Chapter 14: The First Job Request. Part 2

Year: X752. 32 years till Canon begins.

Cade POV:

"Ice Shards!" I shouted sending three shards of ice towards Canopus. Canopus responded by using his flames from his hands to form a fireball and hurl it at my attacks.

"Celestial Fireball!" He cried as he threw it at my shards.

The two attacks collided cancelling each other out. When the smoke from the fire cleared, Canopus ran towards me and jumped in the air, as he was coming down towards me, he once again engulfed his fists with fire and flew down towards me.

"Celestial Fire Cannon!" He yelled, as he put his two hands together and sent a beam of fire towards me. I responded by launching a similar sort of move.

"Ice Beam!" I yelled, as a beam of ice was sent towards Canopus's fire cannon.

Our two attacks met again in the air, but it was obvious that Canopus's flames were hot enough to melt my ice before it could even reach him.

My ice was being melted by his flames at a dangerous speed, and if I kept this going, I would be seriously hurt. Thinking quickly, I cancelled my Ice Beam saving a bit of magic in the process and retreated backwards. Canopus's fire cannon crashed into the sand where I once was, with Canopus landing soon after.

'Not good, I've only got enough magic power left to fire another another one of those Ice Beams. If I could get a direct hit on him, I think I'd do some good damage.' I tried to think of a plan to defeat Canopus.

Canopus then grinned and held out his hands and yelled. "Celestial Fire Spiral!" This sent a large wave of fire towards me shaped like a spiral with it twisting round each other as it came towards me.

'Time to use my secret weapon!" I then grinned and reached into the inside of my jacket. Right as the fire attack was about to hit me, I slashed a short sword I had brought with me which was enchanted with Mizu, allowing it to cast Water Magic! This completely extinguished Canopus's fire attack creating a lot of hot steam in the air.

Both Canopus and the thief were surprised to see me do this. "What? How did you do that?!" The thief yelled out in fury. Canopus was annoyed at seeing my ability to cast Water Magic with my sword like that. He scowled and prepared himself for another attack.

"Celestial Fire Meteor!" He yelled as he held his hand up in the sky and sent a dozen or so fireballs high up into the sky, before they then began to come crashing back down to earth.

I responded to this by slashing my water short sword upwards as the spells were coming down, which sent waves of water upwards to destroy them before they reached me. As I destroyed the last one I failed to notice that Canopus had closed the distance between us exponentially, and was now only a few feat away from me. He smirked and lit his fist on fire.

"Celestial Fire Fist!" He yelled as he punched me in the stomach, sending me flying backwards for a good few seconds across the sand, before I later crashed back down onto the sand causing me more pain.

"AGHH!" I cried in pain.

'Ow… That hurt pretty bad… I don't think anything is broken though.' I realised, as I could still move body well enough.

"Woo hoo! Well done Canopus!" Shouted the thief with delight. "Now we can get out of here with that brat dealt with." She said as I saw her turning away from me and beginning to walk away. But I wasn't finished yet.

"Not so fast." I stated, as I had just gained the strength to stand up on my feet, which surprised Canopus and the thief. "I'm not finished yet. I'm still to take you in for breaking into the shop back there." I added with a smirk.

'In a way, I'm grateful for that fire fist attack just there. It gave me and idea of how to beat you Canopus!' I realised, as I readied myself for round two.

"Ugh, you little pest! Take care of him Canopus." The thief waved her hand with annoyance, as she sat back down on her rock.

"Got it boss!" Canopus cried as he fired up his fists again for another attack, I however wasn't exactly going to let that go through. Now I started to run towards Canopus while quickly slashing my water sword at him to send waves of water at him. He chose to dodge this incoming attack.

"Celestial Fire Rocket!" He yelled as jets of flames came out of his hands allowing him to soar up into the air, before then aiming himself straight towards me and then shot himself towards me.

I responded to this by running straight at the direction in which he was firing himself to ready to engage him. When I got close enough, I made the incredibly risky move of putting my Mizu sword back inside my jacket.

This action seemed to stun both the thief and Canopus, them now thinking I was defenceless. Canopus didn't seem to change what he was doing, in fact as he got closer to me, he then smirked and held his fists in front of him and shouted.

"Celestial Fire Fists!" Which engulfed his fists again, as he now smirked and continued to sped towards me, the distance between us shrinking quite quickly now.

Right before he reached me, I quickly reached back into my coat and pulled back out my short sword. But it wasn't the same one as before, this time I pulled out my Kūki air enchanted sword and quickly sliced the air in front of me which sent huge waves of air towards Canopus, which instantly blew out his flames.

"WHAT!?" He yelled out, in surprise and confusion at his flames suddenly getting extinguished. This now meant that he was just flying towards me, with no sort of way of attacking me. As he was still recovering from the shock, I prepared my final spell for him.

"When you used your meteor move against me earlier, you waited for me to attack upwards which left myself wide open to your attack. But that gave me the idea to do the same to you! I waited until you were in a position that made you vulnerable if your flames were to go out, and now you're wide open! Ice Beam!" I yelled as I fired off my attack.

As I said that, a beam of ice was sent towards Canopus, who was currently vulnerable to my ice attacks now that his fire had been extinguished. The attack made contact which sent him flying back up into the air. When he began to fall back to the ground, I ran underneath him and pulled out my Mizu Sword and began to charge an attack that finish him off for good. As he was falling I noticed that Canopus relit his flaming fists.

"Hah! Now that my fists are rekindled, let's see how you like this! Celestial Fire Spiral!" He yelled.

I wasn't nervous or afraid however, as I had just finished preparing my own water attack to send his way. "Nebula Wave!" I cried as I slashed the sword upwards sending a huge wave of water towards Canopus's fire spiral.

To put it simply, it was no contest. My attack crashed right through his fire attack, which not only extinguished it but also hit him as well. Quite hard as a matter of fact, as when he had finished receiving the attack and fell back down to the sand, he glowed a little before disappearing into thin air.

'Wait… I didn't kill him did I?' I was struck with fear for a moment. But then the thief spoke up for me.

"Canopus lost then?" She said with a bit of surprise. "Oh well. He better enjoy his time in the sprit world while he's there." She sighed with disappointment in her voice.

"What are you talking about?" I demanded to her, glaring my eyes in suspicion.

"Duh! He's a Celestial Spirit! You're telling me you're a wizard and you don't know what they are?" She responded sniggering at me.

"S-Shut up! You're defensiveness now so give up!" I yelled at her.

"Oh I don't think so." She replied smirking, as she pulled out another silver key from her pouch and held it up into the sky.

'No it can't be!?'

"Open Gate of the Servant, Vega!"

As she said that there was a flash of white light for a brief moment, and when it disappeared I saw a rather tall man in front of the thief. He was perhaps the most well dressed man I had ever seen. The moon was reflecting off of the ocean right now, which allowed me to see his full attire, face and the colour of his clothes.

He had a pair of dark green eyes and had short brown hair. He also wore a very clean black top hat. He wore a black suit with a white shirt underneath, while also wearing a red tie. He was also wearing a pair of shiny black shoes that had laces that were tightly tied. His suit had a small pocket on the front, that held a pair of glasses which were tucked away.

"Well can't say I'm surprised at this." He commented in the smoothest and most clean voice I had ever heard. "I did see Canopus come back to the spirit world in a bit of a wreck. I only got a moment to realise what had happened before I was whisked away here." He turned his top hat slightly before looking to me. "And to think it was a child that beat him." He said smirking a little. "Oh, I'm never going to let that go."

'Great, now I gotta deal with this guy?! What's his gimmick then?' I began to get a bit nervous at the presence this man was giving off.

"Who are you supposed to be then?" I questioned, making sure to not take my eyes off this guy, I had no idea what he could do after all.

"I'm Vega the Servant." He greeted dipping his top hat to greet me.

"You don't have to do this whole fighting thing by the way you know. You can just step aside and I'll take care of your… boss?" I requested with a bit of confusion of what sort of power this lady had over these two entities I had met.

Vega's raised his eyebrow at me. "No can do boy. My Master summoned me to take care of you. That is what I plan to do." He stated as he got into a fighting stance. His "Master" grinning in the background as she watched on.

"Well it was worth asking." I muttered, as I too pulled out my Mizu sword from my jacket and got ready to fight Vega.

Vega started out the fight by removing his top hat from his head, which confused me. Then then surprised me even more by reaching into the hat and pulling out an incredibly large katana, in which he then put his hat back on his head and took a fighting stance with the blade.

"Shall this suffice Master?" Vega asked to the thief.

"Oh yes, it will indeed." The thief approved smiling wickedly.

'What the heck is with this guy!? How did he pull that sword out of his hat just then?!' I thought panicking internally.

Vega seemed to notice my surprise and decided to humour me. "You see boy, my alias is the Servant. As such my magical hat is equipped with a separate pocket dimension in which I can hold items that my master may require, such as weapons, clothes, medicine and books. Anything that can grow or rot will not be compatible with entering the pocket dimension sadly." He explained, as he tightened his suit and tie.

'A hat that can hold anything? Hang on-!'

"Wait… that's where you've been hiding the stolen jewellery isn't it!" I shouted in realisation pointing at the hat.

Vega and the thief were a bit surprised to hear me say that, but they simply chuckled at my comment.

"You catch on quickly boy." Praised Vega, smirking as he said it. "But anyway, enough taking. Have at you!" He declared as he lunged towards me katana at the ready.

I quickly drew my Mizu sword and began to slash away at Vega. From what I had learned a few minutes ago, these "Celestial Spirits" are seemingly immortal. As they'll go back to the Spirit World (or whatever the girl called it) when they are dying or about to die. As such, I made sure to hack and slash at Vega as much as I could.

Slashes of water were flown towards him rapidly. Vega surprised me however, by simply slicing them away with his Katana, with him not slowing down as he ran towards me his Katana raised towards me. I then changed tactic, by getting ready to actually use my sword… in a sword fight.

When Vega made it to me, I brought my sword in to try and stab him the chest. Vega blocked and parried this easily with his Katana, him them kicking me in the chest with his shiny black shoes, which sent me flying backwards, and landing me once again into the sand. As Vega slowly approached me, I began to try and think of a plan to beat him.

'What can I do to beat him!? I used almost all of my magic fighting Canopus earlier! I could maybe cast a single Ice Shard, but then I'd be all out of magic!' I thought frantically.

'I have my Mizu and my Kūki swords with me, but the Kūki sword will only blow him back a little, I doubt it'll do any actual damage to him… Ah! The Mizu sword, if I maybe caught him off guard then I could deal some damage to him. But I'd have to wait for an opportunity to do so.' I planned, as I struggled to my feet to face Vega.

"Tell me. Do you really not have any magic inside of you? You have that lacrima powered weapon sure, but would you really go all this way without having an actual magic?" Vega inquired as he continued to approach me.

'Ah, so he thinks I have a lacrima powered weapon then eh? Maybe that's the advantage I was looking for then.' I thought with an idea forming in my head.

"It doesn't matter If I have or haven't awoken my magic yet, or whether I have lacrima powered weapons or not. As long as there is blood still flowing through my veins, I'll continue to keep fighting on." I declared confidently, with me being quite surprised at that last part I just said there. It wasn't a half bad line…

"Hmph, well it will matter when you find yourself helpless against me and my blade." Vega shouted, with him running towards me now ready to strike. "Your lacrima weapons are probably about to run out after you had to deal with Canopus earlier!" He stated smirking, as he closed the distance between us.

But I wasn't afraid, I had my hand inside my jacket on my Kūki sword secretly charging it up as he approached me, while my other still grasped my Mizu sword I had out for everyone to see. From Vega's point of view, I was simply clasping my hand over a wound I had sustained from inside my jacket.

Just then, right as Vega made it to me and prepared to strike, I dropped my Mizu sword on the sand, and quickly drew my now powered up Kūki sword with both my hands.

"Gale Wind Slash!" As I uttered those words, a huge gust of air that you would normally encounter on top of mountains, was sent straight towards Vega, who at this point was surprised at the fact that I had a second blade with me.

The attack in question, hit Vega straight in the chest, which sent him flying backwards into the sand this time. From what I could see from Vega's face as he was hit and the distance that he flew back from, that attack just there did some serious damage to him. As he went flying backwards, I figured that now was the best time to use some magic to follow up on my success just there.

"Ice Shard!" I yellled, sending a shard of thick ice right towards the direction Vega was flying. The shard made contact with his right leg, embedding deep inside

"ARGHHHHH!" He yelled out, as the shard hit his leg with him crashing onto the sand not to long later.

Not choosing to waste this opportunity, I picked up my Mizu blade and quickly ran to where he was, hoping to deal further damage to him.

Unfortunately for me, Vega stood back up, yanking the shard of ice out of him. He gave me a glare, before removing his top hat from his head, and putting the Katana back inside of it. He then reached inside it and pulled out a small glass vial.

"If you thought that you had be beat, think again boy! Did you not think that my magical hat can hold medicine?" He spat with a sinister grin, while uncorking the vial. "I'll use this to-"

"I don't think so!" I said interrupting him by sending a slash of air at him using my Kūki blade which sent the vial flying out of his hands as he didn't have a good grip on it, and up into the air where it flew quite far away out of my eyesight.

"What!?" Yelled Vega in anger, before turning to see that I was quite close to him all of a sudden. He frantically reached back into his hat and pulled out a basic sword. That was just in time for him, as I was about to bring my sword down to him. He quickly blocked my attack with his sword.

"I see how you able to beat Canopus now. Nothing but cheap tricks!" Vega snarked as he tried to overpower me. With his bad leg, he was also doing everything he could to stay on balance right now.

"I was smart about it! Waited until his guard was down, and then I struck! But look at you, pulling whatever you want out of your hat! And you call me cheap!" I grunted at Vega. I put more of my strength into trying to get one over the Spirit.

Vega then made the big mistake of trying to kick me as he did before, but he made the mistake of using his good leg instead of his injured one. This meant that as soon as hit foot left the ground, he lost his balance and nearly fell over, having to quickly regain his balance with both his feet.

"It's over Vega! This next attack of mine will finish this!" I shouted as I re-equipped my Mizu sword as Vega almost lost balance just there. I then proceeded to hack and slash the air around Vega with both my blades, which sent flurries of water and air towards him at close range. I then charged up both blades and sliced them at the same time towards Vega.

"Hurricane!" I declared with a shout, as I sent a huge spiral of air accompanied by water swirling around it towards Vega, which then hit him directly in the stomach and sent him skyrocketing up into the air, with his hat having fallen off him before he was sent up. Vega then crashed back into the sand, and I walked over to take a look at him.

His lovely black suit and tie was in complete tatters now, his shiny shoes were now drenched in sand. He was still conscious, but like with Canopus earlier, a silver glow surrounded him and he began to vanish. But he had one last thing to say from what I could see.

"Sorry Master Ivy… I failed." With him then disappearing into thin air.

"VEGA LOST!?" Exclaimed the thief with a livid expression, who I now presumed was named Ivy. "B-But how?! He's never lost before!" Ivy shouted panicking a little.

"Heh, don't tell me you have another one of those silver keys on you?" I said confidently, after seeing her facial expression just there. I'm guessing she had no more friends for her call on.

"Ugh!" She grimaced and quickly got off the rock she was on, and backed away from me.

"Where do you think you're going Ivy?" I grinned, as I slashed my Kūki blade at her feet, which sent a gust of wind which knocked her over and into the sand. She tried to then scramble backwards to escape me, but her leg was still badly injured, so she didn't get very far… about a few centimetres to be exact.

"Do you surrender?" I asked, now looming over her.

Ivy gave me a evil glare before, lowering her eyes to the ground and muttered. "Yeah… I surrender, you win kid." She spat.

'I… I did it. I won! I beat my first evildoer! That felt pretty good. Is this what being a wizard is like then? If so, then I can't wait for the future! Anyway! Better deal with Ivy here.'

And so I led Ivy back up towards the main town of Hargeon. Before I went however, I quickly confiscated Ivy's silver keys and rings from her. I also noticed that Vega's hat was still lying on the sand. Remembering that the stolen jewellery was most likely in there, I picked up the hat and put in on my head.

When we made it back to Luko's shop, I saw a few things. The first was that there was Rune Knights everywhere around the shop. The second was that I saw Luko outside the shop looking quite nervous. The third was that many townspeople were crowed around trying to ask questions of what was going on around here.

I approached one of the Rune Knights, who looked surprised to see a ten year old boy holding a sword to the back of a teenage girl dressed in full black.

"Here, this is the thief that has been stealing jewellery from this store. I think the jewels are hidden in this hat somewhere." I pushed Ivy towards the Rune Knight, who was still a bit shocked at this, but quickly appended her, putting some special handcuffs on her. The Rune Knight then beckoned to another Knight behind him and brought him over.

"Sir, this is the thief the shopkeeper was talking about. This young man here captured her for us."

"Is that so?" The Rune Knight leader questioned with his eyebrow raised. He then turned to me. "Are you with Fairy Tale young man?" He said curiously.

"Yes I am." I said raising up my left sleeve to reveal the Fairy Tale mark on my arm.

"Ah, so you're Cade then, I am Knight Declan and I am the leader of this squad. One of your friends ran into us as the shopkeeper called us here. He seemed quite worried about you. I think he is still out there looking for you and the thief right now." Declan informed, looking out towards the rest of the town.

"Oh boy…" I muttered. I'd have to go collect Gildarts once I've wrapped things up here.

At this point Ivy had been led away by other Rune Knights and into a vehicle to later be transported away to prison.

"Tell me something Cade, what magic did this young lady here use?" Declan questioned.

"Oh well her name is Ivy, and she uses ring magic and Celestial Spirit magic." I replied back to him.

"Wait what? Did I miss hear you there? Ring, and Celestial Spirit Magic?" Declan asked with shock.

"Uh, yeah I have them here." I pulled out the three rings and two keys. Upon seeing them, Declan laughed in delight, which confused me.

"My goodness, this is amazing! You have no idea who you've brought in young man!" Knight Declan praised. "She's an infamous criminal that started stealing expensive items about a year ago now. What was most peculiar, was that we were always unable to find out how she was stealing the items. Most of the time the protection system for some of the items had either failed or were untampered with."

"Like the glass cases in the store there!" I said in realisation, pointing to Luko's store.

"Indeed!" Chimed Declan. "She always escaped the scene of the crime each and every time. All we knew was that she had some sort of ring magic. There were also sightings of her using Celestial Spirits as well from witness what caught from her when she was fleeing. Congratulations on capturing her, if you give us your address, we can deliver the reward to you." Said Declan as he pulled a notepad from his pocket.

"Huh? Reward?" I said in confusion.

"Ah yes, there is a reward for bringing in criminals that have been on the run for a while now just like her. I believe the reward is 500,000 jewel for her." Declan confirmed.

"WHAT?! Really!? 500,000 Jewels?!" I yelled with shock. Declan just simply nodded his head at me smiling. "Philipe Manor on the hills just above Magnolia!" I quickly told him. Declan wrote that down on his pad, and then looked up at me.

"Alright then, we'll deliver that reward to you in a few days time. Now if I were you I would go and try to find your friend that was running around out there looking for you." Declan suggested. "We'll take care of things here."

"Yes, that might be a good idea." I said back to the Knight, as I then thanked him for the reward before turning away to go and track down Gildarts. I decided I would report back to Luko when I had found Gildarts so he could thank us both and save him some time.

I chose to follow the path me and Gildarts had first chased Ivy when she ran out of the store. Hargeon was a pretty big town so I was a bit nervous about how long it would take me to find Gildarts here. I eventually made it to where we both got separated from each other, when Ivy used her ring. I noticed that there was a alleyway to my left that Gildarts might have gone through.

I chose to head through there, and see if I could find Gildarts that way. As I traveled through the alleyway, I eventually came out into a nice open area with a large park in the centre of it. There were some trees to the side of it and few benches at the edge. I could see slides, as well as seesaws for the children to play with. I saw that there was another alleyway in the direction of where I was looking. As Gildarts clearly wasn't here, I made my through the park to the alleyway I saw ahead.

"This is a lovely park isn't it?" Came a voice from behind me.

I quickly turned around to see who it was. Was this person an enemy? I was surprised to see a middle aged man who was sitting on a bench. There was a streetlight shining down on him, so I was able to see him in more detail.

He had brown hair that was beginning to turn grey at his sides. He had red eyes as well as a scar shaped like an X that was located on his right cheek, one of the lines was smaller than the other. He wore a purple shirt, with a rich green coloured blazer over it. His lower half consisted of smart brown trousers and black boots. He gave a warm smile to me, and raised his hand up to me.

"Sirius, nice to meet you." He introduced himself kindly.

"Cadewell, but you can call me Cade." I greeted him, as I hesitantly took the man's hand and shook it gently.

'Was he there before?' I pondered as I looked at the man. Then I remembered why I was here.

"Hey, have you seen a boy around a few years older than me with ginger hair run by here at any point?" I asked Sirius.

"Ah, he should just be coming this way in a few minutes." Sirius responded with a nod.

"Wha-? What are you on about?" I spoke up in disbelief at the middle aged man.

"Now, as for why I'm here." He addressed, standing up from the bench he was on, as he ignored my question. "I believe you defeated Miss Ivy a few minutes ago right?" Sirius asked, giving me a curious gaze.

"How do you know that?" I questioned with voice becoming a bit more serious after hearing that.

"You have her keys on you, Canopus and Vega." He informed me, pointing to my outside jacket pocket.

"Oh yeah! I forget to hand them and the rings to the Knights back there." I realised with surprise at forgetting about that detail. "Guess I'll do that later. But how did you know about that?" I wondered, regaining my stern tone.

"You're missing a key. Ivy had three and you currently have two of them." Sirius informed, nodding his head at me.

"What!? What do you mean she had another?! Are the Knights in danger!?" I shouted in fear, panicking at that new discovery.

"No, no, here is the key right here. My key." Assured Sirius, as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a shiny silver key and handed it to me. "The gate of the Human, Sirius." He introduced himself.

"Excuse me?!" I spoke in bewilderment, with my eyes wide. "You… are a Celestial Spirit?!" I shouted in shock.

"Yes I am. As you defeated Miss Ivy just there, she has now been arrested. With that, the contracts the three of us had with her have now been terminated. As such I would like to entrust our three keys to you Cade." Sirius explained with a strange yet seemingly kind smile. "Oh in case you are wondering, the Celestial Spirit King granted me access to come here to tell you that." He answered.

"The Celestial who now!? And wait! I'm not a Celestial Wizard!" I addressed Sirius quickly. "And no offence, but I don't think I have time to be learning another magic. I already have more than one magic and that's hard enough as it is." I said frantically.

"I am aware of that. You can just hold on to the keys until you find another Celestial Wizard to entrust them to. I'm sure you'll make the right choice of who to give them to." Sirius said smiling at me.

"Ah. Well… alright then." I gave a slow nod at that. That's not so bad, I could do that easily!

"There is one thing though." Sirius piped up. "I would like you to keep my key and not give it away to anyone. I know you will not be able to summon me, but I tend to find my own way around things." Sirius requested, which I found a bit… suspicious.

"Also… please don't mention me to anyone." He requested carefully.

"As for the other two keys, do what you wish with them, I do not care." Said Sirius lazily, waving his hand as he said that.

"What?! Why should I?!" I demanded with confusion. "Why shouldn't I give your key away?"

"Because I see you as a promising young wizard Cade. I simply wish to see your progress and evolution as a wizard, that is all." He confirmed with a genuine tone.

'Well he sounds genuine.' I tsked in frustration.

"How do I know you won't try to sabotage me when I do anything. Like go on another job for example?" I asked with suspicion.

Sirius sighed, and gave me a sincere look. "I truly mean you no harm Cade." He explained with an honest voice.

"Ok… Final question: Why do you want me to keep you a secret?" I pointed at Sirius with suspicion.

Sirius gave a frown. "Please young man. It would be… very, very bad if you gave any information regarding me to anyone else." He said with a dash of fear in his voice. "Just… keep me a secret for now." He requested sincerely.

I paused to think about that.

"I'll think about it." I answered.

Sirius sighed before speaking up again. "Better than a refusal I suppose." He muttered with a nod. Then he looked quite serious.

"Well I better be going now! My time here is almost up. Please consider what I said young Cade." Sirius said nodding his head at me and giving a smile. "Your friend should just be coming this way." Sirius said pointing to the alleyway I was about to go to. "Good luck Cadewell Philipe!" Sirius said, as he disappeared into a silver light.

"Wait! How do you know my last name?!" I shouted. But it was too late sadly. Sirius had returned to the Spirit World.

'What was with that guy!? He somehow knows my last name, seemingly knows a way out of the Spirit World without being summoned, knew about Ivy's arrest, somehow took his key from Ivy and made it all the way over here to give me the key and why does he want me to keep his key!?'

My thoughts kept on thinking of more and more things that were weird about that guy, but I was interrupted by a loud familiar voice from ahead of me.

"CADE!" Yelled Gildarts, from ahead of me as he ran to where I was. "Aw man, I was so worried about you. There was this flash and then the next thing I knew you were gone!" Gildarts said quickly. "Are you ok?" He asked with concern

"Uh… yeah. I-I'm fine Gildarts." I told him slowly, still trying to get my head around that last encounter I just had.

"Alright good, we gotta find the thief. He should still be in Hargeon I think. I ran into some Rune Knights and they said they set up a perimeter around the town." Gildarts said preparing to run off. Upon seeing that I wasn't coming with him, he frowned and looked at me in confusion. "What?" He wondered.

"Oh I already beat her." I said plainly.

"Huh?!" Gildarts exclaimed. "You beat her?! Wait a minute HER!? It was a girl!?" Gildarts had his mouth open in shock.

"Yeah, I beat her and handed her in to the Knights. She's going to jail now!" I informed my partner. Upon seeing that Gildarts was still rather confused, I decided to walk back to Luko's with him and explain what had happened.

I first talked about how she used ring magic to steal the items from the store, and the fact that she used one ring to shine that bright light that separated us, in which Gildarts nodded his head upon realising that.

I then mentioned how we both ended up confronting each other on the beach, and how she used Celestial Spirit Magic. When hearing that, Gildarts was completely taken aback at the idea of me going up against Celestial Spirits. Next I brought up the fight with Canopus and Vega and how I convinced Ivy to surrender, in which I confiscated her keys and rings. Finally I mentioned how I handed her in to the Royal Knights and was about to receive half a million jewels as a reward for taking her down.

"No way! You're getting that much as a reward!?" Gildarts was stunned to hear this.

"Yeah, guess I got lucky today." I said chucking a little.

"So er… what's with the hat?" Gildarts wondered in confusion.

"Oh, it's Vega's. I think it has the stolen jewellery inside of it. When we make it back to Luko's I'll see if I can get them out and give them to him. Guess I'll hand the hat into the Rune Knights after." I mentioned.

"Anything else happen then?" Gildarts quizzed turning to me.

I thought about this for a second.

"Well, I think I have temporary ownership of Ivy's keys until I find an actual Celestial Wizard to give them to. When I beat her one of her spirits showed up and gave me the keys and told me that." I explained calmly.

That was technically the truth, if not the whole truth.

Yeah I didn't fully trust Sirius. That guy was strange. Really strange.

The spirit knows stuff he really shouldn't know, like my last name for example. However, I felt like I could take him in a fight if it came down to it. I had beaten two Celestial Spirits just half an hour ago! And I doubt I'll be getting weaker anytime soon.

I would keep his key locked away under my bed, along with the spellbook. Eventually, I would get answers from him.

At this point, we had both made it back to Luko's shop. The Rune Knights were all gone now, and the entire street was quiet now. I knocked on the shop door, and was greeted by Luko, who seemed very happy to see us both.

"Ah Cade, Gildarts! You did it! You caught the thief, and stoped her from stealing anything else from me! Oh, I owe you one after that boys." Luko said happily. "Ah! Did you find out where the other stolen items are?" He inquired with concern.

I smirked.

"I think… They are in here." I declared, pointing to the top hat on my head.

I then removed the top hat on my head and turned it over. I then put my hand into the hat, and was blown away by how it felt. It felt like my hand could just keep stretching on and on with no limit. I began to wonder if I would ever find the missing jewellery in here, but as I thinking that I felt my hand reach a wooden object.

I moved my hand around it, and realised that it was a wooden chest!

I felt around some more and was able to grab a handle of the chest. I was surprised to find that it was surprising light as I was able to lift it out of the hat with ease. This then shocked Luko and Gildarts, as from their perspective, I had actually just materialised a entire wooden chest from a regular top hat.

I sat the chest on the ground below the three of us and bent over to open it. When I did I saw countless of rings, necklaces, earrings and other sorts of jewellery. Upon seeing them all, Luko let out a cry of happiness.

"That's them! You found them!" He cried out in delight. "Oh I'm saved! If you boys need anything from me don't hesitate to ask I'll be right here!" He then cheered as he looked through the chest for all his items.

"Well, that's the job done and dusted." Said Gildarts with a smirk as he turned to look at me.

"Yeah I guess so." I smiled. "It feels good to have completed the job like that."

I then looked out towards the night sky and saw that the moon had reached its highest point in the sky now. That means there was only a few hours of night left then.

I then realised that me and Gildarts that we should probably find somewhere to sleep, but Luko piped up and allowed us both to sleep in his apartment above the shop for our efforts today!

As I lay down on the couch in his room, I began to think about all the things Sirius had told me earlier. One day I would get my answers from him.

And cut! That's the first job complete! I really hope you all enjoyed reading the chapter just now. I tried to be a bit creative with the new Celestial Spirits Ivy had on her, giving them unique names and designs.

And then there is Sirius. What do you all think his deal is? How does he know so much about everything and everyone? Well, answers you will all get in due time my dear viewers.

In the meantime, I hope I'll see you all in the next chapter! Feel free to leave a review if you liked this chapter, or if you wish to share your thoughts!
