Things are going to start getting interesting starting with this chapter.

Misarae gave me a lot of much needed advise while writing this chapter. Thank You!

A brief reminder:

"What is there to explain, Callie? You saw everything with your own eyes. He wants to start over, and I am going to give him a chance." Callista knew that Callie was just trying to give her a hard time, so she decided to give back as good as she got. As she walked past Callie, she added, "Besides, you and Chance aren't the only ones entitled to a healthy sex life."

Callie's jaw dropped at her grandmother's insinuation.

Jake woke up and saw Felina sleeping peacefully, with her head on his chest. He brought his left paw up and started to stroke her hair, which caused Felina to let out a soft purr of contentment as she slept. Jake thought to himself, "I must be the luckiest tom on the planet. I am getting married to this beautiful, loving, and compassionate she-cat." Jake looked down at Felina, kissed the top of her head, and then thought, "Callie was right, though. She does make the most adorable sounds when she is sleeping." Jake closed his eyes again, but he did not stop caressing his fiancée's hair.

Felina started to waken as she felt Jake playing with her hair. She lifted her head and gazed at Jake's face, and then she asked, "Did you have a good nap?"

Jake opened his eyes again and looked into Felina's eyes, then replied, "Yes, I did, my love. Care to get some lunch, and then we can make reservations for dinner?"

Felina felt her stomach growl in hunger as Jake asked her about lunch. She said, "We can try the bar over by the hotel pool. There were some pretty good smells coming from the kitchen when we walked by earlier."

"Ok, Felina, lead on," Jake said as Felina lifted herself from his chest and extended a paw to help him up.

They left the cabana and walked back towards the hotel's pool. As they did, an errant beach ball crossed their path, followed by a pair of young kittens. The kittens were screaming as the ball rolled further away from them. Jake turned to Felina and said, "Wait here for a moment. I am just going to help them get their ball back." He gave her paw a squeeze before letting go and running after the kittens. Jake was able to get to the ball faster than the kittens could, and caught the ball in his paws.

He turned and asked the kittens, "Who wants to play catch?" Both kittens started smiling from ear to ear as they jumped up and down, swinging their paws in the air.

"Ok then, here it comes!" Jake said as he lightly threw the ball at one of the kittens. The kitten caught the ball and threw it back to Jake. Jake then threw the ball to the other kitten, who missed the ball, ran after the ball, picked it up, and then ran back to its sibling. As the kitten was running, it lost its footing and fell forward onto the pavement. It started crying.

Jake ran over to the crying kitten, picked it up, and cradled the kitten in his arms to comfort it. Jake gave the kitten a quick look over to make sure that the kitten was not injured. Seeing no visible injuries, he said softly to the kitten, "There, there, you are going to be fine. No boo boos on you, little one." The kitten stopped crying and cuddled into Jake.

Felina watched as Jake played with the kittens, and then took care of the crying kitten. She said to herself, "He is going to be a real good father to our kittens. Once we have them, that is." Then she rubbed her stomach as she smiled.

The kittens' mother walked past Felina, calling out for her kittens. Felina stopped her and said, "My fiancé has them. They are right over there." She pointed to where Jake was holding one kitten, and clasping the paw of the other as he walked back towards Felina.

The mother ran over to Jake, took her kittens from him, and said, "Thank you for finding them. I was sitting by the pool, when they took off."

"They sort of found me, Ma'am. Their ball happened to roll by as we were heading back to the hotel to get some lunch. I just helped them get their ball back and played with them for a little bit to keep them calm. I figured that someone would be looking for these two good little kittens," Jake said as he shot a wink at the kittens.

"Yes, they are good little scamps, aren't they? Thank you again," the mother said. Then she took the kittens and their ball back to the pool.

Jake watched the kittens go with their mother as Felina walked up beside him and placed an arm around his waist, then said, "You looked so happy playing with those kittens."

"I was, Felina. I just hope that I can be a good father to our own kittens," Jake said as he turned to Felina.

"Jake, I have a feeling you don't have to worry about that. You are going to be the best father that our kittens could ever want," Felina said, and then she kissed him, which he returned.

"Let's get that lunch we were talking about," Jake said as his stomach let out a growl.

They continued walking to the hotel to get lunch, holding each other's paws.

Dark Kat finished repairing the equipment that had been destroyed by the flooding, satisfied that everything was in working order. He called for some of the creeplings to come to the planning area to come to the planning area in order to assign them their roles in the upcoming attack. Once about ten of the higher ranking creeplings arrived, he said to them, "We are going to attack the treasury in two days. Prepare a small bomb and place it in the TurboKat somewhere that T-Bone will never suspect. Also, get the tank ready to take care of any Enforcer problems that we might have. Now go!"

The creeplings scattered upon Dark Kat's command and started taking care of his orders. Dark Kat then turned to the intercom and summoned Turmoil and T-Bone to the planning area.

After they arrived, Dark Kat said, "We are attacking the Treasury in two days. Make sure that you both are ready."

"As you command, Dark Kat," Turmoil replied. Then she and T-Bone left.

After they left, Dark Kat sat down and said, "My dear Turmoil, your service to me is almost at an end. It is a shame that I have to destroy the TurboKat, as well as you and T-Bone, but I cannot have any loose ends once my plans have been completed." Then he laughed maniacally.

As they walked through the tunnels, T-Bone thought, "How am I going to let the others know what is happening? Katerina has a communicator, but it only links to mine. A fat lot of good that would do." He racked his brain, trying to come up with a way to let the others know what was going on. The only solution that he could come up with was to get to the TurboKat and use the radio in it to contact Razor. It was very risky, but it was the only solution that he could possibly pull off.

As he and Turmoil arrived at their room, he pulled her inside and then closed the door. He turned to her and said, "I am going to need you to create a distraction so I can get to my jet and call the others. They need to know that we are going to attack the treasury in two days, so they can be ready and let the Enforcers know what is going to happen."

"What do you expect me to do? There is not a lot of time to come up with something elaborate, and I have very limited resources available," Turmoil asked.

"I don't know, Turmoil. Come up with something, and it had better be quick. The others need to know what is going on, and the sooner, the better," T-Bone replied.

"I'll figure out something, T-Bone," Turmoil said as she looked around the room, trying to find something that she could use to distract everyone in the lair so T-Bone could get to the TurboKat. Then it occurred to her that if she started a fire, T-Bone could get to his jet while everyone else was busy trying to put the fire out. The only problem with that plan was, would the creeplings and Dark Kat even come if there was a fire in her room? Only one way to find out. Turmoil turned back to T-Bone and said, "You had better get to the jet, and be careful. I am going to start the distraction that you requested."

"You had better not do anything reckless, Turmoil. I don't want you to get hurt," T-Bone replied.

"As you said earlier, 'I can be as reckless as you'. Now go!" Turmoil said as she started walking to an electrical box in the corner of the room.

T-Bone left the room and walked down a few of the tunnels to get back to the TurboKat. As he arrived at the TurboKat, he saw a few creeplings hanging around. Then he heard a claxon sound. The creeplings scattered and ran past him without even stopping. He ran to the jet, got in, and turned on the radio. He said, "Razor, Empress, Caliber. Dark Kat is going to attack the treasury in two days." Not receiving a reply, he asked, "Is anybody there?"

Turmoil removed the cover to an electrical panel that was located in her room. She took a look at the inside, and saw that there were already some signs of damage, probably from the water leak, earlier. That would give her the perfect excuse to feed Dark Kat. Now whether he would believe her or not was another question, but there was no time to worry about that. Turmoil grabbed her metal hair brush and threw it at the panel. The brush hit its mark and shorted out the panel. Sparks flew, landing on the floor as well as the bedding, starting a decent-sized fire. The fire alarm went off shortly afterwards.

Callie's communicator started vibrating on the desk she was sitting at. She saw that it was T-Bone calling. She picked it up and said, "Empress here, T-Bone."

T-Bone smiled at hearing Empress' voice, but then said, "Dark Kat is going to attack in two days. Have everything ready, and make sure that Feral knows exactly what is going on." He choked up, and then said softly, "I miss you terribly, and I can't wait to be in your arms again, my love."

Callie felt her heart flutter hearing that. She replied, "I can't wait to be back in your arms, either, T-Bone. I will let Feral know, as well as Razor and Caliber. When they get back from their vacation, that is."

"Vacation!? Where the heck are they?" T-Bone asked.

"Callista sent them to Hawaii for a few days. They should be back tomorrow," Empress replied.

T-Bone smacked his forehead and said, "I am in a tunnel under a wharf, and they get to play in Hawaii! Lucky cats."

Callie heard what T-bone said and replied, "Callista thought that it would be better that I stayed with her to start my training. I did not know that she sent them to Hawaii, either, until I woke up. I am sure that she will have something special in store for us when you get back."

"I am sure she will. I have to go before I get caught. See you soon, and once I get you in my arms, I am not letting you go," T-Bone said, then he turned off the radio. His heart was pounding in his chest just from hearing Empress' voice. He needed to get back into character fast. Whatever Turmoil did had worked, but he did not know for how long.

Dark Kat heard the alarm and shouted, "Now what?! Creeplings, go find out why the alarm is sounding, fix the problem, and shut the alarm off now!"

The creeplings scattered throughout the lair and found smoke coming from Turmoil's quarters. They grabbed a fire hose that had been installed when the tunnels were built years ago, turned the water on, and charged into the burning room. Turmoil stepped out into the tunnel in order to get out of the way when the creeplings entered with the hose and started to put out the fire.

The fire was extinguished within ten minutes. Dark Kat arrived at Turmoil's quarters a few minutes later to investigate the cause of the fire. He pulled her aside and asked sternly, "What happened in there?"

"I had the panel open so it could dry out from the flooding we had. Then suddenly, I smelled something burning, and sparks shot out and hit the bedding I guess something in there was still wet or damaged from the water," Turmoil said, trying to sound sincere.

"Don't lie to me, Turmoil. I had the creeplings check out every inch of the electrical system after the flooding, and where is T-Bone?" Dark Kat said.

"T-Bone went to use the restroom, and then check on the TurboKat in order to save time," Turmoil replied.

"When I confined you two to your quarters, I meant that the TurboKat was off limits too! What made him think that he could go and check on the jet?" Dark Kat asked.

"T-Bone was only thinking of your plan, Dark Kat. According to him, it takes about two hours to check the entire jet out to make sure that it is flight worthy. If he did that check now, he would not have to do it once you ordered us to attack the treasury," Turmoil replied.

Dark Kat had done some research on jet maintenance and knew that a pre-flight check was a lengthy process, but T-Bone still had disobeyed his orders. He was not going to let it go unpunished.

T-Bone arrived back at his and Turmoil's room to see a very angry Dark Kat.

Dark Kat heard T-Bone's arrival, turned to him, grabbed him by the throat, and picked him up. Dark Kat angrily said, "You should have not gone to the TurboKat without my permission, T-Bone! As of now, you two are not to leave this room without an escort for any reason, period!" Then he threw T-Bone against the tunnel wall to prove his displeasure and left.

Turmoil ran to T-Bone's side and crouched down to make sure that he was not injured by Dark Kat's hurling him against the wall. Luckily, he wasn't. Just his pride was hurt that he allowed Dark Kat to actually throw him. Then he got up and along with Turmoil, they walked to their room and removed the charred and wet bedding from the mattress. As they both started to clean up from the fire and water damage, T-Bone turned to Turmoil and said, "That was one hell of a distraction, but could you have thought of something that did not involve where we sleep? This mattress is completely soaked. It is going to take weeks for it to dry."

Turmoil chuckled, then said, "I have a bedroll in the closet. It will be a lot more intimate than the bed, but we will be warm."

T-Bone was now feeling guilty since he was now going to have to sleep with Katerina in the same bedroll. This is was a situation that he had wanted to avoid at all costs.

Turmoil saw the apprehension in T-Bone eyes when she said that they would have to share the same bedroll. She figured that she would have a little fun at his expense. Turmoil sauntered over to him once the bedroll was placed on the floor where the bed once stood, wrapped her arms around his neck, and then nibbled on his ear, while her paws slipped into his jacket to caress his well-defined chest.

T-Bone stiffened at her seductive actions. He thought that he had been completely clear with her that he would not betray Empress/Callie. Yet, he was frozen in fear while he let Turmoil have her way with him.

Turmoil continued her sensual assault on T-Bone, just to see how far she could go. Turmoil knew that she would not cross the line with him. She valued his friendship more than anything, but there was no rule saying that she could not play with him as a friend, right? Turmoil stopped nibbling on his ear long enough to say, "Now more than ever, we need to keep our charade up. If that means we have to cuddle up together and sleep arrangements as lovers would, then that is what we have to do. Dark Kat is at a point that he is going to act first and not ask questions later. We are in real danger of losing everything, including our lives, if we are not real careful. I will never let you cheat on Empress, with me or any other she-cat. You love her too much, and I care for you too much to let that happen."

T-Bone understood exactly what Turmoil was saying to him. If they did not act as lovers would, Dark Kat would most likely kill them both. He turned to face her and placed his paws on her hips. Then he pulled her to him. Once she was close enough to hear him, he whispered in her ear, "I understand, Katerina. How far do you think we have to go with this act? I'll sleep with you as long as it stays completely platonic, and I keep my pants on. Will that be enough?" Then he kissed her and caressed her body to keep their act going, in case anyone was watching through the door, since they now had guards just on the other side.

Katerina moaned at T-Bone's caresses. No one had touched her in such a way for a very long time, and it made her feel alive. She started undoing the buttons on his jacket, and then his shirt, in order to get him naked from the waist up. Then she removed those garments from his body. She took her paws and placed them on his muscular chest, feeling his well-developed muscles through his fur. Katerina backed out of the kiss and answered, "I don't think so, since they probably expect us to have made love to each other by now, so they would question why you were wearing pants to bed. You should remove your pants, but keep your underwear on. Besides, it will be more comfortable sleeping that way anyhow." To accentuate her point, she let her paws stray lower down his body and undid his belt. Then she found the clasps that held his pants closed and un-did them, all the while sucking on the pulse in his neck.

T-Bone just wanted to run and get away from her, but where was he going to go? He had to trust her. If he didn't, he would probably be killed or worse, Katerina would be killed in front in him. That he could not stand to have happen. He would rather die himself, rather than letting a friend be killed. He said to her, "Ok, Katerina, I trust you." He then resumed the kiss as he ripped her shirt off of her.

Katerina had not been expecting T-Bone to be so aggressive with her. Maybe with Empress, but definitely not with her. She purred into his kiss, and then removed his pants. Then she backed away from him and got into the bedroll. She smiled at him, her eyes silently inviting him to join her.

T-Bone complied and got into the bedroll with her. Since they were pressed up against each other, there was little to hide. He whispered into her ear, "I hope you like what you are feeling, because this will be the last time that I am letting you get this intimate with me." He kissed her shoulder as he wrapped his arms around her mid-section just to get comfortable.

Katerina felt him press against her and smiled one last time before falling asleep in his embrace.
