75 Years Chapter 6
Author's Note: I do not own The Hunger Games
To many people in the Capitol, the 6th Hunger Games was one of those Games in which nothing of note really happened, and the use of the City Arena for the sixth time running was getting tiresome. There was talks around creating specially designed Arenas for future Games, however, creative differences between the Gamemakers in regards to what the Arena should look like terrain wise has put the project on hold, with further discussions to be held before the 7th Hunger Games.

Pre-Games:
A few days before the Games began, a windstorm blew around the stables where the Tributes were kept. One of the planks fell down, crushing two girls and a boy

Overnight, another Tribute died of injury from the plank
20th: Vincent Biden, District 5. Pre-Games. Complications of injury
The Games:
Like the Fifth Hunger Games, only twenty Tributes was left alive by the Games' start. Out of the twenty, only six would be left alive as the stronger Tributes picked off the "weaker" Tributes that was battling illness and injuries through ill-treatment. Ariadne Hopkins and Paris Curl, the District 2 Tributes, were the first to reach the Weapons Pile. Armed with an axe, Paris cleaved through the neck of a small boy from District 10
19th: Korden Baker, District 10. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Paris
Smirking, Paris cleaved the arms off another Tribute, leaving him to bleed to death
18th: Volts Shearon, District 3. Sixth Hunger Games. Blood loss
Meanwhile, Ariadne had speared through the back of another Tribute
17th: Nell Hawksworth, District 5. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Ariadne
The District 1 girl, Meredith St. Laurent, arrived at the weapons pile and started slaughtering the Tributes who tried to get close. Meredith picked up a bow and a quiver, and pulling an arrow out of the quiver, shot through the neck of a fleeing boy
16th: Malik Hammond, District 4. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Meredith
It wasn't long until Malik's District Partner fell, an arrow in her brain
15th: Briony Goram, District 4. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Meredith
Meredith then shot through the stomach of a boy from District 9, who had been frozen in fear since the start of the Games
14th: Graham Price, District 9. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Meredith
Armed with a throwing spear Paris, speared through two District 6 Tributes who were attempting to flee the carnage
13th: Josephine Knutsford, District 6. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Paris
12th: Cedric Armstrong, District 6. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Paris
Meanwhile, Ariadne had shoved a boy from District 11 onto the ground and began hacking at him
11th: Will Sinner, District 11. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Ariadne
Shortly after, Will's District Partner would end up dead, an axe in her back from Paris
10th: Katrielle Marshall, District 11. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Paris
With the field around the Weapons pile thinning out, Meredith spotted a trio of girls cornered on the end of the field. Grabbing her sword, she swiftly killed all three, one decapitated, another cut through and a third dying soon after
9th: Amber McCready, District 3. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Meredith
8th: Miriam McCulloch, District 7. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Meredith
7th: Natalie Devlin, District 10. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Meredith
On the other side of the Arena, in the former stands, Faith Dolman looked at a picture of her lover she had on her, her eyes filled with tears before going to sleep as night rolled in. Soon after, the air started to become chill and as Faith shivered, she slowly woke up. Staring at the centre of the Arena, towards the spot where her lover died two years earlier, and where his brother died a year later. Closing her eyes, she whispered "Harold" before her body froze in place.
6th: Faith Dolman, District 12. Sixth Hunger Games. Froze to death
The next day, Raihan Javeed and Johnathon Scott showed up at the Weapons Pile, hoping to kill at least the District 1 and 2 Tributes. However, the two younger boys were caught by Meredith, Ariadne and Paris, and in the melee that followed, the Games were brought to an end.
5th: Johnathon Scott, District 7. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Raihan (accidental), Meredith, Ariadne and Paris
4th: Meredith St. Laurent, District 1. Sixth Hunger Games, Killed by Ariadne, Paris and Raihan
3rd: Ariadne Hopkins, District 2. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Paris (accidental) and Raihan
2nd: Raihan Javeed, District 8. Sixth Hunger Games. Killed by Paris
1st: Paris Curl, District 2. Sixth Hunger Games. VICTOR
Paris collapsed in exhaustion as the Capitol doctors rushed in to treat the injured Tribute.
Aftermath:
Despite injuries, Paris returned to District 2 as the District's first Tribute. For many years, there was accusations that he killed his District Partner, however he has stated that it was an accident, and that he didn't mean to kill her. With his powerful build and his looks, Paris was the image of the quintessential "Career", to the point he has been dubbed the "Proto-Career", especially when more powerful District 2 Tributes began to Volunteer for the Games in the aftermath of the 11th Hunger Games; it was Paris' idea to establish an Academy in District 2. The scars Paris received during the fight remained with him for the rest of his life, and he refused to have them removed, stating that "They are a part of who he is". Paris would pass away after the 70th Hunger Games, becoming the penultimate male Victor born before the Dark Days and the Treaty of Treason to die. His children would become Hunger Games Victors, and his great-grandson Cato Harris would become the final Tribute to die in the 74th Hunger Games. Paris' Games, like the Games from the first decade, would soon be forgotten as Dr. Gaul had wiped all copies of these Games after the 10th Hunger Games. Below is Dr. Gaul's thoughts on the Sixth Hunger Games:
We really need to deal with the problem of Tributes dying before the Games start, as it's getting too much now. Nine Tributes dead before the Games? I think moving the Tributes to a more stable location would be ideal.
The Sixth Hunger Games would go down as "One of the least interesting Games in history" due to the fact most of the field was wiped out in the early stages.
This was the second-shortest Hunger Games on record, lasting forty two hours in total
So that's the Sixth Hunger Games. I have written a bit about Faith in a WIP. Paris was going to have a different name at one point. I love the idea that Paris and his sister Hestia would start up a Career Academy in District 2. The first actual Career would emerge in the 12th Hunger Games. Paris has a POV in a WIP called Different Perspectives
