Space-Time Distortions
Lisa and Lincoln, along with Lincoln's Pokemon; head down from the Heights Camp over to the mysterious dome to investigate it. They were soon within arms reach of the phenomenon.
"What do you think this is?" asked Lincoln.
"I am uncertain at this time, brother." said Lisa. "But I recommend caution until we obtain sufficient data."
The two circle the dome until they soon reach their starting point. Out of curiosity, Lincoln picks up a rock and tosses it into the dome.
"Do you think it's safe to try stepping into this?" asked Lincoln as he continues to observe the dome.
"Well, nothing happened to that rock you threw in." said Lisa. "But we don't know what effect it'll have on organic matter."
As the two look at it, a curious wild Kricektot runs over to the dome and looks it over itself; after a few seconds, the Pokemon runs inside while Lincoln and Lisa observe it.
"Nothing's happening to that Kricketot." said Lincoln. With some hesitation, Lincoln extends his pinkie and slowly moves it closer to the dome to the point there was barely a centimeter between the two things.
"Be careful, brother." said Lisa. Gathering whatever courage he could, he thrusts his pinkie into the dome; after a few seconds, Lincoln puts his entire body into the dome. After about a minute of nothing happening to him, it was safe to say that it okay for organic beings to enter the dome.
"What now, Lisa?" asked Lincoln. Lisa, reluctantly, enters the dome herself and waits for something to happen to her; after a while, she relaxes.
"It appears it's safe for us to occupy this strange phenomenon." said Lisa. Lincoln then notices small surges of electricity were popping out of nowhere from time to time.
"What do you think this is?" asked Lincoln.
"Perhaps we should explore the area within this dome and see what we can find?" suggested Lisa.
As the two Louds began to explore the mysterious dome; elsewhere, Luna and Lana were approaching the same phenomenon to do a little investigating of their own.
"What do you think that is?" asked Lana.
"Don't know, Lana." Luna replied. "Still wishing that Lisa was here."
As the two slowly approached the dome, Lana sees some movement on the shore near a river; she looks closer and sees a pink, sluglike Pokemon with six, dark pink-tipped, growths coming out of its head, plus several spikes on its back.
"What's that?" asked Lana.
"Don't know." said Luna as she notices the Pokemon herself. The Pokemon, that just notices the two Louds, launches a large glob of mud at them.
"Whoa!" said Lana as she and Luna dodges the attack as it splatters on the ground. Lana walks over to the mud and puts her hand in it.
"What are you doing, Lana?" asked Luna.
"I don't know why, but I feel relaxed with mud." said Lana. She then looks at the Pokemon and decides to catch it; she takes out her Mothim's pokeball and lets him out of it.
"Okay, Mothim! Use Silver Wind!" said Lana. Her Mothim flaps his wings, releasing a blast of wind that had silvery specks in it at the pink Pokemon, hitting it, and knocking it back; it responds by summoning rocks with fossils in them and launching them at Mothim, hitting him, and dealing super effective damage.
"Be careful, Lana." said Luna.
"Mothim, use Struggle Bug!" said Lana. Mothim flies at the Pokemon and releases green streams of energy that hit it, dealing damage, and weakening its attack power; it reacts by trying to launch mud at Mothim, but it misses. "Now use Gust!" Mothim flaps his wings, releasing a gust of wind at the Pokemon, hitting it, and knocking it onto its side.
"Try to catch it, Lana!" said Luna. Lana takes out an empty pokeball from her satchel and tosses it at the Pokemon, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles once before a firework shoots out of it.
"Yeah!" cheered Lana.
"Nice one, Lana." said Luna. Lana picks up her new Pokemon's pokeball and looks it over.
"Next time I see Lisa or Professor Laventon, I'm gonna see what Pokemon this is." said Lana.
"Let's check out that weird dome thing now." said Luna. She and Lana soon reach the strange phenomenon, throw caution to the wind, and step inside it.
"This is weird." said Lana as electricity fills the air.
"Let's be careful." said Luna as she and Lana look around.
Meanwhile, near Tidewater Dam; Lynn was approaching the same dome her siblings were investigating.
"What is this?" asked Lynn. When she reaches it, she steps inside the dome without a thought and starts looking around.
Meanwhile, back with Lincoln and Lisa, they were almost done exploring the dome they were in.
"Not much out of the ordinary in here." said Lisa.
"Yeah, I think we're done." said Lincoln. But immediately after he said that, the dome starts to swirl while it starts to turn purple, darkening the inside.
"What is this?" asked Lisa. Suddenly, Pokemon and objects that they mostly haven't seen before start appearing out of nowhere.
"Where are these coming from?" asked Lincoln.
"I'm not sure." replied Lisa. A pink Pokemon with a really big tongue comes running towards them.
"Watch it, Lisa!" said Lincoln. His Luxio runs past the two Louds and bites down on the approaching Pokemon with electricity-coated fangs. As the two siblings look around for an escape route, Lincoln notices what looked like a blue, four-pointed, stone nearby; out of curiosity, he picks it up.
"What is that, brother?" asked Lisa.
"Don't know." said Lincoln before he puts the object in his satchel.
Meanwhile, with Luna and Lana, they were both in the same situation as Lincoln and Lisa were.
"Where are these Pokemon coming from?" asked Lana as her new pink Pokemon launches a pulsing blast of water at an incoming one that looked like a snake that's made of rocks.
"Wish I knew that myself." said Luna. As she looks around, she sees a small, light gray and purple, weasel-like Pokemon with one small gray ear and one long purple one; and purple claws looking at her. Not knowing what to do, she lets out her Kricketune to battle it.
"Okay, Kricketune; use Leech Life!" said Luna. Her Kricketune flies at the Pokemon and bites down on it, not doing a lot of damage; it responds by slashing her with its claws. "Kricketune, use Slash!" Her Kricketune flies at the Pokemon again, this time, slashing it with its feelers; the opponent reacts by slamming down on her with its hands, not doing a lot. "Use Slash again!" Her Kricketune slashes her opponent again, knocking it to the ground.
"Might as well catch it; maybe Lisa will be able to tell me more about it." said Luna. She takes an empty pokeball out of her satchel and tosses it at the Pokemon, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles once before a firework shoots out.
With Lana, she has her pink Pokemon launch a glob of mud at the rock snake Pokemon, dealing super effective damage.
"How many Pokemon are gonna show up?" asked Lana.
"No idea." said Luna as she bends down to pick up her new capture; as she does, she sees a golden orb next to it; not knowing what to do with it, she just puts it in her satchel to check out later.
"I hope the others aren't having as tough a time as we are." said Lana.
With Lynn, her Machop was taking on a Pokemon that was similar to the one Luna just caught, but it was navy blue instead of gray, with white claws.
"Machop, use Rock Smash!" said Lynn. Her Machop slams her fists down onto the Pokemon, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out.
As she looks around, she spots a red, four-pointed, rock and picks it up.
"Wonder what this is." said Lynn before she puts the object in her satchel.
With Lincoln and Lisa, their Pokemon were getting tired from all the battling against the appearing Pokemon.
"Let's get out of here." said Lincoln before he, Lisa, and their Pokemon head for the edge of the dome and run out through it; they look back to see the Pokemon inside heading their way.
"They are relentless." said Lisa. Just then, the dome suddenly disappears, along with the Pokemon inside it.
"Where did it go?" asked Lincoln.
"I have no idea." said Lisa.
With Luna, Lana, and Lynn Jr; the domes they were in all vanished as well.
"That was pretty weird." said Luna.
"At least we're okay." said Lana.
Later, at the Heights Camp; Lincoln, Lisa, and their Pokemon were resting after their ordeal. As they did, Luna, Lana, and Lynn enter the area.
"How was your day, guys?" asked Lincoln in a tired tone of voice.
"You won't believe what happened to us." said Luna.
"This weird dome appeared that had a lot of Pokemon in it." said Lana.
"You saw one also?" asked Lynn. The same thing happened to me."
"Us, too." said Lincoln.
"At least we're all unharmed." said Lisa.
"Yeah." said Luna as she takes out a pokeball and tosses it, releasing the Pokemon she caught in her dome.
"What's that?" asked Lincoln. Lisa takes out the notes she got from Professor Laventon and looks through them.
"That would be a local version of Sneasel." said Lisa. "It's part poison and part fighting types; yours should at least know Quick Attack, Rock Smash, Swift, and Slash."
"What about this one?" asked Lana as she takes out her pink, sluglike Pokemon's pokeball and lets it out.
"That would be a Shellos." said Lisa after she looks through her notes. "Did you see it use any attacks?"
"It launched a bunch of rocks with fossils, some water, and a large glob of mud." said Lana.
"That would mean your Shellos should know Mud-Slap, Tackle, Water Pulse, and Ancient Power." said Lisa. "Luna's Sneasel's and your Shellos are both males."
"Thanks, sis." said Luna as she and Lana return their newest Pokemon to their pokeballs.
"What were those domes?" asked Lincoln.
"You think that Professor Laventon would know?" asked Lynn.
"We can ask him when we get back to Jubilife Village." said Lisa.
"Yeah, we had enough excitement for today." said Lincoln.
"We'll rest up, then head back." said Luna.
The Loud sibings have just had a strange experience. What are the mysterious domes that appeared in the Obsidian Fieldlands? Will Professor Laventon have answers? Wait and find out.
