I'm traveling this week. However, I'm posting this chapter plus chapter three of Mom Comes to Visit.

MisaRae, I'll call you when I finally land.

Welcome aboard Arizonawriterguy. Sit back and enjoy your flight.

Everyone waked over towards Katerina's and Tina's new house. The couples walked paw-in-paw with the exception of Tina and Katerina. They had their paws tightly wrapped around their daughter's paws.

The group wandered past a house with a large wrap around porch and a large flower garden.

"Felina," Tina said.

"Yes Tina, what is it?" Felina asked.

Tina fished a key from her pocket, handed it to Felina, and asked, "Can you let everyone into our house? There is someone who lives here that is going to want to meet Gwendlyn."

Felina took the key from Tina, looked at the house, then said, "I'll be more than happy to Tina." She closed the distance between them and whispered, "You and Katerina are going to be great parents to Gwendlyn. I'm proud of both of you."

As Felina righted herself, Tina asked, "Why would adopting Gwendlyn make you proud of us Felina?"

"When you told me the name of the kitten you were adopting on the phone, I quickly did some research and came up with a long story on her. You already know her history with the Black Diamonds and how her parents were killed so I don't have to tell you that. What made me proud of both of you is you looked past her history and saw the wonderful little girl beneath the surface. Not many would even think of adopting a kitten with such a checkered past, but both of you opened your home as well as your hearts to her. That is what makes me proud to call you both not only two of the best officers on the force, but two of my best friends, if not family as well," Felina answered.

Tina and Katerina wiped a stray tear away from their eyes, then Tina said, "Why Felina, despite that the other cadets saying you are cold heartless she-cat that is stubborn as a mule, you do have a large heart beating in your chest."

Felina chuckled for a second then said, "Yes I do have a heart Tina. But I am a cold she-cat that is stubborn as a mule who is going to whip my cadets into the best officers there have ever been, even if it kills them. Go and visit this cat and take your time. I'll let our family into your home."

"Thank you dear sister," Tina said before she picked up Gwendlyn in her arms, then asked, "Care to meet one of the sweetest she-cats on the planet Gwendlyn?"

"Yes mommy I want to meet her," Gwendlyn answered.

Tina hugged her tight for a second as she buried her face into the kitten's shoulder. 'This is my daughter and I love her.' She thought before she let go of her ever so slightly, looked into Gwendlyn's eyes, then said, "Let's go and meet Mrs. Fredericks. She is going to love you."

They said 'So Long' to their friends before the three females opened the white picketed gate separating the walkway leading to the porch from the sidewalk and entered.

Katerina closed the gate and caught up to Tina and Gwendlyn. She grasped Gwendlyn's paw in hers as they walked up the stairs leading to the porch decking.

Tina put Gwendlyn down and grasped her paw before she wrapped on the window pane on Mrs. Fredericks' front door.

A minute later, Mrs. Fredericks came to the front door, opened it, and her face lit up. "Tina, Katerina, what brings you here? Please come inside and take a seat," she said.

"Mrs. Fredericks, we would like you to meet someone very special to us. Please meet our daughter, Gwendlyn," Tina said.

Mrs. Fredericks lowered her eyes to the young kitten beside Tina and Katerina. She saw Gwendlyn's shiny black fur, her long black curls of hair, and her strikingly beautiful gold eyes. "Aren't you beautiful Gwendlyn. Welcome to my home, please come inside and have some fresh lemonade while we get to know each other better." She said.

The four of them walked through the house and onto the back porch.

Katerina and Tina politely excused themselves and returned to the kitchen in order to get the lemonade from the counter as well as four glasses.

"Please tell me child, why would such a beautiful girl like yourself be up for adoption?" Mrs. Fredericks asked Gwendlyn.

"My mommy and daddy were killed by the Black Diamonds because they could not pay them money Mrs. Fredericks," Gwendlyn answered while playing with her hair.

Mrs. Fredericks heard of such atrocious behavior before but had never experienced it first hand, especially hearing about it from a little girl. She quickly wanted to change the mood into something positive and light. She asked, "How old are you Gwendlyn?"

"About six Mrs. Fredericks, why?" Gwendlyn asked.

"If you like, I have a library full of books that if you want, you can read every single one, just like your new mommy did when she was your age. Plus, I have a huge flower garden that could use some tender loving care from someone like you," Mrs. Fredericks said.

Gwendlyn's face lit up as soon as she realized she could finally do two of the things she adored more than anything. Read and plant flowers! She left her seat and went over to hug Mrs. Fredericks as hard as she could. "Thank you Mrs. Fredericks!"

"You're welcome Gwendlyn," Mrs. Fredericks said as she embraced Gwendlyn. She pulled back then asked, "You know, your mommy used to call me her grandma when she was your age. Would you like to call me that as well?"

"If you don't mind?"

"I'd love it granddaughter," Mrs. Fredericks said as she hugged Gwendlyn again.

Tina and Katerina returned from the kitchen and saw Mrs. Fredericks and Gwendlyn in a tight embrace.

"See, I told you they would be hugging each other by the time we got back Kat," Tina said as she set the glasses down on the small table by the chairs.

Katerina set the pitcher of lemonade down next to the glasses, then put her right arm around Tina as she watched the two newfound friends.

"What did you two talk about why Kat and I were in the kitchen Gwendlyn?" Tina asked.

Gwendlyn turned her head and body to face Tina and Katerina, then answered, "Grandma told me I could come here and read all of her books as well as plant with her!"

Tina went over to her, crouched down, and asked, "She did? I vaguely remember another kitten doing the same thing when she was your age. I wonder who that kitten was?" She mocked with a smile on her face.

Gwendlyn left Mrs. Fredericks' lap and ran over to Tina then embraced her around her neck. "That kitten was you mommy!"

Tina encircled her arms around Gwendlyn's waist, then said, "You're right! It was me!" She kissed Gwendlyn on the nose which caused the young kitten to giggle, then Tina said, "Mrs. Fredericks will teach you a lot about gardening Gwendlyn, just like she taught me."

"You were an apt pupil, who loved getting her paws dirty in my flower beds," Mrs. Fredericks said.

Tina turned her head to face Mrs. Fredericks, then said, "You are a great teacher Mrs. Fredericks, Gwendlyn is going to love her time here, just like I did."

Katerina finished pouring the four glasses full of the ice cold lemonade when she heard a knock on Mrs. Fredericks' front door. "Would you mind if I found out who is at your door so you don't have to get up Mrs. Fredericks?" Katerina asked.

"Thank you Katerina," she replied.

Katerina excused herself and walked through the house to the front door. She looked out of the pane of glass to see Gary and Meridyth standing on the front porch with an older model sedan with four younger toms, dressed in gang's clothing on the other side of the street, watching the house. Katerina opened the door, and said, "Tina, Gwendlyn, and Mrs. Fredericks are on the back porch. Please head on back. I'll be there in a minute."

Gary noticed the concerned look on Katerina's face and turned around to see what had her so concerned. He too noticed the sedan, then said, "Meridyth, go on in, Katerina and I will be back in a few minutes. He guided his wife inside the house, closed the door, then said, "Care to find out who those toms are before we sort of tell them to leave our family alone Kat?"

"Da father," Katerina responded.

Gary left the porch first and ran around the corner so he could surprise the toms by approaching from the other side of the car while Katerina took the direct approach and walked right up to the driver.

She leaned forward resting her forearms on the window sill, and asked, "Why are you four watching her house?"

"There is a little girl in there that we were sent to check on," The driver said before he reached for the gear shift, put the car in drive, and said, "Now if you will excuse us."

Katerina reached inside of the car and snatched the keys out of the ignition so they could not leave.

"Why the hell would you do that bitch! Give me back the keys!" The driver shouted.

"You'll get them back once I have said what I want punk and you had better listen good! Gwendlyn is now my daughter and she wants nothing to do with your little gang," Katerina said before her face scrunched down in determination and said, "Leave her alone or your gang will be dealing with a force like you have never seen before and I'm not talking about the Enforcers either!"

The driver got out and confronted Katerina, but since he was slightly smaller than her, she was able to look down at him and try to use her height as an advantage. "That little bitch needs to keep her mouth shut to the cops or your little family will pay dearly for her loose lips!"

Gary arrived in time to see the front passenger remove a small revolver from the waistband of his pants. He reached into the car, grabbed the gun as well as the gun's owner, and said as he sneered into his face, "Did you not hear my daughter telling your friend to leave our family alone! Or do I have to reinforce what she said with my fists?" To accentuate his statement, he grabbed the car's mirror and snapped it off with his bare paw, then crushed it into a wad of metal. "I suggest you all leave, and I mean now and if I see you around here again, the mirror will not be the only thing crushed by me! Do you all understand?!"

Before the driver could return to his car, Katerina grabbed him and spat into his face, "My daughter is not a Little Bitch! And if you or your little gang calls her that again, it will be the last thing you all will ever do!" She shoved the driver to the car, spread her legs open, and rested her weight on her right hip with her arms crossed under her chest and her tail flicking behind her very aggressively.

The driver got into the car and Katerina threw him the keys. They could not get out of there fast enough.

Gary walked over to Katerina, twirling the gun on his finger, he said, "That was interesting. Who were they?"

"They are known as the Black Diamonds and they are after my daughter," Katerina answered.

"What are we going to do about them Kat? I'm not about to let them get their paws on Gwendlyn period!" He said as he put the gun in his waistband."

Katerina knew that SWAT could not watch over Gwendlyn while they are going to be dealing with The Society. She made a decision that she would hopefully not regret. Katerina closed her stance, then asked, "Do you have your phone and does it make international calls?"

Gary handed her his phone as he asked, "Who are you calling Kat?"

"An old associate of mine," Katerina said as she dialed.

The phone rang twice and Katerina was greeted with, "Da, who is this?" A she-cat's voice said in Katerina's native tongue.

"It's Belikov, I need help protecting my family Sergeant," Katerina answered.

"What do you need of us Commander? We stand at the ready to serve you," she said.

"That is what I expect of you Sergeant. How long before a small squadron can be assembled in MegaKat city?" Katerina asked.

"Two days max Commander," the Sergeant answered. "Might I ask a question Commander?"

"Da,"

"You mentioned your family, since when do you have a family Commander?" The Sergeant asked.

"Since today Sergeant. I've adopted a little girl, she's the one I want protected at all costs. Do I make myself clear Sergeant!?" Katerina asked.

"Crystal. Seven of us will be arriving at MegaKat International Airport in two days time. You know, this will be costly?" The Sergeant said.

"I will pay whatever to keep my daughter safe Sergeant!" Katerina said.

"Just as long as we understand each other Commander. See you in two days time," the Sergeant said before she disconnected the call.

Katerina handed the phone back to Gary, then said, "My associate will be here with six of my best fighters with her."

Gary put his right paw on Katerina's shoulder, then asked, "Katerina, I love you as a daughter but between the Black Diamonds and now your associates, I'm nervous for my family's sake. Who is that cat you were on the phone with and what was that language you were speaking in?"

Katerina had to come clean to Gary if he was going to trust her to keep everyone safe from the Black Diamonds while she and the rest of SWAT dealt with David and The Society. She answered, "Do you remember a she-cat with the name of Turmoil?"

"She and her crew tried to take over the skies of MegaKat City if I remember correctly, what about her?"

"She is me dad, I was Turmoil and the she-cat I was on the phone with is my Sergeant back home. She is going to assemble six of my most elite fighters and come here to protect my family by any means necessary," Katerina said.

Gary peered down at Katerina who looked back up at her adoptive father, refusing to back down for anything. "I think you, my wife, Tina, and myself need to have a little talk after Gwendlyn goes to bed tonight my daughter."
