I'm still trying to get back into the swing of writing again. New job and very long commute is taking its toll.
However, I am going to post this to keep everyone involved in the story.
MisaRae, you have been there since the beginning and continue to be the best co-author as well as little sister I could ever want! If it wasn't for our passion for writing these little fics, we would have never met and my life would be so much poorer without you in it.
Without further ado,
Mark sat on a chair in the Groom's waiting room with his head in his paws. He was dressed in a black tuxedo with a blood red bow tie and cummerbund. His hair was tied back with a matching ribbon. Mark was nervous about being married by Lisa's father since they have not seen them since he and Lisa got pregnant.
His two brothers entered the room with smiles on their faces. His brother Sean asked, "Why do you look so gloomy Mark? In about an hour, you are going to be married to one of the hottest she-cats in the city! If I was you, I would be crawling up the walls to get the ceremony and reception over with so I could get to the real fun stuff!"
Mark lifted his head and replied, "Sean, you never cease to amaze me. I haven't seen Lisa's parents since they left for their home. They don't know their daughter is pregnant and I don't want to be there when her father finds out."
"I still can't believe you screwed up that badly brother," Sean said. "According to what you told us, you and Lisa were alone in your friend's back yard and you both decided to take that step. Now, she is pregnant with your kitten. I've seen how much Lisa has changed. She has embraced her pregnancy and I think she is actually glowing."
Mark smirked at his brother, then said, "Lisa has embraced her pregnancy Sean. She keeps telling me she can't wait to meet our kitten for the first time, how large of a family she wants, and how much she loves me."
"Well dear brother, you are about to face your executioner," Kevin said. "Its time for you to take your place at the altar."
Mark stood up, straightened his tux jacket, and left the room with his arms around his brother's shoulders.
Down the hall, Katerina ran a brush through Lisa's long hair. She was already dressed in her wedding gown and since Felina was having issues getting into her dress, Tina and Callie were busy helping her get into her dress.
"Lisa, you look gorgeous," Katerina said as she continued brushing out Lisa's hair.
"Thank you Katerina," Lisa replied. "I'm just glad the dress still fits. I've gotten a little bigger since my last fitting."
"You might have Lisa, but it looks good on you. Mark must be on cloud nine since in a few short months, he is going to be able to hold his child in those strong arms of his," Katerina said before she stopped brushing Lisa's hair and went to get Lisa's veil.
Lisa felt a light kick from her kitten and patted her stomach. "Be still little one. Your father will be with us soon so you don't have to be so lonely."
Katerina returned with Lisa's veil and heard Lisa talking to her un-born kitten. "You are going to be an excellent mother Lisa. I can already see how much you love your kitten."
"I do love him or her already Katerina," Lisa said after she turned her head to face Katerina. "And so does Mark." She looked around to make sure that no one else was around to hear her, then said, "Mark actually leans in and talks to the kitten. He's so cute and adorable when he does that. Plus when he purrs to it, his purr does things to me that drives me wild!"
Katerina lifted the right corner of her mouth and was about to say something, when Felina, Callie, and Tina entered the room. All three of their eyes fell on Lisa and saw how beautiful she looked in her dress.
"I hope I look as beautiful in my dress as you do Lisa," Callie said.
"You have nothing to worry about Callie, you are going to have Chance drooling when he sees you in your dress," Lisa said.
"I hope so Lisa, the girls are really starting to get big. I feel like I'm carrying three bowling balls inside of me," Callie said as she rubbed her expanding stomach.
"You have nothing to worry about Callie," Felina said. "Just look at your grandmother. She's ancient and still has a body that make much younger toms stop and stare at her."
"My grandmother wasn't pregnant with three girls Felina!" Callie said as her tail's fur bristled out.
"So what? With a twist of your finger, you will have your body back. Me, I'm going to have to work my tail off in the gym to get my body back. My mother blew up and never got back in shape after she had me," Felina said.
"And your eight brothers as well," Callie said.
Felina tapped her finger against her right cheek for a second, then said, "I guess you're right about that Callie. Having nine kittens has to put a strain on your body." She then reached out and grabbed Callie with her right arm, pulled her into a sideways hug, then said, "Come on, dear sister. Its time for the Bride's Maids to line up."
Felina pulled Callie out of the room and into the hall where she saw Mark and his brothers already heading towards the altar. She just had to stare at the three gorgeous backsides moving in their fitted pants, then said, "You know, if we weren't getting married Callie, I wouldn't mind trying to tame those two."
Callie wrenched herself out of Felina's grip, fluffed out her hair, then asked, "What's the matter Felina, Jake not enough tom for you?"
Felina's head shot around to face her friend, then answered, "Of course he's tom enough for me! But a girl can dream, can't she?"
"Stop ogling Mark's brother's backsides and let's go!" Callie said as she pulled Felina towards the altar.
They arrived at the end of the hall leading towards the chapel, followed by Tina, Katerina, and Lisa.
Lisa walked around her group of friends, and cracked open the door to the chapel. She saw Mark, his brothers, as well as Chance and Jake. They all were wearing matching tuxedoes and mulling around the altar, waiting for her father and mother to arrive. "Where the heck are my parents?" She asked herself. "They should have been here by now."
On the freeway, Lisa's parents were driving on their way to their daughter's wedding.
"I can't believe we are going to be late to our own daughter's wedding! On top of that, she can't get married without us there because YOU are officiating! You had to buy those cheap airline tickets Fred. I was going to book two tickets on a earlier flight, but no! You had to save a few dollars by booking that second rate airline," Adrienne said.
Fred gripped the wheel tighter in his paws, and said to his wife, "How was I supposed to know they were going to cancel our flight!"
"How was I supposed to know they were going to cancel out flight!?"" Adrienne asked. "Fred! That airline had cancelled more flights in the past year than actually took off!"
"Well its too late now and we will be there in a few minutes," Fred said.
A siren wailed behind the car they were driving and Fred looked at the mirror. He noticed the patrol car right on his bumper with its lights on.
"Great, now I'm getting pulled over," Fred mumbled while his wife shot a death glare at him.
Jasmine got out of her patrol car and walked up to the obvious rental's driver's side window. She tapped on the glass and noticed the driver was some sort of a priest. And as he lowered the window, she asked, "License, registration, Insurance, and the name of the company who taught you how to drive?"
Fred handed her the documentation Jasmine requested as he said, "That's not the standard request for a driving offense miss."
"I'm not a standard Enforcer, sir," Jasmine said as she examined Fred's paperwork. "So Chaplain, why are you driving worse than a certain Lieutenant I know?"
"I'm on my way to my daughter's wedding miss," Fred answered.
"That doesn't excuse you for driving the way you were," Jasmine said.
"No it doesn't miss, but can you hurry this up? I'm supposed to be officiating the ceremony," Fred said.
Jasmine recalled that Mark told her Lisa's father was going to officiate their ceremony and as much as she wanted to attend, the shift commander assigned her to work today. "Who's your daughter?" Jasmine asked.
"My daughter's name is Lisa Ericsson miss," Fred answered.
"Thought so. Mr Ericsson, I'm going to give you an escort to their wedding. Your daughter is marrying my partner and friend. I can't have my friend's wedding ruined because his father-in-law can't drive? Wait here for me to pull in front of you, then stay on my tail. Understand?" Jasmine asked.
"I understand miss," Fred said and after Jasmine walked back to her car, he said to his wife, "I have never seen an officer like her before."
After Jasmine slipped behind the wheel of her car, she buckled herself into her seat, and said, "Won't Mark be surprised when I deliver his father-in-law to his wedding."
Jasmine pulled ahead of Fred and Adrienne, and waited for him to put his car back in gear so he could follow her to the wedding.
She looked into the rear view mirror and when she noticed his right paw left the gear shift lever, she flipped the lights back on and took off towards the wedding chapel with Fred trying desperately to keep up with her driving.
Kevin scanned the attendees and his eyes fell on one of the most beautiful she-cats he had ever seen in his life. Between her platinum blonde hair, her light fur coloring, decent sized chest, and her long legs, he thought he was looking at a goddess. Kevin went over to his brother, tapped him on the shoulder, and asked, "Who is the blonde in the slinky grey dress in the second row?"
Mark turned his head to see which blonde she-cat Kevin was referring to. When he saw he was talking about Felicia, he cautiously answered, "Her name is Felicia Harrison Kevin, but be careful. She is quite capable of taking care of herself, in quite deadly ways I might add."
"What are you talking about Mark?" Kevin asked as he stared at her legs, peeking through the long slit in the left side of her dress.
"She my dear brother is a tenth degree black belt as well as the new owner of Dojo Saito. Plus she works with her father and grandfather making some of the most amazing swords and weaponry I have ever seen. I actually wouldn't be surprised if she's not armed to the teeth right now," Mark answered.
"Really, beauty and brains rolled into a tight grey package. I think I can deal with that," Kevin said.
Mark grabbed Kevin by the shoulders, peered into his brother's eyes, then said, "Felicia is not like Sharon Kevin. If you hurt her the way you hurt Sharon, she'll come after you and probably kill you faster than you could apologize. Plus she is family to me and you don't mess with my family, period! If you decide to try to date her, you had better be serious about the relationship. I don't want to be called out to retrieve the parts of your body after she is done with you."
Kevin gulped then focused on her eyes. "I promise, I will not treat her like I treated Sharon. I was a stupid fool to throw her away the way I did. One day I hope to be strong enough to face her and apologize for the way I treated her and hope she will forgive me. I want to be friends with Sharon again, that is if she will let me."
Mark let his brother go as he said, "Sharon is a very forgiving she-cat. Give her time and she might forgive you for being such a jerk to her."
Lisa didn't see her parents anywhere in the hall or the chapel. She was starting to get nervous that they might not show at all.
Tina sensed Lisa's nervousness and went over to her. She placed a comforting paw on her shoulder and said, "Hey sis, your getting married to the tom who loves you more than anything in the world. There is no reason to be nervous."
"My parents are not here yet Tina," Lisa said. "My father is supposed to be officiating. If he is not here, there will not be a wedding."
As Tina took her paw back, she said, "Then as your Bride's maid, I'm going to go and find them for you. I won't have my sister's wedding ruined because her parents are not in attendance."
"You would do that for me?" Lisa asked.
"In a heart beat dear sister!" Tina responded. "Besides, Katerina and I are going to need to borrow your husband and his brothers to help us move into our new house when you get back from your honeymoon. That is if he can lift his tail after you come back."
Lisa cheeks blushed with a even deeper scarlet than the makeup she already had on with Tina's brazenness. However, she also knew that she planned on spending as much time with her new husband in the bedroom as much as possible while on their honeymoon.
Tina giggled at Lisa as she blushed before she started to turn around and head back to the Bride's Maid's rooms to change into her street clothes.
But before she got too far, she heard a siren pulling up to the hall. Tina opened the door and saw a newer Enforcer patrol car pull up with some sort of cheap rental car right behind it.
Jasmine parked her patrol car right behind Alice's limousine and got out.
Fred and Adrienne parked their rental right behind Jasmine and got out of their car. "I don't know how to thank you miss." Fred said.
"It was nothing Mr Ericsson," Jasmine replied. "I want my partner happy and your daughter definitely makes him happy."
"I didn't want her dating him at first. All of that leather and a motorcycle gave me a very bad feeling about him. But then I saw how Lisa acted around him and how she lit up when he was around her and something told me that Mark was the one for my daughter," Fred said.
"That would have been me, my dear husband!" Adrienne interjected.
"And you were right, as always my dear," Fred said. He went over to his wife, took her right paw in his, then asked, "Shall we head inside so I can marry my daughter to the tom she loves?"
"Yes we shall," Adrienne said.
All three of them went inside and Fred went to take his place at the altar.
"What happened Mr. Ericsson?" Mark asked after his father-in-law took his place.
"My frugalness backfired. Are you ready to marry my daughter?" Fred asked.
"I have been ready to marry her for a very long time," Mark answered.
"Then let's get you married, son," Fred said before he nodded to the organist.
He started playing the pre-wedding march.
Sally and Larry heard the organ and Sally said to Sarah, "I think you should be in the back room with your friends."
"You're right mom!" Sarah said as she got up from her seat. She kissed her mother and father before running to the back and grabbing a basket of rose petals.
Sarah quickly joined her friends behind the door separating the hall from the main chapel. She hugged each and everyone of her sisters, then said, "I wish Ulysses and Callista could have been here to see you get married Lisa."
"So do I Sarah. However, I know they are with us one way or another. Ready to lead us down the aisle?" Lisa asked.
"Yes!" Was all the young kitten could reply before she turned around and faced the white double doors.
A pair of ushers on the other side opened the doors, revealing Sarah who was wearing a sky blue dress with matching lace adorning the sleeves and the hemline of the dress. She started marching down the aisle, spreading the petals from her basket in front of her.
Tina leaned to Katerina and whispered, "She is so adorable."
"Yes she is, do you think she will want to be the flower girl at our wedding too?" Katerina asked.
"I'm sure she will, its our turn. Let's go," Tina said and started marching right along side of Katerina down the aisle.
They were soon followed by Callie.
Chance looked at his fiancée and how even more beautiful she became the further along her pregnancy progressed. He smiled and stood a little straighter the longer he looked at his future bride.
"Take it easy Chance, your leg is still healing. Don't you want to dance with her at the reception?" Jake asked.
"More than anything buddy," Chance replied without removing his eyes from Callie.
She made it mid-way down the aisle when Felina started her march.
Now it was Jake's turn to be in awe at the beauty of his future bride.
Chance gave him a gentle shove with his right elbow, and said, "Now who's the one who's awestruck?"
Jake didn't even reply. He was too focused on Felina as she marched down the aisle.
The doors closed as the Bride's maids took their positions at the altar.
Lisa took a deep breath to calm her nerves as she thought, 'This is it. After a half and hour, I will be Lisa Samuelson! I'm so excited! I'm finally going to be Mark's wife!'
An usher came up beside of her and asked, "Are you ready to get married?"
"More than ready," Lisa replied.
He extended his right arm to her, then said, "Then allow me the pleasure of walking the beautiful bride down the aisle."
Lisa slipped her left arm through his, smiled at the usher, then faces the doors.
The organist, stopped playing for a second, then started playing the wedding march.
Everyone in the audience stood and faced the doors at the rear of the chapel.
The doors opened, revealing Lisa in her Princess cut wedding gown and Mark's mouth fell open.
Sean leaned around Kevin and said to Mark, "Bro, you are drooling."
Mark closed his mouth and said to his brother, "So what? She looks like an angel."
Lisa approached the altar and after the usher separated himself from her, she took her place right next to Mark.
Mark and Lisa faced each other and Mark mouthed to her, "You look so beautiful, I love you."
Lisa silently giggled for a second before facing her father.
"Dearly beloved. We are gathered here today to bear witness to the holy union of Officer Mark Samuelson and my daughter Officer Lisa Ericsson." Fred started saying but he stopped and looked at his daughter for a second, then said, "When Lisa brought home Mark to meet us for the first time, my wife and I only saw a tom dressed in black leather, riding a loud motorcycle. We didn't see the tom under all of that leather and how much he truly cared for our daughter. Eventually, he won us over and with the help of my loving wife, hitting me on the back of the head a few times, I began to see him as the tom who eventually was going to marry my daughter. Seeing my daughter's and my future son-in-law's faces right now, tells me that their marriage is going to last for all eternity."
Lisa started to cry but Mark saw her eyes glistening with tears and quickly pulled out a handkerchief from his jacket and wiped her eyes.
Fred saw the tiny motion and almost started to tear up himself, but he held himself together, then said, "Now that you all listened to the father of the bride state his peace, if anyone has an objection to these two joining in matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace."
Felina scanned the audience with a deep scowl on her face, letting the audience know if someone opened their mouth, she was going to put her fist in it to shut them up.
Callie noticed Felina's death glare at the audience, and pinched her tail, hard.
As Felina jumped, Callie said, "Stop threatening the audience Felina."
"It's my job to make sure these two get married, and I'm going to do it MY way," Felina stated.
Fred cleared his throat, then continued, "Will the bride and the groom face each other."
Lisa and Mark faced each other and took the others paws.
"Mark Samuelson, do you take Lisa Ericsson, to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, in sickness, and in health, for richer or for poorer, forsaking all others, till death do you part?"
Mark just looked down into Lisa's eyes, smiled at her for a second, then replied, "I do."
"Lisa Ericsson, do you take Mark Samuelson to be your lawfully wedded husband? To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, forsaking all others, till death do you part?"
Lisa's eyes started watering again as she listened to her father's words and on trembling breath, she said, "I do."
"Kevin, may I have the rings please," Fred asked.
Kevin stepped around Mark and reached into his jacket pocket to pull out a dark red velvet covered box. He handed the box to Fred and took his place again.
Fred opened the box and presented it to Mark, then said, "Mark, please take the smaller ring and placed it on my daughter's finger."
Mark lifted the gold band from the box, took Lisa's paw in his, and slipped the ring on her finger.
"With this ring," Fred said.
"With this ring," Mark replied.
"I thee wed,"
"I thee wed," Mark replied.
Fred turned slightly to his daughter, then said, "Lisa, my daughter, please take the larger ring and slip it on his finger.
Lisa lifted the large gold band from the box, took Mark's large paw in her small delicate one, and slipped the ring on his finger.
"With this ring,"
"With this ring," Lisa replied.
"I thee wed,"
"I thee wed," Lisa replied as her tears started falling freely from her eyes.
"By the power invested in me, I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride," Fred said.
Mark lifted the veil from her face, peered down into her eyes, then said, "I love you Lisa Samuelson." He then kissed her very passionately right in front of the entire audience.
Everyone if the audience stood and applauded as the newly wedded couple kissed.
Eventually, they stopped kissing and Mark swept her up in his arms to carry her back down the aisle. At he end of the aisle, he stopped, faced the audience again, and kissed her.
A lone she-cat in a dark robe got up from her seat and left the chapel through a side door so she wouldn't be seen. She turned around in time to see the bride and the groom, leave the chapel and get into the awaiting limo before she said, "My lord wishes you both a long and very happy marriage." She chuckled for a second, then said, "Your four kittens are going to try your patience according to my lord. But fret not, all four of them are going to grow up big and strong as well as take over your positions as protectors of this city."
Amelia lowered her robe to the ground, revealing her marvelous wings, and took off back to the heavens, completing her task.
