Chapter 1: Risky Advice

(Team Rocket's main headquarters)

Matori and several other Team Rocket grunts were standing by a loading dock for ships and boats to dock at. Matori was looking at her watch and seemed impatiently waiting.

Matori- What is taking so long. She was supposed to arrive with those supplies Giovanni ordered an hour ago!

Team Rocket grunt- Look, ma'am! There's the Tinkerbats' ship!

Then Matori saw Risky Boots' pirate ship arrive at the dock and her Tinkerbats were holding several boxes with Team Rocket's logo on them.

Risky Boots- Alright men, start unloading the cargo! But be careful not to drop any of those boxes or Giovanni might take it from our pay!

While the Tinkerbats were carrying those boxes off the ship, Matori approached Risky Boots.

Matori- Giovanni might dock your pay for the late delivery. You said you'd arrive with his order over an hour ago.

Risky Boots- Don't blame me! Blame it on that annoying half genie! Shantae spotted me smuggling those contrabands Giovanni asked for and I had to shake her off my trail! It would have been trouble if I lead her to this secret Team Rocket base and have her tell that twerp who's been causing your boss so much trouble.

Suddenly, stomping sound and yelling could be heard coming from upstairs in the base.

Matori- Oh dear…not this again…

Risky Boots- What's wrong?

Matori- Well…Giovanni has located a Poke'mon…but…

(Giovanni's office)

Giovanni was having a temper tantrum as he knocked over furniture in the room, stomped on the floor at hard as he could as he pasted the floor, and was yelling as loud as he could. Even his Persian was scared as it shook in terror under Giovanni's desk.

Giovanni- I can't let his opportunity slip, but I also know that nothing I currently have will work against him! I need to do something before he moves to a new location, but what?!

Just then, Giovanni noticed Risky Boots and Matori standing at the door to his office.

Giovanni- What are you doing here?!

Risky Boots- You were shouting so loud, everyone in the building could hear you.

Giovanni- (Clears his throat) Well, forgive my unpleasant behavior. You brought the contraband I asked for?

Matori- Yes. Her Tinkerbats are unloading it as we speak.

Giovanni- Fine. Then transfer the money to Risky's account so I can get back to figuring out how to fix this dilemma.

Risky Boots- And what would this dilemma be?

Giovanni- If you must know, I have managed to tack down the whereabouts of the legendary Poke'mon known as Mewtwo. Mewtwo is currently residing in an underground cave system in the north side of Kanto. The problem is I don't have any Poke'mon strong enough to handing Mewtwo in a battle nor do I have any weapon that I know Mewtwo won't take apart!

Risky Boots- You're this upset over one Poke'mon?

Matori- Mewtwo isn't just any Poke'mon. He is the single strongest of them all!

Giovanni- And with Mewtwo under my control, all the Poke'mon regions will be forced to bow to Team Rocket's rule. But this wouldn't be the first time I've attempted to capture Mewtwo. He has easily defeated every Poke'mon I've thrown at him and he's destroyed all the machines I've tried using to capture him! And if I don't come up with a plan soon, who knows when I'll be able to get another opportunity since I know Mewtwo won't stay in one place forever!

Risky Boots- A legendary Poke'mon…sounds just like…

Just then, an idea came to Risky Boots as she approached Giovanni.

Risky Boots- I think I might have your solution. Why not fight this legendary Poke'mon…with another legendary Poke'mon…

Giovanni looked at Risky Boots and raised one eyebrow.

Giovanni- What are you saying?

(At the beach near Pallet Town)

A pink squid with purple hair washed up on shore. As soon as it did, the cute looking squid transformed into Shantae.

Shantae- I can't believe I lost Risky Boots! But I wonder where I am?

As Shantae walked along the beach, she saw what looked like a Pikachu's tail underneath a boardwalk on the beach.

Shantae- That's strange.

So, Shantae walked over to where she saw the Pikachu's tail and looked underneath the boardwalk. What she saw was Ash and Pikachu laying underneath and looking like they were trying to hide from something.

Shantae- Uh…

Before she could say anything, Ash held his finger up to his mouth.

Ash- Shhhhhh…

Suddenly, the ground began to shake a little as the sound of a stampede was approaching. Shantae looked over and saw a swarm of girl that looked like they were Ash's age running all over the beach as if they were looking for someone. Eventually, they ran off and continued their search somewhere else.

Shantae- That was a little weird.

Ash- Is the coast clear, Shantae?

Shantae- Yes, Ash.

Ash and Pikachu crawled from underneath the boardwalk and began to stretch a bit.

Ash- What a relief! It was starting to get cramped down there.

Pikachu- Pikachu!

Shantae- What was that all about?

Ash- Well, I don't know if you've heard, but I've defeated Leon in the World Coronation Poke'mon League. Now that I've dethroned him, I'm now the World Champion of Poke'mon. As for them…they're what you would call fangirls.

Shantae- That would explain the stampede just now. And yes, I heard about your victory from Mario and Luigi. They told me while they were at a tavern in Toad Town, they had the television set to your battle with Leon and they watched as you and your Poke'mon battled Leon's.

Ash- Well anyway, what brings you to Kanto? I doubt you came here just to congratulate me becoming World Champion.

Shantae- There had been rumors that Risky had been smuggling illegal merchandise in and out of Sequen Land. I decided to tail her ship, but I got lost and ended up on this beach.

Ash- Hmm…you don't suppose whoever Risky Boots is selling that contraband to is here in the Kanto region?

Shantae- That would explain why her pirate ship would be sailing Kanto waters. Perhaps, Team Rocket?

Ash- Not sure. I haven't heard from Team Rocket since the Master's Eight Finals. Not even from the usual trio who I keep blasting off over and over again. To be honest, all I've been doing since the Master's Eight Finals was hiding from all the fangirls before I get mobbed!

Shantae- Well, I better get back to finding Risky Boots.

Ash- Maybe I should help you with that, Shantae. We are both part of the Super Mario Brothers' Team. And besides…you can protect me if the fangirls come back, right?

Then both Shantae and Pikachu placed their palms over their face at the same time
