I'm back, sort of. This chapter wanted out in the worse way.

Thank you my dearest Co-Author for joining me on this wild ride. Now, go pet that Plot Bunny you told me about and let it tell you its story.

Finally, welcome aboard Wolfrider300 and caedwards. Sit back and enjoy your flight.

Adonis put the kitten back after Pirouette turned her back to him and walked out of the nursery. He kissed the kitten, then said, "I'll see you soon little one." And left the nursery to follow his wife.

The ride back to the lair was a complete buzz with chatter from the rest of the group while Adonis and Pirouette sat in silence.

"So what if I want to adopt that boy Lisa," Mark said.

Lisa ripped off her mask and faced her husband before saying, "I'm going to give birth to OUR child in a few months Mark! Why do you feel the need to be a father now and why that particular kitten?"

"Lisa, even though I held the twins earlier, I didn't feel anything for them despite how cute they were. But when I held him, I actually felt something. He felt so good having him in my arms and when he touched my face, I didn't want to put him down. We connected and it hurt me to have to leave him, knowing he might not be there if I go back," Mark answered.

"Mark, please think about this hard. Having two infants at the same tome is going to be very difficult for both of us. Once we get one down for the night, the other might be up, ready to play. Plus feeding, all of the changes of diapers, and other things that infants need to have done for them. I'm happy that you want to be a father Mark, but channel that energy and enthusiasm into our un-born child please," Lisa pleaded as she grasped his paws within hers.

Mark took his paws back and faced the window for the rest of the trip.

Lisa trembled, thinking she hurt her husband. She reached out with her left paw and lightly touched his left shoulder. Which caused Mark to pull away from her. She turned away from him and looked over to Marissa, silently asking for help.

Marissa scrunched up her face, got out of her seat, and sat behind Mark. She leaned forward in her seat so she could whisper into Mark's right ear and said, "Lisa is really upset, please talk to her."

"Marissa, please sit down and mind your own business," he responded without removing his gaze from the window.

That caused Caliber to turn around in her seat, glare at Mark, then barked, "What's your problem Mark!?"

Mark whipped his head around to face Caliber and said, "My problem is that I want what every other tom that has kids already has Caliber! I want to hold my child in my arms! I want to care for him! And I want to have him love me! Is that so wrong to want to give my love to a child who has no one!"

"And you will have that Mark! In a few months, Lisa is going to give birth to Your first child! Then you will have all of those things!" Caliber spat in response.

"And what about that kitten Caliber? Doesn't he deserve to have a family!?" Mark asked as he stood in the aisle.

Caliber was now out of her seat and in Mark's face. "Yes he does! But why does it have to be yours!?"

"You just don't get it!" Mark yelled and as he walked towards the front of the Turbo Fortress, he said, "Stop this thing, I'm getting off!"

T-Bone simply said, "I think you had better sit down Mark and talk to your wife."

"She had made her position known on the subject T-Bone. So stop this thing now or I'm going to hit you so hard, Callie is going to have to look for your face in the next county," Mark growled.

T-Bone pulled over, released his seatbelt, and got into Mark's face. Through a growl, he said, "I'd like to see you try."

"Mark! Chance! Stop this now!" Tina yelled. "We are a family for crying out loud! Families don't threaten each other!"

"Then maybe, I'm not part of this family," Mark said as he opened the side door and left.

Katerina was on her feet instantly, kissed Tina, then said, "Stay with Lisa, I'm going to talk some sense into our brother." She left and ran after Mark.

Tina crouched down next to Lisa, then said, "I've never seen Mark act the like that before. Are you alright Lisa?"

"I don't know Tina. Mark and I never had a fight before,"Lisa said on the verge of tears.

Tina hugged Lisa tightly, then said, "Katerina will talk some sense into him, or beat some sense into him that is."

Katerina caught up to Mark, grabbed his right arm, and spun him around to face him. "Talk to me Mark, what is going on?"

Mark sat down on the stoop of a building, looked down at the sidewalk, then said, "Holding that baby felt so right Katerina. What's so wrong about wanting to give him a good home?"

Katerina sat next to him, wrapped her right arm around his broad shoulders, leaned into him, and said, "There is nothing wrong with wanting to give a kitten a good home Mark. Tina and I did; and our lives are so much richer with Gwendlyn in it."

Mark placed his left arm around Katerina, then said, "I simply want to give him a good and loving home, I think I love him already Katerina. I felt like I was holding my own child."

"That tells me you are going to be one of the best fathers that ever lived Mark," Katerina said. "You really upset Lisa back there."

"I know, I'll talk to her when I get home tonight. Speaking of getting home, how are we getting back to the hangar?"

T-Bone pulled into the hangar and shut the Turbo Fortress off. He turned around and saw his fiancée, Caliber, Sniper, Sure-Shot, and Razor comforting Pirouette. "I'm sorry for trying to start a fight with Mark."

"It wasn't you Chance, Mark really upset Lisa and apparently this was their first fight," Callie said.

"Maybe he is right and I should let him adopt that kitten," Lisa said.

"Lisa, do you have any idea the amount of work that will be required with two infants at the same time?" Tina asked.

"I do. But seeing Mark's face all lit up when he held that kitten makes me think it might be worth it to see him like that again," Lisa answered.

"Do you want to adopt another infant this close to the birth of your child Lisa?" Callie asked.

"I don't know Callie," Lisa answered. She lifted her head to face Callie, then asked, "How are you going to handle three babies at once?"

"I'm not sure myself Lisa. My girls are also sorceresses. I have no idea what to expect. What I do know, Chance and I are going to love them no matter what happens," Callie said.

"Lisa, I was an only child until my parents adopted Rolf. I didn't think I would like being a little sister, until Rolf stood up for me when no one else in my school would. I love him and I can't see my life without Rolf in my life," Marissa said.

"Are you suggesting that I should let Mark adopt the kitten?" Lisa asked.

"Not at all, I only told you my experience. Only you and Mark can make that decision, and it's a big one," Marissa responded.

Lisa looked over to Caliber, then asked, "Can you take me home please? I don't feel like driving or being alone right now."

"Sure thing Lisa. Mind is Jake comes along?" Caliber asked.

"I figured you two were inseparable anyway so I don't mind at all," Lisa answered as she stood up. Then the baby gave her a firm kick, causing her to double over.

"Are you alright Lisa," Tina asked as she rested her right paw on Lisa's left shoulder.

"Fine, I think. This one is going to be as strong as its father. I wish Mark was here to feel the kitten kick," Lisa somberly said.

"Katerina will straighten him out Lisa, I promise," Tina said.

Everyone returned back to their homes and turned in for the night.

Lisa couldn't sleep without her husband lying next to her, keeping her warm and having his strong body pressed into hers. She kept tossing and turning until she opened her eyes, looked at the space that should occupy her husband, and said, "Please come home soon Mark, I love you and need you. If you want to adopt that kitten that badly, I'll acquiesce. We will be perfect parents to him." She finally closed her eyes for the night, not without shedding a few tears first.

Mark arrived back home in a taxi, leaving Katerina in the cab to take her back home. After he got out of the cab, he leaned into the window of the cab and said to Katerina, "Thank you Kat, I needed you more than I knew."

Katerina pulled him to her and kissed him. She pulled back and said, "You're welcome, big brother."

"Why did you kiss me Kat?" Mark asked.

"Tina told me how good of a kisser you were and I couldn't help myself. Bye," she responded before the cab left Mark on the curb.

"You're not that bad of a kisser either Katerina," Mark said as he watched the cab disappear from sight.

He turned and looked at the front door of his house he shared with Lisa for a second before walking to the door.

Mark entered his home, took off his boots, then proceeded upstairs to their bedroom. He opened the door and his eyes fell upon his wife. Mark choked as soon as he realized she had been crying. This did not sit well with him at all. He promised himself and her that she would never cry over something he did. He broke that promise and that was something he could not forgive himself for. Mark went over to Lisa's side of the bed, brushed her hair away from her face, then kissed her briefly before he said, "I'm so sorry Lisa. I never meant to hurt you."

As he rose back to his feet, Lisa's grabbed his arm. "Don't go, please," she said.

Mark got up, quickly undressed, and got into bed. Just as soon as he covered himself, Lisa rested her head on his chest and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Mark held onto his wife tightly and said, "I've got you my angel, I broke my promise to you and I will never do it again." He looked down at Lisa and noticed she was soundly asleep and allowed himself to fall asleep himself. However, he kept dreaming about him, Lisa, and the little baby boy, happily playing in the backyard.

The next morning, Mark woke up in the same position he fell asleep in. He gently lifted Lisa from his chest and even more gently put her down on the bed. After he slipped out from under the covers, he made sure Lisa was completely covered, keeping her warm before he went over to the bathroom to shower up and change for his shift.

Mark and Jasmine were in the middle of their morning patrol. He blew off Roll Call so he didn't have to listen to Felina giving him crap about the fight he had with Lisa. They answered a few minor calls as well a foiling a robbery in progress. However, Mark handled that last call with a little more exuberance than he should have; which left the perpetrator with a broken arm.

Jasmine didn't know Mark that long, but since she became his partner, she knew him almost as well as Lisa did. "Mark, what's going on?" She asked. "I've never seen you go so far as to really hurt someone."

Mark continued driving, ignoring Jasmine's question.

She huffed, folded her arms over her chest, and returned her gaze to the windshield. Then said, "Fine, you don't want to tell me what's going on, then you can deal with the Lieutenant by yourself."

"Jasmine, its personal. I really don't want to talk about it please," Mark responded.

A few minutes later, Mark pulled into the hospital's parking lot and parked the patrol car.

"Why are we here Mark?" Jasmine asked.

"I need to see someone Jasmine, please wait for me in the car, ok?" Mark said as he undid his seatbelt and opened the car door.

"Alright, I'll wait here," Jasmine said. But after Mark walked into the hospital, she said, "For now."

Mark walked over to the Main Reception desk and waited to be helped.

A nurse lifted her head to see an Enforcer standing at her station. "Can I help you?" She asked.

"Yes, I want to see a friend in the Nursery please," Mark answered.

"Are you a family member?" She asked.

"I might be, if my wife agrees to going ahead with the adoption miss,"

"Oh," she said as she typed the name that was on Mark's badge into the computer. After a second, a paper ID tag printed out and she handed it to him. "Good luck."

"Thank you miss," Mark said before he went over to the elevators. He summoned a car and waited for the car to arrive. The car arrived and the doors opened. Mark stepped inside and pushed the button for the fifth floor.

The doors opened revealing a very brightly painted hallway along with the sounds of crying newborn kittens. Mark's face instantly lit up and he left the elevator and went to change into a pair of scrubs.

Jasmine was starting to wonder what happened to her partner. She got out of the patrol car and went into the hospital and right over to the Reception Desk and came to face the same nurse that help Mark. "Hi, I'm looking for my partner. Any idea where he is?" She asked.

"I gave him a pass for the Nursery," the nurse replied.

"Thank you," Jasmine said before she headed towards the elevators.

Mark was already in a set of scrubs and holding the kitten who seemed to occupy most of his dreams. He was smiling from ear to ear while looking down at the little form in his arms. "I've got you little one. Hopefully, I can get my wife to see things my way and I can bring you home." He brought the kitten up to his face, then asked, "Would you like that? To come home with me and be my son?"

The kitten responded with a toothless smile and a giggle while reaching out to touch Mark's face.

"I'll take that as a yes," Mark said while bringing the kitten closer to him.

The kitten touched the fur on Mark's face and let out a cheerful sound.

Upon hearing the kitten, Mark brought the kitten in for a hug, then said, "I told my little sister that I think I love you. Well I was wrong, I love you already."

Jasmine left the elevator and walked over to the Nursery's window. She looked through the glass at the infants, then towards the back wall and saw a sight she was completely not prepared for. "What the heck is my partner holding?" She asked.

Mark turned around and saw his partner standing on the other side of the glass. "Oh great," he said. He walked over to the entrance of the Nursery, pushed open the door with his foot, and said, "I guess you have a ton of questions Jasmine."

"You bet I do Mark. But number one, who is this completely adorable little guy?" Jasmine asked.

Mark lowered his gaze to the kitten, then answered, "This little guy doesn't have a name yet. But I hope to be able to call him my son."

"Wait, what? I thought Lisa was still pregnant?" Jasmine asked while shaking her head.

"She is Jasmine. I want to adopt this kitten and call him mine," Mark said.

"That's so sweet of you Mark. Can I hold him?" Jasmine asked.

"I don't see why not," Mark said. He brought the kitten over to Jasmine and when he was close enough to her, he transferred the kitten into her waiting arms.

Jasmine cuddled the kitten in close to her body. She looked down at the tiny form she was holding, and said, "You could do a lot worse than having Mark as a father."

"Hey, that's not nice Jasmine," Mark said.

"And neither is keeping this a secret from your partner Mark," she said. "This is why we came to the hospital?" Jasmine asked.

"Yes, I simply can't keep away from this kitten. Can I have him back?" Mark asked.

"I guess," Jasmine responded as she handed Mark the kitten back.

"Daddy's got you," Mark said.

"Mark, I understand that you love him already. But aren't you stretching things a little far be calling him your son already?" Jasmine asked.

"I admit, calling him my son is a little presumptuous Jasmine. However, I can't see my life with out this boy in it."

A nurse entered and said, "As much as he likes you Mr. Samuelson, its time for his nap."

"Time for your nap," Mark said as he re-entered the Nursery and put the kitten back in his bassinet. He kissed the kitten's forehead, rose, and said, "I'll see you tomorrow."

As he left, the kitten started to cry. As much as Mark wanted to turn around and pick him back up again, he knew he shouldn't. He left the nursery and looked into the window at his future son, until the kitten fell asleep. It hurt him not to be able to console the kitten until he fell asleep in his arms.

"He looked so good in your arms Mark," Jasmine said.

"He feels good in my arms as well Jasmine," Mark said. "Let's go back to work."

The shift ended and the two returned to the lockers to change back into their street clothes.

Jasmine started heading to the lockers, but instead went upstairs to the Officer's floor. She went over to one of the Sergeants and asked, "Is Samuelson in her office?"

"Yep, you know where you are going Harper," the Sergeant said.

Jasmine went down the hall to Lisa's office. She knocked on the door and waited for a response.

Lisa was busier than ever. Being the Assistant to the Commander was harder than she thought it would be. She heard a knock on her door, then responded, "Come in."

Jasmine opened the door, entered, closed the door, then said, "Lisa, we have to talk."

"What's up Jasmine?" Lisa asked.

"Do you know what your husband does during his lunch break?" Jasmine asked.

"I assumed he ate with you,"

"Lisa, Mark is spending his lunch visiting a kitten he wants to adopt," Jasmine said.

"He's what?" Lisa surprisingly asked.

"Mark is going to the Nursery and holding that baby. He told me he's in love with him already. They look so good together, I think you should let him adopt the kitten," Jasmine said.

Lisa put the papers she was holding down, then said, "I simply don't understand my husband. He knows I'm pregnant and he will have his own child to hold and shower with affection in a few short months. What's with this kitten that has my rock of a husband turning into a mush?"

Jasmine approached her desk, then answered, "He loves him Lisa, he simply loves that boy."

Lisa held her head in her paws and asked, "What should I do? I want my husband to be happy, I just don't know if we can handle two infants at the same time."

"Lisa, I don't have to answer that. You already know what you have to do," Jasmine said as she started leaving her office. But as she reached for the doorknob, she said, "You both have so much love to give, I'm sure you both can handle two infants at the same time." She then left Lisa to contemplate what she said.

Lisa lifted her head from her paws, looked at the door, then said, "She's right, I do know what I have to do.

Mark stopped by the hangar to check out his Cyclotron as well as performing a pre-flight check on the TurboKat. He finished the pre-fight check, then closed up the hangar.

Lisa made it home before Mark did. She started making dinner for both of them. She finished just before Mark came through the door.

Mark opened the door and this amazing odor of hot food hit his nose. He went to the kitchen and saw Lisa, plating their dinner. "You are simply amazing dear," he said.

"Thank you Mark, please take a seat," Lisa said.

Mark sat down and placed a napkin in his lap.

Lisa sat down next to him and repeated his actions. Then said, "Jasmine stopped by my office today."

Mark stopped what he was doing, and waited for Lisa to either start yelling at him or something like telling him how irresponsible he was. "And, what did she tell you?"

"She told me what you are doing during your lunch break," Lisa answered. Then asked her own question, "How do you really feel about the kitten?"

Mark lowered his utensils to the table, then answered, "I love him Lisa. I truly love the little guy already."

"That's what I figured you would say. Why did you have to go see him in secret Mark? If you told me how you felt about him, we could have talked about it and I would have gone with you," Lisa said.

"Back in the Turbo Fortress, you made your position known quite well Lisa. Why would I think that you would come with me!?" Mark asked.

"Because I love you and I want you to be happy Mark!" She said. Before saying more softly, "If adopting him will make you happy, then let's adopt him."

"Are you serious Lisa?" He asked.

Lisa reached over to her husband, stoked his face, then answered, "Yes I am. Let's go and adopt him in the morning."

Mark got up out of his seat, crouched down next to Lisa, and before he kissed her, he said, "You have made me so happy, I love you so much, you are going to be a great mother."

"And you are going to be an awesome father," Lisa said before she kissed him.

They finished dinner while discussing about the kitten and what to possibly name him.

With dinner finished, they both cleaned up, quite playfully. Lisa did the dishes while Mark dried them. But this didn't go with out a little fun either. Lisa watched at Mark's massive muscles flexed in his white Polo shirt and wondered what he would look like in a wet T-Shirt. She turned the sprayer on him, soaking the shirt so his furred covered chest was on display through the material.

"Why did you soak me Lisa?" Mark asked, dripping water from his body.

"I always wondered what you would look like in a wet T-Shirt, now I know, and I love it," Lisa answered with her tail's movements clearly telling Mark she was getting aroused.

Mark went over to her, hugged her tightly, soaking her shirt and making it cling to her body, and stepped back. Lisa still looked gorgeous to him and her expanding stomach only enhanced the way she looked. Mark was now almost panting from simply looking at his wife.

"Is there something on my face?" Lisa asked after looking at Mark's lustful gaze.

Mark answered her by picking her up in his arms, kissing her, deeply, and carrying her upstairs to their bedroom.
