Tails was barely conscious, he didnt even know where he was, there was gunfire, alien screaming and more
He tried to stand up, he was able to, barely, but he did it anyway, now he saw... horror
These creatures running were alien of some form, and on the other side there where men fighting them off, but he saw something else, men clad in blue armor, slaying the beasts, saying something about an empire, where was he, how did he get here?
But he saw something else when he looked around, Cream, she was also injured gravely
"C... Cream?" He said barely due to difficulty talking with blood in his mouth
"H... Help m... me" she said, she was barely conscious, but as he approached her, a man in blue armor was behind him
He turned around, terrified, the man was staring at him, he felt his end was at hand, but instead he turned around and said "i found something!"
"What exactly?" said another of the marines
"it looks like a Xenos, but it isn't hostile, what should i do"
"...do as you wish, but the captain might not like it"
"I'll take him in- wait i see another one, I'll take that one to"
He then picked them up and ran while the other marines fought off the Tyranids, after arriving at the base, the marine was then talking with some other marines after he put them down temporarily, then after awhile, tails and cream where then on some kind of ship with some other marines, he could hear the engines roaring and then... it all went black
"What have you brought on board!" The captain said angrily to Titus
"I... i don't know, i just found these two there, i felt that i couldn't just let them die"
"I suggest immediate termination" he said rashly
"We don't even know what these two are, let the tech priests onboard check their DNA"
"Grrr... have the tech priests run a diagnostic test on these two! I need to know if these xenos are dangerous!" He said, tails overheard this, but once again it went black
"After an analysis, it turns out that one of these is a Kitsune, an ancient xenos race thats nearly extinct, the only other one known is... with the emperor's council" the tech priest said to the captain
"w-what!?" The captain said confused "how is this known!"
"it's common knowledge, the emperor showed his new adopted xenos son to his servants on the throne world Terra, the word spread itself afterwards about 10000 years ago"
"But why-" he was cut off by the tech priest
"Do not question the emperors will" he turned to the others "bring the golden gene seeds, give them purpose, unleash their potential, at the Emperors will"
"No... it can't be... was this planned all along by the emperor himself" the captain said, shocked at the fact that this was the emperors will
Tails couldn't believe what he was overhearing, he was one of the last kitsune, he thought he was only similar to them but never thought he was one of them, before fading from consciousness
A fox, a rabbit and a feline, all found on Kadaku, now will be given new purpose
Tails feels hatred, he was rejected and betrayed, he remembers sonic's harah words for his failures and getting kicked off the team, he remembers Silver saving him, but due to fractures in his memories, he bearly remembers what happened
Suddenly, there is pain, he feels like hes aging rapidly, growing, the pain is sharp, Cream also felt this, and so did Blaze, who was apparently found earlier by the Marines on Kadaku
Then it all went black
The tech priests began to inject the gene seeds, altering them, giving them purpose, allowing transcendence
Then finally, the golden gene seed, a sacred relic made from the kitsunes DNA and the emperors blood, now to be injected, tails was barely awake when felt a sting, then more pain and then he-
He saw a vision, a white space, empty, or so thought, he closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, he saw someone he recognized
"Cosmo?"
"Tails... find me..."
"Cosmo!" Tails ran forward and hugged her
"I-i've missed you..." Tails said with tears in his eyes
"Tails... find me" She suddenly disappeared
"Cosmo?! COSMO!" tails said, panicking, realizing it was just an illusion
"Tails, Champion of the kitsune, the wrath of the emperor, Protégé of Guilliman, Rise..." a voice spoke in his head
"Hello? who is there?" He spoke, frightened
"you will know soon, but first, stop the Tyranids, stop chaos, and ill give you Cosmo" the voice said
"How do i know i can trust you!" He said with anger in his voice
"...prove yourself, I'll give you a weapon, slay these foul xenos" the voice said, and suddenly, a chainblade and a weapon appeared in tails hands, he was also armored in blue, like those men he saw earlier on that planet they found him on
Then, Tyranids appeared, he felt rage... and rushed forward
He cut, slashed his way through the beasts, blood staining his fur and armor, he fired his weapon upon them, then a blade of a larger one tried to cut him, but he grabbed and impailed it on the Tyranid and kicked it away
He continued to cut his way through them
"good... now i must return you to reality, good luck, Malex Prawix"
He suddenly bolted up out of bed, panting, he examied his surroundings, he was in a metallic room of some sort, with skulls imprinted in some plances and candles, he was also armored in that blue armor he saw the men in
"So you have finally woken up" Titus said, Tails was surprised by him, turning around
"Are you... the one who saved me?" Tails asked the man
"Yes... against the captains will, but it seems you have been turned into one of us now"
"Who are you people exactly?" Tails asked
"We are the Ultramarines, protectors of mankind and the galaxy, we kill the alien, purge the heretics, fight and die for the emperor"
"The emperor?" Tails said, Confused
"sigh, the god emperor of mankind" Titus said
"I see" Tails said, now understanding
Then the chaplain appeared behind him "Titus, report to the captain immediately, take the... xenos to him as well" he said, with some disappointment in his voice
Tails stood up, following Titus behind him, with the chaplain looking at him with some disdain
The other marines looked at him strangely, confused at what they where seeing, a xenos folded into their ranks
"What was your name again?" Tails asked
"Titus" he said as they got onto the elevator, followed by silence between the two besides the mechanic rumbling of the lift
The elevator hit a stop at the stratgeium, he heard the captain and a robbed figure speaking, before they approached him
"My lord, Lieutenant Titus reporting for duty" Titus said to Captain Acheran
"Titus... do you have any idea what you have brought with you" He said with some anger in his voice
"I couldn't just let him die-" he was cut off by the captain
"Xenos are our enemies!"
"I am no enemy of yours-" tails was trying to say, only to be cut off
"QUIET! xenos filth!" That did it
"what did you just say!?" Tails said with anger
There was silence in the room, before the captain ordered to clear out the room, before he spoke again
"Titus, i had my reservations about uour reinstatement, there could be suspicions, and i dont care if this is the emperor's will or not, it's still a xenos"
Gadriel then appeared behind them
"Sergeant Gadriel, this is lieutenant Titus, he will be taking over your squad, along with this... xenos"
"How... how is this possible? A xenos in our ranks?"
"I am not like this... things on that planet"
"fine, but i will be watching you" the captain said
"However, here is the situation, the Tyranids have been attacking two planets, one is Avarax, a hive world, and Kadaku, which you two already know"
"We are abandoning the latter mostly adeptus mechanicus facilites, we are in process of evacuating critical assests"
"What is the mission then?" Tails asked
"We need to take back the defensive guns, which have been taken by the Tyranids, so the mission is, getting down there and protecting those guns"
"I need to believe in myself, i need to prove myself, that I am capable of defeating those Alien things" Tails said to himself, feeling rage at thw thought of them
"Believe in yourself? Better pray to the emperor then" Gadriel said, only to be met with a glare from the kitsune
"Alright lets go"
They where on the elevator, and then Chairon appeared
"Brother Chairon, are you joining us?"
"Yes, and who is this? Is this the Xenos they folded into our ranks?"
"Yes... Please don't call me that, Call me tails or Malex Prawix"
"Fine" He said Plainly as they headed down to the launch bay
Tails couldn't believe where he was, he was on some form of space battleship with heavily armored men, even he was one himself, there however seemed to be some form of Religious aura around them
"Hey titus i need to ask"
"Speak then"
"Where are Cream and Blaze?"
"According to the mechanicus, they where sent and are being taken care of by the sisters of battle"
"Are you people the only ones protecting the galaxy?"
"You ask a lot of questions but no, we arent the only ones, there is other chapters in the Adeptic Astartes, dark angels, blood angels, Grey knights, black templars, Imperial fists, Salamanders, Raven guare, White scars, there are many more but we are Ultramarines, then there is the Astra Militarium, the imperial guard and the sisters of battle, Adeptus mechanicus and many more"
and who are our enemies then?
"Alright last question then, there are Xenos like Tyranids, Orks, Necrons, Tau, then there is the heretics, i wont be naming the legions but there are Tratior Astartes
Tails couldn't believe what he was hearing, he was dragged in to a galactic war, it seemed to be an endless battle between good and evil
They walked towards a smaller ship known as an absolver and boarded it, he also saw some other marines boarding it, and then it took off as he sat down
He felt rumbling as they entered the atmosphere, he heard the other marines talking about a deathwatch of some sort, by the chains on titus arm, he may have served someone else
Then the gates opened, revealing a lush planet infested with xenos
He saw a woman bowing to them, but at the same time she seemed frightened at the scene of Him, but not at the other marines
"My lord" she said simply, before standing up"
"Major Sarkaana, 8th Cadian regiment"
Tails took a look at the ravaged plains, he saw those tyranids again, he felt rage, wanting to slaughter them all
Tails, titus, Charion and Gadriel walked with Sarkaana as she gave her an update on the situation, which made Tails understand what they where up against"
"I've never seen something like you before" she said to Tails
"Name is Malex Prawix, but call me Tails"
"From your looks you must be a Xenos but at the same time... different" She said
Tails also noticed something, the troops bowed before the marines, refering to them as angels and other things, but seemed scared at the sight of him
Then as he got into the battle field, he heard something crash down, and those things came out of it, causing him to feel a bloodcurdling rage within him, he then rushed with his chainblade and slashed into the Xenos
"RRRRRGH" he roared, as he tore through the Xenos and ripped them apart with his fellow marines help
He then saw a big one charge at him, but he whipped his tails at the big one and thrusted his blade into it, splitting it in half, blood splattering everywhere, covering his fur and armor in red
He contined to cut them down, one by one
He then gasped for air once he has crushed the skull of a xenos
"Airstrike incoming" Sarkaana said over the radio as the xenos where bombarded
"Wow... now that was awesome!" He held up his knuckle for a power bump
"Huh? No one? Okay then" He said, but he was met with titus fist to his own
"We will do great things for mankind" Titus said to Tails, as Chairon and Gadriel watched them
