She published a new chapter of Two-Plus-Two yesterday, go and read it! Go on, right after you read this chapter. That is an order.

Thank you MisaRae for everything you have given me, especially your friendship.

Everyone finally settled down long enough to eat breakfast. Callie and Chance sat at the heads of the table, with Felina and Jake sitting next to Chance. Tina decided that her seat was not comfortable enough, so she sat in her fiancée's lap and stole a kiss every once in a while. That made it hard for Katerina to eat on her own, so she relied on Tina to lovingly feed her.

Mark had Lisa in his lap, too, except he had his left arm draped across her lap, holding her firmly in place.

As much as Lisa loved being close to her husband, having him attached at her hip was a little overwhelming. She said, "Mark, dear, I'm not a helpless kitten. I can do things on my own, even with this injured shoulder. Please let me go."

Mark breathed in her scent and said, "Nope, I love you too much to let you go, Mom."

Everyone stopped eating and turned to look at the newly married couple, except Tina since she already knew Lisa's secret. Then Felina asked, "Officer Ericson, what exactly does Officer Samuelson mean by that?"

Lisa put her fork down, wiped her mouth with her napkin, and replied. "If I am right, Officer Samuelson and I have a very good shot at being parents in about nine months."

The she-cats all got out of their seats, went over to Lisa and Mark, and hugged them. Each of the she-cats offered their own personal congratulations to the possible new parents, then returned to their seats.

Sarah was the last to congratulate them, and when she let go, she asked, "Didn't you two just get married? How do you know you are going to have a kitten, Lisa?"

Lisa blushed, since she had no idea how to answer Sarah in a way that was age appropriate, rather than the "Birds and the Bees" talk her own mother had given Lisa as a teenager.

Mark noticed her blushing and chuckled before he turned his head to Sarah and answered, "When a tom and a she-cat love each other like Lisa and I do, we show our love for each other. Sometimes that results in a kitten."

"So, if I showed my love for you, Mark, by kissing you, you would give me a kitten?" Sarah asked.

Mark snickered, then said "Not quite, Sarah. Your mother will have to explain the process to you when you are older."

"Alright Mark," Sarah said. She jumped out of her seat as she said, "I completely forgot about my new toys! Wait until you see them!" She ran off to the living room to get the dolls they had bought at the store earlier.

She returned about a minute later holding two gray plastic bags in her paws. She put the bags on the table, opened one of them, and withdrew the doll that had been made in Empress' likeness. She then said, "Callie, this doll looks like you!"

Callie got out of her seat and went over to Sarah. She peered down at the doll Sarah held in her paw and asked, "Where did you get this, Sarah?"

"At the store Mark and Tina took me to this morning," Sarah replied.

Callie looked closely at the doll Sarah held in her paw, and saw her alternate-self looking right back at her. She turned her head towards Chance and said, "Dear, you had better come here and take a look at this."

Chance hobbled his way over to Callie and asked, "What's wrong, dear?"

"I'm not sure if it's exactly wrong, Chance. However, it seems a toy company has decided to make a series of dolls that resemble the SWAT Kats," Callie said.

Chance reached into the bag and pulled out another doll. This one happened to look like Adonis. He carefully examined the doll, and noticed that it held an almost uncanny resemblance to Adonis, right down to the way Mark grinned when he was in uniform. Chance said, "The company did a really good job making these dolls look like us." He turned his head to Jake and asked, "What do you think, partner?"

Jake came over to him, looked the doll over, then ran the pad of his finger over the doll's clothing, marveling at how close the manufacturer had come to the SWAT Kats' actual crime fighting outfits. "How were they able to create such accurate likenesses? Especially since Adonis and Sniper have only been out on one mission so far."

Katerina was busy using her phone to search for any information she could find on the dolls. She eventually found what she was looking for, and said as she walked over to where the adults were crowding around Sarah and the dolls, "I think I might have found your answer, Jake." She showed him her phone and pressed the play button on the screen.

'MegaKat City now has a group of new heroes and heroines protecting its citizens. The SWAT Kats! Join T-Bone, Razor, and Adonis, as well as their female partners Empress, Caliber, Havoc, and Sniper in their adventures in protecting MegaKat City from the Omegas.' The ad showed the faces of each one of the SWAT Kats as their names were called. 'Each figure sold separately.' As she put her phone away, Katerina asked, "Why do I feel like a second stringer to you toms? 'As well as their female partners'? Who wrote this?"

Tina snaked her right arm around Katerina's waist, then said, "We females are not second stringers to the toms, Katerina. In fact, they are second to us. We have a powerful sorceress," she pointed to Callie, "and a she-cat who doesn't take crap from anyone," as she pointed to Felina.

"You're damn right!" Felina responded.

Tina giggled, then said, "We also have a gorgeous ex-commander." She then kissed Katerina. "A prima ballerina with a brilliant mind." She pointed to Lisa. "And finally, we have our apprentice, who is not only adorable, but according to Razor, once she gets a piece of metal in her little paws, she can work magic on it. We females can take on the Omegas with or without the help of the guys." She turned her head to look at the toms' expressions, and noticed they all had questioning looks on their faces, especially Mark. She smiled, blew a kiss to the guys, then said, "However, we need the guys. Without them, we would not be the tightly knit family we are now. Together, we are the SWAT Kats! Protectors of MegaKat city and whoever needs us! So, if some company wants to make a toy line based on us, let them."

While Tina spoke, Felina had picked up her own phone, and was searching the newsfeeds for anything remotely connected to the toy line. She stopped when she found a live news stream from Kats Eye News. She said, "Someone turn on the TV. Kats Eye News is broadcasting from some toy store in the center of the city."

Chance limped his way over to the TV in the living room and switched it on. He quickly flipped through the channels until he found the station that carried Kats Eye News. The image on the screen showed Anne Gora standing in front of one of the most prestigious toy stores in the city. He turned the volume up on the TV just in time to hear, "To recap, the city is abuzz over the SWAT Kats' action figures. Lines have been forming around the block since early this morning, waiting for the doors to open so kittens of all ages can get their paws on their favorite likenesses of the city's newest heroes."

Everyone crowded around the TV to watch the report. Jake and Chance stole a glance at each other. Then Jake said, "We didn't start SWAT to be heroes. In fact, we wanted to work in the dark where no one would start asking questions as to who we are under the masks. Now the city is treating us like superheroes! We can't go out there and do what is necessary if we have to worry about some fan getting hurt or worse because they wanted to get closer. What are we going to do, Chance?"

They turned their attention back to the TV in time to see Anne stop a small group of college aged she-cats exiting the store. "What do you ladies think of the SWAT Kats?" Anne asked.

"We love them! Especially Adonis, and the way his uniform shows off every muscle of his hot body. If I could only get my paws on him just once, the things I would do to him would make him mine," one of the she-cats said.

Mark blushed under his fur. However, Lisa clearly noticed him blushing and jabbed him in the side with her elbow.

Mark winced, then said, "You have nothing to be jealous of, dear. I'm yours."

"Good. I would hate to find you shacked up with some groupie somewhere because then I would have to kill you. Remember who is the better shot at the range, dear?"

"I remember well, Lisa, and I will never forget how well you handled your gun," Mark replied as he leaned closer to her ear. Then he whispered, "Or how well you handle my gun," before quickly straightening back up and fighting the urge to grin at his innuendo.

Lisa blushed and silently vowed to get even with him later.

Anne was now crouched down to the level of a boy that appeared to be the same age as Sarah. She asked, "Who is your favorite SWAT Kat?"

The boy replied, "That's easy, it's Razor! He is the brains behind the operation. I want to be like him when I grow up."

Felina put her arm around Jake's neck and said, "You have a fan, dear."

"Good! I might not be big and strong like Chance and Mark, or look as good in my uniform as all of you girls do, but it's nice to know that a cat with brains can come out on top every once in a while." Jake said.

Anne suddenly cupped her ear as she tried to listen to what her producer was telling her over the almost invisible ear piece she wore. She then said, "Live from Midtown MegaKat City, this is Anne Gora reporting. Back to you in the studio."

The picture changed to that of the TV studio and two anchors sitting behind the desk. The older tom said, "Who knew that the citizens of this city would be idolizing a bunch of vigilantes?"

"Chris, the SWAT Kats do more to protect this city than you probably know. They are heroes to the citizens of this city, and they deserve every ounce of recognition that comes their way. Since they arrived, crime has decreased by 45%, and the citizens feel safe to wander the streets again. As a matter of fact, as soon as I get out of work, I am buying my daughter one of each of the SWAT females' dolls. She needs a good, strong female role model besides her mother, and those she-cats are going to fit the bill perfectly."

"On that note, we have a special announcement from our producer," Chris said.

The screen faded from the studio to a pre-recorded message from the producer. "SWAT Kats, I owe you a debt of gratitude. A few months ago, my wife and I were out having dinner. Afterwards, we decided to take a stroll along the waterfront. We were advised by the maître d' that the waterfront was not a safe place to be at night, but we ignored him and went on our stroll anyway. After a few minutes, we were attacked by a group of thugs who wanted our money and jewelry. As I tried to comply with their request, I was assaulted and knocked unconscious. According to my wife, the TurboKat happened to be in the area, and Razor swooped down to help. After I awoke, my wife told me exactly what happened. As a token of my appreciation, I would like to have my best reporter conduct an interview with the SWAT Kats on live TV. I think by now you know who is going to be conducting the interview. The citizens of this city deserve to know your side of the story, and why you risk your lives for them on a daily basis. Believe it or not, the SWAT Kats are heroes of this city, and we are grateful for the way you risk your lives for us every day. Thank you."

Chance turned off the TV, turned to the group of stunned cats, and asked, "Well, what are we going to do? Have Anne interview us on live TV, or ignore the whole thing?"

"Why not, Chance?" Callie asked. "The city needs a decent set of role models that the kittens can look up to. And as much as the Enforcers try, they fall short." She turned to Felina, Lisa, and Mark, then said, "Sorry guys. The Enforcers do their best, but you have to admit, you are able to protect the city better as SWAT than when you are limited by the restrictions that come with wearing an Enforcer uniform."

Lisa put her paw on Mark's shoulder, then said, "She is right. As proud as I am to wear the Enforcer uniform, it does come with a lot of restrictions on what we can do to help the citizens of this city. Frankly, I can't wait to try on my SWAT uniform for the first time and go out on patrol. From what you all have told me, it's quite liberating."

"It definitely is, Lisa. However, it's also quite dangerous!" Mark said. "You thought dealing with common street thugs was dangerous? Wait until you have to stand on your own against someone that might have powers similar to Callie's, or may appear small but has my brute strength. The only reason I was able to beat that guy in the alley was because I was focused on you, Lisa. I was so worried when you were shot, adrenaline kicked in and I just acted."

"I guess, dear, but if Felina didn't think I could handle being a member of SWAT, she would have not brought me on board. I will be ready to do what I need to, once this shoulder is completely healed," Lisa said.

"And we all get some training from our newest recruit," Jake mentioned.

Chance snapped his head around to face Jake, then asked, "Another recruit!? Jake, only a few months ago, it was just the two of us. Now we have expanded to eight members. When are you going to stop adding members to our family?"

"Until the city is safe from the Omegas, and anyone else who threatens it, Chance. Believe me, you will like her. Felicia is a tenth degree black belt, and from what she has shown me, a metallurgical wizard. We could definitely utilize both those skills. She can teach us better hand-to-hand combat techniques, as well as working with me and my new apprentice in developing metals that are stronger and lighter than what I am using now," Jake said.

"I guess, but she is going to be on probation until she proves herself," Chance said.

"Why is she going to be on probation?" Tina asked. "According to Jake, she is more than qualified to be a full member of SWAT!"

"Yeah, Chance," Katerina chimed in. "Why does Felicia have to be a probationary member when the rest of us are fully fledged members of SWAT?"

Chance grabbed the fur on the top of his head in frustration, gritted his teeth, and said, "Argh! Alright! She is a full member of SWAT!"

"Good! I would hate to think that she was put on probation because of her gender," Callie said.

"That was not my reason at all, Callie. SWAT has grown to four times its original size within a very short amount of time," Chance said as he looked to the ground for a brief second before he said, "I'm sure Felicia will make a great addition to our group, and we are going to need her, especially as you three get further along. I'm not going to have you ladies running around out there as our kittens become more developed."

"He has a point. I don't want to endanger our kitten, or you, either, Felina." Jake said. "I love you, and I already love our unborn kitten. I'm sorry, Felina, but as you get further along, I'm going to bench you. We all keep talking about protecting the innocent and not worrying about ourselves. However, thinking that way doesn't take our own kittens' lives into consideration. Face it; you have our child growing inside of you, Felina. Do you want to cause it any undue stress?"

"No, I don't, Jake. I want our kitten to be born healthy and strong. As much as I am going to hate sitting on the side lines, I'll do it for the sake of our kitten," Felina said.

Chance took Callie's paw in his, then said, "The same goes for you, dear. I don't want to take the chance of hurting our kittens, either."

"Neither do I, Chance. However, I'm not the type of she-cat to just sit on my duff while the rest of you are out saving MegaKat City," Callie said.

"I wouldn't dream of it, Callie," Chance said. "I'm sure Jake and I will find a way to keep you two active."

Katerina kissed Tina quickly on the cheek before she turned to the group and said, "Speaking of kittens, Tina and I have been talking, and once we have graduated the academy, we want to adopt an older kitten. We both want to enjoy parenthood just like all of you."

Sarah leaped out of her seat and ran over to Tina and Katerina. She then hugged them both and said, "You are going to be great parents! I am going to get a brother or sister to play with!"

Tina ruffled Sarah's hair and said, "Yes, you will, Sarah, and I hope he or she is as adorable as you are."

"Da. I hope that he or she is just like you, Sarah," Katerina said.

"Can I go with you when you adopt your kitten?" Sarah asked.

Tina hugged Sarah, then said, "As much as we would love to have you come with us, Sarah, I'm not sure if it's a good idea. Adoption is very hard for everyone, and I don't want to make the process any harder on the kitten." Tina squeezed Sarah a little more, reassuring her that Tina and Katerina still loved her before backing up her actions with words before she said, "Don't worry, Sarah. Once he or she is settled into our home, you will be the first one to meet him or her, I promise!"

Sarah was slightly disappointed that she could not go with Tina and Katerina when they adopted their kitten. However, she was smart enough to know that Tina was right. Sarah said, "I don't want to make things difficult for the kitten either, Tina. I'll be happy to meet him or her when they're ready."

Tina pulled back ever so slightly from her embrace and looked into Sarah's eyes. She then asked, "Are you sure you are only five years old? You are wise for your age."

Sarah giggled for a minute, then responded, "I am only five, Tina, but my mother says I act older."

"You certainly do, Sarah. Let's finish breakfast so we can get on the road," Tina said.

"Ok," Sarah said, then took a bite of her food before she turned to Felina and said, "This is real good, Felina. You're a great cook!"

"Thank you, Sarah. Although, I owe Katerina a debt of gratitude. Without her, I would still not even be able to boil water."

"That may be true, Felina. However, you just needed a little push to release your culinary talents," Katerina said.

"I doubt it, Katerina. If not for you, my kitten and husband would be eating out of a box every night. My own mother even gave up on me cooking anything when I set fire to the kitchen for the second time. Heck, even ask Jake what my pans looked like! He will tell you that I have ruined more pieces of cookware than he can count," Felina said as she went over to Katerina, put her paw on Katerina's shoulder, then said, "My family owes you for teaching me, and giving me the confidence I needed to actually cook something nutritious, instead of warming something from the freezer."

Katerina turned and slapped both of her paws on Felina's shoulders. She then said, "You owe me nothing, Felina. If anything, I am the one who owes you. If you hadn't stuck your neck out for me at my parole hearing, I would probably be back behind bars right now, and I would have not have been given the opportunity to join the Enforcers or SWAT, nor would I have had the chance to meet the she-cat I love. Tina has taught me I can be loved again, as well as how to love another. Felina, without you and your support, I might not have survived."

Felina wrapped her arms around Katerina, pulled her into her body, then said, "You would not be dead, Katerina. Even if you had gone back to prison, which I would have not allowed to happen, you would have eventually thrived and turned your life around on your own."

"Niet, my dear friend," Katerina said as she shook her head. "After Dark Kat kidnapped me, I realized I had hit rock bottom. As much as I wanted to get back to prison, finish my sentence, and be released, something told me it was never going to happen. That I was destined to never see the outside of prison walls again."

Tina slipped between Katerina and Felina, embraced Katerina with all of her might, and said, "We would have found each other somehow, Katerina. We were meant to be together forever." She then turned her head to the left so she could rest her head against Katerina's chest and let out a deep purr.

Katerina ran her fingers through Tina's hair as she held her fiancée tight. After she kissed Tina between her ears, she said, "Tina, my dove, I am so happy we have found and fallen in love with each other. Now that we have, I can't imagine my life without you being a part of it." She pulled back just enough to look into Tina's beautiful face, then said, "You want me to meet your parents? I want to meet them, too, so I can show them how much I love you and want to start a family with you."

Tina stood on her tiptoes so she could kiss Katerina with every ounce of passion she could, not caring one little bit whether anyone saw. She then said, "They are going to love you, Katerina."

"I certainly hope so, Tina. Since I don't have any of my own family left, I hope that they will let me not only into yours, but will let me call them Mother and Father," Katerina said.

"I'm sure they will, Katerina. Mom always wanted another daughter, and I can't think of a better she-cat to fill that position," Tina said.

Katerina moved her face close to Tina's, and said right before she kissed her, "I can't wait to meet them so I can ask their permission to marry you."

Lisa wrapped her arms around Mark, then said, "Those two make a great couple, just like we do, my husband."

"Our sisters definitely do, Lisa. I only hope that all of their dreams come true. They both have been through so much hardship in their lives already; it's about time for things to go their way. Now come on, dear. Let's help clean up so we can head back," Mark said, then carried Lisa over to where Callie was doing the dishes under Felina's watchful eye.
