To anyone who reads my fanfiction, I have something to say. Recently, I've been getting people who are wanting me to hire them to do Fan Art for my Fanfiction and I turn them down. It's at the point where I'm angry and want to take down all of my fanfiction. I want those who are planning on asking me in a DM or in the reviews to stop asking me because I will never ever hire you. I can do my own fan art for my fanfiction. You want to do some artwork for a writer who is publishing a book, go on social media and ask around.
If you as readers really want me to continue writing my fanfiction, then that's what I'll do because writing fanfiction makes me happy. If you honestly don't like the way I'm writing the story for any fandom that I write for, then you can make yourself an account on any fanfiction website and write it yourself. You don't have to physically read mine.
I DO NOT OWN POKEMON. I ONLY OWN MY OC, THE NICKNAME FOR HER POKEMON PARTNER AND THE POKEMON TEAMS THAT SHE HAS FOR EACH REGION IN THE FANDOM!
Shoutouts:
Narrator: After meeting some new Pokémon in New Bark Town Ash, Riley and their friends are on the road to Violet City to compete for Ash's first Johto League Badge.
Riley: I wonder what kind of Pokémon the gym leader will use.
Meeko: Olu, Olu, Riol.
"I sure am glad we got to see a real live Totodile." said Ash.
"Yeah, and that Cyndaquil was one of the cutest Pokémon I've ever seen." said Misty.
"I wish I could've held Totodile and Cyndaquil." said Riley.
"Too bad we didn't get to see a Chikorita." said Brock.
"Pi?" asked Pikachu, hearing something.
"Ri?" Meeko asked, hearing the same thing.
"Pika!" said Pikachu, pointing in one direction.
"Huh?"
"What's the matter, Pikachu?" asked Ash.
"Riol." said Meeko.
"Are you sensing something, Meeko?" asked Riley.
"We're gonna train hard, hit hard and knock everybody outta the box!" said a girl wearing baseball clothes. "We're in the big leagues, and so we're playing hardball!"
"What's that girl doing?" asked Misty.
"One, two, three strikes, they're out!" she said to her Pokémon partner, holding a yellow baseball bat in her hand. "The side is retired and Chikorita wins the game!"
"She's talking as if she's at a baseball game." said Riley.
"Chika!" said Chikorita.
"Chikorita, the Pokémon champion pulls out another amazing ninth inning victory, and the fans are going wild!" said the girl.
"Hey, a Chikorita!" said Misty.
"Cool!" said Brock.
"Let's check out what the Pokedex says." said Ash.
"Pika! Riol!"
"Chikorita, the Leaf Pokémon. Chikorita releases a sweet relaxing fragrance from the lead on its head." said Dexter.
"That little headband makes Chikorita look really sporty, doesn't it?" asked Misty.
"It does. Maybe in Violet City, we can pick up some headbands for Meeko." said Riley.
"Great idea, Riley." said Misty.
"Riol!" Meeko said, smiling.
"I bet you that girl's just starting out as a Pokémon trainer, and she got her Chikorita in New Bark Town from Professor Elm." said Brock.
"Let's see what kind of attacks it uses." said Ash.
"Rattata." said Rattata, jumping out of the bushes.
"Taking the field for the visitors is Rattata and on the mound for the home team is the vegetation sensation, the grass type that'll mow the competition down." said the girl, announcing. "The one! The only! Chikorita! Its game time!"
"Chika!"
"Play ball, Tackle Attack now!" said the girl.
"Chika!" shouted Chikorita, running towards Rattata to Tackle, only for Rattata to dodge the attack.
"And the first one's low and in the dirt but Chikorita's just warming up." the girl said, continuing the play by play of the battle. "The next one's coming straight down the plate! Go!"
"Chika!" said Chikorita, using Tackle again and headbutts Rattata, knocking it back as Rattata faints.
"Perfect strike!" said the girl. "Chikorita's smoking Tackle Attack knocked Rattata right outta the box! This game is over!" She then takes out one of her Pokéballs and throws it at Rattata, capturing it.
"Ha-ha! Chika!"
"Another Team Casey win!" said Casey. She and Chikorita high fived each other, pleased with their victory.
"Will the fans please rise and salute Casey and Chikorita by singing their victory song?" Casey asked the imaginary crowd.
"We all love Electabuzz. No other team's the same. The players charge the field and electrify the game." sang Casey as Chikorita swings its leaf to the melody. "They pitch and catch and run so quick. Their baseball bats are thundersticks. Their power hitters do the trick, Electabuzz our favorite pick. We love their yellow color."
"Pika. Riol." said Pikachu and Meeko.
"And their black stripes are the best! Electabuzz! They're better than the rest!" sang Casey, finishing her victory song. "Yay! Chikorita, return! Huh?"
Casey looks over her shoulder and sees the quartet watching her. All five gasped at each other and Casey became angry, then starts screaming at them. "Oh, no!" said Ash.
"Don't hurt us!" said Riley, hiding behind Ash.
"I don't believe it, an honest to goodness Pikachu." said Casey, stopping right in front of Ash and Riley. "Yay! Yay!"
"Huh?" said Ash and Riley as Casey picks Pikachu off of Ash's shoulder.
"I just love those powerful pin stripes and that shocking yellow coat." rambled Casey, then pressed Pikachu's cheek against her face. "Your Pikachu's a grand slam!"
"Hey, easy, that's a high voltage Pikachu!" said Ash, walking up with Riley and Meeko towards Casey.
"Please be careful with him. You don't want to be Thundershock by him." said Riley.
"You think it'd really shock me?" Casey asked. "What a blast! I always wondered what that's like. Come on, Pikachu, turn on the juice. Give me a taste!"
"Pika!" said Pikachu as sparks flew out of his cheeks.
"No, Pikachu, she doesn't know what she's saying!" said Ash.
"Come on, you little rat, give me a jolt!" said Casey.
"Riolu!" said Meeko, shocked that Casey called Pikachu a rat.
"You heard her, Pika-Pik." said Riley, pushing Ash back towards Misty and Brock. "Give her a taste of your Thundershock."
"Don't do it, Pika…" said Ash, but it was too late. Pikachu gave Casey a Thundershock, catching Ash, Riley and Meeko in the process.
"Bad idea." said Casey.
"I tried to tell you." said Ash.
"Thanks a lot." Casey said to Ash.
"Don't mention it." replied Ash, taking Pikachu off her hands.
"Man, that hurts." said Riley, her hair standing up.
"Riol." said Meeko, electricity went through her fur. Brother, sister and Emanation Pokémon fell to the ground while Misty and Brock had the look of defeat on their faces.
"I think they're grounded." said Misty.
"Toge." Togepi said in agreement.
"My name's Casey. I'm a huge baseball fan and I just became a Pokémon trainer." said Casey, introducing herself to the quartet.
"We really like your Chikorita." said Brock. "Did you get it from Professor Elm?"
"I sure did!" said Casey.
"See, I told you!" Brock said to Ash and Riley.
"I come from Pallet Town, and my name's Ash Ketchum!" said Ash. "This one right here is my little sister."
"I'm Riley Ketchum." Riley said to Casey.
"And my name's Brock."
"Everybody calls me Misty."
"Please to make your acquaintance." said Casey, taking off her hat.
"Pikachu!" said Pikachu, introducing himself.
"Riolu!" said Meeko, following Pikachu's example.
"Who's this Pokémon?" Casey asked. "I've never seen one like it."
"This is my partner, Meeko." said Riley. "She's a Riolu who are known in the Sinnoh region."
"Your Riolu's so beautiful." said Casey, smiling as she then looks at Pikachu. "Oh, I'm just crazy about yellow Pokémon especially with stripes. That's why I think your Pikachu's so adorable but the Pokémon I want more than anything in the world is Electabuzz. Someday I might even have a whole team of beautiful yellow Pokémon, all of them with stripes!"
"How come you like yellow and striped Pokémon so much, Casey?" inquired Ash.
"'Cause my family's been rooting for the Electabuzz for three generations." Casey explained.
"You mean the Electabuzz baseball team?" Ash asked.
"That's right." she said.
"An Electabuzz fan, huh? No wonder you're so full of energy." said Brock.
"But don't the Electabuzz always finish in last place?" asked Ash.
"That's what I've seen on TV." said Riley.
"This season's gonna be different!" said Casey. "This season they're gonna win the series!"
"Olu?" asked Meeko, tilting her head.
"Ha-ha! No way!" said Ash. "The Electabuzz will get creamed by teams like the Magikarp and the Starmie!"
"You quit saying bad things about the Electabuzz." Casey yelled angrily. "They're gonna beat everybody!"
"He didn't mean it unless it was true." said Riley.
"What?! Say it aint so!" said Casey.
"I'm just telling you like it is. The Electabuzz have and probably always will be creamed by teams like the Starmie and the Magikarp." said Riley.
"Riley's right. The Electabuzz couldn't beat an egg." said Ash.
"Oh yeah? And what about all the great hitters that are on the Electabuzz?" questioned Casey.
"Those guys aren't hitters." said Ash. "I've seen better swings on a playground and at home."
Casey gasped at Ash's statement and starts balling up a fist. "That's the last straw!" she said.
"Uh?" said Ash, leaning back a bit.
"We're going to settle this argument with a Pokémon battle!" declared Casey.
"Uh!"
"Nobody gets away with insulting my favorite team!" said Casey.
"But you don't stand a chance against me." said Ash. "I'm an experience Trainer and Hayley looks up to me."
"Yeah! I just don't want your Pokémon to get pounded into juice by Meeko." said Riley.
"Riol, Riol." said Meeko, agreeing with Riley.
"I don't care how experience you are or how she looks up to you!" said Casey. "Nobody makes fun of the team my family roots for, especially a set of little wimps who knows zero about baseball and even less about Pokémon!"
"Uh oh! Now she's done it." said Brock.
"She's never seen Hurricane Riley." said Misty.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?" shouted Riley, glaring at Casey.
"RIOLU!" shouted Meeko.
"Casey even brought out Hurricane Meeko." commented Ash.
"MY BROTHER AND I KNOW MORE ABOUT POKÉMON THAN YOU DO!" bellowed Riley as Casey backed away from her in fear. "SO, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BATTLE ME AND MEEKO FIRST, YOU WILL TAKE THAT COMMENT BACK!"
"All right, I'll take back the comment about you, but not about your brother." said Casey.
"Riley, calm down." said Misty.
"It's a win-win on your part." said Brock.
"Well, she better…" grumbled Riley as muttered under her breath.
"Alright, you're on!" said Ash, taking Casey's challenge.
"Well, it looks like we finally found somebody as stubborn and hotheaded as Ash." said Misty.
"Togepriii!"
"But not as hot tempered as Riley, which is a shocker." said Brock.
"Let's have a three-on-three Pokémon battle!" said Casey.
"I won't have to use all of my three." said Ash.
"She's new at this, Ash. Don't be too tough on her." said Brock.
"But hurry up, we got to get to Violet City." said Misty.
"You heard them!" said Riley.
"Don't worry, Misty, it won't take me very long to win this one." said Ash. "Choose your first Pokémon, Casey."
"My first one's the last one I'm gonna need." said Casey. "Casey's ready to deliver the pitch. I choose you!"
Out of its Pokéball was a Pidgey. "A Pidgey. Boy, that takes me back." said Ash. "I remember when I first started training and catchi…"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. And yet, I was the one who caught that Pidgey." Riley called out to her brother. "So, stop reminiscing about the past and send out your first Pokémon!"
"Come on, quit babbling and start battling, will you?" asked Casey, getting impatient.
"Okay, but just remember you're the one who asked for it!" said Ash. "I choose you, Charizard!"
Charizard roared as it came out of its Pokéball. "Hm?" asked Casey.
"Ash is gonna battle her with Charizard?" questioned Brock.
"I think this game is gonna be a shutout." said Misty.
"Let's see how this round plays out." said Riley.
"Olu." said Meeko.
"That sagging dragon of yours doesn't scare us, Ash Ketchum!" shouted Casey. "Pidgey, Quick Attack now!"
"Pidgey!" shouted Pidgey, quickly flying through the air, towards Charizard and bounces off of its body. Charizard puffed its nose and stunned Pidgey, causing it to faint and Casey gasps.
"Pidgey, return!" said Casey, returning Pidgey to its Pokéball. "I'll use my pinch hitter. I choose…Rattata!"
"Rattata!" it said, ready for its first battle.
"All right, Rattata! Keep your eye on the Charizard and tag it out with a Tackle attack!" Casey said through her megaphone.
"Rattata!" said Rattata, using Tackle on Charizard, only to be knocked out after bouncing its head on Charizard's stomach.
"Rattata struck out!" cried Casey.
"That's two down, one to go." said Ash.
"Oh, yeah?" asked Casey. "Rattata, return!"
"Should I just up Ash's battle strategy when I battle him?" asked Riley.
"I think you should." said Brock.
"You may never know what kind of plan your brother has." said Misty.
"Casey, maybe you better quit." Ash suggested to her.
"My grandpa says 'It aint over till it's over'. And this match is a long way from over!" said Casey.
"Oh yeah? Here's a little something I learned from my brother over the years." said Riley. "We Ketchums never give up without a fight."
"Whatever!" said Casey. "And now, stepping up to the plate, here's….Chikorita!"
"Chika!" squealed Chikorita.
"Come on, Chikorita, it's the bottom of the ninth!" said Casey. "It's Vine Whip time!"
"Chika!" said Chikorita, then releases its vines from its neck, wrapping them around Charizard's neck.
"Don't choke!" taunted Casey.
"Charizard, use your flamethrower but try to go easy on it." said Ash.
"Zard." growled Charizard, sending out a medium size ball of its flamethrower at Chikorita. The fireball grazed Chikorita's leaf, leaving behind some fire.
"Chika?" asked Chikorita, looking up at its leaf and sees the fire before going into an all-out freak out mode. Running around it a circle, Chikorita puts out the flame and passes out from getting dizzy.
"Chikorita!" shouted Casey.
"Chikorita is unable to battle! Ash wins the match!" said Brock.
"I can't believe it was a total shutout." said Casey. "Chikorita, return."
"Cheer up." said Brock. "You gave it your best shot, Casey!"
"Yeah. You played a great match, especially for a rookie!" said Misty.
"I know that Ash did his best when he first started out." said Riley.
"Misty and Riley are right." said Ash.
"Huh?" said Casey, looking up at Ash. "And now that it's over, lets shake hands and be friends. What do you say, Casey?"
Tears formed in her eyes and Casey starts sniffling. "Just leave me alone!" said Casey, running off to cry.
"Casey, wait!" Misty called out after her.
"Must be hard for a tough kid like that to lose." said Brock.
"It's hard for anybody." said Misty.
"But that is what happens when you challenge a great trainer!" said Ash.
"Oh, Ash." said Riley.
"Riol." said Meeko.
"Yeah, you should know about that, right?" asked Misty, causing Ash to giggle.
"Pika!" squealed Pikachu.
Casey cried as she ran through the forest. "After everything my family told me, how can I ever face them again?" Casey thought to herself as tears fell down her face. "Ahh!"
Casey trips over a stone and falls to the ground, sobbing into the dirt. "Daddy, grandpa your girl's a loser." said Casey.
[Flashback]
"For generations this family has had a proud tradition of cheering only for our heroes on the Electabuzz, but now, Casey, we have a new hero to root for and that hero is you!" said Casey's father.
"We're mighty proud of you, Casey." said Casey's grandfather. "You're the first member of this family ever to try to become a Pokémon trainer. "So, take a lesson from the Electabuzz. They never give up and neither should you."
"Keep trying your best and we'll never give up on you either." Casey's father tells her.
"We'll be rooting for the Electabuzz and for you too." said Casey's grandfather.
"I'll make you all proud of me. No matter what happens, I'll never quit!" Casey declared.
"Casey, Casey, she's our girl." Casey's family said as they chanted their cheer. "Best Pokémon trainer in the whole wide world! Casey, Casey…."
[Flashback ends]
"Well, win or lose, I am gonna make them proud of me." said Casey, determined to make her entire family proud. "The Electabuzz don't give up and I'm not gonna give up either!"
She then grabs her hat from the ground and places it back on her head. "I'll keep trying. I'll try just as hard as the Electabuzz do and nothing's gonna stop me!" said Casey. "I made a promise, and I'm gonna keep it!"
Applause was heard, turning Casey's attention to look at the forest around her. "Huh?" she said.
"Spoken like a true Electabuzz fan!" said Jessie.
"With guts like that, you're bound to beat that twerp next time!" said James.
Just then, Team Rocket drops down from the branches, wearing Electabuzz Baseball items. "Electabuzz! Electabuzz!" chanted James and Jessie, waving around their mementos. "They play the game like nobody does! Everybody's cheering, and it's because…"
"Swing it!" said Meowth.
"Everybody loves Electabuzz!" James and Jessie said, finishing their cheer while Meowth laughs.
"Are you ballplayers?" asked Casey.
"No, we're not players, we're just rabid Electabuzz fans!" said Jessie.
"Electabuzz fans? I'm the biggest Electabuzz fan of all." Casey said.
"We saw you battling against that little league Pokémon trainer." said Jessie as she and the boys walked closer to her.
"We all thought you should have won!" said Meowth.
"Yeah." said Casey, hanging her head.
"Cheer up, he and his sister's beaten us a million times but we're not licked." said James.
"Huh?"
"Ooh!" whimpered James as Jessie elbowed him in the ribs.
"My friend means that you never had a chance against that no-good conniving sneak of a trainer." said Jessie.
"You mean Ash is a cheater?" asked Casey.
"A big cheater." said Jessie.
"But not as big as we are!" said James, causing Jessie to step hard on his foot.
"Just between you and me, that twerp got a reputation for violating a little-known Pokémon rule that forbids a Charizard against new trainers and then laughing about it behind their backs." Jessie tells Casey.
"And he's probably telling his pals and sister what a chump that Electabuzz fan is." said Meowth.
"I have to get even with him." said Casey.
"Why not battle him again, and this time you'll be ready for all of his dirty tricks!" said Jessie.
"Yes! I'll show Ash he can't cheat an honest fan!" said Casey.
"Do it for the sake of all the other Trainers he's cheated!" Jessie said in her ear.
"Do it for the honor of the Electabuzz!" added James.
"Just do it!" said Meowth.
"Yeah, let's go beat that cheater!" said Casey, more determined than ever.
At a baseball stadium, Casey and Ash were out on the field. "This time things are gonna be different, Ash!" said Casey.
"The only thing that's gonna be different is that this time, you're going to wind up 0-2." said Ash.
"You're not gonna beat me." fired Casey. "Let me tell you something, Mr. All Star Trainer. Don't think you're a hall of famer just 'cause you beat me exactly one time."
"Yeah, that's the spirit, Casey!" said Brock.
"Uh, Brock, aren't we supposed to be on Ash's side?" asked Misty.
"I usually root for the underdog because the underdog is usually Ash." said Brock.
"I didn't think of that. Destroy him, Casey!" said Misty.
"Oh my god." said Riley, pinching her nose.
"Olu." said Meeko.
"Go, Casey!" said Brock.
"Some friends they are." said Ash, glancing at Brock and Misty. "At least I know Riley and Meeko are on my side."
"Now, a Pokémon rematch, and this time it's a whole new ballgame, fans as Casey goes into her wind-up, the kick and she delivers!" Casey announces, sending out Chikorita.
"Chika!"
"Here we go again." said Ash. "Looks like we're gonna sweep the double header, Pikachu. Your turn to step up to the plate!"
"Pika!" said Pikachu.
"I may still be a rookie but you're not gonna fool me with your dirty tricks like you did in our first match!" said Casey. "Chikorita, use your Sweet Scent Attack! Now!"
"Chika!" shouted Chikorita, using its leaf to send a sweet smell at Pikachu, who then became dazed by it.
"That's so relaxing." said Ash, smelling Sweet Scent as well.
"Chikorita! Tackle Attack now!" Casey said through her megaphone.
"Chiko!" shouted Chikorita, tackling Pikachu.
"Welcome, sports fans to today's Pokémon double trouble header!" said Jessie, as she, James and Meowth watched from the scoreboard. "This brawl game's already underway and Chikorita's in the lead so, James, tell all the fans about our nasty plans."
"Well, Jess, after those two little shortstupes get through battling and wearing out their roster, Team Rocket will take the field and their Pokémon." said James. "He-he-he!"
"This scheme ought to get us into the hall of shame." said Meowth.
"Yes, well, just make sure you do commit any errors, Meowth." Jessie tells him.
"Don't worry about that, coach." said Meowth, confidently. "Meowth's on the ball, and so is our rooting section!" Meowth starts laughing as he pulls out a remote.
Out on the field, a group of machine baseball players popped up. "What's that?" asked Casey.
"I have a feeling that this is has Team Rocket written all over it." said Jordan as the players put away their instruments, pulled out balloons and lets them go.
"Gotta catch em all!" the mechanical players cheered. "Gotta catch em all!"
"Say, that's pretty cool, Meowth!" said James.
"That's because they're electric fans!" said Meowth.
"You don't think baby Twerpette would know it was us?" Jessie asked.
"Maybe, but I hope not." he tells her.
"Thanks fans, I'll do my best!" Casey said to them, not knowing that they weren't real. "And now I'm gonna even up the score."
"Not if I can help it." said Ash. "Pikachu, Thunderbolt Attack!"
"Pikachu!" shouted Pikachu, releasing Thunderbolt from his body. Chikorita blocks his Thunderbolt by fanning its leaf in a circle.
"Pika?" asked Pikachu, surprised by what Chikorita was doing.
"Pikachu's attacks aren't working!" said Misty.
"Ash, Chikorita's a grass-type." Brock called out. "They're strong against Electric attacks!"
"You two are nuts." said Riley.
"Why?" they both asked.
"You switched supporting sides." said Riley. "This is just like Celadon City all over again."
"Riolu." said Meeko, pointing to the field at Casey. "Riol, Riol."
"You started to cheer on Casey instead of Ash." said Riley, translating for Meeko.
"Oh…" said Brock and Misty.
"You guys, this is just me and Meeko's opinion." Riley said to her friends. "The both of you are our friends and friends are supposed to support each other through thick and thin."
"Go, Chikorita! Hit up the middle with a Tackle Attack now!" said Casey.
"Chika! Rita!" shouted Chikorita, using Tackle once more on Pikachu, who was then knocked back.
"That's a line drive!" said Ash.
"Nice hit!" said Casey.
"Now the next batter steps up and it's the real hitting machine of the Team Rocket line up!" said Meowth. Out of nowhere, the ground in front of Ash opens up and reveals a machine with mechanical arms holding a baseball bat.
"Uh-oh, Whats that thing for?" asked Ash.
"That's new." Riley pointed out.
"Ha! Don't act like you don't know." said Casey. "They said you were a cheater, and this proves it! I'm ready for your tricks this time, buddy!"
"Is Ash really a cheater?" Misty asked Riley.
"Ash will only cheat if its Hide and Seek. But that's if I let him do it." said Riley. "Otherwise, he's straight up honest. Don't tell him I told you that."
"What are you talking about? I don't need to cheat to win." said Ash. "You're the cheater. I can win fair and square!"
"I am an Electabuzz fan!" Casey said. "I always play by the rules."
"That thing is headed for the Pokémon!" said Misty.
"Look out!" shouted Brock. Chikorita stood there, shaking in fear as it ducks its head. Pikachu jumps in front of it, protecting Chikorita. The armed machine swings the bat, knocking Chikorita and Pikachu into the air.
"Pikachu!" shouted Ash.
"Chikorita!" shouted Casey.
"They're hit deep to straightaway center field." said Jessie.
"They could be outta here." said Meowth.
"A home run!" said Jessie. "Now, we'll run home with our two new Pokémon!"
"Who's running the scoreboard?" asked Riley.
"Olu?" asked Meeko.
"Pikachu!" Ash called out.
"Chikorita!" said Casey. Team Rocket starts laughing as they pop out through the pink smoke cloud.
"It's them!" said Ash as Riley and Meeko caught up with him and Casey.
"Attention, Twerps, its Prepare for Trouble Day."
"But you're both out, which makes it a double play!"
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To excite our side with a big ovation!"
"To strike out the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach with a baseball glove!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket throws their fast balls at the speed of light!" said Jessie.
"Strike Three!" said Meowth.
"We won, Jessie!" said James.
"James!" cried Jessie.
"Jessie!" cried James.
"That's right!" said Meowth.
"I don't know how to even describe this Team Rocket entrance." said Riley.
"Riol." said Meeko, fist bumping Riley.
"That's Team Rocket." said Ash.
"Huh? It is?" asked Casey.
"Your Pokémon will make us rich, girlie!" said Jessie.
"We're tired of being poor sports!" said Meowth. Casey growled at this, angry that she let Team Rocket take advantage of her this way.
"How could I be fooled by such no-good thieves like you?" asked Casey.
"Just lucky." said James. "Sorry to hit and run, but our work here's done."
"You're not going anywhere till you give us back our Pokémon!" said Ash.
"Otherwise, you'll have to fight me and Meeko." said Riley.
"Riolu!" shouted Meeko.
"That's what you think, Twerps." said Meowth, still holding the remote. "But I'll throw you a curve, some sinkers and sliders too. I'm gonna have a ball with this." Meowth presses another button and ball machines popped up. "Aim and fire!" he shouted.
Ash, Hayley and Meeko stood there, taking the hits while Casey runs back and forth behind them until she gets hit by a curve ball. "Ow! I give up! I give up!" cried Casey.
"We can't just quit and let Team Rocket beat us!" said Ash.
"What about your Chikorita? You're willing to let them use your Pokémon to do evil?" asked Riley.
"My sister's right!" said Ash. "A Pokémon match is just like baseball. You got to take whatever the other team throws at you and hang in there until the last out."
As baseballs were hurling at Ash and Hayley, both brother and sister stood their grounds, glaring. "And maybe you'll get that big hit!" said Ash, who suddenly gets hit by a couple of balls and falls on his back. "I forgot to mention. There's one big difference between a Pokémon match and baseball."
"What's that?" asked Casey as Riley starts doing cartwheels and backhand springs.
"A Pokéball's not a bean ball." said Ash and Casey sighs.
"Well, this match isn't over till it's over." said Casey, holding a baseball bat. "It's my turn at bat and this time, I'm not striking out!"
She then starts swinging her bat, hitting every single ball that flew at her direction. "That's it! Keep swinging!" said Ash.
"Now Casey's batting a thousand!" said Brock.
"She's hitting everything they throw at her!" said Misty.
"All of a sudden that little worm's a big-league slugger!" said Jessie.
"You said you had things under control!" said James.
"Yeah, but in the late innings I always lose control." said Meowth.
"Don't look now, but even our automated pep squad is turning against us!" said James, looking at the crowd in the stands.
"Gotta hit em all! Gotta hit em all!" said the pep squad.
"Ha-ha! Now for some ace relief from the Poke-bullpen!" said Ash.
"Let's put this ball game away!" said Casey.
"You got it!" said Riley.
"Squirtle, Bulbasaur, I choose you!" shouted Ash.
"Pidgey, Rattata, I choose you!" shouted Casey.
"Alfie, Mystic, I choose you!" shouted Riley.
"Squirtle!"
"Bulbasaur!
"Pidgey!"
"Rattata!"
"Primeape!"
"Dratini!"
Every single Pokémon caught the baseballs and threw them back at Team Rocket, causing them to dodge. "Rattata, line drive!" said Casey.
"Ratta!" shouted Rattata, aiming for James' stomach. "Ta!"
"Hurry up, Pidgey, tag them out!" said Casey.
"Pidge!" cooed Pidgey, striking James' side, causing him to let go of Pikachu and Chikorita.
"Glad you're back on the team, Pikachu." said Ash.
"We would be lost without you." said Riley.
"Riolu!" added Meeko.
"Pika!" squealed Pikachu.
"Chikorita!" said Casey, catching her partner.
"Chika!" said Chikorita.
"Are you ready to send them to the showers?" she asked.
"Chika!" it said, nodding.
"Huh!" said Team Rocket, getting three hard angry glares.
"Well, looks like we're goin' into extra innings!" said Ash.
"But I have a feeling this game maybe called on account of pain." said Casey.
"They're getting more than just pain you know." said Riley as she and Meeko added another tick mark in her notebook.
"Pika! Chika! Riol!" said Pikachu, Chikorita and Meeko as Team Rocket screamed in horror.
"Chikorita, Razor Leaf!" shouted Casey. Chikorita swings its leaf around, sending extra sharp leaves at Team Rocket.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt Attack!" shouted Ash.
"Meeko! Vacuum Wave!" shouted Riley.
"Pika….chu!"
"Riolu!"
Both attacks were released as Thunderbolt hits Team Rocket while Vacuum Wave hits the ground in front of them. "Now!" said Casey, Ash and Riley.
"Pikachu!"
"Meeko!"
"Chikorita!"
"Triple Tackle Attack!" the three trainers shouted. All three Pokémon ran towards Team Rocket with Meeko Tackling Meowth really hard. "Looks like Team Rocket's striking out again!" shouted Team Rocket.
"Goodbye!" said Ash and Casey.
"We'll see them in the next town. We always do." said Riley.
"Wow! Team Rocket's out of the park!" said Misty.
"Who would have guessed that those three flops would become such a big hit!" said Brock.
"Pika! Chika!" said Pikachu and Chikorita as they high fived each other while Meeko smirked. Ash and Casey chuckled as they high-fived as well with Riley grinning from ear to ear.
"Thanks again for accepting my apology, Ash." said Casey. "I never should've let those three crooks trick me into thinking you were a cheater."
"That's okay." said Ash. "They used to trick me when I was a rookie too."
"You?" asked Brock.
"But that was a long time ago." said Misty.
"But not me." said Riley. "Because I made a deal with Meowth."
"I don't think they'll ever get past Riley." said Brock.
"Never in a million years." added Misty. "Right, Ash and Riley?"
"Yeah." said the siblings.
"If I keep trying just like the Electabuzz do, maybe someday I'll be a great trainer just like you are, Ash!" said Casey.
"Yeah, and I'll start training harder because you're gonna be tough to beat." Ash tells her.
"Maybe we'll even battle each other in the Johto League." said Casey.
"Pikachu, if I ever get my own team of yellow Pokémon, I hope they're all as brave and beautiful as you and Meeko are."
"Pikachu." said Pikachu.
"Riolu." said Meeko.
"Bye guys, and thanks." said Casey.
"Bye Casey." said Ash and Riley.
"Good luck on your journey." said Misty.
"Hmm. That Casey's gonna be a very interesting young lady." said Brock. "I wonder if she has a sister."
"Ah!" exclaimed Misty and Riley.
"I can't wait until we meet again." said Ash, gaining the other's attention. "'Cause the next time I see her, she's not gonna be a rookie anymore. She's gonna be…a real pro."
"I think so, too." said Riley as they turned around and head back out on the road.
Narrator: Though they go their separate ways, Ash and his new friend are headed toward the same goal. Becoming the best Pokémon trainers, they can be.
Riley: Maybe that should be my goal for being 8-years old.
Narrator: You think so?
Riley: I know so. Meeko, want to help me be the best 8-year-old trainer?
Meeko: Riolu!
Narrator, amused by Riley's goal: With, practice, patience and determination they just may get there.
