sorry for the delay. Life got in the way of posting last week.
Tina arrived in front of Jasmine's building driving Felina's new car, wearing just a plain grey t-shirt and a black skirt she stole from Felina's closet. She pulled up in front of the building, lowered the passenger window, and said, "Someone call for a taxi?"
Mark heard the exhaust system of the car before it even arrived and when he saw the blue Dodge Challenger SRT pull up in front of the building with Tina driving, he walked over to the car, leaned over the door so he could poke his head inside, and asked, "Where in the world did you get this?"
Over the low rumble of the engine, Tina said, "Since Katerina and I don't have cars, I had to borrow Felina's." She then pushed the 'unlock' button with her left index finger, and said, "Get in."
Mark stood back up, grabbed the door handle with his right paw, and gave it a gentle tug. The door opened for him and he slid into the racing seat. He took a quick look around the car, and after he let out a Wolf whistle, he said, "This is really an impressive machine. I wonder if it goes as fast as it looks?"
Once Mark as safely buckled into his seat, Tina put the car into first gear, smirked, and said, "We'll hang on because you are about to find out!" She let out the clutch and once the car was a decent distance away from the building, she floored it.
The car responded instantly, throwing Mark back into his seat.
Once they hit the highway and Tina proved herself to be a very skilled driver, she backed the car down to a semi-normal speed, then asked, "Mark, why were you out this late at night and not at home with Lisa?"
"Felina and I went out with one of the new recruits to celebrate her first collar. She unfortunately ended up getting drunk so I took her back to her apartment," Mark answered.
Tina turned her head to the right and noticed a lipstick stain on Mark's neck. She scowled then brought the car to a screeching halt on the side of the road before turning in her seat to face him and asked, "Are you sure that is all that happened Mark!? Your neck says otherwise!"
Mark wiped his neck with his paw and noticed some red lipstick on his paw. "Oh brother," he said before he turned to Tina and explained, "Like I said, she was drunk and when I brought her back to her apartment, she tried to seduce me. I put her to bed and left right afterwards. I guess she left her mark on me when she kissed my neck."
"It had better happened the way you said dear brother or I swear, not only will Lisa find out you cheated on her but I will make sure you are kicked off of SWAT and use you for target practice!" Tina yelled.
Mark grabbed her paws in his, then spat back, "How long have you known me Tina!? I would never cheat on Lisa period! Believe me, if I wanted to cheat on her I have had plenty of opportunities to do so! Lisa is going to be my wife in a little over a week and she is the mother of my kitten already. Lisa is my life and do you really think I would screw up the best thing I ever had in my life? If you do, then you don't know me as well as you thought dear sister!" He let go of her paws but his disappointment still was clearly shown on his face.
Tina reached over the console and pulled Mark to her. She hugged him tightly but extended her claws just enough so he could feel them, and said, "I know you love Lisa more than anything in the world and you would never cheat on her. But, you are still a tom and when toms are tempted by a pretty she-cat, they sometimes do things that they regret later on. Lisa is my sister and I love my sister to death. So, if my big brother ever does anything to make my sister cry, these claws you feel in your back will be embedded in your heart!"
Mark winced in pain, hugged her back, and said, "Lisa is never going to cry while I'm with her. Well, I can't promise she won't cry at our wedding or when she gives birth to our kitten. But she won't cry over something I did. That I promise you Tina."
Tina withdrew her claws from his back, let him go, and sat in her seat again. "Let's get you back into my sister's arms again. I'm quite sure she is missing those arms holding her tight at night."
The sun came up and shown through an open window in a small castle on a small island just off of Megalith. Ulysses stirred in their shared bed with Callista, his now wife. After they had an elaborate dinner like he never had before, they retired to their chambers where they consummated their marriage several times. However, his bride was not at his side. He lifted his upper body from the bed and noticed a red blur out of the window. "What the heck was that?" He asked. Ulysses slipped out of bed, pulled on a robe, and went over to the window. As he peered out of the window, he heard his wife yelling in delight, "Higher! Faster!" He looked up and saw his wife, dressed in her long pink gown with her long blonde hair and tail fur billowing behind her, riding on the back of a very large red dragon. "Callista! What are you doing up there?"
Callista heard her husband and looked over her left shoulder back at her castle. She saw Ulysses in the window and said as she rubbed Esmeralda's neck with her left paw, "Let's see if my husband wants to go for a ride."
Esmeralda huffed as a puff of smoke left her nose, then dove down towards the castle. She stopped her decent and hovered just outside of the window putting Callista parallel with Ulysses. "Good morning my husband, did you sleep well?" She asked.
"I did indeed. I was wondering where you disappeared to this morning and now I know. Mind telling me who your friend is?" He asked.
Callista stroked Esmeralda's neck again as she answered, "This is Esmeralda, one of my dearest and oldest friends. I could tell her anything and she would keep my secrets safe from all. She is also a great aerial acrobat. Care to come with me for a demonstration of what she can do?"
"Callista, as much as I love you and I trust you, I'm not getting on anything that flies without a seatbelt," Ulysses said.
Callista smiled, then said, "Suit yourself." She patted Esmeralda and said, "Let's go!"
Esmeralda took off with a mighty flap of her wings, bringing them higher and higher into the sky.
Ulysses watched as his wife flew on the back of a live dragon, having the time of her life as Esmeralda dipped, flipped, and flew at top speed.
Morning came in MegaKat city and a young brunette kitten woke up to the sounds of birds chirping outside of her window. With only the excitement that a young girl could have on a new day, she bound out of bed, accidentally throwing Inferno to the floor who hissed at her in complaint as she ran around her room, throwing clothes on her young body.
Sally was awoken by the small tornado occurring in the bedroom next door. She kissed her husband quickly before she threw a robe on and went to check on what her daughter was up to.
Her husband lifted his head from the pillow and asked, "What the heck has Sarah in such a buzz this morning?"
"Good morning to you too Larry," Sally said. "Our daughter is going to work for the first time today."
"What? Sarah is only five, she is too young to work anywhere. Where exactly is she going to work?" Larry asked as he slipped his legs over the side of the bed and pulled on a pair of shorts.
"Sarah is going to be working along side of her friend Evelyn over at Callista's shop. With the help of Callista's granddaughter of course," Sally said as she cinched her robe around her waist.
Larry went over to his wife, wrapped his arms around her stomach, pulling her back into him, then said, "You mean we get to finally be alone for a few hours? Does that also mean we can have a little play date for ourselves as well?"
Sally felt Larry's arousal through his shorts and her robe and wanted to take care of his problem. However, as enticing as it was to have a play date with her husband of seven years, she had plenty of orders to fill and Jessica couldn't fill those orders by herself. No matter how talented of a seamstress she was. "Depending on how well Jessica and I do today in the shop and if Callie doesn't mind watching Sarah for a few more hours, we can have a nice little romantic dinner by candle light and maybe get to play for a while before Sarah comes home," Sally responded.
Larry kissed her neck, then said, "I'll say a little prayer to Bast in order to make that happen Sally. After seven years of marriage and giving birth to Sarah, you still are one hell of a sexy she-cat!. How did I ever get so lucky to get you to marry me?"
"You were very persistent in pursuing me Larry, I guess you wore down my resistance and I fell in love with you. Please let me go before our daughter makes my workshop look neat and I'll have to clean it up," Sally said as she patted his paws.
Larry let her go and watched as Sally slinked out of their bedroom. He sat back down on Sally's side of the bed, then said, "Sarah, I hope you have fun today, because if you do and your mother and I get some alone time, we might make you into a big sister."
Sally stopped at her daughter's door, knocked with the back of her right paw, and asked, "Sarah, can I come in?"
"Sure mommy," Sarah answered as she tried to brush out the mane of hair on her head.
Sally entered and noticed her daughter was already dressed in a blue corduroy skirt, a pair of light blue tights, and a red long sleeve shirt. She also had her hair brush stuck in her hair. Sally went over to her daughter, kissed her left cheek, then sat down next to her to help her with her hair.
"Thank you mommy," Sarah said as her mother managed to untangle the hairbrush from her hair and started to run it through.
"You're welcome Sarah," Sally responded as she brushed her daughter's hair. "I wish I could join you today. You are going to have so much fun with Evelyn and Callie, I'm sort of jealous!"
"Why mommy? You get to spend the day doing what you love. Plus, you have Jessica to keep you company and if you want, Inferno can come with you too," Sarah said.
Inferno let out a screech after hearing his name.
Sally turned her head to face the young dragon and said, "Good morning to you too Inferno." She refocused on her daughter again, then said, "Oh, I don't think Jessica is quite ready for Inferno yet. She barely handled being with Spencer."
"Why? Spencer might not be as formal as Persival is, but he is just as fun to be with," Sarah asked.
"Spencer is definitely quite the tom and I admit, I have never quite seen anyone like him before. However, Inferno is dragon and as much as we love the little scaly guy, he could be a little much for someone to take in," Sally said as she ran the brush through Sarah's hair, smoothing it out the best she could.
"I guess," Sarah said as her eyes looked at her lap. Then an idea came into her young head. She looked at her mother, and asked, "Can Inferno come with me?"
"I don't see why not. You have to ask Callie though, it is her grandmother's shop," Sally said as she finished brushing her daughter's hair and stood up. "We need to get you fed before Callie gets here."
"All right mommy," Sarah replied before she said, "Come on Inferno!"
Inferno flapped his wings and flew over to Sarah's shoulder. He landed on her so his head was next to her right cheek and his tail draped down her left side.
"You are getting heavy boy," Sarah said as she walked beside her mother.
On the other side of the city, Evelyn was waiting patiently for Callie to arrive to take her and Sarah to Callista's store. She busied herself by brushing out Spencer's fur, which caused him to let out a deep purr with every brush stroke.
"That feels so good Evelyn," he said. "Have you ever thought of becoming a groomer? You have some very talented paws. A little more to the right if you don't mind."
Evelyn lifted the brush from his body and moved it right between his wings. She gently started brushing him again.
"Mmm, that's the spot," Spencer purred.
Helen entered the living room and saw her daughter brushing out Spencer's fur. She also noticed the large clumps of black puma fur all over her clean living room. "Now, who is going to clean up all of the Mini-Spencers in my once pristine living room?" She asked.
Evelyn bolted away from Spencer, hugged her mother, and said, "I'll clean it up mommy." Evelyn raised her right paw so it was level with her shoulder and wiggled her fingers as she concentrated on the piles of left over puma fur.
The piles of fur started glowing and levitating off of the floor and floated into one large clump. However, as talented as Evelyn was, she is still very inexperienced in the use of her powers. Hence, she accidentally levitated Spencer right along with the piles of fur.
Spencer opened his eyes as his body lifted off of the floor. "What the heck?" Spencer asked and tried to break free from Evelyn's spell.
Evelyn noticed her knight struggling against her and she said," Oops, sorry Spencer." Evelyn lowered her paw and everything she had balancing in the air, fell to the floor.
Spencer hit the ground hard and took off towards the kitchen, almost knocking Michael over in the process.
"What in the world is going on on here?" Michael asked just after he walked into the living room.
"Daddy!" Evelyn yelled in delight as she ran to her father.
Michael knelt down and grabbed his daughter in his arms. He pulled her to him, hugged her tightly, and asked, "I guess you had something to do with Spencer's behavior?"
"I'm sorry daddy," Evelyn said. "I'm not good at using my magic yet."
Michael kissed Evelyn, and said, "You are doing better than I was at your age Evelyn. I gave your grandmother many stressful days as I practiced my magic."
"Can I go and check on Spencer please?" Evelyn asked.
"Sure," Michael answered as he let her go.
Evelyn ran off into the kitchen to check on her knight while Michael went further into the living room and started helping Helen pick up all of the errant fur balls. "Our daughter is really doing well with practicing her powers."
Helen picked up another one of the fur balls as she said, "Evelyn has learned so much from the queen. However, she has picked up a few tricks on her own. I'm really proud of her."
Michael went over to Helen, picked her up in his arms, and said, "She is our daughter Helen, I fully expect her to be able to learn things on her own."
"And why am I in your arms, my dear husband?" Helen asked as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
Michael lifted his right eyebrow and asked, "I can't carry my pregnant wife around our house?"
"Why do I have a feeling you had something else in mind," Helen said.
"That is because I do," Michael said. "After Evelyn leaves this morning, how about you and I go and have a little fun together."
"Mmm, I like the way you think, my dear. I even have this little number I have been saving for a special occasion that will drive you wild," Helen said before she nibbled his neck.
"Helen, if you keep doing that, we are not going to even make it to the kitchen before I carry you back upstairs and take you to the heights of pleasure," Michael said.
"Then, I'll have to stop enticing my sexy husband until our daughter leaves," Helen said.
He carried Helen into the kitchen and found Evelyn magically making breakfast for all of them while Spencer sat out of the way with his wings folded tightly to his body.
Evelyn noticed her parents entering the kitchen and proudly said, "Mommy, Daddy, I'm making breakfast by myself!"
"Yes you are Evelyn, what are you making?" Michael asked.
"Eggs, sausage, and some sort of rolls mommy bought," Evelyn replied.
"You mean the cinnamon rolls I picked up in the market Evelyn?" Helen asked.
"Yes! That's them mommy!"
"They were going to be for your father's birthday breakfast but this is just as good. Can we help you at all dear?" Helen asked.
"No mommy, I think I have got it," Evelyn replied as she magically flipped the eggs. "Um, can you set the table? I don't want to stop what I am doing."
"Michael, can you put me down, please?" Helen asked.
"Do I have to?" Michael asked before he smirked at his wife.
"Yes you do, or you don't eat," Helen answered as she crossed her arms.
Michael put Helen down on her feet. But as she started to walk away, he lightly slapped her tail section, which caused Helen to jump.
Helen turned around and shot her husband a censuring glance and tweaked her nose.
Michael felt weird for a second, then felt a light breeze around his mid-section. He then looked down and noticed that he was now standing in his kitchen, completely naked, thanks to his lovely wife's powers. Before Evelyn got to see more of him than he wanted, he ran out of the kitchen.
Helen was laughing so hard, she doubled over and had to rest her paws on her thighs.
Evelyn heard her mother's laughter and asked after she turned around, "What's so funny mommy?"
Helen stopped laughing and went over to where Evelyn was working. She put her left arm around her daughter's shoulders, and said, "Just your father's sense of fashion Evelyn." She picked up her daughter, kissed her cheek, then said, "Let's see how your breakfast is doing."
Callie and Chance were on their way to go and pick up Sarah. Chance every once in a while turned his eyes to look over at his future bride and how her body glowed. "Are you sure you are up for this Callie? The girls were quite active this morning."
Callie was looking forward to this day more than she let on. She was hoping to peruse her grandmother's shop and hopefully find out more about her heritage from the old tomes she knew her Callista had somewhere in her building. "I'm fine Chance," she replied. "I just have to get used to having the girls becoming more active as I get further along. Hey, at least I'm not getting sick every day like Felina is."
"Jake can't wait for the first trimester to end so he doesn't have to clean the bathroom after she gets sick. As good of a shot as Felina is on the range, apparently she can't hit the porcelain god with a tank," Chance said.
Callie chuckled at her best friend's mis-fortune, then said, "Who knew the toughest she-cat on the force could be taken out by an un-born kitten." She reached across the seat with her left paw and put it on his left thigh, then said, "I'm really fine Chance. I'm just slightly nervous about what I might find in Callista's shop. Ever since her wedding and finding out that Bast is my great-grandmother, I want to know what other ghosts are hiding in my closet."
Chance turned the car to the right, then said, "I don't know what else you are going to find out Callie. Callista found out who her mother is at the same time you did. I highly doubt you are going to find anything else out."
He pulled up to an old Brownstone and parked the car. After he turned it off, he said, "Were here, you want to wait in the car while I get Sarah?"
"No, I'll go with you," she said as she un-buckled herself from her seat. Then one of the kittens started kicking her, hard. She grasped her stomach and groaned.
Chance instantly reached over and put his paw over hers, and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing, I hope. One of our little angels is playing soccer in there, and she is real strong," Callie said.
"Can I do anything to help?" He asked.
"Nothing that can be done in public I'm afraid," Callie replied as her daughter calmed down. She turned to Chance, squeezed his paw with hers, and said, "Let's head inside and get Sarah before the other two decide to start playing with their sister as well."
Callie let go of Chance's paw and slid out of the car while Chance quickly got out and ran to the other side to help his fiancée out. He managed to get to her in time to grasp her right paw in his and gently pull her to him.
They embraced on the sidewalk for a minute and he stroked her long hair with his right paw.
"As long as you are in my arms Callie, I could stay like this forever,," he said.
"So could I. However, we have a kitten to pick up for a magical day of fun and I don't want to disappoint her," Callie said.
"Neither do I," Chance said before he kissed her briefly and pulled back.
By that time, Larry had the front door to their house open and was watching them. He said, "Sarah is waiting for you two in the kitchen. Please come in."
Callie and Chance slipped out of their shared embrace and intertwined their fingers together as they walked up the stairs to the house.
They entered the house and Larry closed the front door behind them. He then said, "I'm Larry, Sally's husband and Sarah's father. You two must be Chance and Callie, please to meet both of you. Sarah has told us so much about you two."
"Sarah is an amazing kitten Larry," Chance said as he extended his paw to him.
Larry took it and gave it a firm shake. He took his paw back and said, "Yes she is and we love her to death. Welcome to our home, would you like some breakfast?"
"We have eaten already but thank you Larry," Callie said.
"Please come into the kitchen, I'm sure Sarah will be very happy to see you again," Larry said as he motioned for them to enter farther into his home.
Callie entered the kitchen and all of a sudden heard Sarah scream, "Callie!"
Sarah ran from her place at the table to her friend and hugged her legs tightly.
Callie bent over the best she could and returned her embrace. Then one of her kittens started kicking again, which caused her to wince.
Sarah noticed Callie's discomfort and asked, "Are you ok Callie?"
"I'm alright," she responded before her face lit up with an idea to help Sarah understand what she was going through and asked, "Would you like to feel one of the kittens kick?"
"Can I?" Sarah asked.
"Yes, put your paw on my stomach and wait. One of them has been quite active today and I can guarantee she will kick again soon," Callie said.
Sarah did exactly what she was told and put the palm of her right paw against Callie's stomach.
The kitten gave a hard kick a few seconds later which they both felt.
Callie winced again while Sarah asked, "That is so cool! What does it feel like having a kitten inside of you and how did it get there?"
"The four adults looked at each other nervously since Sarah was way too young to learn about how a kitten was really made. Then Sally answered, "When a tom and a she-cat dance real close and they kiss, it results in a kitten being placed inside of the she-cat. As for what is feels like, it feels wonderful knowing you are nurturing another life. Does that answer your question Sarah?"
"I guess it does mommy. I'm going to clean up so we can go," Sarah said before she left the kitchen.
"You dodged a bullet with that answer Sally, I didn't want to really explain the process of making a kitten to a five year old," Chance said.
"Sarah is very smart and I'm sure she hears some of our nightly activities after we put her to bed, so I'm sure she knows there is more to the process than we told her," Larry said.
Sally shot him an angry look, then said, "I certainly hope not Larry! I don't want to her to know about those type of things yet! She is only five years old and she should not know anything about where kittens come from!"
Sarah returned to the kitchen with her teeth brushed as well as a blue bow in her hair that matched her tights. She then said, "I'm ready to go," Sarah stroked the scales on Inferno's back and asked, "Can Inferno come with us Callie? He'll be lonely without anyone to play with."
"I don't see why he can't go with us. He will have to stay in the back room though," Callie replied.
"Thank You Callie!" Sarah exclaimed then turned her head to face Inferno who was on her shoulders again and said, "Isn't this great! You get to come with us!"
Inferno lifted his head, opened his mouth, and let out a happy screech while shooting a flame from his mouth.
This tiny action set off the smoke alarms in the house. Then the phone started ringing.
"I'll get it," Larry said.
Larry picked up the receiver and said, "Thank you for calling to check on the alarm. Yes, we were cooking again and it got away from us. Have a good day." He hung up the phone, then said, "The alarm company must think we can't boil water with the amount of false alarms Inferno triggers."
"I'm sorry mommy and daddy. And so is Inferno," Sarah said.
"Its alright Sarah, we know Inferno doesn't mean to set off the alarms. He is a dragon after all so we expect certain things," Sally said.
Chance put his right arm around Callie and asked, "Inferno isn't small and cute anymore, do you think its wise for Sarah to keep him?"
"Inferno is my friend Chance! He likes it here and is not leaving!" Sarah said as she snatched Inferno from her shoulders and held him tightly in her arms.
Sally picked up Sarah and said, "Inferno is as much of a part of this family as Sarah is. Both Larry and I can't see our family without Inferno in it."
Callie went over to Sarah and Sally and stroked the scales on Inferno's head. She then asked the dragon, "You wouldn't do anything to harm Sarah or this family, would you?
Inferno looked at Callie then back to Sarah. He wiggled his way out of Sarah's grasp and crawled up her left arm before rubbing his face against her left cheek and cooing.
"I guess not," Callie said. "I have a very good feeling that Inferno will be a great addition to this family. He feels at home here and will protect his family to the bitter end, if needed."
"Callie, can we go? We still have to get Evelyn," Sarah asked.
"You're right Sarah, we do need to get going," Callie said. She then went over to Chance, kissed his cheek, then said, "Let's head out dear, you have a lot of driving to do and no short cuts! I like my car in one piece please."
"And I had the perfect short cut picked out that would get us over to the Higgins' house in half the time. Oh well, Chance's taxi service is ready to take two beautiful ladies to their store," he said and bowed to Callie and Sarah.
"Chance is funny," Sarah said in between bouts of laughter at Chance's antics.
"Yes he is Sarah and he is going to be a great father to his daughters," Callie said before she looked over at Chance, wiggled her nose, making a black peak hat appear on his head, then said, "Now you look the part of a driver. Let's head out for our day of adventure and magic Sarah, there is a whole world to explore at my grandmother's shop."
