The SWAT Kats are owned by Hanna Barbera and the Tremblay Brothers. I own the OCs.

Sorry for the delay. Things around the household have been a little crazy. Not even my Co-Author could have dragged me out of the hole I was in. She tried, believe me she tried.

Anyhow, I'm sure you have been craving a little action to break up all of this romance and stuff, well here it is!

Tina, Katerina, Rolf, and Marissa were caught by Felina doing things the non-Enforcer way, yet again and were being made examples of to the rest of the recruits by having them run through the city wearing these ugly yellow vests with the lettering written on the back stating 'Non-Conformist'.

"This really stinks!" Rolf said as he ran down the street next to his sister. He took a few deep breaths before he asked, "Why do we listen to you Tina? You already have the Instructors watching your every move and now, you dragged me and my sister into your little club."

"Come on Rolf, don't tell me that you didn't enjoy putting that trainer patrol car through its paces?" Tina asked. "The look on the Lieutenant's face was priceless when you drove the car backwards as fast as it could go through the course."

"I did Tina but doing so is not standard operating procedure and now; we are out here in the hot sun running through the city," Rolf said.

They all ran for another few minutes before Marissa wiped her brow with the back of her right paw and said, "I could use a drink. Does anyone else want one?"

The rest of the group uniformly responded, "Yes."

"Thought so," Marissa said. "There is a Bodega not that far from here. We can stop there and get something cold. I'll even buy."

They turned a corner and started running towards the Bodega when they heard a gunshot originating from the same direction they were heading in. They all looked at each other, nodded in silent agreement, and picked up their pace.

As they neared the Bodega, they noticed several customers running out of the store that appeared un-injured.

Katerina grabbed a she-cat that had just run out of the store and asked, "Is there anyone else in there?"

"One younger tom with a handgun and the shop's owners, I think," she responded before she continued to run for cover.

Katerina returned to her friends who were positioned behind a wall just to the left of the Bodega and asked, "One perpetrator and two civilians inside. What is our plan?"

"Kat, take Rolf and head to the front of the store. Keep your heads down and wait for me and Marissa to rush the store from the rear entrance. We will corner the perp in the center of the store and hold him there until the authorities arrive," Tina answered.

Katerina reached out and grabbed Tina before she pulled her into a kiss. She then said, "Be careful and don't do anything reckless."

"Since when have I done anything reckless?" Tina asked.

"Ever since I have known you Tina, just be careful," Katerina said before she grabbed Rolf's paw and led him towards the front of the store.

Tina watched Katerina and Rolf turn the corner and slip out of sight. She then turned her head to Marissa and asked, "You ready?"

"I as ready as I will ever be," Marissa responded.

Tina quickly caught on that Marissa was nervous about charging into the back of the store and possibly confronting someone holding a loaded gun. She put both of her paws on Marissa's shoulders and said,
"It's alright to be nervous Marissa. If you weren't I would think you are nuts. I'm not going to leave your side and your brother and Katerina will be coming in right through the front door as soon as we enter. Those two citizens need us to protect them from the bad guy that is what we signed up for, right?"

"I guess you are right Tina," Marissa answered. She took a few deep breaths to gather up some courage in her body and slapped her paws onto Tina's shoulders. She then said, "Let's do this!"

"Alright, here we go," Tina said.

The made their way to the rear of the shop and looked through the screened door. They noticed a lone tom standing in one of the aisles with a hand gun trained on someone or several cats just out of their sights.

"It's too risky to go in this way. He will see us as soon as he hears the door open. We need to come up with a different plan," Tina said. She quickly looked at the building and noticed a small window just to the left of where they were standing. She pulled Marissa aside and said, "If you give me a boost, I can get into that window then distract the perp while you three go in and disarm him as well as getting the store owner's safe."

"Sound good, let's do this before I loose whatever courage I have," Marissa said.

They went over to the section of the wall that had the window Tina mentioned. Marissa crouched down and interlaced her fingers together to make a step. Tina took that as her cue to move. She stepped into Marissa's paws and Marissa lifted her up to the window.

Tina grabbed the sill once she was high enough to do so and lifted herself up and into the room on the other side. Safely inside, she looked around to make sure that she could safely drop down to the ground. Not seeing anything, she let go of the window and landed on the floor using her legs as shock absorbers. She then went to the door and said, "I wish I was in my other uniform for this, then I would have my 'toys' to help me instead of just my paws." Tina reached for the knob, gave it a turn, and very slowly opened the door.

"Where is all of the money you two rake in every day!?" The tom yelled. "I know there is more here than this measly two hundred dollars, so where is it!?"

"I went to the bank this morning and deposited the money. We don't have any more, what we gave you is what we have," a she-cat said on trembling words.

"You're lying bitch!" the tom snapped back and accidentally fired a shot. "Now look what you made me do. This place will be crawling with cops in a matter of minutes." He went over and grabbed the tom sitting on the floor, pointed his gun at the tom's head and said," I want the rest of the money in my paws or things are going to get rather messy."

Rolf and Katerina heard the shot and cringed for a second before they burst in through the front door.

Rolf knew he was bigger and stronger than the tom, so he charged him head on and brought the tom to the ground.

As they struggled, Rolf tried to get the gun out of the tom's paw by banging it against the hard floor of the store. However, that maneuver only caused the tom to squeeze the gun tighter which fired a third shot. The bullet left the gun's barrel and since the shot was at very close range, the bullet went straight through Rolf's left thigh and embedded itself in the wall.

As Rolf fell to the ground and held the wound in pain, Katerina tackled the tom who shot Rolf to the floor. She yelled as she held the tom to the ground, "Don't you move!"

The tom didn't listen to her though and he took a swing at her and connected with her shoulder.

Katerina winced for a second then punched the tom in the face with her right paw and knocked him out cold. "That is what you get for hitting a lady!" She yelled.

Tina ran Rolf's side as soon as he hit the ground. She quickly inspected the wound and noticed that the bullet went cleanly through his thigh. She said, "You are going to be alright Rolf. Heck, you aren't even going to need surgery. The bullet went right through your leg."

Rolf looked over to her and asked, "Does that mean I don't get a cute nurse to take care of me?"

"Can it brother," Marissa said before she fell to her knees, hugged Rolf with all of her might, and said, "I don't know whether to give you a kiss for being brave or slug you for being so stupid!" She rested her head on his shoulder then said, "I don't know what I would do without you Rolf, I love you brother."

Rolf brought his left arm up and hugged his sister and said, "I love you too, big sis."

Tina found a few large nylon zip ties and tied the tom's paws together. She then heard the sounds of a whimpering kitten off in the corner of the store and went to find the source. Tina listened carefully and honed in on the source of the sounds of a kitten in distress. She found a pile of cardboard boxes haphazardly stacked in the corner by a large freezer and moved a few of the boxes out of the way. Tina found what she assumed a four-year old kitten with shiny black fur and black curly hair. She was wearing a rainbow colored t-shirt and a pink skirt and she was curled up in a protective ball with her tail between her legs. Tina crouched down and slowly reached out to the kitten with her left paw and asked, "Hey there. I'm Tina, what's your name?"

The kitten opened her right eye and saw Tina with a smile on her face and her paw extended towards her. On shaky breath, the kitten asked, "Is he gone?"

"Not quite little one but I tied him up pretty well and my partner sort of knocked him out," Tina said as she took a chance and lightly touched the kitten's right shoulder.

The kitten slowly un-curled herself and brought herself onto her knees. She then reached out with both if her arms and encircled them around Tina's neck.

Tina picked her up like she was her own kitten. As the kitten rested her head on Tina's left shoulder and started to cry, she asked, "I was so scared. Where is my mommy?"

"She is with my partner," Tina said. "Come on, I'll take you to her."

Tina walked back to where Katerina, Marissa, and Rolf were. She then said as she lowered the kitten to the ground, "There is your mother."

"Mommy!" the kitten yelled as she ran to her mother.

The kitten's mother opened her arms and waited for her daughter to come to her.

The kitten encircled her arms around her mother's neck and said, "I love you mommy."

"I love you too Gwen," she said and kissed her daughter's cheek. She then lifted her head to Tina and said, "Thank you for saving us, that tom had been coming in here for months demanding money for protection. Now that he is going to jail, what happens when his employer finds out?"

"I wouldn't worry about that right now ma'am, I would be more focused on this beautiful little girl in your arms," Tina answered.

The city's police arrived and stormed into the store and took the un-conscious tom into custody. Then another policecat came over to Rolf and noticed his leg. "We need an ambulance," she said.

Rolf looked up and noticed the female police officer examining his leg. What he saw was a fiery red-headed she-cat with light brown fur, hazel eyes, and this cute pink nose. He tried to impress her by saying, "I'm really alright Miss, and there is no need for an ambulance."

She looked into his eyes and said, "You have been shot and that needs to be looked at by a doctor or it might get infected."

Rolf's heart started slamming in his chest when she gazed into his eyes. He swore he was looking at one of Bast's servants from just her very attractive appearance alone. He gulped before he asked, "Would you come with me? My sister and my friends need to head back to the academy before our lieutenant chews us out."

She tucked a few locks of her hair behind her left ear before she answered, "Alright, I need to get your statement for my report cadet. By the way, my name is Stacy, what's yours?"

"My name is Rolf and might I say, you are quite attractive?" he asked.

Stacy blushed and admitted to herself that Rolf wasn't that hard on the eyes either.

Marissa and Katerina noticed the two interacting with each other and Marissa said, "Enough flirting with her brother, either ask her out for a date or shut up already."

Rolf turned to his sister and said, "You are so lucky I love you Marissa." He then turned to Stacy and asked, "Since my sister's mouth does not have a filter and says whatever she feels like, would you go out with me when we get back from the hospital?"

Stacy giggled for a second at the playfulness of the two siblings which reminded her of her brothers and sisters. Although her family never teased each other the way Rolf and Marissa do. She stopped giggling and replied, "Sure as long as you are not too hyped on the pain killers they are going to give you."

Rolf could not believe she actually said she would go out with him. Even though he had dated several she-cats in the past, most of them were considered 'Air-heads' and couldn't put together a single coherent thought. However, he felt Stacy had a brain in her head and that was just one of the things that attracted him to her. He attempted to move to take her paw in his. However, as soon as he moved his injured leg, he screamed in pain and grabbed the wound.

Stacy, Katerina, and Marissa tried their best to hold Rolf still so he did not injure himself any further. Luckily for him, the ambulance arrived as well as the paramedics. They entered the store with a stretcher and a few bags of medical supplies. When they finally made their way to Rolf's side, the girls moved out of the way so the medical staff could work on Rolf.

"Alright big guy," one of the EMT's said. "We are going to move you onto the stretcher then the medics are going to put an IV in to start fluids."

As they moved Rolf, the pain in his leg increased and he started swearing and thrashing around on the stretcher. Fearing they were going to severely injure himself, one of the medics reached into his bag, pulled out a syringe containing enough drugs to knock out an elephant, and said, "Nighty night" before injecting Rolf with the drug.

A few seconds later, Rolf closed his eyes and fell asleep. He started mewing as he breathed then Stacy said, "Aw, isn't that adorable. He sounds just like a newborn kitten. It makes me want to take him home and take care of him."

"You are more than welcome to take him Stacy," Marissa said. "The amount of food he eats puts a major dent in our monthly expenses. You will be doing me a favor by taking him in."

Stacy went over to Rolf and stroked his cheek. He sub-consciously responded to her touch by grabbing her wrist with his paw tightly and said, "Don't leave me mommy."

"I guess I have no choice than to go with him," Stacy said. "Oh, I forgot to tell you, my sergeant called the academy and someone with the name Feral is on the way to get you."

"Feral!? As in Felina Feral?" the girls asked.

"Yes, that's the name I was given," Stacy said.

Just as soon as Stacy finished speaking, the sounds of screeching tires were heard from outside of the shop followed by a car door slamming. Then a very angry she-cat entered the store and headed straight towards the group. She quickly looked over at Rolf who was being wheeled out of the store then back to the group of cadets with a scowl that bored through them. "Are all of you out of your minds!? You could have been killed as well as the civilians! What made you think you could perform a rescue mission like this!" Felina yelled.

"We needed to act or they would have been killed," Tina answered.

"You should have called the cops and not have gone in there yourselves," Felina said. "Get in the car. We are heading back to the academy. The Commandant wants to have a word with you three."

They all got into the car and Felina started driving back towards the academy. As she drove, she asked, "Do you three have any idea how mad I am?"

"Felina, we did what we had to. We all weren't going to just stand there and let that family get shot," Katerina said.

"And that is the reason why I am so furious Katerina," Felina said. "As soon as I heard that four of my cadets were involved in rescuing that family and one of you were shot, my heart stopped for a second. Do you have any idea how worried I was that one of you might not be returning to me?" She pulled off to the side of the road then turned around to face the cadets. She then said, "I might be hard on you but it doesn't mean that I am an un-caring bitch. I do it because I need to make sure that every one of you is prepared for situations like the one you were in today. I have to say, you all handled it very well and I am proud you all."

"Thanks lieutenant," Marissa said. "It's nice to hear you say something positive about us."

"Don't let it go to your head cadet," Felina spat back. "Your brother was still shot today and now I have a large amount of paperwork to deal with."

"Sorry about that Felina," Tina said.

"That paperwork is the least of your worries Tina. You still have to deal with the Commandant and let me tell you, he is not happy with you four," Felina said as she pulled onto the academy grounds. She parked the car and then said without looking at the cadets and said, "Head into the office, he is waiting for you three."

All three of them got out of the car and started walking towards the office with their tails hanging low. As they entered the office, they noticed the Commandant's door open. Tina went over to the door and knocked.

The Commandant sat facing the wall. He was looking out of the windows facing the training grounds when he heard the subtle knock on his door. He lifted an eyebrow and said, "Enter."

The girls entered and stood at attention in front of his desk.

"Do you four have any idea how much trouble you are in?" the Commandant asked.

"No sir," they responded.

He spun around in his chair and faced the girls, then asked, "Where is the other one?"

"He was shot sir and is hopefully recovering in the hospital," Marissa answered.

"He was what!?" the Commandant asked as he stood up.

They quickly realized why this particular tom was appointed to the position of Commandant and was able to hold it for so long. The Commandant stood at a height of six and a half feet tall and weighted approximately 200 pounds. For his age, he was still very well built and he commanded respect with every breath he took.

"You three had no business going into that store! What were you all thinking! Every one of you could have been killed as well as the family that owns the place! I don't know what to do with you three. I have never had a batch of cadets do something so foolish before," the Commandant yelled.

"But sir," Katerina started to say but she was interrupted by the Commandant who yelled, "But sir what!? I should throw all four of you out of the academy!" He turned his head to face Katerina, then said, "And you Katerina Belikov, you had just earned your way back to prison."

"No fuckin' way! Um.. sir," Tina yelled.

"Watch your mouth Cassidy or I will escort your ass off of my academy grounds personally! Do I make myself clear?"

His desk phone started ringing but he was too angry to answer it at the moment. The phone stopped ringing and his assistant barged into his office and said, "Sir, there is a large amount of media outside the gates of the academy. They are demanding to speak to the four cadet heroes which saved the store owners."

"What!?" the Commandant asked.

"You heard me sir, they want to interview the city's newest heroes and they are not taking no for an answer," his assistant replied.

He turned back to the three girls standing in front of him and said, "You three have been given a second chance, don't screw it up." He turned back to his assistant and ordered, "Go and summon Lt. Feral and have her escort her cadets to the media."

"Yes sir," his assistant said and went to get the lieutenant.

Felina arrived a few minutes later. She instantly stood at attention, saluted the Commandant, and said, "Sir."

"Take your cadets out front and let the media ask their questions," the Commandant said.

"Sir, yes sir," Felina replied. She lowered her paw to her side then said, "Come on you three. Let's go."

As they were leaving his office, the Commandant said, "Lieutenant, they are your responsibility. One slip and you are going to be busted back down to street patrol. Understand?"

"I understand sir," Felina replied.

They left the office and Felina closed the door behind her. She led them out of the building and onto the training grounds before heading towards the main gates of the academy.

"There they are!" one of the reporters yelled.

"MegaKat Times, what compelled you three to charge into that store the way you did?" another reporter shouted.

Felina and the three cadets stood in front of a sea of reporters with all of them shouting questions at them.

Felina turned to the cadets and said, "This is your moment, don't screw this up."

The three of them looked at Felina and then towards the sea of reporters. They turned towards each other and replied in unison, "We won't."

As they walked out towards the reporters, Felina shook her head and instantly knew this was a very bad idea.
