A brief reminder:

Felina moaned as she felt Jake's passionate touches. Then she said, "Jake, if you don't make love to me right now, I swear I am going to neuter you."

That was all Jake needed to hear. He backed her up so they were hidden behind the falls, placed her down on the shore, and wrapped her legs around him, before burying his face in her neck, and sucking on her rapidly increasing pulse as he brought her to ecstasy for the rest of the afternoon.

Felina woke up first to find herself and Jake laying on a small beach by a secluded section of the falls. Her head was laying on top of his chest, the sound of his soft, relaxed breathing whispering in her ears. Then she looked up at the sky, trying to figure out what time it was by the sun's position. Felina figured that it must be close to six, if not later. She then kissed Jake in attempt to wake him. It didn't work. She realized that she would need to be more aggressive in her tactics in order to awaken her sleeping husband-to-be. She breathed in his ear while playing with the fur on his chest. Then she said, "My water broke; the kitten is coming."

Jake woke with a start when he heard Felina's words. Then he realized where he was. Jake took a few breaths to calm down before saying to her, "Please don't do that again, unless it is really happening, Felina. I was dreaming that our family was at the beach behind Chance and Callie's house, and we were playing in the sand with our kitten. We were having such a good time together." Then he looked into her eyes, took her paws in his, and said, "Felina, I want to marry you today. If this mess with Dark Kat goes wrong, and I die in battle, I at least want to say to the gods above that I died happily married to the most gorgeous she-cat in the world, and I will be able to rest peacefully knowing that you and our kitten will be taken care of for the rest of your lives."

Felina withdrew her paws from his and got up. Then she leaned down and grabbed him by the arms, hauling him upright. Once Jake's face was only inches away from hers she said, "If you think that you are going to leave me alone with a kitten on the way, you have another thing coming, Jake! You are not going anywhere! Dark Kat will be brought to justice, and you are going to be a great father to our kitten, as well as a loving husband to me, do you hear me Jake?!" Then Felina started to cry.

Jake slipped his arms out of her grasp and placed them around her, pulling Felina close in order to console her. Then he said to her ever so softly, "I'm sorry, Felina, and I am not planning on going anywhere for a long time. I just want to make sure that you are taken care of. I am looking forward to spending my days with you and our kitten or kittens, watching them grow up, and eventually having lives and families of their own. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Felina." Jake took a few breaths and held her tighter before continuing, "I have a life insurance policy that names you as the beneficiary. That policy will not be legally binding unless you are my wife. I was just thinking of you and our unborn kitten, Felina."

Felina stopped crying and pulled back just enough to look Jake in the face. After a few calming breaths, she said, "Do you really want to get married today? Callie and Chance are going to be upset that they won't see us getting married, not to mention my family. They are all going to have kittens when they find out that I eloped with you."

Jake had only been thinking of Felina and their unborn kitten. He was not trying to be selfish. He just wanted to make sure that Felina was well taken care of. He sighed, and then said, "I want to marry you as soon as possible, Felina. If having Chance, Callie, and our families present at the wedding is so important to you, then that is what we will do. I just love you so much, Felina, that I don't want you to have to worry about anything financial ever."

"I love you too, Jake, and I would rather have you around than all the money in the world, and so would our kitten. I would rather not have to explain to it why its father is not around when it gets older," Felina replied.

Jake buried his face in her shoulder. Then he said, "I promise I won't bring it up ever again. Now let's get changed and off to that dinner that you made reservations for."

Felina was happy now that Jake saw things her way. She left out of his embrace and walked over to her bag to get dressed and ready for dinner. Although, the way she was walking suggested to Jake that she had something other than dinner on her mind. The way Felina's hips and tail swayed made him want to capture her and take her and take her to paradise one more time. Granting, if he did that, they would definitely miss their dinner reservation.

Felina looked over her shoulder at Jake and saw the look on his face. She smiled, enjoying the effect she was having on him. She continued getting dressed as sensually as she could, just to keep Jake interested.

Jake was mesmerized by what he was seeing. He had never seen such a voluptuous act in all his life. He was entranced by the way she moved. Even though she was getting dressed instead of undressed, it did not matter to him. Felina arced and bent her body better than any professional dancer.

Felina finally finished her Performance. She then looked back at her fiancé and saw him with a ribbon of drool hanging from the side of his mouth. She chuckled, then walked over to him and gave him a playful nibble on the neck.

Jake snapped out of the trance that he was in, then he looked at his fiancée and her dress. He then said, "Felina, wearing that dress should be illegal. It is way too short. However, you look gorgeous in it."

"Thank you, honey, but do you really think that this dress is too short for the restaurant?" Felina asked while placing her paws on her hips and jutting one hip out to the side.

Jake sat there and thought about it. Then he said, "I don't see a problem with it. As much as I would like to spend the rest of the day staring at you in that dress, I need to get dressed myself." Jake went over, retrieved his bag, and started to get dressed. He tried to imitate some of Felina's moves to try to get a rise out of her, but they did not have the same effect on her as Felina had on him. Jake actually fell over as he tried to bend enough to show her his tail while putting on his pants.

Felina laughed as Jake got tangled up in his pants and fell forward into the sand.

Deciding that trying to rile Felina up by trying to duplicate her moves was not a good idea, Jake stayed where he was and pulled on his pants, socks, and shoes. Then he stood back up and put on his shirt and belt.

Now it was Felina's turn to appreciate the way that Jake was dressed. He stood there in a well-tailored pair of dark dress pants, a white silk button-down shirt, and leather shoes with a slight heel. Jake looked very handsome, and she liked it. Felina let out a soft purr and started swishing her tail back and forth.

Jake saw the way that Felina was staring at him and asked, "Do I look that good, Felina?"

"Yes, you do, my love. If we were not going out to dinner, I would be tearing that off of you and having my way with you for the rest of the night," Felina answered, then she licked her lips as she walked over to him with her tail still swishing.

Jake just stood there, admiring his fiancée as she walked towards him. Once Felina was close enough to place her arms around him, she did. Then she pulled him into a kiss before saying, "We need to get going if we are going to make our reservations for dinner, sure-shot."

"Ok, Felina, let's go," Jake said as they both turned to take one last look at the paradise that they had found. Then they pulled each other close. After a minute, they turned and left, walking back down the path to the parking lot with their paws intertwined.

They arrived at the restaurant twenty minutes later. As they dismounted the motorcycle, they looked at the path that led to the restaurant. It was lined with lit Tiki-torches and palm trees. As they walked down the path, the sound of drums started to flood their ears. When they reached the host stand to announce their arrival, a pair of fountains on either side of the path created a calming waterfall sound. The hostess arrived a few minutes later and greeted them. She said, "Welcome to the Grand Polynesian. Can I have your name please?"

Felina answered, "The reservation is under the name Clawson."

"Ah yes, here it is. Will you please follow me?" the hostess replied as she grabbed two menus plus a cocktail menu. Then she led them through the restaurant to a more private section that had views of the ocean on one side, and the dense forest on the other. They were seated at one of the tables that faced the ocean. The table was draped with a deep red linen tablecloth, and the matching napkins were wound neatly around the silverware. The plates were pearl white china with a gold and blue pattern around the edges. There was a crystal champagne flute, as well as a crystal water glass placed at each setting. The whole restaurant was lined with classy decorations. They both were impressed. Jake pulled out Felina's seat, and after she sat down, he pushed her in. Then he took his seat.

A waiter dressed in a full tuxedo came to the table and asked, "Good evening, would you care for a drink from the bar?"

Jake turned to Felina and asked, "What would you like, my dear?"

Felina really wanted another Mai Tai, but in light of her possible pregnancy, she figured that it would be best to shy away from the alcohol. She took a quick look at the drink menu and replied, "I'll have a virgin Pina Colada please."

Knowing that he was going to be responsible for driving the motorcycle back to the hotel that night, he replied, he replied to the waiter, "I'll have the same, please."

"Very well, your beverage order will be out shortly. Please take your time perusing the dinner menu. I personally recommend the 'Fire Scallops' with a side of Poi. It is a little on the spicy side for most cats, but the flavors are exquisite," the waiter said. Then he turned and left.

Felina turned to Jake, and then said while taking his paw in hers, "It's hard to believe that we have to go back to the city tomorrow and deal with that maniac, Dark Kat. I could live here very happily with my family by my side." Then she turned her head and stared out at the ocean, watching the setting sun.

"Felina, I am having such a good time with you that I don't want to leave here, either, but we have to. We can't leave Chance and Callie to deal with that menace alone. Besides, we can come back anytime you want. I have more than enough money saved up. We could even buy a vacation home here or on another island of your choice. It's up to you, my love." Jake said.

"I guess we could come back once the kitten has been born and is big enough to fly. Wait a minute, how do you have so much money that you can just buy a second house? Especially here?" Felina asked as she turned to face him.

Jake had not wanted to spoil the surprise that he was the owner of Claw-Tek just yet, but Felina had him backed into a corner. Jake sighed, then he answered, "I own a company that provides the military with their weaponry and most of their intelligence equipment. Ever hear of Claw-Tek Inc? It stands for Clawson Technologies."

Felina could not believe what she was hearing. Jake was the owner of Claw-Tek? That would make him one of the richest toms in the hemisphere! Then she asked, "So when were you going to tell me this bit of news, Jake?"

"I was going to tell you when we got back, Felina. I like living my life as a mechanic and not sitting behind a desk. I love working with my paws and helping others. That is why I joined the Enforcers instead of going to work for my father. I had the mind to develop what the clients wanted, but I did not have the drive to just sit there and design stuff all day. My father and I have had several arguments over that, and it always ended up with me getting up and leaving. When my father had a stroke and passed five years ago, he left me the company. I hired the best talent that I could find to run the company while I worked with Chance at the garage and kept on being Razor. All the while keeping an eye on what goes on at the company." Jake took a sip of water before continuing, "There is a 'Gold Digger' clause in the contract I have with the company to prevent me from marrying a she-cat who is only interested in me for the money. It states that I can live the life that I want, but when it comes to marriage, the she-cat that I want to marry must love me for who I am, and not for my bank account. That is why I could not tell you about that part of my life until we were engaged, Felina. It's not because I don't trust you. I trust you with my life. The clause was put in there to protect the interests of the company. I am sorry if I hurt you, because that is the last thing that I ever want to do."

Felina was not hurt at all by Jake's confession, but she was slightly ticked that he had to that he had to hide something so important from her. She squeezed his paw tighter and asked, "Is there anything else that you are not telling me?"

"Nope, nothing else to hide, Felina. From now on, what you see is what you get," Jake answered.

"Good, cause if you ever hide anything like that from me ever again, you will not be my husband anymore because you will be dead! Do you understand, love?" Felina angrily said.

"I understand completely, Felina. There will be no more secrets between us," Jake replied.

Their drink order arrived not a moment too soon. Jake took that opportunity to break the tension between him and Felina by saying to the waiter, "Thank you, can you please bring us a Pu Pu platter for an appetizer?"

"Of course, I'll have that right out for you," the waiter said, then he turned and left to get their order in to the kitchen.

Felina took a sip of her colada, and then said to Jake, "I'm sorry, love. I just don't want anything to come between us, ever."

"Nor do I, Felina. If I had not been bound by that stupid contract, I would have told you about this when we started dating. I love you too much to ever want to hide something that important from you and our little one. Speaking of which, we have been spending so much time being intimate on this vacation that it's highly likely you are going to be pregnant with my kitten, if you aren't already. I have not used any protection, and I don't think you have, either. Not that I mind becoming a father as long as you are the mother," Jake said, then smiled at her.

"You are right, Jake. I have not been using anything lately, so I am most likely pregnant with OUR kitten. Remember, it takes two to tango, and I don't mind being a mother as long as you are the father, Jake.

Jake and Felina took each other's paws in their own and just stared into each other's eyes. Then the waiter arrived with their Pu Pu platter with the center shaped like an active volcano. He placed it in the center of the table and asked, "Has the lovely couple decided what they would like for dinner?"

Neither Felina nor Jake even thought about dinner. They had been too busy discussing their kitten and that asinine clause in the Claw-Tek contract.

Jake asked Felina, "Care to be adventurous?"

"Sure," Felina answered.

"Alright then, we will both have the Fire Scallops and the side of Poi that you suggested, please," Jake replied to the waiter.

The waiter smiled and said, "Very good, sir. May I also suggest that the house vegetable tonight is imported Kimchee. It's not normally served with the scallops, but the spiciness goes well with the entrée."

"Alright then, we will have the Kimchee also. Please," Jake said.

"I promise, you both will not be disappointed," the waiter said, then he left.

Felina stared at the Pu Pu platter, trying to decide what to try first.

Jake did not have the same problem. He dug right into the crab rangoon, and also took an egg roll to start. He then held up a forkful of the crab to Felina so she could taste it first. She ate the forkful that Jake gave her and let out a 'Mmm.' She then followed suit and took some of the crab rangoon, as well as some of the fried fish.

Once they finished their appetizer, the waiter came back with the dinner course and another round of drinks for the couple. He then cleared the appetizer plates from the table and left.

Both Jake and Felina looked at the amount of food that was on the table. One entrée alone could have fed them both, and there would still be food left over for them to take back to the hotel. They both dug into their meals.

Since Jake was used to spicy foods, he did not have a problem with the heat, unlike Felina. The Kimchee was way out of her league in terms of spiciness, but then she went to try the scallops. The waiter had been right. There was just the right amount of heat, and all the spices came through, each one hitting their own individual note. The Poi took some getting used to, but once she got past the strange texture, she liked it. It was an excellent contrast to the scallops.

Jake watched Felina's reaction as he finished his mouthful, and asked, "What do you think of the food?"

She waited until her mouth was empty before responding, "I need for you to learn how to make this, Jake. The flavors and spices are exquisite."

"I can ask for the recipe before leave, Felina, but I don't think that they are going to give it up. Although, I can try to replicate it when we get back home." Jake looked into Felina's eyes. Then he said, "I have an idea. Why don't we have an engagement party after we get back and Dark Kat is safely behind bars?"

"That sounds like a great idea, Jake. I'll call Callie once we get back home and make the arrangements. We could have it at the house," Felina replied.

Before they knew it, both dinner plates were empty.

Felina looked down at her empty plate and said, "I guess I was hungrier than I thought."

"Well, you are eating for two now, honey," Jake replied.

"I guess. I wonder how Chance and Callie are going to react when we tell them that they are going to be an uncle and aunt to our kitten?" Felina asked.

"I am sure that they are going to be happy for us, Felina. I know I would be happy for them if they told us the same thing," Jake said.

The waiter came back to the table and asked, "Was everything to your liking, Sir, Madam?"

Jake replied, "Everything was excellent. Thank you for the suggestion."

"My pleasure. Did I hear correctly that you are expecting a kitten in the near future?" the waiter asked.

"Yes, I am pretty sure that I am pregnant with our first kitten," Felina replied.

"Splendid! I will be right back," the waiter said as he cleared the table. Then he ran off to the kitchen.

Jake watched as the waiter ran back to the kitchen. Jake thought it strange that the waiter hadn't asked them if they wanted dessert or an after dinner cordial. He had been very attentive to every one of their needs from the moment they sat down. What could cause such a sudden change?

The lights around the table dimmed and the sound of drums being played thundered throughout the restaurant. The entire wait staff and some of the crew from the kitchen slowly walked to Jake and Felina's table, their waiter pushing a cart with what looked like a bunch of bananas, a bottle of some sort, and two stainless steel bowls on it.

When the ensemble arrived at the table, all with smiles on their faces, the waiter spoke, "We have a tradition here. When we hear about a couple expecting their first kitten, we present them with a special dessert that, according to legend, protects the kitten and mother throughout the pregnancy and birth."

The head chef set the two bowls up and wiped them clean with what looked like alcohol. Then he sliced up two bananas and divided them between the two bowls. The chef then scooped out four large scoops of vanilla ice cream that must have been frozen solid, since he needed a torch to heat the ice cream scoop up to complete the task. He later used that same torch to light a burner attached to the cart in order to heat a pan of oil.

Jake and Felina watched the chef's movements intensely.

Once the oil was at the right temperature, he quickly rolled all of the ice cream he scooped out in an egg wash, and then in a flour bath. He placed all of the prepared ice cream in a spider, then he quickly fried the ice cream. He removed the fried ice cream and gently plated the scoops on top of the sliced bananas he had prepared earlier. Then he soaked the whole thing in cognac. The entire dessert was set ablaze to burn off the alcohol. It was served to Jake and Felina while the flames still danced around on top of it.

The waiter said after serving them, "Let the flames burn out completely before trying to eat this. We had one couple who accidentally set their whiskers on fire. It was not a pleasant sight or smell. Enjoy." He and the rest of the staff left, and the lights went back to their original state.

The alcohol burned off rather quickly and the flames were soon extinguished. Jake was the first to try the dessert. He took a spoonful and placed it in his mouth. He had not tasted anything so good in a very long time. After swallowing, he said to Felina, "Eat this quick before the ice cream melts. You are going to love it!"

Felina followed suit. She took a spoonful of the dessert and placed it in her mouth. Her taste buds lit up with the flavors that brought the dessert to life. The sweetness of the bananas and ice cream, followed by the slight bitterness of the cognac, along with a hint of cinnamon was nothing like she had ever tasted before. She just smiled as the ice cream melted in her mouth. Then she had a wicked idea flow through her mind. She got up and picked up her plate, then walked over to her fiancée, pulled out his chair just enough for her to sit in his lap, and sat back down. Then she scooped up some of her dessert, placed it in her mouth, and kissed him, the bit of sweetness transferring from her mouth to his.

Jake was not expecting like that from her at all, at least not in a public place. He returned the kiss, sharing the bite of dessert between them.

The waiter came over and said, "As much as you two love each other and want to express that love, we do not allow such behavior here. Please take your own seat, Ma'am."

Felina got off of Jake and walked back to her seat with her tail down and an embarrassed smile on her face.

Jake was even more embarrassed than Felina was. He ate the rest of his dessert in silence.

The waiter chuckled ever so softly. He had not seen a couple so deeply in love with each other in a very long time. He said, "Now, please refrain from such public displays of affection while you are here. By the way, if you two were not already expecting, we could have given you a dessert that guarantees fertility in the female." He winked at them after speaking.

Both Jake and Felina's faces were now a deep shade of red. Jake thought to himself, "This waiter is definitely getting a big tip tonight."

After the waiter left, Felina said to Jake, "I did not expect you to return that kiss, Jake. I thought I would just feed you, not both of us feeding each other while involved in a lip lock."

"Neither did I Felina. It just sort of happened, although I am glad it did. The taste of you on top of the flavors from the dessert was phenomenal," Jake said.

The waiter came back and started to clear the dessert plates. Once finished, he asked, "Will there be anything else that I can get you two?"

"No, I don't think so. Just the bill, please," Jake replied.

"Very well," the waiter said and left.

Jake and Felina looked out over the now dark ocean and watched the moonlight reflect off of the tips of the waves.

Then it occurred to Felina that this tropical paradise might not be a bad place to retire someday. She turned to Jake and asked, "Have you ever thought about what you want to do when you retire?"

Jake turned to look at Felina and replied, "I have never thought about it. I am enjoying my life right now, and if I can spend the rest of it doing what I do now, I will be very happy. Of course, that means having you by my side, now and always."

"Jake, I don't think that I would have it any other way. As long as we are together, I will be very happy," Felina said.

The waiter came with the bill, and Jake gave him his 'Black' card. The waiter bowed and left to process the card.

He came back shortly afterwards and said, "We've tried running it, but instead of processing, the bill zeroed itself out and the machine printed the strangest receipt I've never seen." The waiter handed the slip to Jake."

It read: "I said 'all expenses paid', Jake. Callista."

Jake was stunned. How the heck did Callista know where they went for dinner? He was going to have to ask her when they got back. Jake then said to the waiter as he handed him a fifty dollar bill, "I don't know what is wrong with the card, but if the bill was taken care of, there is nothing I can do. This is yours for the exceptional service tonight. Thank you."

The waiter did not know how to respond. Not only had the card reader malfunctioned, but the customer had just given him a fifty dollar tip. He said the only thing that he could think of, "You are welcome, sir, and here is your card." He handed Jake his card back, then said, "You two are welcome back here anytime. It was a pleasure serving you tonight." He pulled Felina's chair out to let her up, bent over and kissed her paw, and said, "Thank you, Ma'am, for brightening up this restaurant with your beauty." He straightened up and left.

Jake felt a rush of jealousy as the waiter kissed his fiancée's paw, but he let it go He took Felina's paw in his and said, "Our chariot awaits." He led Felina out of the restaurant and to the parking lot. He reached into one of the saddle bags, and pulled out two jackets. He helped her into one of the jackets. Then he placed his own jacket on. They both mounted the motorcycle, took one last look at the restaurant, and took off down the road back to the hotel.

End of Chapter.
