This story is going on a short hiatus while I write some chapters to stick in the bank.

Two, towards the end, I mention a character by the name of Kat-Ra. She is going to have her own story as well artwork.

As always, MisaRae I couldn't do this without you!

"What are you talking about Felicia?" Nancy asked.

Felicia was still struggling against the tom and when she had enough, she said, "Stop struggling or you are going to regret it!"

"Oh, what are you going to do about it, my gorgeous piece of fluff?" The tom asked.

Felicia grabbed the tom's shirt and brought him to her. She then spat, "One, I'm not a piece of fluff and two, you are a complete jerk! Now shut up and wait for the Enforcers to take you and your friends to jail!"

He grabbed her butt as he said, "At least I'll have a good memory of this hot tail to keep me company while I'm in the slammer," the tom said right before Felicia slammed her fist into the tom's face, knocking him out.

"Serves you right!" Felicia said before she flipped her hair over her shoulder. Felicia turned to answer Nancy and asked, "If its not magic, how else do you explain a large winged-puma and a dragon being in MegaKat City?"

"I can't, I mean I don't have a plausible answer Felicia," Nancy said.

Felicia got up from the floor, went over to Nancy, and said, "This place is full of magic Nancy. My friend Callie over there is a sorceress as well as her grandmother, not to mention her grandmother was also the queen of Megalith as well as slightly immortal. From what I have been told, the puma is a guardian and teacher and Inferno is Sarah's companion."

As Nancy shook her head in disbelief, she asked, "Guardian and teacher, to who?"

"Too me. Spencer is my friend and knight," Evelyn spoke up.

Nancy went over to Evelyn, crouched down to her level, and looked into her eyes before she said, "Spencer is a dangerous creature.."

"Spencer is not dangerous!" Evelyn yelled. "He is my best friend and I love him! He would do anything for me and my family!"

Nancy was shocked that such a young kitten would have such a deep emotional attachment to a creature such as Spencer. "Evelyn, right?" She asked.

Evelyn nodded to her in response before Nancy asked, "Can I meet him?"

"Sure, but Spencer can be a little bit much to handle according to my mom," Evelyn said as she reached out with her tiny right paw to Nancy so she could take her into the back room in order to meet Spencer properly.

Nancy took Evelyn's paw in hers and let Evelyn lead her into the back. But before they disappeared behind the door, Nancy turned her head to Felicia and said, "I'll be right back Felicia."

Mark heard the dispatch over the radio for a disturbance at Callista's shop. He floored his patrol car to get over there before any of the other officers arrived as witnessed something that might put his friends safety in jeopardy.

Jasmine held onto the door handle for dear life as Mark maneuvered the car through the city's traffic. "Mark! Slow down! You are going to get us killed or kill someone else!"

Mark tuned her out as he focused on getting to Callista's. He moved his eyes to Jasmine then back to the road in front of him as he thought, 'I wish Lisa was here instead of Jasmine, how am I going to explain Callista's shop to her, especially if some magic spell went awry. I hope she can handle this.'

Mark pulled up in front of Callista's shop and got out of the car. After he rounded the front of the car, he put both of his paws on Jasmine's shoulders and said, "I think you had better stay in the car Jasmine."

"Why do I need to stay in the car? I'm not a Rookie anymore and I'm more than capable of handling myself!" She said.

"Look Jasmine, there could be things in there that are life changing. I'm just looking out for you," Mark said.

Jasmine slapped his paws from her shoulders and walked past him to the front door. She looked inside and saw the Deputy Mayor holding onto a strong tom, a she-cat, securing another one with a rope, and a little kitten, looking at a picture book over in the corner. Jasmine turned back to Mark and said, "There is nothing in there that is life changing partner." She turned back to the door and opened it.

"I hope you are right Jasmine," he said before he caught up to her and entered the shop.

Sarah heard the old bell above the front door and noticed Mark with another she-cat entering. She left the stool she was sitting on and ran over to Mark. Sarah wrapped her arms around his legs and said, "Mark! I missed you!"

"I missed you too princess," Mark said as he bent over to pick up Sarah.

Sarah let go of his legs and allowed him to pick her up and when he had her safely cradled in his arms, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his cheek.

"Does Lisa know about her Mark?" Jasmine asked.

"She certainly does," Mark replied. "Jasmine, meet my friend Sarah. Sarah, meet Jasmine, my partner."

Sarah briefly looked over Jasmine, then asked, "You look just like Callie does, are you her sister?"

Jasmine quickly glanced at the Deputy Mayor and realized that if her fur and her hair were lighter they could be almost identical twins. She turned back to Sarah and replied, "No, I'm not her sister Sarah. Can you tell me what happened?"

"Those three in the hoodies tried to rob this store. Felicia, Chance, and Nancy stopped them," Sarah replied, pointing to the three cats on the floor with their paws secured.

Jasmine entered further into the store to where Felicia was standing. She looked down at the un-conscious tom at her feet, then asked, "I guess you had something to do with his condition?"

"He grabbed my tail so I took care of him," Felicia replied.

She looked at the other tom and the she-cat, who was also passed out, then asked, "What about these two?"

"The tom held a knife to my fiancée, so I took him down and the she-cat took a swing at Nancy, so she knocked her out," Chance answered.

Mark went over to Callie and Chance while carrying Sarah. He then asked, "Are you alright Callie?"

"Perfectly fine Mark, well except for one of the girls being quite active today," Callie replied as she put her paws on her abdomen.

Jasmine was about to put the pawcuffs on the awake tom, but when she was about to affix the first cuff around his left paw, he slammed the back of his head against her forehead, stunning her for a second before taking off.

As Mark put Sarah down so he could go after him, he said, "Crud, I hate running in these shoes." And went after him.

Sarah went over to where Jasmine was rubbing her head with her right paw and asked, "Are you alright?"

"Fine," Jasmine said, "Just my pride is hurt. Please excuse me while I go help my partner get the creep back!" She took off after Mark and her assailant.

"Spencer, Spencer," Evelyn cried. "I want you to meet a new friend."

Spencer poked his head out of a closet and saw his princess holding the paw of a slightly older she-cat with light brown hair and even lighter fur, but she was quite shapely. He came out of his hiding space and asked, "Hey princess, who is your friend?"

Nancy watched as the puma came out of the closet, his muscles rippled beneath his black-shinny fur with every step he took. She also took notice of his large wings tucked tightly to his body. However, as intimidating as Spencer looked, she didn't feel frightened in the least.

"Spencer, this is Nancy. She is Felicia's friend and student at the dojo. Nancy, this is Spencer, my fearless knight," Evelyn said.

Spencer eyed Nancy, especially her tail's fur coloring that ended with black tips and he said, "My princess knows how to surround herself with very beautiful companions."

Nancy couldn't believe she was just hit on by a magical puma but she held her composure and said, "I guess she does. Can you fly as fast as your mouth gets you in trouble Spencer?"

"Ooo, another feisty she-cat," he said. "Tell me Nancy, why would a beauty such as yourself want to hide beneath those non-flattering clothes? You should be dressed in the finest silks that enhance you natural radiance."

'Boy this guy is really laying it on thick. He is cute but I prefer my toms to walk on two legs instead of four,' she thought and replied, "This is my uniform Spencer, I'm a nurse at the hospital."

"You can nurse me back to health anytime you want Nancy," Spencer said then licked his lips.

The pickup line was so old that even Evelyn cringed at hearing it. "Spencer! Stop flirting with my friends!" Evelyn said.

"As you wish princess," Spencer said.

Evelyn lifted her head to Nancy and said, "You have to forgive Spencer, he is not as polite as he should be." She shot him a censuring glare that made him tremble.

Nancy laughed that a cat as big as Spencer is could be frightened by a glance from a little kitten. She went over to Spencer and said, "I guess you can't be all bad if Evelyn can make you into a cowering kitten Spencer."

"My princess might be small in stature Nancy but she is just as powerful as her parents are. There is a lot of magic in those tiny paws of hers," Spencer said.

Nancy turned to Evelyn and asked, "You are a sorceress too?"

"Yes, my whole family are sorcerers and sorceresses Nurse Nancy. Although, I'm just learning how to use my powers properly," Evelyn said.

"Wow! I have never met a sorceress before, not to mention one as cute as you are Evelyn. Can you show me what you can do?" Nancy asked.

"Yes I can Nancy," Evelyn responded before she closed her eyes. She concentrated on levitating Nancy from the floor and her hair started to stand on its end as her body glowed.

Nancy felt lighter on her feet and as she looked down, she noticed that she was floating in the air by about an inch or two. "This is amazing Evelyn." She said.

But being as young and as inexperienced as Evelyn is, her powers gave up rather quickly. Her body stopped glowing and Nancy was back on her feet.

Callie felt a small surge of power from the back room and ran back there to make sure everything was alright. "Evelyn, what happened?" Callie asked.

I was showing my new friend Nancy my powers, what's wrong Callie?" She asked.

"I felt a surge of magic from back here and came back to find out what it was. Now I know," Callie said as she crouched down to Evelyn's level, then asked, "Did anyone teach you how to shield your abilities Evelyn?"

"My grandma did, a little, why?" Evelyn asked.

"Callista told me that other magic users could sense another in the area when we use our powers Evelyn," Callie answered.

"Oh," Evelyn said as she looked at her paws briefly, then asked, "Is that why there are talismans at the four corners of my house?"

"I guess. Your parents would know more about this than I do since they were born into it. I was thrust into it, but I love my abilities though," Callie said.

Evelyn hugged Callie briefly, then went over to Nancy. She looked up at her and, "Nurse Nancy, can I ask you something?"

"Sure Evelyn," Nancy responded.

"When I was using my powers to make you float, I felt two souls from you. One big and one small. Why would you have two souls Nancy?" Evelyn asked.

Nancy's face lit up brighter than a 1000 watt lightbulb when she heard Evelyn's question. She turned her head slightly to face Callie and asked, "Do you think Evelyn felt a child?"

Callie went over to Nancy and started extending her glowing left paw to her abdomen. But stopped realizing she was about to do something very intimate. "May I find out for sure Nancy?"

"Please do," she replied.

Callie put her paw on Nancy's abs and concentrated. A vision of a very immature fetus appeared in her mind and she smiled at Nancy. "I guess congratulations are in order Nancy, you're pregnant with a kitten."

"Mario is going to be so happy!" Nancy said through tears of joy. "We both wanted a kitten and now we have one!" She placed her paws on top of Callie's as her tears flowed more freely.

The tom that escaped the shop ran down the street, being followed by Mark and even though Jasmine was short, she ran almost as fast as a track runner so she quickly caught up to Mark.

"Stop in the name of the law!" Mark yelled at the perp.

"That line is tacky Mark," Jasmine said as she pumped her arms harder.

"Yea, I know but they taught us to say it at the academy," Mark said. "So, how exactly are we going to catch this guy? He's fast on his feet and I can't run in these shoes for much longer."

Jasmine examined the landscape and noticed the horizontal poles extending out of every light post along the street. She measured the distance between the them with her eyes and determined that she could easily jump from one post to the next with a little extra velocity from flipping over the bars. "Can you get me up there?" She asked pointing to the bars attached to the light posts.

"Piece of cake but why?" Mark asked.

"Just trust me Mark and use those muscles for something other than attracting she-cats to you," Jasmine said.

"I don't.. Never mind. How do you want to get up there?" Mark asked.

"I only weigh about a hundred pounds, just throw me up there!" Jasmine said.

"Alright, jump into my arms and I will throw you up there," Mark said.

Jasmine slowed down and let Mark get ahead of her by about twenty feet, then ran towards him as fast as she could.

Mark readied himself and when he heard her shoes slapping against the pavement, he reached out with his right arm, and waited for her to jump into it.

Jasmine timed her moves perfectly. She jumped off of her right foot and into Mark's awaiting arm. He lifted her up and rested her on the open palm of his paw. He pulled back and at the last second, he threw her up into the air at the lamp post fifteen feet ahead of him.

Jasmine straightened out her body like an arrow after she was launched by Mark into the air. She reached out with both of her paws, grabbing the bar as soon as she could reach it and flipped herself over the bar once before she landed on the bar on the balls of her feet with her hands between her legs. Jasmine watched as the perp ran down the street. She positioned herself into a handstand and started a rotating around the bar, spinning faster and faster with every rotation until she developed enough speed to launch herself to the next lamp post. At the last possible second, she brought her feet up to rest on the bar and with all of her strength, she launched herself towards the next lamp post.

A small crowd of pedestrians watched her from below and were astonished with her moves as well as her determination to capture the tom running away from them.

The tom looked over his shoulder and noticed Mark was falling further behind. He said as his head turned back towards the front, "I'm going to get away!"

Unbeknownst to him, Jasmine was high above approximately two lamp posts away and closing in very fast. She completed her last jump and landed on the lamp post for only a second before diving head first after the tom. She brought her arm around his waist, using her propulsion to bring him down to the ground. Jasmine sprung out, flipped through the air, and landed on her feet.

The crowd of pedestrians went wild with applause and cheer as the tom was brought down by Jasmine and arrested by Mark.

"That was very impressive Jasmine," Mark said as he lifted the tom back to his feet.

"Thanks partner," Jasmine said. "The idea came to me on a whim and I went with it. I guess years of practice on the un-even bars paid off."

"You aren't kidding Jasmine. The only time I have ever seen a suspect taken out like that was in a Kat-Ra comic."

"You read Kat-Ra too?" She's my favorite heroine, next to Pirouette that is," Jasmine said.

"Pirouette? You like her as well?" Mark asked.

"What's not to like? She's strong, a great role model for kittens in general, not to mention beautiful," Jasmine answered.

Mark then muttered, "And soon to be my wife."

"What was that Mark? I didn't hear you," Jasmine said as she walked up next to him.

"Nothing, let's get this guy back to the car and hopefully his friends are already on their way to central booking," Mark said.

Mark and Jasmine walked back to the store while Mark held onto the tom tightly. He kept stealing little glances as Jasmine, thinking, 'She is smart, cunning, and very dexterous. Jasmine would make a great addition to the team as Lisa's replacement. I only hope I can convince the team to let her try out, that is if Jasmine wants to run around in tight uniforms risking her life to protect the city?'
