A Rough Day

It was Monday morning at Royal Woods High School back in Royal Woods. Lori, Leni, Luna, and Luan were walking down a hallway, looking glum. It had been two days since Jackie and Mandee posted about what the Louds, except Lily, did to Lincoln, and from all the comments on it, it was clear that not one person approved of the Louds' actions. As they walked down the hall, they see Dana, a now former friend of theirs, frowning at them while crossing her arms. As they continued walking, they see Joey, standing in front of his locker, reading a book.

"Hi, Joey." Lori said nervously. Joey only turned his back towards her and the others without saying a word and continued reading. Leni sees Chaz walking down the hall.

"Hey, Chaz." Leni said, cheerfully. Chaz didn't respond and walked past them. Leni frowned at this. Lori sees Becky and Whitney talking to each other.

"Hey, Becky; hey, Whitney." said Lori. The two girls ignored her and continued with their conversation. They continued walking until Lori sees Bobby Santiago, standing in the middle of the hall, crossing his arms while frowning at her. "Hi, Bobby."

"How could you all just throw your own little brother out onto the streets like that?" asked Bobby.

"I...I don't know." said Lori.

"We thought he was bad luck." explained Luan.

"And that's a good enough reason to do that to Lincoln?" replied Bobby. "You're all his older sisters! You're supposed to look after him, not endanger him by kicking him onto the streets with just a pair of pajamas!"

"We made a mistake, Bobby." said Lori.

"You bet you all did." said Bobby. He rubs his temples in frustration. "I think we some time apart for a while."

"What?!" replied Lori. "No, Bobby; please!" Bobby doesn't say anything as he turns around and walks away, leaving Lori heartbroken with tears in her eyes. (Authors' Note: For people who want Lori and Bobby to stay together, don't worry; it's only temporary.) They all hear the school bell ring, indicating that school was about to start.

"Let's get to class, dudes." said Luna.

"We can figure out what to do later." said Luan. Lori just nods slowly as she, Leni, Luna, and Luan head for their first classes for the day.

Luna's first class was her all-time favorite: Music. When she enters the classroom, the sound of music instruments being played suddenly stops. She looks to see all her classmates staring right at her with looks of disapproval.

"H-H-Hey, everyone." said Luna. No one says a word back to her as they continue to frown. Luna slowly walks towards her usual seat where she and her friends usually sit. She sees her bandmates, the Moon Goats, talking to each other. They stop when they hear Luna approaching, then look at her with frowns. Her girlfriend, Sam Sharp, gets up out of her seat, and walks over to her.

"Hello, Luna." said Sam with a frown. Luna lets out a sigh as she knew why Sam was upset.

"I take it you all heard what me and my fam did to Lincoln?" asked Luna.

"Who in Royal Woods hasn't?" replied Sam.

"What you did to your bro was not cool." said another bandmate, Mazzy.

"Seriously." said the third bandmate, Sully.

"I know!" said Luna. "I cared so much about 'good luck' that I didn't think about his feelings!"

"Did you even think about what could've happened out on the streets?!" asked Sam.

"What if a bad storm happened and he got hurt?" asked Mazzy.

"What if someone kidnapped him?" asked Sully.

"What was he supposed to eat?" asked Sam. "Just because your little sister, Lana, doesn't mind eating garbage, doesn't mean Lincoln would be willing to." Luna realizes that his friends were right. She and her family never considered that any of that stuff could've happened to Lincoln, and now she feels even worse.

"I...I'm sorry." said Luna.

"Maybe we're not the ones who deserve an apology." said Sam.

"We've tried looking for him!" said Luna. "We asked everyone who was at the mall that Lincoln won that scholarship at if they heard the name of the academy that Lincoln was sent to; but everyone either didn't know, didn't remember, or just didn't really want to talk to us!"

"Then keep looking!" snapped Sam. "And until you find Lincoln, and he forgives you, we don't want to hang out with you, and you're out of the Moon Goats." She then puts her backpack on Luna's seat.

"Where am I supposed to sit?" asked Luna. Sully points to the other side of the room, where an empty, rickety-looking, seat was. Not knowing what else to do, with tears in her eyes, she walks over to it, and sits down, only for the chair to suddenly fall apart, making her drop to the floor. Everyone else laughed at her in response. Luna's butt hurt, but not as much as her heart.

'I hope the younger sibs are having a better day than I am.' Luna thinks to herself.

At Royal Woods Middle School, Lynn Jr was walking down the hall, looking uncomfortable as she sees other students frowning at her. As she continued walking, she was approached by the Royal Woods Squirrels' softball coach.

"Loud!" said the coach.

"Hey, coach. What's up?" asked Lynn. The coach only frowns in response. "I take it you heard about my brother?"

"You better believe I did!" replied the coach. "Listen; no one likes to lose, but that was no excuse to put all the blame on your own brother. In all my years coaching, I have never seen such a poor display of sportsmanship in my entire career!"

"I'm sorry, okay?! It won't happen again!" exclaimed Lynn.

"I know it won't, because I'm cutting you from the team." said the coach. Lynn's eyes widen in shock.

"What?! No, coach, please!" exclaimed Lynn, dropping to her knees, pleading.

"Sorry, Loud, but my decision is final. I'm also here to inform you that all the other coaches are cutting you from their teams as well." said the coach. "You will clean out your locker after school. Margo will be taking your place as team captain." The coach turned her back towards Lynn. "Goodbye, Loud. You were a good athlete; too bad you weren't a good sport." The coach walks away, leaving Lynn, now on her hands and knees with tears in her eyes.

'I wonder how my other sisters are doing?' Lynn asked herself.

At Royal Woods Elementary, the youngest Loud sisters, except Lily, were having a rough day. When they got to school, they were met with frowns by every student and staff member in the building. All their friends, and Lola's admirers, turned their backs on them. Even though their teachers were professional enough to give them educations; they still didn't approve of what Lincoln's family did to him.

Lucy's friends kicked her out of the Morticians' Club, while giving her a complimentary tombstone in memory of her club membership.

When the sisters saw Lincoln's friends at their lockers, they were greeted with frowns from all of them, except Clyde, who pretty much ignored them completely. They could tell how upset he was by how red and puffy his eyes were. They tried talking to him, but he wouldn't even say a syllable to them.

Clyde put some blame for Lincoln being gone on himself. He knew Lincoln well enough to know that he would've gone to his house after his family kicked him out. If he and his dads were at home, and not out of town, they would've taken Lincoln in, and he'd still be in Royal Woods.

Things got worse for the younger Loud sisters when Ronnie Anne got involved.

Currently, Lana was just coming out of a locker, while her other sisters walked up to her, covered in garbage.

"Ronnie Anne got to you, too?" asked Lola while picking a banana peel off her head.

"Yeah." said Lana. "What happened to all of you?"

"She dumped us all into trash cans." said Lucy.

"How come I got stuffed into a locker instead?" asked Lana.

"She probably knew you wouldn't have minded the trash can." said Lisa as she wipes grime off her glasses.

"At least she won't beat up little kids, no matter what." said Lana.

"Today has been horrible!" cried Lola. "I gave an extravagant entrance to me and Lana's class today, but everyone booed me and didn't ask for my autograph!"

"We did this to ourselves." said Lucy. "If we hadn't thrown Lincoln out, this wouldn't be happening."

"This is Lynn's fault!" said Lola. "If she didn't give Lincoln the stupid idea of pretending to be bad luck, we wouldn't have ended up throwing him out!"

"He wouldn't have gotten the idea if Lynn didn't accuse him of being bad luck after losing that softball game." said Lana.

"A game she forced him to be at in the first place." said Lisa.

"Remind me to throw her baseball bats into a woodchipper when we get home." said Lola.

"Will do." said Lisa as she pulls out a device and makes a note of it. As the Loud sisters try to get through a day at school, their parents weren't doing so great themselves.

After word got out what the Loud family did to Lincoln, the police came to their house, and arrested Lynn Sr and Rita Loud. Apparently, evicting someone under the age of eighteen from his or her home was against the law. They tried explaining that they didn't know that; but it didn't excuse the fact that they still did it. Lynn Sr. and Rita were put under house arrest until their future court date. They were still allowed to go to work, but they were put under police surveillance, which made them uncomfortable.

Right now, they were on the couch in their living room, trying to cheer Lily up.

Lily has been miserable, despite the fact that no one was giving her a hard time due to her being just a baby, since Lincoln left. She wasn't as cheerful as she used to be. She went to Lincoln's room, after Lana took down the barricade, to see if Lincoln was there, reading comics in his underwear; but she was disappointed when he wasn't. The family tried to at least get her to smile, but they had no success.

"Come on, Lily; give us a little smile." said Rita as she waves her teddy bear in front of her. When she saw it didn't make Lily smile, she just sets it on the couch, and plops back onto it, along with Lynn Sr.

"Nothing cheers her up." said Lynn Sr. "I guess she really misses Lincoln."

"Why did we kick Lincoln out of the house?" asked Rita. "Was luck really so important to us that we didn't care about his feelings or well-being?"

"Rita, please; after everything that's happened to us, I never want to hear the L-word in this house, ever again." said Lynn Sr.

"That makes two of us." said Rita. Just then, the other Loud sisters came in through the front door.

"Hi, kids." said Lynn Sr. "How was school?"

"Oh, Daddy; it was terrible!" said Lola as she runs up to him and hugs his leg.

"Everyone's mad at us!" said Lana. After Lola finishes hugging Lynn Sr's. leg, she walks over to Lynn Jr, and stomps down on her foot, grinding the heel of her shoe into it.

"OW!" shouts Lynn Jr as she hops up and down on her non-stomped foot. Luna glares at her.

"This is your fault!" yelled Luna. "You just had to blame that loss of yours on our bro!"

"Especially since you made him go to that game in the first place!" exclaimed Lori.

"Now everyone in Royal Woods hates us!" exclaimed Lola.

"Look, I'm sorry, all right!" exclaimed Lynn Jr, still in pain from the foot-stomping.

"I wonder where Linky is right now?" asked Leni.

"At least he's safe somewhere, getting a good education, wherever he went, to whatever academy the scholarship was to." said Rita.

"I wish we knew where he was so we can go there, apologize, and bring him home." said Luan.

"Assuming he wants to return home to a heartless family who literally throws him out onto the street without a second thought." said Lori.

"But no one knows or remembers where he went; or is willing to talk to us." said Luna.

"What are we going to do?" asked Lana. Lola then looks at Lynn Jr, who was still writhing in agony on the floor, and remembers something she planned on doing, then runs upstairs. While most everyone else discussed future plans; Lisa grabs Lily's hand, and leads her upstairs to their room, where she gives Lily her stuffed giraffe.

"I don't know what we're going to do, Lily." said Lisa. "The entire city is against us because of what we did to our sole brother unit."

"Yinky." said Lily with a sniffle. Lisa lets out a sigh of sorrow.

"I miss him too, Lily." said Lisa. "I can't believe I bought into superstition so easily. Even my science colleagues at the university couldn't believe I did that; not that I blame them for doing so. Some girl-of-science I turned out to be." She then walks over to their bedroom window and looks up into the sky.

'Brother; where are you?' Lisa asked herself. She then hears the sound of whirring machinery appear from the backyard.

"Hey! Don't even think of putting my baseball bats in that!" said Lynn Jr. The sound of grinding suddenly appears. "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Thinking for a second, Lisa remembers what Lola planned to do when they got home.

"Silly me, I forgot about that." said Lisa.
