Peter was on the mood as Kraven began firing some more darts at him and Kraven then put his crossbow away; he then took out two twin machetes and lunged at Peter. Peter wasn't quick enough to dodge and then punched at Kraven but then one of the machetes was going through his suit and then then going to his skin. Peter grunted as he felt that and managed to kick Kraven off. Kraven then lunged at Peter with Peter having to move fast to dodge his attacks as well as try punching and kicking at him when he could.

"You are strong and fast... Much more potential than the other men that I've hunted..." Kraven told him as Peter kept on the move.

"Uh... Thanks... I think... You're definitely putting up more of a fight than most of the other men I've fought myself..." Peter then replied as Kraven got Peter pinned down.

"But you are untrained and not experienced... You lack the edge and survival instinct of an animal... You hold back too much... I'm almost unwilling to slay you in this state... Almost!" Kraven told him as Peter thinking quick then got his hand free and then sent a web to Kraven's eyes. Peter took the distraction to get free and decided to try hiding and gather his bearings.

Peter looked to the open cover to the sewer and groaned that he couldn't believe that he was going to do this again; "Here goes nothing..." Peter thought as he then went through it and then hid in the darkness as Kraven followed.

Kraven looked over and seemed to be sniffing about for him and then caught Peter's sense in his direction. He lunged at Peter and Peter then started web slinging away. However it seemed that Kraven could keep up in the enclosed space better than he could and he was catching up.

However up from the water in tattered clothes was a large humanoid lizard man who tackled Kraven to the ground with him in awe. Peter had his eyes widened as he recognised him as Connors who was now bigger and had his face lizard like with a snout.

Kraven felt his hands crushed by Connors' claws and was knocked out with a punch. Peter then webbed him up and got him. "Thanks for the save Doctor... So should I count on you as a partner now?" Peter asked gratefully as Connors shook his head.

"I'm a scientist; not a superhero... I shall remain here to work on the cure... However; should you ever need help..." Connors said as Peter smiled underneath his mask. He went to the ladder to climb up with Kraven but found a flash and Peter was almost in a panic. If there was video or pictures then it could lead someone to Connors...

Peter then got up and found the person running and used his web to snatch the phone away and quickly went to deleting the pictures taken. "What the hell you menace! That's my phone!" yelled Eddie furiously coming up to him as Peter jumped and quickly tossed it back to him as police came. "Spider-Man and that guy was just fighting in the sewer... There was this giant lizard man... I got photos but he deleted them! I saw it!" Eddie yelled to the police as they looked at him incredulously.

"Isn't this the Brock kid? The one who thought that the football captain was Spider-Man and brought a gang of criminals to his school?" asked one of the officers as most of them were scoffing at Eddie.

"But I am right... If you just take a look..." Eddie protested with Peter feeling sorry for Eddie but if he was believed then... They could hunt down Connors and...

"I think the kid has his eyes playing tricks on him... He should just go home and get some rest..." Peter said as he tossed Kraven to them for his citizen's arrest and then web slinged off. He felt himself healing from the wound but the hole in the suit and the smell...

Peter had gotten up in the morning and saw on Eddie's blog that he posted about witnessing Spider-Man fighting Kraven which was on the news outlets; while also putting in about the lizard man he saw as well as Spider-Man deleting his photos (putting in a crudely drawn depiction of the Lizard). Not brought up in most articles as Peter glanced at them; mostly saying that Eddie was spotted as an unreliable witness with his news blog being deemed unreliable thanks to the Flash Thompson incident.

Peter got to school and saw Eddie with his head down with students snickering as they saw Eddie; "So seeing lizard people in the sewers now?" asked someone as Eddie looked at them.

"Maybe one of them is a lizard that I flushed down the toilet and became a person!" suggested another student.

"I think he has been watching too many old science fiction B-movies!" taunted one of them as Eddie groaned.

"You alright Eddie?" Mary Jane asked concerned coming up to Eddie along with Peter.

"I know what I saw... Spider-Man! Not enough that he made a fool out of me but he does it again; he knows that I saw it and deleted my proof! I now NEED to reveal who he is so that people can see me as credible! Plus revenge for the humiliation that he caused me!" Eddie snapped out loud as Peter watched him run off to the doors with students snickering and they frowned.

Peter found Felicia coming up to him; "There was a lizard guy... Wasn't there?" Felicia asked as Peter shushed her but her look made him sigh.

"Yeah but... The lizard... Is a good guy and if people knew that he was down there... He could be hunted down and he saved my life twice... I don't want him to be an outcast..." Peter replied as Felicia nodded her head.

"Got it and you do this by making your best friend an outcast and gaslighting him. I am not judging as I trust you are doing this for a right reason... But still... You have some hard choices to make..." Felicia whispered back to him and Peter sighed and nodded.

"I do indeed..." Peter replied as he went to the front doors himself.

Kraven was now in FBI custody with the news of his defeat by Spider-Man and now there were plenty of agencies wanting a claim to him; he was silent as he was cuffed and in a highly guarded cell. He refused to say anything and not bring up the lizard man; when he was free then the lizard man was to be HIS prey.

Such a beautiful creature... A possible worthy foe...

Just like the Spider-Man had the potential to be; he was looking forward to seeing him again where he would have more experienced and hopefully more of a killer's edge.

In his cell he sat as the doors opened and in came an aged man in a military uniform; "Sergei Kravinoff... Kraven the Hunter... You have no shortage of people that want to get their hands on you and you are unlikely to see another day of freedom... Unless you accept the offer that I have for you..." the man told Kraven as he listened.

"Animals like to hunt in packs from what I know and I have a team that could serve as your pack; do time serving missions for us and you could be set free." the man offered as Kraven looked intrigued.

"Who are you and are you here on behalf of your government or some other force?" Kraven asked as the man coughed.

"We act in the interests of the US government but this is a black ops agency with all files strictly classified. I am General Slocum and right now that's all the information that you will get from me!" the man said as Kraven then gave him a smirk.

Peter was at work on the sewing machine in his room; thinking that his suit was ruined, he was now working on completing a new suit to go along with the mask that he had already made and using the best design that he had drawn in his sketchbook. He smirked as he tried it on and thought it looked good. Looked more like a superhero and no sewer smell!

The time spent in the shower getting the smell out...

Lizard here will be like Man-Bat in Beware the Batman in that more of an ally to the hero than a villain while he works on trying to cure himself.

Plus yeah I keep on giving things to get Peter and Eddie's friendship strained and not only that but building up a grudge that he developed against Spider-Man which only further strains things on Peter's end. Am I going anything with the venom that Eddie feels against our masked hero?
