretty early, so he decided to go jogging for a while. He couldn't go back to sleep and decided to get ready as he left the dormitory. The cool spring breeze made him wake up, and he ran around for a while. He felt so good since Melissa was finally settling down pretty well. Even things were starting to feel less weird and magical. Whatever had happened last week seemed to go away pretty quickly. He felt like he could finally go back to the way things used to be.

The only thing that bothered him was Uraraka. He didn't understand why she was acting so weird. She kept her distance with Melissa and him, and he didn't know why. She got along with Melissa on I-island, he didn't see why she couldn't do that here in U.A. At one point, she seemed to be doing okay during lunch time the other day. But then she seemed to go right back to keeping her distance.

He let out a sigh as he kept running.

Then out of the corner of his eye, he spotted Melissa coming up to see him. Not only that, but she was also wearing a jogging outfit.

"Hey Deku!" Melissa said to him as she ran alongside him.

"Me-Melissa?! What're you doing here?" Midoriya asked her.

"I always go jogging on I-island. I didn't think that I should stop now if I'm somewhere else," Melissa explained to him, "I didn't know that you jogged. Then again, you seemed like someone that would get up early to get some kind of exercise in."

Midoriya laughed nervously as they kept jogging together. For a moment, it was quiet as they ran through the cherry blossom trees. Midoriya noticed that her hair was up in a ponytail with a hat on. She even had a jogging outfit that fit her really well, which made her blush a little. She even brought sneakers on the trip to go jogging specifically.

"I can go jog somewhere else if you want to. We don't have to go together," Melissa said to him.

"N-No. It's okay. I don't mind the company," Midoriya said back a little nervously.

For awhile, they just admired the beautiful view of U.A.'s campus and cherry blossom trees. Melissa didn't say much as they kept jogging. She even took a swig of water as they ran. Midoriya noticed that she was able to keep up with him, which was pretty impressive. He could tell that she did this a lot just by the way she was jogging.

"I hope your friends don't mind me interrupting any of their schoolwork and hero training yesterday," Melissa said to him.

"Of course not. They were all so welcoming and were really excited to see you. Even some of them that hadn't met you were really happy to finally meet you," Midoriya explained to her.

Then he noticed Melissa slow down a bit. He stopped for a moment and noticed her looking a little out of focus. She seemed to be bothered by something.

"Yeah, but... It's Ochaco. She seems... uncomfortable with me being around," Melissa said to him, "I don't know if I said something or did something to upset her, but... She clearly doesn't want me here."

Midoriya's eyes widened, but surprisingly wasn't shocked by any of it. He thought about it some more, and he could tell that she knew something. Melissa was nervous to say anything else, but Midoriya wanted her to be comfortable here.

"Melissa. You're our guest here. I wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable here the whole time. Whatever's bothering you, you can tell me," Midoriya said to her as he walked up to her.

He could tell that he got through to her, but was still hesitant. She looked up at him and something about her seemed like she knew something that he didn't. She looked like she was about to say something, but decided to pull back a bit.

"Maybe I should talk to Ochaco about this," Melissa said to Midoriya, "Maybe if I talk to her, she'll open up a bit more. I don't want her to feel like she can't talk to me about these things."

Midoriya was going to say something to her, but then she jogged off. He tried to keep up with her, and they soon got themselves to keep jogging. The more he jogged with Melissa, the more he realized that she really wanted to be friends with Uraraka. Something about her being with friends with Uraraka seemed important to her.

He just hoped that she could get through to her.

In Class 1-A's dormitory...

Uraraka was already up and ready for a calming Sunday morning. Uraraka played with her heart necklace as she put down her backpack. She noticed that she got up a little too early. She shrugged it off and went over to the kitchen to grab something to eat. She put some toast in the toaster and grabbed some orange juice. She stood there as she looked around the common room.

It was pretty quiet.

She had never gotten up early before, at least, not very often. Usually there were a few of friends up and already having breakfast when she gets up. Even Midoriya would be up before her. Then she got her phone out and wondered where he was. Then she noticed a text message from Kitsune. She opened it, smiling as she read the message.

Kitsune: Good morning! I can't wait to move in to the dorms! I was wondering if maybe you wanted to help me out whenever you're available?

Uraraka smiled and was excited that Kitsune wanted her to help out around her dorm room. She quickly answered her, knowing that Kitsune was finally getting started on her job.

Ochaco: Good morning! Of course I wanna help! I'll be there :)

Uraraka smiled and soon her toast was ready. She felt so good that Kitsune was finally getting ready for her new job. She buttered her toast, feeling so happy for Kitsune. She just wished that her friends were just as excited for her. As soon as she took a bite out of her toast, she thought she heard someone outside. It sounded like someone was laughing.

Uraraka grew curious and walked over to the window. Her eyes widened in shock seeing Midoriya and Melissa laughing as they stopped jogging around campus. Melissa was even wearing a jogging outfit that made her face glow. She looked at Midoriya and noticed how much he smiled around her. She felt her heart ache a little as she held her toast.

Melissa leaned onto Midoriya for a moment which gave her a feeling that she had never before. Something about it felt like that one time during the Winter Dance. When Hatsume took Midoriya away to dance with him. Only this time, this was Melissa. Someone that wasn't oblivious to these sort of things. She clearly was okay with having someone by her side.

Uraraka could barely finish her toast and went over to the trash to toss it out. As soon as she did that, Ashido and a couple others came down to see her already up.

"Good morning Uraraka! You're up early," Ashido said to her with a smile.

"U-Umm... Yeah. I just..." Uraraka said, a little thrown off that Ashido showed up.

Before they knew it, Midoriya showed up without Melissa. He came in looking a little sweaty from jogging. Uraraka noticed that Melissa didn't come inside, which made her feel better.

"Hey Midoriya! Did you go jogging again?" Ashido asked him.

"Ye-Yeah... I got up pretty early so I thought that I might as well," Midoriya explained to them.

Once he spotted Uraraka in the kitchen, she looked away and gulped down her orange juice. Everyone noticed as she drank it all in one gulp and put it in the sink. She avoided eye contact with Midoriya, which she knew confused him.

"I'm going to visit Kitsune. She needs help moving into the dorms," Uraraka said mostly to Ashido.

She went to grab her backpack, but then Midoriya grabbed her hand gently. She looked up at him and tried to avoid his sparkly green eyes.

"Ochaco. Can we talk?" Midoriya asked her.

Uraraka's eyes widened and felt a slight blush since a few of her friends were around. He let her pull her backpack over to her and adjusted it. Midoriya didn't let up, but she really didn't want to talk about Melissa right now. Not when Kitsune needed her.

"Maybe later," Uraraka said back, "I need to go help Kitsune. You know, the one that got a great job that no one seems to care about?"

She knew that Midoriya felt hurt by that comment, but she really didn't want to talk about this. She was about leave, but then Midoriya got in the way. He grabbed her hands gently and tried to look at her. She couldn't deal with this right now, not when she had a friend that was going through something pretty amazing. She wanted to be there for Kitsune, and she felt bad that no one seemed to care.

"Please Ochaco. I care about you. I want to talk about this," Midoriya said to her with pleading eyes, "Is this about Melissa?"

Something about him saying her name to her face gave a weird feeling in her stomach. Uraraka felt the urge to play with her heart necklace, but couldn't since Midoriya was holding her hands. She didn't want to talk about her at the moment and pulled away from him.

"Izuku..." Uraraka said as she turned to give him side glance, "Sometimes I just don't understand you..."

Without even looking back at him, she exited the dormitory and ran over to the school. She didn't know where Kitsune was staying, but she just had to get away from Midoriya for a while. Her legs kept going as she felt her heart necklace hitting her chest. She couldn't deal with him right now, so she decided to go to her friend.

Kitsune was the only one that she wanted to see right now.

In U.A. Academy...

Melissa had gotten up early and was able to go jogging with Midoriya to her surprise. She wasn't expecting to find Midoriya up so early, but then she realized that he would do this all the time. Something about it made her smile as she got dressed in the girls' changing room. AllMight let her stay with him until she got to leave, but she didn't mind getting up and taking a look around. AllMight even showed her around and brought her over to support class. Since she was going to be inventing for a while, he figured that she might need a place to invent some things for U.A.

Once she was done getting dressed, she walked out of the changing room feeling pretty refreshed. She headed over to the support lab, ready to start inventing. All she could think about however was Uraraka. She hoped that they could talk soon. She remembered her wearing that heart necklace and wondered if Midoriya got it for her. It could've been a christmas present from her parents for all she knew. But something about it, and the way she played with it seemed like something very special to her.

She really hoped that things would be okay between them soon.

Before she could get anywhere near the lab, an explosion went off and flew the door open. She jumped back, hoping that she wouldn't get hit by it. She adjusted her glasses and noticed there was some yelling in the background.

"Hatsume! Not again!" Powerloader cried out, "I thought that you would pull back on making so many inventions!"

"Yes, but I can't help it! When I come up with something amazing, then I just have to make one of my babies!" Hatsume cried back.

Powerloader came out of the lab to see Melissa looking a little frightened by her explosions. He tried to dust himself off once he saw her.

"Hi there. Sorry about Hatsume. You must be Melissa Shield," Powerloader said to her.

"Yes. I came here on behalf of my father," Melissa told him, "The teachers and Uncle Might told me that I could make my inventions in the support lab. I hope that I'm not intruding on anything."

"Of course not. That was just Hatsume being Hatsume is all," Powerloader said to her, "Come in. I'm sure Hatsume would love to meet you."

Melissa was a little nervous to enter the lab, but then Hatsume showed out of no where. She was only mere inches away from Melissa's face.

"Hey! You must be AllMight's niece! I've heard so much about you and your father!" Hatsume said a little too loudly.

"Y-You know about my father...?" Melissa pointed out, trying to back away from her.

"Of course! He's my inspiration for some of my babies!" Hatsume said to her, "I mean, he is the reason behind a lot AllMight's amazing hero costumes! I can't enough of that Young Age costume!"

Melissa was at least glad that she was a fan. Something about her seemed like someone that was so focused that she wasn't good with remembering names. Melissa noticed a giant pile of inventions and wondered if they were all Hatsume's. She couldn't look away at amazing and well designed they all looked. She could never invention that many so quickly, which made her wonder if she had some sort of quirk.

"Did you make all of these?" Melissa asked her in awe.

"Yep! But this is only inventions from this month! A lot of my babies were taken away or stored for anyone who needs them!" Hatsume said proudly.

Melissa's eyes widened in shock and couldn't believe what she was even seeing. That pile would've been inventions that she made for the whole year. Something about it made her feel a little intimidated, but she figured that this Hatsume girl had some sort of quirk.

"If you don't mind me asking, do you have a quirk?" Melissa asked her, "You must if you can complete and finish so many inventions."

"Yep! I have Zoom, which allows me to see clearly up to five kilometers away!" Hatsume explained to her, "It helps a lot with getting pieces into places that you can't see with no quirk! It also helps with the more complicated and complex inventions."

Melissa was kind of surprised that her quirk was pretty simple, but yet very useful for someone like her. She thought that it would be some sort of speed quirk just based on how fast she works.

"That's a pretty useful quirk. You must get a lot done pretty quickly," Melissa told her.

"Yes! I do! My babies are very complex, and I want to make sure that I get them done just in time! Although sometimes they can explode if I'm not paying attention to what I'm doing! Silly me!" Hatsume said a little too loudly.

Melissa felt a sweat drop form on her forehead, remembering how close she got to that explosion.

"Well, I hope we can be good friends," Melissa said a little nervously.

"Of course!" Hatsume said back, "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm a little busy with my babies!"

Melissa laughed it off, and Powerloader looked a little embarrassed.

"Alright. You can start on your inventions over here," Powerloader told her as he directed her over to a desk, "If you need any help or certain tools or pieces, don't be afraid to ask."

"Thank you sir. I appreciate you letting me use this lab for a little while," Melissa told him, "This school asked me to create a few things that might help them with hero training. My dad wasn't able to make it, but I know that I can create something pretty special."

"That's the spirit. Now, you get started, and I'll make sure that the teachers know where you are," Powerloader told her, "I'm sure you'll come up with something great."

Once Powerloader left, Melissa and Hatsume were alone in the lab. She took a deep breath in and out and got started.
