Francine brushed her hair, making sure each strand was ideally in place. She placed her hairbrush down and looked at her hair. It was in its usual style, left out and loose.

"I should do something different with my hair." Francine parted her hair, twisted each lock into braids, and adorned the ends with white bows.

She smiled at the mirror and stroked her hair, thinking of everyone complimenting her new hairstyle. She headed to the living room. She noticed Shang Tsung sitting on the couch reading a book, and she took a seat next to him. Shang Tsung looked up from his book and to Francine, but he went back to reading his book.

"Notice anything different?" Francine gently pulled on her braids.

"You have done a new hairstyle." Shang Tsung said.

"You like it? I thought of doing something different."

"I prefer your usual hairstyle, though the braids are adequate."

Francine propped her feet on the coffee table and picked up a magazine. She flipped to a page talking about makeup.

"This lady is wearing braids, and she's pretty. She has red lipstick, too." Francine pushed the magazine over Shang Tsung's book. He pushed the magazine away.

Francine sighed and continued reading her magazine. As she neared the end of the magazine, she felt Shang Tsung's hand clutch one of her braids, and then she twirled the braid in his hand.

"Seems like you like my hair." Francine chuckled.

"It does help with focus." Shang Tsung said.

"I won't go anywhere until you finish your book."

Shang Tsung flipped to a new page while Francine laid back.
