It was raining, just like it had been the past few weeks since the supervillains from that other world arrived, and Ochako just sat in her dorm, looking out at the makeshift homes that were now being used for the civilians, she felt sad knowing that while they saved a lot, it seemed like that for every five people they save, 2 were left behind. It made her heart hurt, which to her made it seem like she was a good hero. She looked at her phone and tried to get any news but most of the communication systems were taken over she was worried, suddenly a knock sounded on her door.
"Ochako?" Tsui asked
"Oh hey Tsui, what's up?" she asked
"miss Midnight wants to talk to you downstairs" Tsui said
"Okay thank you Tsui" Uraraka said leaving her room
"You okay?" she asked
"Yeah, just feeling the atmosphere" she said
"I know Ochako, but there' snot much more we can do for them" Tsui said frowning
"It will be okay" Uraraka smiled.
"Oh, there you are Miss Uraraka" Midnight said upon seeing her student walk downstairs
"Hey Miss Midnight is everything okay?" she asked
"No, it's not we found a family that was trapped due to the most recent attack by the ones called Juggernaut and Abomination" Midnight said "I'm sending you to meet the pro heroes there so you can help them out. Kay?"
"I understand ma'am" Uraraka nodded
"Good, he's the location" Midnight showed her
"Okay I'll head out there straight away" Uraraka nodded and rushed off.
"Thank you" Midnight nodded before walking off.
"A hero mission?" I better not let them down" she said as she went to get changed into her hero costume. This was the first time she was going into the field by herself since the attack, thankfully she was going to meet up with some pro heroes, so that would hopefully work out well she said.
"Okay, now where are the pro heroes?" she asked as she got to the location that Midnight had given her "Hang on, why is there no battle damage?" she asked nervous about what was going on, when suddenly a wall exploded behind her, she turned around to see someone who was seven feet tall, wearing what could only be described as brown leather armour with a dome helmet covering all but his eyes and mouth.
"Got you girly" the villain said as a man wearing a grey military outfit with a metallic white skull mask and tattered hood appeared next to a women wearing a pink and black outfit
"It seems like the bait was taken" the masked man laughed
"Who are you?" Uraraka asked, the rain now picking up
"We're Taskmaster, Juggernaut and Diamondback. And you'll be coming with us so we can make good use of your quirk" Taskmaster laughed as he drew a sword out and walked forward.
"Please don't resist" Diamondback said "I hate to kill a cute girl" she laughed
"The brat is mine" Juggernaut said
"I don't think so" Uraraka shouted racing forward and slapping Juggernaut, making him float
"WHAT!" Juggernaut shouted
"That idiot" Taskmaster said before he raced in there, trying to use some of the martial arts he learnt off of different heroes.
"RELEASE!" she shouted touching her fingertips together
"HEY WATCH OUT!" Juggernaut shouted as he landed just after Taskmaster leapt away
"That girl is a pain in the ass" Taskmaster snarled as he saw her running away, thinking quickly Taskmaster switched to a bow and aimed at her.
"Don't kill her" Diamondback reminded him
"I know what I'm doing" Taskmaster said as he fired, the arrow bounced off of the street and caught her arm, making her trip and the protective part of her boot cracked because of the impact, she panted and got up, holding her arm as she ran.
"We'll get her; Juggernaut, if you can get up and wreck the place, that will attract more heroes and give us some more to use to demoralize this world, just like Doom wanted" Taskmaster ordered
"Good" Juggernaut smirked as he started to run through buildings.
"Those villains, they must have hacked our comms" she panted, the rain making her costume stick to her body more then it would usually, her boots were broken, making her trip and fall every time she ran, getting scuffed up.
"Where are you gravity girl?" she heard Taksmaster call out
"Damn, I didn't get fair enough away from them" she said
"I'll go this way, you go that way" Diamondback said
"Fine" Taksmaster nodded
"Need a hand?" a voice asked as someone in green armour showed up
"Hey Scorpion, I thought you were chasing that last puddy tat" Taskmaster said
"I did, she's close. But I'm willing to help you guys" Scorpion said
"Good idea, it's that gravity girl we got intel on, Doom wants her" Taskmaster said.
"I can't imagine why" Scorpion said.
"Ha, guys she's getting away!" Diamondback shouted
"OH right" the guys said as Taskmaster chased after the girl while Scorpion went after his target.
Uraraka had used her quirk to get to the roof of a tall building, the feeling of her guts about to explode from nausea
"Keep going Ochako" she told herself, "Don't let yourself get caught" she continued as she slipped, falling to her hands and knees "I can't let them" she crawled along the ground. She thought of her mum and dad, her friends, her teachers, the boy she had a crush on. "I'm so sorry" she cried as she just laid there,
"There you are!" Taskmaster laughed, suddenly the only thought Uraraka had was that she was going to be captured soon. "End of the line, girly" he chuckled as a bright circle of light opened up behind her, the young heroine rolled onto her stomach and crawled towards it. Taskmaster was behind her, which one having a different thought about what this portal was for. Using all of her remaining might she got up onto her feet, inhaled and screamed out.
"HELP!" she called out "HELP ME PLEASE!" she cried out.
"No one is going to save you!" Taskmaster laughed; before he was shot back by a beam of light. "What?" he asked as he saw a figure in front of the circle with his hand out stretched, a circle glowing on it. "No" Taskmaster realised who it was, Uraraka saw this as the villain took a step back.
"A little low for you to be attacking a kid Taskmaster" the figure said in a robotic voice. Soon more and more people stepped out of the portal, all of them in different costumes.
"Heroes" Uraraka said as she teared up. One of them, a woman wearing a blue and red costume with a yellow star on her chest saw her and walked over to her.
"Hey sweetie, are you okay?" she asked gently. This act and question made Uraraka hug her and just unleash every tear she was holding all at once. "It's okay; let it all out, you're safe now" the hero said as she rubbed Uraraka's back in a comforting manner.
"He's not" a voice confirmed as the portal closed allowing Uraraka to see how many heroes had arrived, and right now she was feeling hopeful again after what felt like a lifetime. One of the heroes, this one dressed in red and blue looked down as he heard something.
"I got eyes on Gargan" the hero said
"Well what are you waiting for Spidey?" the first hero Uraraka spoke asked
"Nothing" he shouted jumping off the building, letting loose a shout of excitement was he descended. The blonde hero saw Uraraka's face.
"Don't worry he'll be okay, he usually does this sort of thing" she smiled before she looked at Taskmaster and frowned. "You on the other hand Masters, have a lot to answer for! The whole bunch of you villains!"
"Heh, like you can stop us, we have an army of villains!" Taskmaster declared as the sound of smashing was heard.
"Juggernaut I presume?" the first hero asked
"Yeah, what are you going to do about him?" Taskmaster asked
"Well we have an army as well, but we also have the HULK!" the hero said as a large green skinned hero jumped in the direction of the noise.
"Oh crap!" Taskmaster panicked
"Cap" the blonde hero said as she looked to a hero dressed in the colours of the American flag "If this girl is any indication. This place needs some hope, so why not give it to by making the villains quake!" she smiled making Uraraka curious about what the was
"Good idea Capt Marvel" The American hero said as he strode forward. Uraraka immediately felt a change in the atmosphere. The rain that was once heavy with negative emotion, now felt like it was washing away her fears.
"NO, DON'T!" Taskmaster shouted as he watched the hero raise his shield in triumph.
"AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!" he shouted making it seem like a wave of hope passed over everything.
"Got you now kitty" Scorpion laughed as he cornered Mandalay on the ground, her dress was slightly torn in different places. She was frowning while clutching her shoulder as Scorpion was approaching her, the tip of his scorpion tail glowing an acid green, he reared his tail back and was going to strike her, Mandalay kept a defiant look on her face
'I am not going down here' she scowled as she dodged the strike then the second until she slipped and crashed into the cement, she looked up as Scorpion reared his tail back again 'I'm sorry Kota, Ryoko, Tomoko, Yawara. I hope you don't miss me too much' she closed her eyes and waited for the strike to happen.
"HEY! WHY WON'T IT MOVE!" he shouted making Mandalay open her eyes and gasped as she saw the tip of the tail was near her face, but the rest of it was not. In fact it looked like he was struggling with it.
"Scorpy, is that a tail or are you just happy to see me?" a young voice taunted him
"Oh, you got to be shitting me" Scorpion frowned as a guy dressed in red and blue with a web pattern over it jumped off of the villain's head, landing in front of the downed hero.
"YOU! HOW ARE YOU HERE?" Scorpion grunted as he tried to get his tail free
"Oh you know, one moment you're swinging down Wall street, the next you're landing in front of a beautiful woman from another world to stop another block head from beating her senseless. Huh" the hero said making Mandalay blush
"What?" Scorpion snarled.
"3...2...1" he said pointing to the sky
"AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!" a voice called out making Scorpion tremble.
"No, they're here as well" Scorpion panicked
"Oh, not just me and them, a whole bunch of us are here to make sure you guys are sent packing!" the hero declared as he jumped over Scorpion again.
"HOLD STILL!" Scorpion shouted
"Sure, but you first" Madnalay shouted, getting back on her feet and dragged her claws across the villain's face making him shout in agony as he held his face, blood seeping between his fingers
"Say cheese" the hero said as he swung his fist into the tail, breaking it off.
"NO!" Scorpion shouted as the two heroes teamed up and delivered a knockout punch to him, making him slump while being out cold.
"Oh, I'm Spider-man by the way" the hero said before he noticed that the shoulder of her dress was torn "Ah here hold that and that" he muttered before deploying a bit of web to hold them together
"Thanks, I'm Mandalay" she smiled
"A pleasure to meet you" Spider-man nodded.
"So, have you recover the girl?" Juggernaut asked
"A little busy here Juggernaut" Taskmaster shouted over the radio. This made Juggernaut curious as to what had happen to make it so his teammate was having trouble, since the heroes of this world were not that tough.
"MOVE GET OUT OF THE STREET" Juggernaut saw a man try to get civilians off the street, smirked he picked up a car and threw it at the man.
"HEY SMALL FRY CATCH!" he shouted throwing the car at the man, he simply looked at him in a sight for fright before he closed his eyes. The man started to grow and his skin started to changed into a green hue. "Uh oh" Juggernaut panicked before he was looking at someone who had thrown the car at.
"Well, well, well. I bet you weren't expecting me" the man said as he dropped the car. Well what was the man, for the man had grown, becoming the Incredible Hulk. Juggernaut suddenly became nervous, since he knew the Hulk could stop any momentum he built up, though it would be difficult for the green giant, except when he was flying at the Juggernaut like he was right now. Getting ready to run Hulk bowled the Juggernaut over and then started to punch him, denting his helmet
"CUT IT OUT" Juggernaut punched the jade gaunt in the jaw and got up to his feet, smirking as he ran at the Hulk, pushing the green giant back with some ease. What Juggernaut didn't know was that by pushing the Hulk back he was making him angrier and that meant he was becoming stronger.;
"Hulk not pushed around by big man, HULK SMASH!" he shouted bring down his fists onto the back of the Juggernaut making him crash into the ground. With a roar the Hulk stomped on the Juggernaut's chest, denting his armour even more.
"Too bad you weren't tough enough" Hulk said picking up Juggernaut
"Oh hey Hulk" Spiderman said as he was dragging Scorpion along, "Can I get a hand?" he asked making Hulk roll his eyes and heft Scorpion over his other shoulder. "Thanks" he smiled.
"So what should we do with these three?" Captain America asked
"Why not send them back to Doom, let them tell him we're here" Ironman said
"That would be a good idea" Dr Strange said a she opened a portal underneath the three "Say hi to Doom and Mordo for me" Strange smirked as he dropped them through. "That's done" Strange said
"That's good" Captain America said, he's gaze turned to the young lady they had first encountered here on this world, It was obvious she had calmed down now; "I'm sorry before Miss, but I'm Captain America, and we have come from a different world, one where they came from" he introduced himself smiling
"Thank you" the young lady wiped her eyes "I'm Ochako Uraraka aka Uravity, thank you for saving me. We have been worried since those new villains showed up, they were stronger then anything we faced" Urarkra said
"It's okay young one, we've dealt with danger like that before, in fact we regularly tangle with those kinds of threats" Captain Marvel said
"Which is why on our Earth we activated something called the Ultimate Alliance protocol; which tells us that a lot of people from different groups of heroes need to come together to stop an evil no single for can face" Capatain America told her "Now is there somewhere we can go?"
"There" Uraraka pointed at what looked like a fortress, "That's UA High but we've had to make it into a fortress so we can harbour those who can defend themselves. I was sent out on a mission to try and locate a bunch of pro heroes, but it turned out to be a trap" Uraraka explained
"Okay, let's go to school" Captain America said.
"This is going swimmingly" Loki smiled as he approached Dr Doom, who was sitting on a throne.
"Yes it is" Doom said as he smiled under his mask.
"Indeed, there is noting that will likely to be able" Loki started to say before Juggernaut, Scorpion and Taskmaster was dumped on the floor. Doom just shot Loki a look
"Well I didn't say it yet" Loki said before he turned to the trio, who looked banged up "What happened?" Loki asked
"They're here, The freaking Avengers are here" Juggernaut coughed
"And a whole lot more, I saw X-Men, Defenders, heck even a couple of Thunderbolts" Taskmaster told them, Doom once again shot Loki a look
"Okay, okay I get it, so there are now those who can and probably will get in our way" he stated
"But it is interesting that they still came for us, but I can't help but wonder how they found us" Doom frowned.
"Strange" Mordo growled "He must have searched the Multiverse for me, a mistake I'm sure he'll live to regret" Mordo scowled
"None the less, this has made things more interesting" Doom said "Come Avengers, and whoever you brought with you, for you will not win against Doom!"
G'day Guys Grizz here, and not going to lie, I didn't think I would tear up while writing this chapter, but I did, but come on put yourselves in the mindset and shoes of Uraraka and you would as well, plus I was listening to an Epic version of Fight as One; though originally I was planing that scene of them coming out of the portal to be a preview chapter but I figured it would work just as well here. In fact it was probably better then my original plan. In the next chapter we'll see what really happened to that mission with Uraraka and why she was sent out there
