Callie appeared in front of Callista's door with Felina and Chance in tow. She wiped a small bead of sweat from her forehead with the back of her left paw, and then said, "I was expecting that to be a lot more difficult than it was. I guess I'm learning." She turned her head to face her friend as well as her fiancé and asked, "Care to head inside and see what Ulysses has up his sleeve?"

"I want to know why suddenly my uncle has a bug up his tail to marry your grandmother," Felina replied.

Callie went to open the door at the top of the stairs that led into Callista's apartment, but found it locked. She aimed her right index finger at the lock, then softly said, "You showed me how to perform this trick once, Callista. I hope I remember exactly how to do this." She concentrated on the lock and what her grandmother had told her about the spell. Then a small spark left her finger and shot into the keyhole. The lock glowed for a second before she heard a 'Click', then the door, slightly warped from age, slowly opened itself.

Callie was beaming with pride that she was able to perform one of her grandmother's spells without too much effort on her part. "Shall we head in and see what the 'Old Folks' are doing?" she asked as she pushed open the door.

Chance, Felina, and Callie entered Callista's apartment, then Callie closed the door behind her. They all walked over to the kitchen and found Callista and Ulysses cleaning up from their supper. However, it was how they were cleaning up that piqued their interest. Callista was at the sink washing the dishes, with Ulysses pressed tightly against her back, drying them as she handed one to him, and every one in a while, he would kiss the junction between her neck and left shoulder.

Felina could not help herself and said, "Careful, Uncle. Keep making moves like that, and she will be giving birth to my new cousin in no time!"

Ulysses backed away from Callista and dropped the plate he had been drying when he heard his niece's voice.

Callista was quicker, though, and she magically caught the plate before it hit the floor and shattered. She turned to Felina and gave her a little payback by asking, "How did you find out already, Felina? I haven't even told Ulysses yet that I am pregnant with his kitten."

Callie's eyes almost jumped out of their sockets and asked, "You are pregnant with my new aunt or uncle!?"

Ulysses' eyes rolled back into his head and he fainted just as soon as Callie finished speaking.

The four of them watched as Ulysses fell to the floor. Then Callista giggled and said, "I was not expecting him to faint like that at all. I guess the thought of me carrying his kitten was too much for him to handle." She lifted her arms above her head and levitated Ulysses over to her couch, where she gently laid him down.

"Are you really pregnant, Callista?" Callie cautiously asked.

Callista finished covering Ulysses with a throw, turned her head to face her granddaughter, and replied, "No, I am not, Callie. Maybe someday I'll have a kitten with him, but not this decade. Besides, I have three great-granddaughters to spoil rotten."

"Why do I have a feeling that my nieces and even my own kitten are going to want for nothing with you as a great aunt and great-grandmother?" Felina asked.

"I certainly hope not," Chance said. "It's going to be hard enough raising girls that can conjure up anything they want or need. Not to mention, they are going to be heartbreakers. They are going to have to learn that just because they can do something, doesn't mean they should."

"I agree with you, dear," Callie said. "I don't need my daughters making stuff appear out of nowhere without realizing the consequences of their actions, or worse, like sneaking out of the house to go to a party after we tell them they can't go." After she finished speaking, she turned her head towards Callista and asked, "Was I that bad as a teenager?"

"You? A bad-girl?" Callista mockingly asked. "Callie, Serena couldn't have had a better behaved daughter. Sure, there were times where you wanted to go out with your friends and your parents made you stay home. Remember that party you were invited to when you were a junior in high school?"

Callie's eyes widened for a second as she remembered the party Callista was talking about. "My friend Judy's parents were out of town for the weekend and she threw this blowout that the entire school was invited to."

"You were lucky you didn't go," Callista said. "I went to that party to watch over you, figuring you might have found a way to slip past your father. As the night progressed, several boys consumed more liquor than they could handle, and started to get pawsy with several girls. A few of the girls went upstairs with the boys, and when they came back hours later, their clothes and make-up were disheveled. I knew what they were doing, and was disgusted by it. There is nothing wrong with making love as long as you are with someone who loves you on a deeper level than just physical. But these kids were just fulfilling an alcohol-driven desire. There was no emotion behind the act at all."

"So, what did you do about it?" Felina asked.

"Nothing," Callista replied. "It was their lives, not mine or Callie's. I had no say in what they did. The Enforcers showed up soon afterwards and broke the party up after one of the teenagers fell into a neighbor's yard and puked their brains out into a fountain."

Ulysses started to waken. He lifted his left paw to his forehead and asked ,"Ugh, what hit me? The last thing I remember was Callie saying something about a new aunt or uncle."

Callista fell to her knees in front of him and kissed his lips. She then asked, "You really don't remember anything?"

"No, not really," Ulysses replied as he sat up and asked, "How did I get on the couch?"

"That would be my doing, my love," Callista replied as she stroked his cheek. She then said, "I had to levitate you here after you passed out."

"And what caused me to do that?" Ulysses asked.

"Callista told Felina in jest that she was pregnant with your kitten. I guess you didn't take that too well," Chance said.

Ulysses grasped Callista's paws in his, then said, "Please don't joke about something so serious, my love. If we made a kitten together, I would be happier than I have ever been in my life, since I was never able father my own kitten."

"I am only 500 years old, Ulysses," Callista said. "There is still plenty of time for us to have a family of our own, and I so adore little kittens. When I was Queen, the best part of my day was going out to the courtyard fountain and reading and playing with the kittens of the court." She stood up, then said, "I was going to save this little bit of news until our whole family was together again, but now is as good a time as any." She looked at her family for a second before she said, "In three weeks, this city will be opening a new Day Care Center in the middle of downtown."

"I was wondering why crime in that part of the city dropped all of a sudden," Ulysses said before he asked, "How did you manage to get the street gangs to go along with this?"

"That was a little more difficult than I thought it would be, dear. What I ended up doing is hiring every single one of them as Security for the center with the stipulation of if there is any drug dealing, non-authorized graffiti, or any other illegal action on or around my property, not only will they be fired, but they will also be held accountable in a court of law," Callista replied before she smirked and continued with, "I also called their mothers, and told them if their sons and daughters acted on the Right side of the Law, they would not only be paid handsomely, but their family's rent would be sliced in half if they lived in one of my buildings. You should see the streets around the center. Now, they are clean, families are not afraid to hang out on the porch stoops, and there are regular patrols, not only around the center, but of the neighborhood, too. It turns out that the residents who live there were all sick and tired of all the blight, and all they needed was one little push in the right direction for them to take action."

"Wait a minute, Grandma," Callie said. "I know that area, and the only building that could possibly house a Day Care Center was condemned by the Building Inspector years ago for numerous Life Safety violations. How did you get all of that work done in such a short time?"

"Once again, it was not as easy as I thought it was going to be, Callie," Callista answered. "I had no problems hiring my normal contractors to do the work, and building materials for the project were already lined up. My only issue was one particular gang that inhabited the building. I tried to reason with the gang leader, but the only thing he was interested in was my tail and chest. So, I left. Outside, I ran into a rival gang which is now in my employ, and currently patrolling the streets. The leader came up to me and asked what I was doing there without an escort. I told him about what had occurred in the building, and he told me they would be evicted from the property by morning, and that I should leave. I did as he asked and went home. When I turned on the news that night, I learned there was a large disturbance outside of the building. Somehow, I had united all of the gangs in the area except for the one living in my building. My new security force escorted the gang out of my building, and formed a perimeter around the it, so the remaining gang could not return, and the contractors were able to work without disruption."

"Once again, you have proved to me and everyone around you that you are still the queen of these lands, Grandmother," Callie said. "Chance mentioned that I should run for the Mayor's office. I think you should run instead."

"That's sweet of you to think so, Callie. However, I can't." Callista said. "I will not risk the family secret being revealed because I decided to run for office. Reporters are very resourceful nowadays, and I don't want someone like Anne Gora snooping around and accidentally finding out that I am over five centuries old."

"You make a good point, Callista. Although, you would make an excellent Mayor," Felina said.

"Thank you, Felina," Callista said. "Now, we have some planning to do. Don't we, ladies?"

Callie's eyes sparkled in excitement since this was the first wedding she actually ever planned in her life. She said, "Yes, we do. Since you already have the dress, that's one less thing we have to worry about. The first thing we have to do is find a location for you to have the ceremony. Since we don't have a lot of time, I can probably get the Council Chambers for the ceremony, and find a nice restaurant for the reception."

"Sister, dear," Felina said as she shook her head in disagreement, "this wedding should be over the top! How often does an actual queen get married? Not often, and I know you have seen a few Royal weddings on TV. Heck, you made me watch them with you. That is the type of ceremony worthy of a queen, and not some stuffy Council Chamber!"

"How am I going to arrange something that elaborate in six days, Felina!?" Callie asked. "A wedding on that scale takes months, not days, to prepare, and I don't even know of anyplace to hold a ceremony like that!"

"Have it at the house," Felina said.

"Excuse me?" Callie asked.

"Have the wedding at your house, Callie," Felina answered. "Between the beach and the large yard, it will be a perfect place for them to get married."

Chance went over to Callie, put his right arm around her, and added, "She is right, dear. If the house is good enough for us and your mother to be married in, it should be more than adequate for your grandmother and Ulysses to use."

Callie cuddled into him as she said, "I hope our daughters are as smart as you, and you are right. The house will be perfect. We can have the ceremony on the beach with the cliffs in the background and the sound of the waves crashing against the shoreline. Their wedding will go down in history as one of the most romantic weddings ever held!"

Callista and Ulysses stole a look at each other before they turned back to Callie, who was literally glowing with excitement as she told Felina her ideas to make the ceremony even grander than it already was.

Ulysses leaned over to Callista and asked, "Are you sure letting her plan our wedding is a good idea?"

Callista kissed his right cheek, then answered, "Let her do what she wants, my love. We are only going to do this once, so why not go all out? If Callie has her way, we are going to have a Fairy Tale wedding that will make the weddings I held in the castle seem mundane by comparison."

Jake parked Felina's new toy in front of Callista's shop and got out. He made sure that her toy was locked before he went to the trunk and pulled out a large cover to hide it from the wandering eyes of the public. He went to the front door, pushed the button to the right side of the doorjamb and waited to be let into the building.

Chance was leaning against a post by the kitchen, watching his future wife and Felina scribbling ideas on a pad of paper when he heard a buzzer sound. He went over to the door that led to the stairwell to outside, and found the button to open the front door. He pressed it and the door opened.

Jake entered the building, looked up, and saw Chance at the top of the stairs. "How are the wedding plans coming?" Jake asked.

Chance rolled his eyes and replied, "Come on up and find out."

Jake made it up the stairs and hugged his best friend before he entered the apartment and noticed the two she-cats, hard at work, writing all sorts of things down on a notepad. He wandered over to where they were working and read one of the notes. He then asked, "Where are you going to get a horse-drawn carriage from, and how do you plan on getting it to the beach?"

Felina looked up at Jake and answered, "I'm just along for the ride on this one, Jake. You are going to have to ask the head wedding planner."

Callie was so busy that she didn't even hear Felina and Jake's conversation. She pulled out another pencil after wearing the first one down to a nub, and started working on a sketch for the altar.

"Since my sister is in her own little Callie world, how did you get here?" Felina asked Jake.

"I was saving that for when we all head out after we are done planning for the wedding," Jake said, right before he was hit with a wadded-up piece of paper. He looked down at Callie, who just smiled, blew him a kiss, and went back to her drawing.

"Remind me not to let her plan our wedding, Felina," Jake said after he rolled his eyes.

Felina then stood up, went over to her uncle and future aunt, and asked, "Why do you two want to get married this coming weekend?"

Ulysses pulled Callista tighter to his side and answered, "I haven't been sleeping well thanks this whole 'David' situation. The main reason is, I'm afraid of losing her to David once she enters his lair."

"Uncle, you are never afraid of anything," Felina said. "You are one of the bravest toms in the city. You have never shied away from charging into a dangerous situation and handling it on your own." She put her right paw on his left shoulder, then said, "Callista loves you, and you love her. What makes you think that you are going to lose her to David?"

Ulysses took a deep breath, then answered, "We do love each other, Felina. I love her more than I loved Adara, but with all of this magic running around, I have an inkling that he is going to try to put her under a spell or something that will make her fall in love with him. If that occurs, Felina, I don't know what I would do. I don't want to live without her as my wife any longer. I have lost fifty years with her already, and I don't want to waste any more time."

Felina hugged her uncle and said, "Aren't you a big softy!" She hugged him tighter and said, "She is lucky to have you in her life."

Ulysses hugged his niece back, and said as he stroked her hair, "No, Felina. I'm lucky to have her in my life."

Chance went over to where Callie was sitting to check on her. He crouched down, put his right arm around her shoulders, and asked, "How are the plans going?"

Callie was chewing her pencil as she concentrated on her drawing of the altar. She removed the pencil, tapped it against her left temple, and said, "There is something missing, and I can't put my finger on it."

"Let me take a look," Chance said. He examined the drawing Callie had created, and saw his family standing around the altar with Callista and Ulysses in the center. Then the answer came to him, and he asked, "Where are Persival and Isis?"

The pencil left her paw and dropped to the floor as she realized Chance was right. She pushed him out of the way and drew in Persival sitting on his hindquarters to Callista's left, and Isis in the same pose to Ulysses' right. "Now it's perfect!" Callie exclaimed. She turned her head to Callista and asked, "Care to take a look?"

Callista came over to her granddaughter, crouched down, and looked at the drawing. She smiled in approval, then said, "You are right, Callie. It's perfect! This is just what I wanted, to be surrounded by my family. Do you think you can pull off such an elaborate wedding in six days?"

Callie's eyes narrowed and she said, "Watch me. I may have to stay up late, and enlist the help of my friends, but you will have the wedding you deserve."

Callista twisted her right paw in the air and her credit card appeared in her paw. As she handed it to Callie, she said, "This will give you the purchasing power you need to pull off your plans."

Callie took the card from Callista, and noticed that the card was issued by a bank that only dealt with the Elite. She flipped the card between her fingers and asked, "Are you sure? This wedding could get rather expensive."

"Positive, Callie," Callista replied. "That card has no limit, and neither does your imagination. Go for it, and plan a wedding fit for me."

Callie didn't need to be told twice. She grabbed her pencil again and started making lists of things that had to be done, as well as a few lists of things for her family to do in order to take some of the load off of her.

As Callie worked diligently, Felina walked over to Jake, pulled him into a sideways hug, and asked, "How did you get here, anyway?"

"I was saving this for later, but now is as good a time as any. Come with me, dear," Jake said as he started towards the apartment's door. He stopped and waited for his fiancée to catch up with him before he opened the door, let her pass, and exited the apartment before closing the door behind him.

As they reached the bottom of the stairs, Jake covered Felina's eyes, opened the entrance to the building, and led her outside. Once they were in front of the building, he said, "Keep your eyes closed until I say you can open them."

Felina asked as she closed her eyes, "What does my wonderful fiancé have up his sleeve for me now?"

Jake was already uncovering her toy when he heard her question. He smirked before he replied, "Have you ever heard the saying, 'Curiosity killed the cat?' Just be patient, and you will find out."

Patience was one of the things Felina was not proficient at. She was a she-cat who wanted everything to happen fast, and keeping her waiting was something that grated on her nerves. "Are you ready yet?" she asked as her left foot tapped on the concrete sidewalk.

Jake had just finished uncovering her toy as he shook his head when he heard her question. He put the cover back in the trunk and closed it before he turned to her and said, "You can open your eyes now, Miss Feral."

Felina opened her eyes, and she noticed a brand new Dodge Charger SRT8 painted in her favorite shade of blue just behind Jake. With a shaky breath, she asked, "Is that mine?"

"Of course it's yours, Felina," Jake replied. "Do you really think that you would be satisfied with a minivan to drive our kitten around in? I highly doubt it. I know it has four doors, but the engine, suspension, and all of the things that will make toms drool over this car will make up for it. Care to take her for a ride?"

Felina slinked her way over to the car, ran the pads of her fingers over the paint as she admired the machine in front of her, then slipped in behind the steering wheel. The custom seats molded to her body and held it firmly. She ran her paws over the black leather-covered wheel and said, "Give me the keys now!"

Jake reached into his pocket and withdrew a black key fob. He sank into the passenger's seat and buckled himself in, nice and tight, before handing the fob over to Felina. "Take it easy, dear. This baby has over seven hundred horses under the hood, and I don't want the.."

Jake was interrupted by Felina starting the car, slamming the car into gear, and leaving two large strips of rubber in her wake as her right foot mashed the accelerator to the floor, forcing Jake back against the seat.
