News for Everyone, and Oreburgh Mine
In the Loud house's living room, the Louds, Clyde, Liam, Zach, and Stella were in the living room on and around the couch, while Lisa was standing in front of them.
"What is this all about?" asked Lori.
"Why did Lisa ask me, Stella, Zach, and Liam to come here?" asked Clyde.
"Maybe it has something to do with Lincoln?" suggested Luan.
"I hope Lisa found him." said Stella.
"Where's that traitor, Rusty, at?" asked Zach.
"Don't know, don't care!" said Stella.
"I didn't invite him for 'obvious reasons'." said Lisa.
"Too bad; I had a few knuckle sandwiches I wanted to force feed him." Lynn Jr said while punching the palm of her hand.
"So, what's up, sis?" Luna asked Lisa.
"One of my multi-dimensional drones has located our sole brother unit." said Lisa.
"You found Lincoln?!" replied Lana while everyone else gave excited replies.
"Where is he?" asked Stella.
"Is he okay?!" asked Rita.
"Is he safe?!' asked Lynn Sr.
"I have a surveillance photo of him from my drone." said Lisa as she points a remote at the TV behind her and turns it on; she then takes her device out of her pocket and inputs a command on it, making a picture of Lincoln, Sam, and Dawn entering a cave tunnel appear on the screen.
"Is that Sam?!" asked Luna with surprise in her voice.
"Yes, apparently she's in Lincoln's company." said Lisa.
"At least we know where she is now." said Lori.
"But what's she doing with Lincoln?" asked Luna.
"I don't know, but we shouldn't jump to conclusions." said Lisa.
"Yeah, remember what happened last time you did that, Luna." said Lori, making Luna look away with shame.
"And who's that other girl that's with them?" asked Lola.
"I don't know at this time." said Lisa.
"I love her outfit." said Leni.
"Maybe Lincoln got a new girlfriend?" suggested Zach, making a look of heartache appear on Stella's face.
"If he did, Rusty is literally going to get it harder than he did when we found out he made that stupid photo!" said Lori, punching her palm.
"If anyone deserves to get the first punch on that jerk, it should be me!" said Stella.
"Where are they at?" asked Clyde.
"They're in 'Dimension PKMN-G8'." said Lisa.
"Now that we know where they are, let's go get them, and bring them home." said Lori.
"I still haven't finished my new Dimensional Watch yet." said Lisa.
"Well, hurry up and finish it!" said Lynn Jr.
"I'll have it finished by tomorrow morning." said Lisa. "The final stages of making it are very delicate and require time and concentration."
"Let's be patient, everyone." said Lynn Sr. "We should be grateful that Lincoln and Sam are okay, and we know where they are."
"At least there's that." said Rita.
"How have they survived all this time?" asked Clyde.
"Judging by the fact that there's another human with them, they must be in a dimension that has sustenance that's safe for people." said Lisa.
"Do they have any sort of shelter?" asked Rita.
"Since they all look clean, they must have a place to live." said Lisa.
"Why are we wasting Lisa's time having her answer questions when she could work on finishing that Dimensional Watch?" asked Stella.
"Now that is a good question." said Clyde.
"I'll continue finishing it right away." said Lisa as she turns off the TV and starts heading back towards her bunker.
"Lincoln, we're coming to get you and Sam." said Stella.
Meanwhile, back in the Sinnoh region, Lincoln, Sam, and Dawn were exploring the Oreburgh Mine.
"This place is huge." said Lincoln.
"Let's see what kind of Pokemon we can find." said Sam. As they take a step forward, they see some Pokemon that looked like boulders with arms, eyes, and mouths bouncing along nearby.
"What are those?" asked Lincoln as he points his pokedex towards them.
"Geodude, the Rock Pokemon. It is impossible to distinguish from rocks. It slams against others in contests of toughness." said the pokedex. All of a sudden, they all hear some rumbling coming from a nearby wall.
"What's that noise?" asked Dawn. She got her answer when a large Pokemon that looked like a snake made out of rocks, plus a protrusion sticking out the top of its head.
"What's that?" asked Sam as she takes out her pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Onix, the Rock Snake Pokemon. It squirms through the ground using its long and rugged body. It always eats while burrowing." said Sam's pokedex. The Onix suddenly lunges towards them, making the group duck out of the way to avoid it.
"If it wants a battle, I'll give it one!" said Sam as she takes out her Piplup's pokeball, and lets her out of it.
"Good move, Sam." said Lincoln. "Water types should have an advantage against rock and ground types."
"All right, Piplup; use Water Gun!" said Sam. Piplup releases a spray of water from her beak that hits the Onix, doing super effective damage, and sends it crashing into a cave wall, causing part of it to break apart. The Onix rises up and growls at her.
"That's one tough Pokemon." said Lincoln. The Onix then scoops up some nearby rocks and dumps them onto Piplup.
"Oh, so you want to play rough, huh?" Sam said. She then notices that the Onix was breathing hard.
"I think it used up the last of its energy with that last attack." said Lincoln.
"Do you want to catch it?" asked Dawn.
"Well, I do like to rock, and that is a 'rock' Pokemon." said Sam. She then takes out an empty pokeball from her backpack and throws it at the Onix, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles before clicking.
"You caught it, sis!" said Lincoln. Sam smiles as she picks up her new Onix's pokeball, and lets it out.
"Hey, Onix." said Sam. "Sorry Piplup was hard on you, but you did kind of attack us for no reason." The Onix looks away with shame. "But that doesn't mean we can't still be friends." Onix seems to brighten up after hearing that.
"What's your Onix like?" asked Dawn. Sam looks up her new Pokemon's information on her pokedex.
"This says that Onix is a dudette, she knows Tackle, Harden, Bind, Rock Throw, Smack Down, and Rock Polish; she has the Sturdy ability that keeps her from being taken down in one hit." said Sam. She then takes a Potion she had in her backpack and uses it to treat some of Onix's wounds.
"Let's keep looking around and do some more training." said Lincoln. He and Sam spent a couple hours doing so.
Lincoln's Chimchar, Starly, and Hisuian Zorua got stronger, and his Bidoof learned Headbutt.
Sam's Piplup learned Peck, her Shinx learned Bite, her Kricketune learned Absorb which helped his training in the mine, her Zubat learned Mean Look, and her Onix learned Dragon Breath.
Right now, Lincoln, Sam, and Dawn were watching as Chimchar, Starly, Bidoof, Piplup, and Shinx were all glowing.
"Wow, all of them are evolving!" said Lincoln.
"This is so cool!" said Sam. The Pokemon all started to change before their eyes.
Chimchar was taller, his fur was a lighter shade of orange, he had a ring of white fur around his neck, the brow over his eyes was blue, and he had a tail that had a flame on the end of it. Lincoln points his pokedex at him.
"Monferno, the Playful Pokemon, and the evolved form of Chimchar. It uses ceilings and walls to launch aerial attacks. Its fiery tail is but one of its weapons." said Lincoln's pokedex.
"Awesome!" said Lincoln. "And this says that he's part fighting type now, and he learned Mach Punch! That will come in handy during my gym battle."
Lincoln's Starly was a lot bigger, his beak was longer, his wings were longer, and the feathers on the top of his head were curled forward. Lincoln points his pokedex at him.
"Staravia, the Starling Pokemon, and the evolved form of Starly. They live in forests and fields. Squabbles over territory occur when flocks collide." said Lincoln's pokedex.
"And this says my new Staravia has the Intimidate ability now." said Lincoln.
Lincoln's Bidoof was bigger, he had hands now, and he now had a beaver tail. Lincoln points his pokedex at her.
"Bibarel, the Beaver Pokemon, and the evolved form of Bidoof. While its movements out of water are sluggish, it can swim as fast as any Feebas." said Lincoln's pokedex.
"This says that Bibarel is part water type now, and she just learned Water Gun!" said Lincoln.
"That will really help in your gym battle, Lincoln." said Dawn with a smile.
Sam's Piplup was bigger, she was mostly dark blue with light blue face marking, the lower half of her body was light blue and had four white dots on it, as well as two yellow ridges on top of her head. Sam points her pokedex at her newly evolved Piplup.
"Prinplup, the Penguin Pokemon, and the evolved form of Piplup. Its wings deliver wicked blows that snap even the thickest of trees. It searches for prey in icy seas." said Sam's pokedex.
"Rad!" said Sam. "And my pokedex says she learned Metal Claw after evolving."
Sam's Shinx was bigger, and she had black fur on her head around her face. She points her pokedex at her newly evolved Pokemon.
"Luxio, the Spark Pokemon, and the evolved form of Shinx. It rests its forelegs on others to communicate with rhythmic electric pulses from its claws." said Sam's pokedex.
"That is so cool!" said Sam. She then looks at the clock on her Poketch and sees it was going to be dark soon. "Let's head back to the Pokemon Center and grab some dinner."
"Sure, I can eat." said Lincoln. "And I'm certain our Pokemon worked up an appetite also." The Pokemon nod in response.
"Let's get going then." said Sam. As the group walk by the opening in the wall that Sam's Onix made when she burst through it, Lincoln notices something in the rubble.
"What's that?" asked Lincoln. He walks over and sees what looked like a rock with an egg with a ring around it embedded in it. He picks it up and examines it all over.
"What you got there, little bro?" asked Sam as she and Dawn walk over behind him.
"I see you found a fossil." said a voice behind them. They turn to see a young man with red hair, wearing glasses, and a mining outfit consisting of a red mining helmet, a gray, short-sleeved jacket over a black tank top, gray pants, and black boots with red soles.
"Oh, hello." said Lincoln.
"Do you work here?" asked Sam.
"Yeah." said the man. "I'm Roark, the boss of the Oreburgh Mine."
"Hey, aren't you also the Oreburgh gym leader?" asked Lincoln.
"Yes, I am." replied the man now revealed to be Roark.
"I'm Lincoln Loud." said Lincoln.
"I'm Sam Sharp." said Sam.
"And I'm Dawn." said Dawn.
"So, this thing I have is actually a fossil?" asked Lincoln as he holds out the object he found.
"That's right." said Roark. "An Armor Fossil to be precise."
"That's cool." said Sam.
"If you want to see something really cool, then you'd want to stop by the museum."
"How come?" asked Lincoln.
"They have a machine that can resurrect a fossil." said Roark, shocking Lincoln, Sam, and Dawn.
"You're saying that there's technology that can do that?!" replied Lincoln.
"Yes, it took decades to develop." said Roark.
"Man, if my sister, Lisa, knew about that, she would go ballistic." said Lincoln. "But anyway, I want to challenge you to a gym battle, sir." His stomach suddenly growls.
"It sounds like you're hungry right now." said Roark.
"Yeah, and I suppose it is getting a little late." said Sam.
"I can wait until morning." said Lincoln. "Maybe I can check out the museum after our gym battle."
"Sounds like a plan." said Roark. The group and Roark exit the mine, with Roark going to his home; while Lincoln, Sam, and Dawn head for the Pokemon Center; once there, they give the nurse their Pokmeon. After having dinner in the cafeteria, as well as showering and brushing their teeth, they went to their sleeping quarters, climb into their beds, and minutes later, they fell asleep.
