Callie was on her back, panting, chest rising up and down, so mesmerising, so exquisite, that Arizona momentarily forgot where she was. She was expertly up straight, resting her weight on one knee and receiving support by way of a strategically placed pillow on the opposite side. Callie's left leg was resting up against her shoulder, running perfectly perpendicular to Arizona's body. The blonde's head was turned ever so slightly, but her blue eyes remained focused on brown as she slowly caressed her girlfriend's calf, laying soft, wet kisses up and down, nibbling when she felt like it, all the while stroking a tanned inner thigh, raking her nails along the skin, eliciting delightful goosebumps. She loved Callie's legs. At the same time with her other hand, she was slowly, so frustratingly slowly, moving just one finger in and out of Callie's core and circling her clit with her thumb. It was driving the brunette insane.
"Ari- z-zona, st- stop teasing-"
"Calliope, may I remind you of the teasing you inflicted on me?"
"I- I'm sorry- ple- please-"
"You took the time to worship every part of me during our first night, if I want to sit here and lick every inch of your thigh, calf and ankle, then I will. Plus, I still have to pay attention to your right leg as well Dr Torres, we're not even halfway there. You are due a full physical." Shit eating grin.
She'd throw a tantrum in a fit of rage if she wasn't experiencing so much pleasure. "No- no fair."
"All's fair in love, war and sex Calliope, especially when Dr White thinks she can put her hands on you". She was loving the torture she was inflicting. Knowing she was the reason Callie was forced to beg, she was the one who was making Callie's body convulse and sweat, that her name was gonna be the one Callie screamed as she climaxed… damn right, she was Arizona frickin' Robbins.
"Pl- please Arizona-"
No one ever said her name like Callie did, all breathy and husky. She continued to rake her lips up and down, leaving a couple of marks just above the back of her knee. She was the only one who was allowed to place them there, and the only one who could come back and inspect her handywork. "Are you going to behave, Dr Torres?"
"Ye- yes."
She lowered herself and let Callie's leg gently drop to her side, grabbing her forearm in the process, the same forearm Dr White had the audacity to touch earlier. God that image was imprinted in Arizona's brain. She thought about mirroring the bite mark she'd left previously on her shoulder, but had other ideas. Sexy ideas. Instead, she placed a plethora of smaller bites, gently sucking on certain areas to leave a mark, going up and down. Callie knew Arizona had a thing for her arms, so just let it go, she could barely move anyway even if she wanted to. Once satisfied she'd completed her task, she rose up and whispered into Callie's ear. "Make sure when you next see Dr White you tell her Arizona Robbins is the only person allowed to touch you."
She added a second finger and increased the pressure, the words and torture she'd been in receipt off for the past 20 minutes had wrecked Callie, it wouldn't take long. Arizona leant in closer, their lips almost touching. "Eyes open Calliope, look at me, I want to see you, I need to see the woman I love." Callie forced them to remain open and, after seeing the deep love and desire in blue eyes, Arizona's name escaped from her lips. The blonde never looked away and made sure their foreheads remained together.
After the very mind-blowing orgasm, she waited for Callie to come down, she knew when it was her turn, she'll be as floppy as jello for a good time after. She'd be patient waiting for her turn though, they both needed the brief respite.
Whilst she waited, she took the time to enjoy Callie's taste on her fingers and bask in the love she felt for the woman. God she was happy. She couldn't take her eyes off her, she never could, Calliope Torres would forever consume her. She started to imagine another two or three little Torres'; running around the back yard, playing ball games, doing gymnastics, reading under the tree… school plays, family days, vacations, homework… she wanted that future, she wanted that life, but only with Callie. She'd be lying if she said she didn't envisage bands on both their ring fingers too.
Once her girlfriend's breathing had evened out, she snuggled herself in. During their heavy talks, specifically the one discussing… the third party… she admitted she should have tried therapy or support groups at the time. She knew the crash had changed her, changed the dynamics of their previous life. She made mistakes, two big ones, but it didn't make her a bad person. Perhaps the hospital should have mandated the survivors to complete therapy, in fact, never mind, they should have. She started to trace patterns on Callie's abdomen. "I found a local support group, specifically for frontline workers who have suffered amputations. I signed up and my first session is on Monday, it's a 30 minute drive, will you take me?"
Callie screwed her face, not sure she understood. "How in the hell do you go from a dominant, alpha performance to all cute and vulnerable within seconds?"
Not the response Arizona had expected but it still made her giggle. "I'm awesome."
Callie had expected that response however, so she was glad she could offer words of support and her comment hadn't resulted in the blonde closing up. "Of course my love, whatever you need." She placed a gentle kiss on Arizona's temple. "I'm so proud of you."
Although she wasn't asked to, the blonde wanted to elaborate, to show previously made promises were being kept (this time) and she would continue to address her issues. She wasn't sure she 100% needed to join this group, to discuss what happened, because it had dominated so much of her life since then but she wanted to give it a shot. She owed it to herself more than anything. "I erm, after our conversation, although I'm feeling better, more complete, more like myself again, I thought I should at least try it." She looked up to meet Callie's eyes. "Even if I don't find it helpful, maybe I can help someone else, make their journey easier, maybe stop them making the same mistakes I did."
Callie held her tighter, she wanted this blame game to stop, hearing Arizona constantly bring up her own mistakes was killing her. Yes, what happened would forever hurt, but they had spoken their truth and moved on, life was too short to dwell, not when happiness was currently wrapped up in her arms. "Arizona you weren't in the right frame of mind, until someone goes through what you have, it's all well and good saying shoulda woulda coulda, but who knows how we would handle things. I was wrong to assume you'd be okay if I looked after you how I thought you needed it." Arizona swallowed the giant lump in her throat and instinctively grabbed tightly at Callie's hips. "But the fact you're willing to share one of the worst times of your life in the hope it may help others, just shows how selfless and what a good person you are, I hope you know that. Sof and I are so lucky to have you." She leant down, placed a soft kiss against pink lips and wiped away a small tear that was making its way down a pale cheek. "Whatever happens, whatever hurdles, I'll be there by your side, supporting you as you need. I want to be here for you, but I will go at your pace. As long as you'll have me, I'll be there."
The reply was barely audible, but still said with conviction. "I'll always need you."
"Good, I'll always need to you too." They laid there for a while, comfortable idle chatter between them. At one point Callie asked if she should be jealous due to the amount times Arizona has been married to Owen, she received a scrunched-up nose and a light tap on the bicep in response. After some more teasing, Callie's hand, which had slowly been making its way up Arizona's thigh, suddenly made contact where the blonde needed it most. "Now, I think it's time for some sexy time revenge." She leant over and flashed a wink. "Please don't think of Owen though."
"Ew! Calliope! That's for Teddy. I only think of you." Sweet dimples.
Callie laughed as she rolled on top of her. "Glad to hear it, Dr Robbins."
xxxxxxxxxx
" 'AR' Arizona? Really? You gave me hickies that spell out 'AR' on my forearm!?"
She shrugged as they stood in the elevator. "No one noticed."
Callie scoffed. "Meredith noticed!"
"Well Meredith notices everything sex related."
Arizona was absolutely thrilled her initials were planted on Callie's forearm, now if Dr White wanted to touch her girlfriend, she'd literally have to go through her. Despite the markings, the ortho surgeon still wore the sleeves of her lab coat up, opting to wear a long-sleeved top underneath. And of course, her friend had been right there when she changed from her street clothes that morning. For some reason, the fact Callie still wore her sleeves up drove Arizona wild and she struggled to keep her composure in the elevator. That stop button was right there…
"You do know Dr White is straight, right? Married, two kids?"
Another shrug. "I do now, after you told me, but doesn't mean she gets to harass you."
Harass was such a strong (and completely incorrect) word but she had to admit, she did like jealous Arizona. "What if it was Teddy?"
"Teddy's seen the green-eyed monster, twice, she knows better."
"Karev?"
"Not funny Calliope."
"Kepner?"
A shake of the head. "She'd apologise for touching you, you kinda scare her."
She grinned. "I know."
Callie had received a consult to the pit and Arizona was heading to her office to review some cases with Herman when their paths crossed. She should have gone to the second floor where her mentor was no doubt waiting, but when she ran into her girlfriend, she decided to go the long way round and walk her to her destination first.
"Do you really have to go to California tonight? Can't the big sporting science thingy come to Seattle? I don't mind hosting, just need to find some garden chairs." She fluttered her eyelashes,
"You're ridiculous you know that?" She playfully nudged Arizona and received a pinch to the thigh in response, after the giggling subsided, she continued. "It's only for one night, and it gives me an insight on what major sports teams deal with and expect from their medical personnel. They still haven't responded to my counter proposals, but it doesn't hurt to at least see what I would be required to do."
Arizona adorned the cutest of pouts the brunette had ever seen. "Okay fine, it makes sense, Sof and I can have a mumma and me evening."
"So ice-cream for dinner and dessert?"
"Hmm, maybe." After noting they were near their floor, she stood up on tip toes and whispered into Callie's ear. "I'll make sure there's plenty left for you when you get home… you just might have to lick it off me."
Before she could react, the elevator doors opened, and Callie had to force a gulp down a very dry throat. At that point, the blonde was feeling extremely proud of the reaction her simple words caused. Yeah, Arizona frickin' Robbins.
After composing their selves, they made their way to bed four where they were met by April, she handed Callie the chart. "Michael Lacey, 26, some broken and damaged metacarpals and carpals to the right hand. I wanted to get your opinion if surgery would be required, appropriate or even possible."
Arizona stood back slightly and directed a smug smile April's way, the sort that says ' I just had dirty sex with the person standing right next to you'. Callie meanwhile reviewed the x-rays, clear breaks; the right second, third and fourth proximal phalanxes and metacarpals were broken and the scaphoid, lunate, capitate and trapezoid carpals in the wrist all had cracks. Apart from setting a strong cast, the fingers, knuckles and wrist would have to set on their own. A few checks up to make sure they fused/healed straight, but other than that, not a lot she could do. She started to address her patient before looking up. "Well Mr Lacey, I think- John? Oh my God what are you doing here?"
The man stood next to the patient widened his eyes in delight. "Woah! Callie, good to see you- sorry, should I call you Dr Torres?"
Arizona's focus changed, and who the fuck are you-
"Oh no, Callie's fine." She turned and gestured for Arizona to come in closer. "Arizona this is John, John and his wife run the local veterans support group I was telling you about, he and Owen go way back. John this is Dr Arizona Robbins, Sofia's mum and fellow kick-ass attending at Grey Sloan."
Ooooh, okay, Arizona didn't mind that, she stuck out her arm and offered a hand, of which was taken. She could even afford a genuine, super magic smile. "Nice to meet you, John." She didn't need to be introduced as Callie's girlfriend, or even as someone linked to her personally, so to be referred to as Sofia's mother to someone Callie knew outside their circle meant everything.
"Ah so you're Dr Robbins, Callie has spoken a lot about you-"
She cleared her throat to stop him elaborating, knowing how much delight Arizona would take in those simple few words. "So erm, what happened?"
"Erugh, bachelor party gone wrong. My brother here thought it was a good idea to book 20 seats on one flight, knowing he and his drunken ass friends had no self-control. We were on our way back home, nearly at Sea Tac, when one of them made a comment about Amanda and, well, here we are." He glared at his brother, hoping the damage would have healed by his wedding day, even if he was an idiot. He changed his focus to the three surgeons in front of him. "You ever seen WWE's Royal Rumble? Well it was that, but a mile up and in a tin can."
Callie chuckled as she handed the chart back to April. "Oh it couldn't have been that bad."
He laughed. "You weren't on the plane, Callie."
